Now you’re just rehashing the Magni the Bison fight also…
If it’s 1v1 … there’s always going to be 1 class that leaves all the others in the dust on it.
…nomatter how it was intended to be won
Gauntlet could’ve been more like an actual gauntlet like the Bison Tournament though where you have to beat a series of opponents in a row to win. Each of the opponents could then have mechanic to hate on each profession with some having high armor to deter warrior rushing and others with heavy condi removal and others with revealed debuff application and multi-shot unblockable bouncing projectiles to bypass blinds/reflects/anti projectiles/hate on destroy minions and clones

Uhhh…
ANet changed the way kits work a long time ago. When you wield Lightning Hammer (or any bundle, such as Grenade Kit), you gain all of the stats and sigils of the weapon set you have equipped.
The stats from your weapon and sigil is applied but the Weapon Strength remains separate. If the Weapon Strength difference is anything like the difference between rare and exo*, it the effect could be pretty significant.
Grade difference in weapons and armor impacts performance more greatly than trinkets since they carry Weapon Strength and base Armour unlike trinkets that are just purely atrribute boosters.
NB: *even with 25 bloodlust, a rare weapon outputs alot less damage than 0 bloodlust with an exo weapon.

With the introduction of ascended weapons, I fear the ele will become useless even in PvE.
Currently, the broken-ness of Lightning Hammer is the one things that keeps ele dungeon-worthy. However, since weapon stats are being buffed while LH’s stats would likely be neglected, our damage to survivability ratio would just take another hit compared to other professions.
You would already get 1-shotted from bosses at high level fractals if using full zerker so even if AR worked on LH, you’d probably still die but the question still remains: what if the AR from the ascended weapon doesn’t get carried over?

Yea, my frined uses e shift-e q and shift-q.
The real question is, why does shift click activate chat when in combat? Who is going to -l-I-k-e- (edit) link skills mid combat?
For warriors in soloQ I think you would want to ping your Warbanner to let others know you’re rezzing so others don’t waste their skills also trying to help the owne players
Also thieves’ SR to tell the downed player to stop spamming 1/ press escape to cancel the guardian/necro channeled downed skill.
Would be useful for Glyph of Renewal too but… Ele.

You win that round. I opened the game and looked at the tooltip and it still said I was right.
Nek minnit I press the skill and Duelist/Swordsman and it’s 12 CD and Warden is 15 CD.
Sorry for being rude.
But since I heard you liked to PuG. I doubt you get enough might stacks and fury to do higher than than ele even when there is potential for it. The ele numbers I’ve been using were based on 3 might stacks. The numbers get much more inflated when you’re constantly at 20-25 from simply being an ele.
Now I’ll play my trump card:
And then you factor in the fact that might has much reduced effects on mesmers and phantasms steal might stacks due to AoE might limit of 5 targets and there you have it, mesmers are still a burden.

Erm until recently we have been nerfed ALOT. Sure might not be to the same extent but lets face it BETA and just after Ele WAS the strongest class. Unfortunately this is Anet and they do what they are known for – Making a mess of things and decided to over nerf them week after week.
But but hey, spirit rangers and necroes used to be OP in PRE-beta and they were only just brought back recently. Maybe eles will be OP again soon. Fingers-crossed.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Sorry to tell you but those traits don’t stack. You take IC and none of the others will, so its a 20% reduction, down to 20seconds from 25seconds. You then can dodge, interrupt, Blind and stun the Mesmer. If you are unlucky and it summons at most 3-kittens based on reactions before you dodge out of the way.
Getting tired of quoting, IC and Weapon based phant CDR DO NOT STACK,
from wiki
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Illusionists_CelerityStacks with traits that reduce recharge time of weapon skills for a total 40% reduction of recharge time for weapon skills that generate illusions.
…
Any phantams mesmer can confirn is not an error….our build base on that stacking ….and its the reason why the IC nerf from 5 to 25 points was a huge hit….etc
Nope they never stacked even back when IC was 5 Illusion. Wiki has long since been outdated. Do you even mesmer?
And I remain firm on 3-3 being useless unless you plan to shatter with the resultant clone. The 1 second immob does little to assist in keeping a boss, you’re better off spamming 1 or better yet, use swordsman on melee bosses.
Warden sux vs non projectile bosses, if you actually took the leisure of bringing a stop watch you’d know with PH Warden only attacks once every ~13 seconds while Swordsman attacks once every ~3.5 seconds for 5-6k a hit and can be pulled out again much sooner after it dies. Again, the bleeding only adds about 2k damage to warden. Swordsman also dies much less since it leaps backwards away and doesn’t get pooped on by bosses cleave.
I guess trivially chaining Warden -> Temporal Curtain -> Feedback -> Warden and pressing SoI doesn’t take alot of concentration for me but I guess it is for someone who doesn’t even even know their own cooldowns…
You can keep trying to argue theorycraft but for someone who claims to Fotm alot judging from your comments you don’t seem to LoS and stack very much?
PS: I do tend to overstate auto-attacks alot it’s really what to do for the majority of the time. Even for s/d ele in pvp I think of them as being solely channeling 1 and mashing 2 and then 3 whenever needed but it’s really much more than that.

Water is 20% more deeps. Fresh Air is one lightning strike every ~5s that deals about 4k dmg fully buffed.
But 30 Air vs 20 Air means you help maintain the 5-10 vulnerability stacks, 10% more crit damage, and have 4-5% more crit chance and you take the +10% while in air attune. You still take Vital Striking so you’re really just missing 10% Air Training vs Piercing Shards and the 1% per boon that used to be 2% per?
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
It often surprises me that so few ele’s know how powerful GoEP can be.
ikr. We should start a GoEP fan club or something. I love GoEP for the weakness. Just the constantly maintained and reapplied weakness since it craps on your opponent’s damage and allows you to punish them after they dodge more. And with Fresh Air you can always activate it in air mode whenever you want.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
First of, landing Burning Speed is easy. Afaik in gw2 you can attack while moving so I don’t see how that dimishes your damage output at all. For melee bosses you tend to be constantly moving to stay behind them anyway.
Even considering boss movement, warden has the worse issue of pushing the boss away/ the boss doesn’t stand in it’s full duration. and since it’s spawned location is incredibly random pushing the boss into a wall doesn’t work 100% of the time. Thus for melee bosses I prefer swordsman since they output more damage overall with PH and can be pulled out quicker next to duelist.
Getting tired of quoting, IC and Weapon based phant CDR DO NOT STACK, hence the Guang’s suggested 0/25/0/25/20 if going full phantasm. Base recharge of warden is 25, it can only go as low as 20. Base recharge of iDuelist and iSwordsman are both 20, reduced to 16, which I prefer over warden when optimal since the coinciding recharge soothes the reptilian part of the brain as they are immediately available as soon as weapon cd recharges, unlike having 16/20 with duelist/warden or swordsman/warden.
Mesmer is not easy mode…
Your love for BF even though its subpar damage states otherwise.
And if you are tired of easy mode mesmer you don t play a build that asks you to 1111111 or 3-4 against a wall.
If you wanna play it that way, you’re pretty much using mesmer like a warrior too and completely ignoring the mesmer’s shatter mechanics in favor of gimmickly stacking phantasms, mashing 111111 and 2 when you need to.
As for 11111111 LHing I’m still not entirely convinced forgoing Fresh Air to sit full time in water is better.
Mesmer needs lot of concentration and timing.
because you have to support and dps at the same time.
What profession doesn’t need a abit of field awareness? You admitted yourself that you prefer mesmer for it’s survivability and not needing to move around.

I personally don’t think that’s necessary and am happy with where GoEP except for the fact that you can’t use it as a stun breaker effectively since you’re expected to reapply it constantly.
With scepter 1 spam you can easily maintain 20 stacks with trait and runes already. You’re always gonna be better off using GoEP in Fire so you can re-apply 4 second burns constantly while you’re spamming the bleed or Air for the permanently reapplying weakness so you can survive longer. The only problem with condi ele is covering the bleeds, time spent applying the bleeds, the lack of poison and the ele health pool means you will always lose to other condi users whom ignore protection and weakness.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Some decent changes. Elemental serge should be 50% chance on crit with 15second cool down with base duration 5seconds.
Nuuuuu! That would make Arcane Power TOTALLY useless. Currently ES has no CD and procs every hit for the kittens of Arcane power for an instant 15 second base chill with 2 S/X auto attacks or an extra 25 second base burn with phoenix, RoF and FG and it’s a gimmick I’m particular fond of.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Mesmer sword autoattack removes boons gives vulnerability and do more damage once target is without boons …. (something like 1700-1700-3000)
Not to mention the 10 second Blurred frenzy……(7000)
Oh and you can easily keep your defiant target in place while you kill it (sw3-3), things that ele cannot.
Balls deep into Air 25 you can maintain around 10 stacks of vulnerability passively. Base zerker Lightning Whip crits for 2k+ twice, with an attack rate of 1.15 seconds according to wiki.
Blurred frenzy takes about 3 seconds to complete so it’s pretty much as useful vs mesmer auto as Pistol Whip vs sword auto on thief.
I don’t see how pausing your DPSing to use the immobilize is necessary, please elaborate.
12-13K of a single iwarden excluding bleed and confusion
Phantasms won t die so easily in boss fights as you could think….they are immune to many Attacks also….
I’m familiar with these numbers. Bear in mind it only deals around 8-10 stacks of bleeding but only for 4 seconds and not affected by condi duration so it’s only ~2000 extra and ~400 from confusion. Duelist deals 8-10k with potential for 8 stacks of confusion but less bleed. Warden’s on a 20-25 recharge and Duelist is on 16-20 recharge vs Burning Speed + Ring of Fire that deals ~10-12k together and around 6 seconds burning for an extra ~2400+ damage with 12 recharge since you would take Pyromancer’s Aclarity over Conjurer. You also have Fire Grab at 8k damage at 36 recharge for every third ‘burst’. So yes, even if the mesmer is Sw/F and Sw/P and rotating his phants, as long as the phantasms quickly die after using one skill as they usually do then non-conjure ele is on top, ele is on par if you shatter in time before they die and mesmer is better if phants survive as expected.
No because reflect doesn t cut me out from my skills….oh and if i get downed phantasms doesn t disappear going on an insance CD.
I wasn’t thinking along those lines. It was more of a defiant statement from me. The way things are eles are expected to use conjures as much as mesmers and guardians are expected to reflect.
I was tired of the low dps ele had, changed to mesmer…NEVER complained of mesmer DPS.
I got tired of the ez mode of guardian and mesmer, never got used to ranger sword and got too bored with warrior and necro, found engi too confusing. So I went back to ele.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”

If what your signature says is right you should realise conjure builds don’t swap attunement and have ~85% uptime of LH for 1 minute. And most fights don’t last even 30 seconds. There’s no variety unless you find a wall.
Typical warrior should use 7-10 buttons for weapon skills.
I’m slightly out of date so I had assumed Fresh Air was the superior new thing in town. You have put me in my place.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
But no, I don’t consider getting aegised and projectiley-defended by guardians and mesmers being carried; it’s their obligation to do so for having less DPS.
If only mesmer and guardian had really low dps ………but they just outdps an ele without conjured by a mile.
I don t know without a fgs BUG if an ele can outdps a mesmer in the same situation where you can afford to melee with impunity.
Sauce?
I’m not 100% confident with the numbers but afaik vs mesmer with D/D your Lightning Whip is stronger than mesmer’s sword auto. Your bursts are more or less the same as mesmer’s other skills + mind wrack/phants assuming the phants die after 1-2 skill uses. Mesmers do have it easier in though against bosses with blurred frenzy and more so with sword offhand.
If you chose to abandon conjures then I will also chose to ignore reflect damage
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
How 1111111111111 is more fun than spin2win? I don’t get it.
Cause overall there’s more variation in buttons compared to warrior who are overall even more 111111111111 based.
You have your ele mode button mashing in S/D or D/D,
and then you have your conjures to turn into a super warrior then you have LH 111111 and your own spin2win with FGS.
And even while 1111111111ing, you can at the same time f1 f2 f3 f2 f4 f2 f1 f2 f3 f2 with Fresh Air to spam Air Attunement’s Electric Discharge.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
PvE ele is top-dog dps since mobs don’t dodge.
Not sure what you’re on… but if you’re talking about LH and FG – you do realize conjures pretty much remove the entire class mechanics of an ele (access to 4 elements / 20 skills) at which point you’re far better off playing Guard or War.
Getting downed means no DPS and your conjure is gone :/
I still consider conjures a part of the ele. Sure it breaks the ele mechanics but LH completely turns PvE into ez mode with more blinds than a Guardian as well as:
- LH outputs about the same DPS as a warrior’s axe/mace. And unless you’re trying to solo lupicus it will last you long enough that when it’s down your S/D burst is off CD and after that your LH is back again.
the fact is that you are playing more a copy of a warrior than your ele itself.
Also it won t work in fotm 48+ unless carried by the Group.
Well until Anet gets their act together that’s as optimal as you can get. Hardmode warrior is still more fun than real warriors, as long as DPS is potentially on par I personally don’t mind.
But no, I don’t consider getting aegised and projectiley-defended by guardians and mesmers being carried; it’s their obligation to do so for having less DPS.

- Scepter/Dagger has a better burst than a Hundred Blades. Dragon’s tooth always landing and Phoenix always triple hitting puts you far ahead of professions.
- You still have access to attunes even though you don’t have access to the skills i.e. spam attunes and Air Attune with Fresh Air to squeeze out even more damage.
I typically run 20/30/0/10/10 full zerker. 30/30/0/0/10 full zerker is doable too but unnecessary; you’d only need it for extra might+fury stacking but if you’re in a non-pug you’d have others help with might+fury while pugs aren’t worth the effort since they’re probably slowing you down with PVT/condi etc anyway and won’t appreciate the extra damage where you’d take 30/0/0/20/20 instead and be yelling at pug bearbow rangers/perma staff mesmers/perma rifle warriors etc to come into melee range.

“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”

Ranger’s and Engineer CD reduc don’t have side effect. Warrior CD reduc have conditionnal boni. Half of the Guardian’s and Necro’s CD reduc traits don’t have side effect, and guard’s mace/necro’s scepter can’t get reduce CD at all. Just FYI
A flat +damage in water/earth isn’t that hot. Instead, we could either merge with other traits, or create new side effects. Or just reduce the base CD of skills that deserves it (like focus’ gale…).
That’s cause there never those CDR trait/side effects. Necroes and guards only ever had their +33% condi duration and +10% damage traits as much as the ele only has +endurance while holding scepter trait on ele and +aoe radius on staff. The product of Mesmer and Warrior weapon traits you see today used to be separate traits.
The side effect trait were mostly useless hence the reason they got merged since there was no point to take them anyway, hence by that logic merging the aclarity and the mostly redundant +10% damage traits would be the best way to go. Having weapon-wide CDR on ele would be a tad too strong.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
He’s clearly kidding. It worries me that Anet thought moving a stun-breaker to Signet of Air was a good idea.
At least it makes more sense with the blind active than putting stun break on Glyph of Elemental Power… stun-break on a skill that’s meant to be refreshed on cool-down is stupid.
Side note: I really like GoEP, it can maintain perma-weakness on a target if you always activate it while in Air. Side side note: The effect of GoEP is whatever attunement you were in at the time and doesn’t change when you switch attunements.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
They should just merge the Aclarity traits with the +10% damage while in X attunement traits. All the other proffesion’s weapon damage & effect + CD traits have been merged. I don’t see why it hasn’t for ele.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
WvW/PvP issue. PvE ele is top-dog dps since mobs don’t dodge.
Staff vs Necroes:
Necroes can currently ‘nuke’ infinitely better with their MASSIVE, UNBLOCKABLE, almost INSTANT-CAST, INSTANT EFFECT marks. Eles get what? Massive cast times and after-casts, extremely delayed effects, massive and skills that are split in functionality that put you even more ‘behind’ in the fight while your health whittles down. When playing staff ele you pretty much turn into a PvE Mob for other people to kill.
X/Dagger vs Warriors:
The RtL nerf put eles way behind in mobility compared to warriors. Unlike warriors, however, eles cant deal that much stun. To deal any significant damage requires the landing of Updraft and Earthquake that are both on massive cooldowns. And if by some miracle you somehow manage to land them… oh the opponent just stun-broke… back to indefinitely being in defensive mode and dealing minimal damage.
X/Focus vs Guardians:
Like a guardian you lose alot of mobility. But guards have better reflect, more defensive capability through better reflects, aegis and more damage through retaliation and simply being able to whack people more. They can also chase targets with their double teleport: sword 2 and judges intervention while on the other hand if you somehow start winning as a X/Focus ele, the opponent can simply run away and you won’t ever be able to catch them.
Utility:
Ele’s are pretty much forced to use 2-3 highly defensive utilities from the choice of Arcane Shield, Mist Form or Armor of Earth whereas other professions can get away with only
The ele’s utility department is totally implemented the wrong way. The fact is, even with all our skills we become pigeonholed into one playstyle and the versatility is a complete joke. Gw1 eles were versatile and powerful, Gw2 eles are just crap.
As of now the ele is incredibly predictable and underpowered in every playstyle. At this point I think it’s won’t even be overpowered if the ele gets a weapon swap. Since pretty much only die-hard people are still playing eles I don’t think they’d mind having to juggle between 40 skills anyway.
Weapon swap. Needs to happen. Don’t want eles to be PvE mobs anymore.

Then again this happened again recently while I’m map exploring. I want to kill mobs efficiently so I do not want to have to use sword/horn and greatsword to get around and have to forgo the banner, ’cause world exploration is boring the second time around as well as the rewards are outdated time vs reward wise.

I see people easily farm this boss all day, but meanwhile I had the hardest time beating him on my necromancer (because we don’t have invincibility skills)…. ughhh…..
Yes, there clearly is a balance issue here. For some classes this boss is just way too easy to farm, while for others he is way too difficult in comparison.
Riiiight. You have fear and blinds to stop his OHKO. Death Shroud can also be used to mitigate an OHKO.
Necroes have no problem farming Deadeye either with Zerker gear dagger/dagger, Spectral Grasp and either Wells or Minions. With minions you come out even better than warriors and guardians in farming efficiency since you don’t have to wait for cooldowns.
Just because you fail to see alternative builds doesn’t mean there’s a class balance issue.

The technicians are only hard if you don’t have stability, i.e. as engineer.
Elixir S breaks stun and gives invul, it’s toolkit skill gives you either stealth or stability.
Elixir X give you either the Ele or Warrior elite form which gives stability.
Every class has access to stab except thief who can just stealth past.
Necromancers are expected to be zerker whom by extension are expected to have 30 Soul Reaping and thus can access the 3s stab on Death Shroud trait and stab from Plague or Lich.
Every prof can run through mobs if you’re trying hard enough.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Pugging just got worse.
It’s likely since before we had PuGs who dedicated themselves toward a dungeon so you can expect at least some of them to know it.
Now on the other-hand you have baddies flocking to Arah expecting easy money. It’s impossible to get p1 done under 1hr since there’s always someone who doesn’t know how to run past first pack of mobs AND you have to spend time at every event to explain things to them. And on one occasion on p3 after pulling Crusher out all by himself, the warrior holding predator and mesmer holding bifrost of course didn’t want to melee so they ate shockwaves and died without even immobilize for an excuse.
So for now I’m content to just farm gauntlet until the pugs get better/the baddies who don’t want to learn drop away
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Based on my observations it takes about 6 months for pugs to catch up with the meta. Whatever people say here will be valid next year.
Do you think there will be a ranger meta where most pug groups are bringing sword rangers with frost spirit even if the devs don’t make any balance changes to the sword leap-lock and spirit and pet survivability?
Probably not… Sword ranger auto hurts my brains so I’d assume most pugs would ignore it.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
They will probably make some changes as it comes to the GW2 anniversary but after that I’d expect dungeons to be ignored again as it has been for the past 7 months.
“GW2’s PvE is almost as bad as the PvP.”
Feel free to correct me but as I recall:
In the beginning: 20 base token + 10 bonus daily tokens. Bosses gave some tokens, only end AC bosses dropped silver.
Soon after release: Removed token gain from bosses due to first boss farming + easy arah tokens from crusher/hunter p3 farming. Nerf of the jumping exploit to the Nightmare Tree in TA from right at the start.
Sometime after: Buffed daily bonus to 40. Introduced the broken DR that affected many people.
Then: Fixed the DR which had two rules and penalised you with half the dungeon rewards if you broke them: Firstly, Path dependant DR on running the same path with any character within 2 hours. Secondly, if you ran more than ANY 4 paths on ANY character within 2 hours, DR kicked in.
Karka update: Added Wonderous Bags i.e. silver and token drop on bosses, reintroduced arah bag farm and the birth of CoF1 farming.
December- Jan: All jumping exploits in CM nerfed, HotW 3in1 nerfed, Arah bag farm nerfed.
Jan – Feb: DR toned down, CoE 3in1 shortly nerfed after, the rework of AC. i.e nerfed everything except for CoF p1. Dev openly stated they did not want to nerf Cof p1 for some odd reason.
- various minor changes -
Now: Removed silver drop from bosses, etc.
Alot has changed in almost a year but overall not alot has changed. Couldn’t they have just made this change back in November Karka update instead of ever bringing in Wonderous Bags? After a year I’d expect dungeon rewards to have been finally balanced yet it still needs major tweaking… Given the inflation due to CoF 1 farming, the gold rewards are such a joke!

lol
While I do agree about the token nerf, it’s hard to get dungeon vendor items now. I don’t agree with you just sticking to Mesmer or Warrior. They’ve given dungeons a more casual route now, sorta like dailies. It doesn’t matter what class you bring, the reward is accountbound.
That’s an interesting thought.
As much as I love that CoF p1 is nerfed (8 months too late at that…). It’s quite the opposite for me. I don’t see why I should play dungeon with my ranger at all any more since I could just save time by sticking to warrior/mes/guardian? If anything it just turns me off. The message I’m getting is ‘Do your easy paths and gfto’.
Right before the update I was farming Arah p3 so I could have yet another arah set. Now I’d just stick to doing p1, 2 and 3 and sure I could still play around with my alts between guardian, mesmer, warrior, thief or ele. But I just don’t think my ranger or necro will ever see Lupicus again since using them will just put a drag on the clear time whereas they saw use for farming before.

They were probably running it off purely by statistics. Given the number of people who exploited HotW 3in1 a year ago and CoE 3in1, it probably skewed the data heavily and thus we see this dilemma?

Rangers actually have the best damage when supplied with a Lightning Hammer since their goes up to – more or less – the standard auto-attack damage (with full zerker that’s 1.5-2k, 1.5-2k, 4-5k on third hit), ON TOP of the damage the pet’s doing.
My warrior hits harder than that with a lightning hammer >.>

I had 0/0/10/30/30 cos I was playing with spirits :<

If we assume that boss gets “only” 5 Defiant stacks you need 6 interrupts every 3.5 seconds.
Most bosses only have 5 defiant stacks, can’t remember the ones that don’t.
Hmm if we consider 2 warriors we could still have almost perma-stun since skull crack’s recharge is 7.75s and 3.45 seconds duration with rune of para. You could even consider it as 4 seconds between 8 seconds since most bosses have cast times longer than 0.5 seconds so they would get interrupted anyway if you space it right. The other three members can be sword/pistol and thieves that use 3 pistol whips and 2 headshots to clear defiant stacks every 3.45 seconds, cycling the non-headshooter and having warriors help with pommel bash to replace a headshot when they can. Then when the boss goes below 33% they can spam heartseekers and play as normal. Alternatively you can have s/d and s/p thieves for a 3 CnD -> flanking sword sneak daze attack into 2 pistol whips, then 3 pistol whips into 2 headshots, then 3 pistol whips into 2 CnD -> flanking sword sneak daze attack cycle. With the stealth return 2 initiatives trait the CnD into sword sneak attack lets you squeeze more damage for 4 initiative compared to a headshot.
DPS-wise, wouldn’t it kind of equalize since you don’t have to spend any time dodging? Bear in mind the warriors have free reign in between their own skullcrackers. Trait-wise and utility-wise you could be awhole lot more offensive too. The thieves would be using either full signet build or 2 signets with 1 blind powder each if going stealth method for more damage efficient CCs.

Has anyone tried?
Ideally it only requires 3 warriors to perma-chain Skull Crack and some coordination to CC down the defiance stacks in between.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to have 100% crit chance with a VALKYRIE SET and (maybe) pump more damage than zerker can with Sharpening Stones when a +10% potion against a certain boss doesn’t exist? Plus you only have to take weapons slotted with sigils of superior impact instead of many vs mob types.

It’s obviously DR. What path were you running? CoF1?
The simple way to avoid it is to run the other paths of the dungeon before repeating that path on an alt. This is why the more experienced farm groups do CoF1&2 and change alts to avoid DR completely.
DR works differently than it did before, the old DR rules penalized you for running more than 4 paths in 2 hrs and if you ran the same path within 2 hrs. Whatever the new rules are it’s seriously much more generous than it was.

I’ve extensively investigated ways to troll the CoE p2 golems, any blowout/pull/knock backs will cause the golems to explode on your teammates at the end of the knock.
Banish golfing with hammer for guardian is the funnest way while temporal curtain pull is pretty much 100% accuracy. Necroes have the most elaborate technique with deathly grasp into death shroud.

In AUS the daily reset occurs 10am if you are in a state without daylight saving or 11am with daylight saving (reverts to 10am when daylight saving ends).
The daily bonus is not account wide but character wide so you CAN repeat the same path during the same day. The base reward is 20 and the daily bonus grants an extra 40 = the 60 you can expect. Repeating the same path with the same character in one day will give you only the 20 base tokens but the silver and karma rewards are unaffected.
However, diminishing returns can occur if you complete the path again too quickly (time unknown since the DR alleviation patch) and this kicks in regardless of daily bonus and halves your rewards – silver and karma included – for each tier of DR hence you receive the 30.
Look at the silver/karma and you should be able to distinguish whether you were hit by DR.

From a scale of 1 to BAN where does CoE 3in1 lie? All you really accomplish there is cutting out the non-sense, zero reward encounters and you still have to do the rest as you would normally (unless you are stupid enough to skip the easy hacking event/Bjarl which give precious CoE chests).
What I’m really confused about is how most dungeon exploits still don’t produce nearly as much wealth as CoF1 farm which is considered legit. The economic effect of CoE 3in1 abuse I’d wager is also alot smaller than the inflating effect of the mindless everyone-runs-it CoF1 that’s considered legit since CoE significantly requires more skill to complete yet the wealth output is still around the same even with abusing skips in CoE 3in1.
MAIN POINT OF POST: Before you fix CoE 3in1 please consider adding loot to the first Alpha encounter and a chest to the lazer puzzle and have already reworked CoF1. But until you make trash mobs worth killing, people will continue to stealth through mobs, blink through walls and

I don’t believe it’s a bug, it’s just a poorly designed system.
Tagging in dungeons and tagging in the open world use different mechanics. To tag something in dungeons you have to have hit that foe within ~10 seconds before it died (approximation based on many deaths while doing extensive Crusher/Hunter farming). In the open world, tagging is damage dependant with a threshold for event completion and a higher threshold for loot. (Why it isn’t the other way round to prevent Tag-and-Run is beyond me.)
The most common scenarios of getting screwed by the dungeon tagging mechanics occasionally observed in PuGs are:
- AC3 Collossus Rumbulus – (it’s pretty funny and sad at the same time when you see it) getting downed by the RNG boulders and defeated by the following death scream at the last moments.
- CoE3 Destroyer boss – if people chicken out a lazer run beforehand and leave him with so little health that the finishing blows as you run down the ramps for the last time aren’t dealt by all party members, leaving what the game considers ‘non-participants’ lootless.
- Giganticus Lupicus – the guardian that’s being kiting him the whole time makes a technical error at the last moments and gets no loot.

The problem is doing it with an asura, then a charr, then a norn when you’re farming CoE 231 three times a day.
