Your thread title is fine. And thanks for that feedback. We can work on our messaging; it’s something we’ve been fine-tuning for a while since we started overhauling the system. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for the summary post, however, I did not see anything in there pertaining to WvWvW. We still have the problem of them dieing way to fast in zerg vs zerg. And we also have the large issue of us loosing 30% of our damage when defending or taking a keep/fort because pet’s will not scale up or down the walls. This includes the birds which will not fly up or down the wall to attack the targets. The only way I can see to combat this would be to have pets like all over class mechanics, an addition to our damage, not taking away from our damage. For instance, warriors get to do 100% of their damage and if they have full adrenaline they do an extra 15% damage. Ranger should be set up the same way with pets. Ranger’s should have 100% control of their damage and the pet, while alive, should be able to deal an extra 15% damage. If the pet is dead then it deals no extra damage like warriors with no adrenaline will deal no extra damage. We will still have the problem of the pets not being able to hit a moving target but at least the ranger will no longer have this handicap on them.

That’s because most of the suggestions I saw regarding WvW were either labeled PvX or WvW/PvE so I just put it under PvX.
I have asked about this and the team is investigating the possibility this is a bug. I don’t know any more at this time.

This thread is from last fall — six months ago — so I’m surprised to see it again today.
Mirah — your account was reinstated, as you said. The reason for the block was not in any way associated with the hotkey utility you mentioned.
So, it looks like some of you have already pointed out that not all the feedback was added to that summary.

No More Tricks, Scarlet
- This achievement requires a good deal of skill and awareness, make sure you are watching for the red telegraphs that show where the Holograms will fire next and make sure you do not run through any active scorch marks during the fight, good luck!
The main problem with this achievement, afaik, is that sometimes you’re ported to Breachmaker when the fight is already ongoing, and instantly die due to spawning on “scorch mark”, so achievement fails from the very beginning.
That was another think I meant to mention, thank you for reminding me, Nighthawk. The Assault knights were intended to be a fight that players had to split up and fight at the same time, it is one of the issues we are currently looking at. The Scarlet Holo fight begins 5 minutes after the first Knight’s death; originally, this was not an issue because a map divided into groups of three would take down the Knights within 5 minutes of each other. However, with recent player tactic changes, the first Knight is dying as much as 10 minutes before players get up to the Breachmaker, meaning that you will portal up into an active fight, possibly die before you load in, and you can lose time on the Scarlet Holo Fight timer. We are working on ways to make sure that players will have much less risk to portal up to an in progress fight.
For the time being, I encourage you to encourage your fellow players to wait to kill the first Knight until a time where the other two Knights are closer to death. If you can get the Prime attunement in under 5 minutes from the first Assault Knight’s death, you will portal up to a grace period and you will have some time to load in and prepare yourself before the Prime Hologram begins her onslaught. Again, it is an issue we are aware of and should improve with the Assault Knight fixes.

I’ve seen the many posts on both this forum and the Game Bugs forum reporting issues with the Assault Knights and I’d like to take a few minutes to respond to you all. We are certainly not ignoring the forums, the lack of red posts is because I have been running around trying to get the issues you report fixed as quickly as possible and I have not always had the time to follow up on your threads and let you know!
In regards to the Assault Knights, we are currently working on issues with:
I do not have an ETA on the fixes, but be assured, they are of top priority. More details on exactly what was changed will be in the patch notes of the future hotfix when we release the fixes for both issues.
I would also like to touch base on the Achievements for the Battle for Lion’s Arch Release, in particular:

I suggest you simply uninstall the game and move on.

1: The primary purpose of the CDI is for the team to read your proposals, discussions and suggestions.
2: This allows us to then evaluate our end, discuss and then give our thoughts back to the group.
3: This particular topic is very big and thus there is a lot for us to discuss internally.
4: We will get back as often as we can with a summary of our thoughts. This said point 1 is still super valuable in of itself.
5: Finally the Devs are part of the CDI, fellow group members. Therefore we don’t want to pay lip service by commenting on posts that are not worthwhile to do so, in some beleaguered attempt at some kind of marketing exercise.
6: Thus please don’t expect a deluge of red posts especially on such a big thread.Finally thank you for spending your time to contribute to the discussion and ultimately make GW2 the very best game it can be.

You have not been receiving automatic responses. Every response has come from an agent (other than the first automatic “We got your ticket” response.) You have submitted four tickets about this matter, and each time an agent has given you an answer and has explained the policy related to your request. If they use similar phrasing, that’s to be expected, as they are explaining policy and responding to multiple tickets related to the same request.
An agent will review this because I noted you added a new element to your request that I want to have looked at, but be assured that each answer is from a human being, and is chosen with care.

That’s not what that post says at all. People are piling claims of botting and griefing on the AFKers and the response is, “If you think it violates the CoC, report them and let ANet make the call.” It is not confirming nor denying a stance by ANet on AFKing.

In regard to topics I would like to see (if that’s ok):
- Continued discussion about lore in fractals.
- Suggested scenarios (boss, encounter and level design) based on current mechanics and systems in fractals.Chris
I have put a lot of thought in creating combat scenarios that require more of the way we build our characters. I’ve linked to these scenarios in the past, but I’ll adjust them now for fractals and post them here in batches. (While also spicing up the lore) These are not full fractals, just encounters with a lot of focus on strategy.
Here are the first few:
The arena of Orr
Background setting: We are gladiators in the prosperous Orr of the past.
The orrian king is a cruel tirant as well as a skilled magician, we have to fight our way out of the arena to eventually slay the tyrant.
The encounter:
The arena is a circle with poisoned spikes as a wall. The monsters in it use pushback skills or explosions to try and land players into the spikes, while the players must try to do the same to the monsters. These monsters try to stay well clear of the spikes and frequently return to the middle of the room. Some of them have stability that can be removed, which they’ll regain as their stability skill recharges.
Players will take damage from both the monsters and the spikes, but the monsters only take damage while they are poisoned by the spikes and they lose a lot of health from landing in the spikes. This would make it possible for teams with a lot of pushes to take out the monsters quicker than a team which only has a few. Although both will be able to kill the monsters eventually.
For professions without cc, they can make use of some of the weapons that can be found in the prison chambers that the fractal starts out in. These are not meant to deal much damage, but fairly good at pushing foes around.
Strategies pushed in this encounter: stability, push/pull and boon removal.
Three titans and the Door of Komalie
Background setting: The gateway between Tyria and the Realm of Torment before the mursaat came in.
We see Komalie fighting demons in the Realm of Torment. She’s been at it for ages to keep the demons from building up an army of Titans at their foundry of failed creations. This time the Titans are too strong however, and she is forced to get back to Tyria. Three titans follow her into Tyria before she manages to close the door. They take her life and it is up to us to take them down.
The encounter:
Three mighty Titans are capable of blasting everyone to bits with a massive spell. However, the casting of the spell is a delicate ritual on its own and interrupting it is a very doable task. The titans are tough and it some time to bring one down. They’ll try to complete their grand spell very often, but any interrupt works. Once it is unleashed, no dodge will save you, only invulnerability might… for whatever the duration. The animation of the spell is a really obvious symbol forming above their ‘heads’.
A fallen Titan will spawn smaller titans that will try to bash your skull in while the team tries to keep the bigger Titans from ever delivering one massive spell. There is a fair amount of AoE, so stacking up to get the Titans together is rather risky.
Strategies pushed in this encounter: all interrupts.
Among the ranks of the stone dwarves
Background setting: Between the rise of Primordius’ first minion and present day, the stone dwarves have been fighting destroyers. We join them in battle.
The encounter:
Both the dwarves and destroyers are very powerful NPC’s. This encounter would be all about supporting the stone army. Due to the sheer number of npcs and the strength of them, our own damage output pales in comparison. The support we can grant through area weakness, poison (to counter the destroyers healing), protection, retaliation, chill, reflects, stability, aegis, combo fields, might, and banners etc. are great though.
The players would have to move carefully, because the destroyers can take you out quite easily. More importantly, the NPC’s will try to ressurect you, lowering their arms.It would be a battle that is so balanced that it takes quite a bit of time before it’s done but it would inevitably end in a loss if it weren’t for the players presence.
Strategies pushed in this encounter: support skills of all sorts.

Looks like this got resolved yesterday.
I’d like to suggest that you get in touch with Customer Support again, if it truly has been three months since you contacted them. Sometimes, we find that periodic changes in the billing parameters successfully allow someone to make a purchase who previously was unable to do so.
Also, did they recommend purchasing pre-paid gem cards from a retailer? I’m pretty sure you can purchase those on-line through a retailer, get them sent to you (or the code relayed to you, I’m not sure how they work), and then you’ll be able to use those pre-paid cards to make Gem Store purchases.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience and hope you soon get that “asparagus golem.”

The serial code is very rarely required to obtain help. It may come into play if two people claim and account and both have identical information. At that point, the serial code can be critical. But for 99.9% of all support issues, you can leave that field blank, provide the other information you’re able to provide, and the team will be able to help you.
Not true. Unless they’ve changed their policy…
I had to fight with your team to retrieve my password after it had asked me for my serial code. When i finally got access, I asked if I could get my serial code for future incidents and i had to run around the bush with them until I got it.
But it is true, I assure you! Those who are not able to provide the serial code can be helped by providing other information. Right now, resetting a password through one means asks for the serial code, but having a serial code really is seldom required and there are other ways to reset the password, specifically contacting Support.
Of course, in cases of an account compromise, shared accounts, or in instances when an account goes into disputed ownership, having the code can be essential, as I said. But for normal cases, it is seldom required.
Bug Fixes:
• Fixed a server crash.
• All overflow maps that begin up to 10 minutes after the hour will run their own version of the Battle for Lion’s Arch event.
• Fixed the description on the Assault Knight Power Cores to correctly reference Crystalline Dust instead of Incandescent Dust.
