Out of nothing more than curiosity and get discussion back rolling…what would you personally “as a player/fan” like to see as a scenario. Given the whole the GW lore and history to pluck from?
For eg, I’d love something similar to the Ascalon fight, but with Ebonhawke and Kralk flying overhead branding half the area and you as soldiers fighting off branded so people could escape. That would be iconic!

From a personal standpoint I would like to be part of the story surrounding Rylock’s Origin, specifically in which Rytlock whilst on a mission clashes with his Warband’s legionairre.

What are your visible (complete and incomplete) story objectives? That response is used if you haven’t picked a plan yet, once you choose whose plan to go along with, his conversation changes to one that allows you to complete that step.

As this topic has turned away from a discussion and more into personal digs, we are going to close it. Please be sure you’re following the Forum Code of Conduct when discussing Guild Wars 2.
Hi. I talked with our team about this, and while agents are able to pull this information, it can take a lot of time and generally is not a good use of their time. This is because what agents generally find is that the balance changed because someone paid fees that s/he forgot, or that the player forgot about a recent acquisition that accounts for the “missing money.” There is a 10% tax fee in the TP and a 5% non-refundable listing fee, as well. When the figures are gathered and calculated, the “missing money” is found to be accounted for in those fees.
If someone is hacked, they’re generally going to lose all their gold. There’s no known issue with accounting in the game, and if there were such an issue I believe we’d definitely know about it! Therefore, these individual issues usually can be resolved by the player considering his or her recent activities and calculating purchases, sales, and fees. We’d appreciate if players would do this before contacting Support, since taking the time to do this research for individual players means that other players must wait for other essential services, such as the resolution of a hacking incident, an account restoration, or the return of game access to someone who isn’t able to log in, etc.

I’ve been trying to avoid the question for a while now, trying my hardest to contribute to this CDI as much as the time lets me, while trying to push this question to the back of my mind. It never seem to be a good time to ask it, but then again I don’t think it’ll ever be a good time to. But you once said that you will give your opinion on fractal reset after you gave it some thoughts. I was wondering if you got anything for us. Will we ever be compensated for levels we lost and those over multiple toons? Just stating if it’s not even a viable thing for discussion anymore would suffice.
I am pretty sure Izzy responded to this question a few months ago. I will check with him.

Could you guys seriously stop this daydreaming? There won’t be perfectly challenging and fun content with unique surprises each time you run it.
This thread would be about 10 pages shorter if people thought, “is this proposal remotely possible considering development resources available?” before they hit Reply.
I too find this frustrating, but at the same time, I have an engineering background and am able to make rough estimates of the implementation effort.
I assume that a lot of people here are just fans of the game, not coders/artists/etc, and don’t understand that they’re asking for things that would take a 10-person team months and months to complete. Or more.
The most egregious requests, if anybody is wondering, center around user-generated content/sandbox features. That is way way out of scope. Full randomly-generated content is also likely out of scope, not necessarily due to coding, but due to QA/testing.
Now, all that said, that doesn’t mean that the devs won’t find some bit of inspiration in these ideas and use a scaled down, heavily modified version. So have fun, everybody.
Agreed. It is completely valid for the CDI to brainstorm, discuss and dream about things that they would like to see in the game as this could easily lead to more realistic ideation around a feature etc.

We’re still experiencing an issue with verifying completion. We ARE going to get a reply out to you, no worries. =) We have not sent gifts out this week while we work on determining who is and is not affected by the bug – and who simply needs to go back and finish map complete.
If anyone reading this completed after the March 4 live build (approx 9am PDT) and did not get gifts would you please reply here with the character name affected?
For everyone who landed the achievement and did not get gifts, remember that the achievement is account-wide and does not guarantee that a specific character has 100% (thus earning Gifts).

I’ve been seeing a lot of threads pop up with varying feedback about this skill. I’d appreciate it if you guys could toss some feedback in this thread about the skill, and try to be as concise as possible.
Also, try to answer these questions:
- Do you main Thief?
- When do you feel that Pistol Whip is unbalanced? (scenarios would be great)
- How does it feel unbalanced compared to other class mechanics?
- What would you do to change Pistol Whip to better fit the class/game?
Additionally, if you feel Pistol Whip is exactly what it needs to be, I would like you to say so in this thread.
This thread is for me personally so I can properly communicate to the designers how you guys feel about it.

Doubtful as any Anet dev that plays the game can always get into the main server so it doesn’t really affect them does it.
Actually, when we’re playing the game, our accounts are just like everyone else’s accounts. We do not have easy access at all. I’ve played this content in numerous overflows. Many of us aren’t flagged, but we are out there playing with you.
FYI, we don’t think it’s balanced. That’s why we’re still balancing it.
The OP actually makes a good point, though. For this particular feature build, we have not shared much about what’s going on, we get that. Don’t mistake that with we’re not doing much, though.

Nice post, but what about full-fledged three point play with small skirmishing builds like in the old days? It seems many have drifted away from this as a viable strategy but as ApeX has shown the last month, is not the case.

As this thread has drifted far off topic and run its course, it is now closed.
But, the reason for it not being implemented is because it has not been tested? If I am wrong in my understanding please feel free to recalibrate my logic.
Crytal Reid stated that “the code changes were too risky to get checked in and tested properly” which means that the fix has already been implemented (most likely “locally” in a programmers development environment), but it has not been integrated in the code of the live production servers (“checked in” for the new build of today) since it has not been tested thoroughly.
Changes to a software system always bear the risk of creating unforeseen problems in other (and seemingly unrelated) components of the system. Hence, if ANet didn’t have the time to test the fix properly, then they are doing the right thing in pushing the changes back to the next release build.
