ehh. patch after patch.. are they making the game more fun to play or less fun to play.
each patch that happens i log on less and less. i have played mmo since uo, im not finding many reasons to log into gw2 in its current state (being so unstable and swinging the nerf bat every patch)
btw izerker was not a mistake it was a stealth nerf anet got caught in. you arent getting buffed you are getting nerfed to the point that your only spot in the game is chaining sprints trying to catch up to the braindead zerg. poorly managed game is poorly managed.
its turning quickly into nerf wars like wow. the start of the last expansion warriors were good priests were good blah blah blah.. anythign that was good is made unplayable until the unplayable class is the one whining and the tables turn. sad state of balance and sad way to handle it.

go into spvp where you are under pressure and force yourself to turn using the mouse durring fighhts. it will be frustrating at first but you should learn under the most tense situation so everything else is easy in comparison and you dont crumble if you get into a fight in wvw or w/e.
wow osi the thing that amazes me about the video is how you get your i leap to work correctly. your clone seems to path better then mine does on flat ground and yours is running up and down hills.
there isnt a mesmer that benefits from staying in meele all the time from what i know. unless you want to play a retaliation mesmer. after blurred frenzy you should not be face tanking just because its more exciting then not face tanking.
2.. that isnt bad at all. when you get to fixing the 2 engineer bugs can you fix any of the 10+ mesmer bugs that are profession breaking

ya seems like someone being awesome by being useless. its like all the bunkers in spvp who dont die but dont kill anything then lol in chat saying “you cant kill me”.
legit meaning what.. that he went from 100% hp to 25% while not moving your hp at all then ran for his life.. i guess thats legit.
“theives can do the same but they need to get close”? mesmers burst for shatter/blurred needs to be just as close as a thief and we have only 1 tool to get close….(and it dosent work on hills)
i play that spec in wvw and dont really have an issue with bunkers. vs meele kite away while keeping them snared with izerker. use your ccs when they dont have aegis up(wave with gsword and temportal curtain vortex) the knockdowns last a while especially when chained. dont forget to get retaliation out of your curtain before pulling with it.
in the same way that bunkers can outlast your damage better then other specs you can do the same.. fighting a bunker turns you into a bunker pretty much(since their dps sucks and it takes so long to kill you)
im still waiting for the fraps of you getting blown up by mesmers. you started your post a while ago saying how op they are. maybe if you post yourself fighitng mesmers we can teach you what to do.
please dont ask for fraps if you are not willing to provide the same.
here is a test.. after playing your mesmer and knowing how it works… roll a lvl 2 of a class you dont play very much go on thier forum… pick the popular build and see if you can kill mesmers with it.
after playing a main mesmer and knowing thier tricks.. even without knowing the new classes tricks …. i can kill mesmers. its more of a lt kitten ue

The reason i dont see mesmers as op….. since i play a mesmer……i can get on almost any other class and kill another mesmer….. because im not stupid while fighting them.
stopped playing for now. i check back every once in a while to see if anything is fixed.. ive played mmo since the start of uo and it just seems there is nowhere to play that isnt a complete mess. uo is garbage now because the dev overnerf anyone who can win a 1v1 until you are forced to reroll. and gw2 breaks more things then they fix every patch..

half the nerf is done already… greatsword mesmers have been rendered garbage. now they just need to take care of staff users. i already quit playing until gs is fixxed i just check here every once in a while to see if there is an update..
in full ascended/exotic glass cannon gear my izerker hits for 1200 most of the time.
its worse then just hitting 1.

imo this is a intentional nerf.. the way anet has responded with nothing. no followup at all, not a comment or “we have isolated” or “have some ideas” nothing. they got caught trying to stealth nerf something and are now just brushing people off and hope they forget about it. ive stopped playing gw2 at this point waiting for anet to get thier stuff together and fix some of the basics.
the problem of zerker isnt really that connected to hitting… his base damage was nerfed by 1/3. even if every hit were to land on a target the damage would be a fraction of what it was pre patch. repeatedly stating that the issue is an issue of missing is just confusing the actual problem . every one of his hits has had its damage reduced. if you want to say that missing + the damage reduction is a double nerf to our weapon then that can be argued but the main nerf was a straight damage nerf to the individual hits.
Proximity Anguish is a betaskill but it occurs when standing near a player in stealth. The minor damage is the actual damage being taken. Getting insta-gibbed means you’re most likely running full squishy or ignoring phantasms.

wow its crazy to see a dev showing up to talk to you guys about anything. pretty dumb to look a gift horse in the mouth.. go to another forum and count the threads that a dev had any input on… most of the time if there is a red tag on a post it is locking the thread.
your pvp mesmer celebrities are in wvw. not spvp.
durring the patch when they tried to fix presitge the izerker lost 1/3 of its damage. so youu wont notice a change or anything wrong unless you knew how it worked pre patch.

havent seen more complex pvp then 2 7x anatomy mages fighitng. until Tom Chilton “kalgan” ruined it with age of shadows(then moved on to ruin wow pvp).
tom chilton is still ruining wow today pvp nerf bat gets swung daily. the guy single handedly ruined ultima online. he was the 1 person responsable. then he got hired by wow to do the same thing for all these years.
heres my point .. dont think because someoen has done something for a long time or because someone throws a bunch of money at them that they are good at thier job.

mesmers got nerfed last patch by a bug cutting izerker damage in half.
time warp nerf. they are upset about thier buffs to beams because its almost impossible to line up 2 targets.. blah blah. tears all over.
engineers even though they got buffed seem to be whining a ton also. more then they are happy about the buffs.
thieves think they are broken by the reveal buff.
warriors are “quitting” over the “game breaking” nerf to quickness that takes away all thier greatsword burst.
guardians got nothing notable.
blah blah. not sure if there is alot to whine about or that whiners post more on the forums.
your rotation is messed up?? rotation = wow. there is already a game where you can macro your whole dps chain to 1 button. i think they expect you to think on your feet about the best thing to do. not have a 1 2 3 button rotation that = braindead. maybe im mistaken. i know that "rotation"isnt the only thing this hurt. adapt and evolve.
Just have the immobilize happen at the target… i dont care what the littile clone does or where he runs to. hopefully he makes it to the party in time to shatter… just turn it into a shadowstep with an immobilize and a little shatterable clone kittenter fodder. ..
step one send out your clumsy error pathing clone towards your target… flat ground he makes it,, everything looks cool … great.! if its a hill let him go wherever he wants to on his way to the target…
step two swap. .. when you swap you shadowstep to the target…(not to the clone) aoe immobilize at the target.. your clone goes to where you started..nomatter where he ended up on his journey. ..
you still have the illusion of being replaced by a clone at your spot but you actually make it to your destination in the process.
i do not understand “due to a system constraint” what part of the video game are they not in control of or have limitiations in fixing. i gave them some money so it shouldnt be a money issue, the game already uses a good amount of cpu so i dont think a fixed leap would be a strain on anyones system. is every single part of the game limited by hills by design? is it an “art of war” stratagy choice that makes being on higher ground superior to lower ground. if there are any moves in the game that function despite a bump in the road cant the knowledge of how those work be put into making this work. if the hills cause more issues then they are worth in los, is there a way to have hills not obstruct certain ranged attacks and treat them as flat. you have the ability to spawn clones at the target wouldnt that be a better choice then having them path to the target.. or treat them as if they were the unicorn from the legendary short bow. they run in a path directly to the target. ill even take a ranibow on my guy if i have to.
somehow i do not accept beyond our limitation as an excuse given by the people who created the limitation.
hmm that video about the berzerker bug seems misleading because even when the izerker hits every time the damage is still reduced. the izerker does not miss the lions arch training dummies now or before patch but the damage is still reduced. i know the izerker cant crit on those dummies so it isnt a scaling with crit it is a base damage reduction. the missing in the video may be an added issue but not the damage reduction issue.
the cd on shatter was intended so you couldnt shatter the same 3 clones with more then 1 shatter. not sure what you mean gone.
so yes. i do need to farm another set of gear and hop on the fotm staff train. it seems that the torch would have been harder to fix then this since they not only had to fix the double blast mistake + the cooldown resetting error but they also had to not revert the fix to the weapon that was intended.

not sure i would make a blanket statment like that.
the one thing i think the devs should learn from the video.. NEVER DO IT AGAIN. every word they have said was twisted and blown out of proportion and speculated on.
i think boon stealing or boon stripping would be enough of a counter. same mechanics they have in place already 30% on crit steal a buff 5 stacks of bleed steal a buff. something like that. people who really cared about countering buffs could grab both traits to steal on crit and bleed.
shouldnt the control be near the center of the bell curve.

another dooms day panic attack.. wow. stop crying about things that have not happened. are people really this fragile ,, every professions forum has 2 or 3 doomsday posts on its front page. most are complete garbage and not based on any facts.
ya, the only time this matters is if you have 3 phantasms.. since clones replace clones before phantasms. so if you have 3 up(in pve) just do normal damage. if one dies put another up. even in a phantasm build its still better to shatter then to have your illusions cleared by an cleave attack of a boss or w/e.. if its just leveling then it dosent matter, one rotation and the mob is dead anyway nomatter what your weapons are.
pretty much. if you have a illusion circle empty it dosent matter if you fill it with a clone or phantasm. if you have them full and any are clones it dosent matter what you do either. if they are all full of phantasms and its a long fight,,,,, put your hardest hitting phantasms in all the slots. thats mostly for dungeon bosses. if the boss is meele and cleaves you may want to put a ranged phantasm on them… if they do projectiles you may want to put 3 wardens on them, if they chase you you may want 3 berzerkers on them to snare.
since forums are almost 90 percent whining and kittening the devs have no reason to come here for a conversation or to chat. read any post anywehre on any forum and its negative whiney doomsaying garbage with no examples no videos no screenshots.. just a kitten fest. i would stay clear of this place too if i was them. they know that whatever they say even if its a buff or just showing a red tag on a post it will be swarmed by negative children whining about thier own issues that are usually l2 kitten ues.
