I’m still a little new to fractals and was wondering if there is a big price difference with buying the ascended chests from the vendors vs crafting them. Or is it just an alternate way with little to no difference in price?

I don’t consider myself to be the WORST pvper. But what isn’t fair is me waiting 10 minutes or so for a Q against a trio Q and a duo. Especially when they are all decent players against… people ive never heard of. Wouldn’t putting the duo on my team make it more balanced? Let’s put an E Dream Trio with Nos and Kenya… makes sense against these randoms.

Apparently Anet has a 50% win rate thing that they try to keep people at. Well I’m getting tired of it.. I’m 11 pips from legendary and have been for past 2 days. Literally my last 10 matches I’ve been stuck in same place.. win one lose one.

Why do you put a trio and a duo on the same team against full pugs when you could have put one of those on the other team? Wouldn’t that make it a little more fair? I’m getting tired of this. So close to legendary and yet it’s like I gain a pip then lose a pip.

Probably because it’s easy to reply to one comment multiple times without having to scroll through 20 pages of things.

It should be like Guild Wars 1 with PvE and PvP versions of skills. BUT FOR SOME REASON everything in Guild Wars 2 just HAD to be different from GW1.

As an Engi player.. keybinds were a must. My 6-0 are completely changed as well as F1-F5

What exactly does an Amber play like? I could have all the experience in the world, but just haven’t played the game since release of leagues. Are ambers supposed to be bad? All it means is that they haven’t played leagues too much.

The ONLY time personal score matters is when it’s a tie game. If I completely didn’t care about the team and only decapped points and left everyone in a 4v5 situation and had 100 points more than you guys does that mean I was the best on the team?

Darkadonis’ account name is Hugh.1893 which is also Nightmare(Dev Hugh) so he was playing with them as well. Also, what I don’t understand is how you get paired against a 5Q (3 being in Proleague) and obviously Hman isn’t the worst player, get 490 points against that AND still lose a Pip.

You do say that there still may be some things changing in the meta, but do you guys have an idea of what kind of team you are running? And what classes do you need most?

You do realize they waited an hour in Q. Not for all those matches, but I was watching the stream last night and they had an hour Q. Should they wait forever? Or should they atleast get one match in when there is no one near their division or should they continue to wait until more diamond people log on in like 3-4 hours? I don’t think it’s fair to pair them against pugs or casual teams, but you can’t help that the community isn’t nearly as big as ANet wants it to be. Here’s how I see it:

-They wait an hour in Q and get a match and most likely have to wait a pretty long time in Q again after that match

-You wait 2 minutes in Q, get destroyed by them and then get another Q after the match in about 2-3 minutes. Can’t really complain when you are getting 2-3 more matches than they are.

In b4 this gets deleted. Anything against ANet will be deleted soon enough.. whether it’s true or not. They don’t want people buying the game to realize how crap the PvP scene is atm considering they are TRYING to be esports.

They can’t add a solo Q because they know everyone would go and solo Q.. so I think their logic is this…Made all the Solo Qer’s frustrated to the point where they want to quit the game or work forever to try and find 4 others that have their same schedule and skill level to play a game that doesn’t give out rewards worth the time of finding the people to make a team with.

At the end of the “Into the Labyrinth” instance, once you defeat the champion and the cinematic procs your character gets teleported into the wall and isn’t able to get out. Finished the whole thing with still 10 minutes left (twice) and couldn’t get unstuck, so I couldn’t finish the instance and couldn’t get the “Labyrinth Runner” achievement.

That happened to me but I was able to do /stuck and get out.

Must have been bugged recently.. because I did it yesterday.

I know I’m way behind (Mostly PvP) but anyways… I’m sitting here doing to the Meeting the Asura challenge mode, and at the last boss.. I killed Vorp and nothing has happened.. it doesn’t say free the Sylvari. It’s just frozen.. has anyone else experienced this?

To Everyone and Devs:
Just curious, can anyone explain to why staff#5 on revenant (Surge of The Mist) have a 1s evade on it ? It has 1s of channeling and 1s of evade, that 1s of evade guarantees you let the skill off and it can’t be “INTERRUPT”. Very healthy for the game.

Because without it, Rev wouldnt be quite so OP.

2 blocks that heal, evade on staff, evade and damage on sword, glint heal, huge boon uptime, heal on staff, shadowstep as long you have energy.

And people will tell you L2P. LOL

Let’s not forget how Unrelenting Assault travels through portals with the mesmer you are attacking.. so much for getting away.

So I heard that Necromancer(Reaper) will definitely be used in raids thanks to Gravedigger. I don’t really play necro due to being in Speedclear guilds, but they are saying that once the boss hits 50% necros will have some of the highest dps. What do you guys think about this?

Willing to learn new tactics than what I already know
Like to have fun but not at the cost of being inefficient.
I have mainly PvP’d since release although I was in a speedrun guild for quite some time, never learned Fractals though.
I do have full ascended zerk gear ( working on getting ascended sinister gear as well )
I have Predator and Ascended Pistols and Shield.

What I’m looking for:

Now although I have been in a Speedrun guild, the speedruns were only on Dungeons.
It has been quite a few months since I even stepped foot in a dungeon ( I mainly PvP ) so I am looking for a Pro guild that will help build me back up to Speedrun potential, not only in dungeons but Fractals and hopefully Raids when HoT is released. I know most Speed guilds don’t enjoy helping others learn and usually expect them to know when they get in the guild, but I believe I would be a good investment of your time.

The scrapper’s elite utility provides a pulsing cloak field around it veiling you and your allies from enemies. The gyro itself remains visible.

Will it follow you around? Or stay where it’s deployed? Because if the gyro remains visible and you are stealthed… the enemies could just follow the gyro and know where you’re at? But since it doesn’t say it follows you, I’m just going to assume it doesn’t.

I try so hard to not quit this game..
I have over 3.5k hours just in PvP ( over 4.2k Tourneys played and 2.6k won)
I’ve done PvE ( as much as I can do.. bleh)
WvW is just not it..
PvP is the only thing that brings me to this game.. but every time I log in, I’m reminded why I want to quit.
No team ( no one wants me/ everyone already has a team)
I literally log on, go into SOLO Q( sorry they took that away for SOME REASON).. I mean.. I solo into an unranked or ranked depending on how I feel and I either get put against a premade or most people are solo and I still lose ( lost like 6 games in a row tonight)
The only thing keeping me coming back is the combat system..which honestly is the BEST part of this game. But I mean.. I can only enjoy a combat system so much when you have to Q by yourself all night.

I’m sure I’ll get some troll comments ( don’t care )
Btw.. can’t post in “Looking For…” forum because it gets flooded with WvW and Roleplaying Guild posts.

All I want is some friends around my skill level to PvP with ( ON VOIP).. I used to have such close friendships in PvP and everyone has went off to join other teams and blah blah esports.

10k Hotjoin wins is not an accomplishment.. anyone these days can just hop on the winning team and take the free ride to 10k wins.

No. If there was no announcement yesterday then there won’t be. They are taking a break, I’d expect it to be a lot more than just 1 or 2 weeks. Maybe a month.

We know 5 specs have been announced:
Chronomancer
Dragonhunter
Reaper
Druid
Tempest

It’s because of the turret engi nerf…. Now they need something else to press 1-2 buttons to win. (Not including mesmer)

In b4 people tell you to go to unranked where there are also premades.

I log in, then sit there and wonder why I logged on in the first place.. Then go play Smite lol… If I have an immediate invite when I log in, then I may Q for an hour or two.

Considering they said “I never joined a game that already started”, I’m assuming they are referring to hotjoins. In a hotjoin setting, if someone leaves, they will not be replaced. Either it’s someone who felt like joining your team or the other team has too many players and then they get put onto your team either by force or by someone volunteering.

I’m sure you weren’t talking about tournaments but let’s say this did happen in a tournament setting… you will be 4v5 for the rest of the game. Sorry.. that’s how the system works.

Engineer is my main class.. and I can tell you that Engineer excels in every part of the game. Engineer has GREAT DPS as well as team support in dungeons/speed clears. Probably one of the most annoying things to fight against in PvP ( QQ Nerf Engi) and in WvW it is semi-decent in zergs (for now,until mortar becomes a kit) and is great at roaming. They did say that Engineer specialization will shake up PvP, if you’re into PvP. Most people see engineer as a great class for pug groups.. but I have ran with some hardcore dungeon guilds and there is an engi in most groups. Hope that answers your question. On a side-note, I do believe engineer is in the top 4 as far as dps goes? I believe it may be Staff Ele, Thief, LH ele and then Engineer?

Most likely… you know how they love to move at a glacial pace. I mean.. I wouldn’t mind waiting another month or 2 at the most.. just as long as it’s done correctly.

Now if you’re asking… if continuous swapping will = dishonor? I’m not too sure on that..

I usually don’t complain about turrets because I know some people have to use them because they can’t play any other build and be effective, but I honestly am getting tired of fighting them when I solo Q (which is all I do basically)… Literally just got done fighting a team with 2 of them + spirit ranger… the players individually were not that good and you could tell. It is a little ridiculous though that a build that requires little to no skill (to be effective) gets so much reward( from a solo Q perspective.) This isn’t a ranked vs unranked thing either, because they are abundant in both Q’s, so you’re not safe in either Q from them.

I’m honestly surprised you are not in a team atm. Figured someone would want to pick you up.

What keeps you guys playing this game?

-Is it the combat system?
-Is it the PvP?
-Is it the constant facing premades?
-Is it the remarkable leaderboard system?

I keep playing this game because I can’t find anything else to play.
I usually only play the game for about 1 -2 hours a night until I get tired of facing full premades, trio Qs and 4 Qs in Ranked/Unranked.

Please reply with your honest answer… I’m interested to see what keeps the lovely GW2 PvPers playing this game.
