Bra (80 Guard), Fixie Bow (80 Ranger), Wcharr (80 Ele)
Xdragonshadowninjax (80 Thief)
This is definitely on our radar and we’ve talked about it multiple times. This would also useful for spectators to get an overview of match stats per team.
Why don’t we get WXP for capping/defending these.
It’s far too easy to flip them just to farm WXP. One thing that is coming soon is an addition of WXP consumables to the player loot bags, which should make a pretty big addition to the amount of WXP you get from being in the area, assuming you are killing players. As to adding it to the general capping of the points, we’ll have to consider that pretty carefully before we make any changes.
Go to your browsers settings. You can log in here and it is the same password. in the settings or history you can find the password.
If that doesnt help then :
1: click ‘support’ on top of this page
2: ‘ask a question’Try to answer as many questions as you can and support will help you get back in.
This is correct. I would choose “Log-in Issues” in the drop-down menu as the reason for your ticket. The team will help you, but will need to verify your ownership of the account, so please provide as much information as you can in the initial form.
You are welcome to submit a ticket if you would like an agent to look at the history, but you can do that as well, right? Have you checked your IP history to see if an unknown IP logged into your account?
You need to continue to work with Support; there’s nothing we can do about this through the forums. Game logs are enormous. That is why the team is asking you to narrow down the time period in which you had the mail. To do otherwise is to dedicate a support agent to hours and hours of log-reviews, and I’m sure you can appreciate that that is not a reasonable proposition. Too, many times when the research is conducted, the team finds that the player was mistaken and that he did not have the item, or that he had another item, or it was on another account, or he forgot he sent it to a friend or sold it on the Trading Post, or something of that nature.
So please forgive the repeated requests for a time period, but otherwise, looking for this mail is like “looking for a needle in a haystack” and crawling through potentially months of game logs for the account is not a practical means of research.
Thank you for understanding.
So there isn’t any confirmation button for a fairly expensive item like this?
Some things become so instinctive you don’t remember how they work. I don’t think there is a confirmation for the use of dyes, no, but rather that they have a double-click-to-use functionality.
I believe it would be nearly impossible to set a bar for the “expensive” dyes and require confirmation, because the value of the dyes rises and falls (and the determination of what should be in that category is pretty subjective). Developing a way to require confirmation for a certain type of dye, and then leave the “common” dyes without a confirmation, seems a challenging design task. The alternative is that each and every dye would require a double click and then a confirmation, and that seems undesirable.

Hi RyanFL – I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but if your connection is interrupted such as by a loss of power or loss of internet connection, unfortunately the client will start over from the beginning. If this is a regular occurrence, I can only suggest downloading the client little by little and what I mean by this is closing the client out periodically during the installation. When you open the client back up, it should pick right back up where it left off. Either this, or I’d recommend installation from a different location or copying a fully patched client over from a friend or a relative.
Sorry you had to deal with that, I know it’s not fun to start a hefty install over from the beginning
Thanks for the reports, folks. Fortunately, the repro is about as simple as it gets. We’ll get a fix out just as soon as we can.
Wow, HUGE congratulations to you all!
I commemorated the event here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151736246969209&set=a.135044094208.103264.114036714208&type=1
Huge Congrats BG! Well Done!
Sorry about that- it was accidentally broken when we were working on some other things. We should have this fixed soon.
Sorry bout that, we’ve got a fix for this.
Will be fixed in an upcoming build.
It is explained a couple lines later:
There is an upcoming change that will allow custom arena owners to enable or disable these commands. When enabled, progression will be disabled.
I have heard of this from time to time, and I’d suggest a ticket if it continues. The team may be able to advise you on how to eliminate the unneeded emails.
As this thread dates back to before the update, please use the current, active thread to discuss this topic. Thanks.

Since this issue has been fixed, this thread does not need to stay open.
This should only be because our servers are resetting. Note that 10 or so minutes prior to a build, PvP servers will shut down and restart.
You should be able to get back in now.

You appear to have submitted a ticket to ask about this, and that’s good. There’s really no point in posting at this time; the team will answer you as quickly as possible. Posting here will not get you the immediate service you seem to seek or expect. But you will be helped, and appropriately, as soon as the team can do so.
The forums are designed for follow-ups (after three days in the specific thread) and for general questions of an account nature. But we specifically do not encourage a “submit-and-immediately-post” culture.
If you find you still need help after three days, feel free to post in the Tickets for Review thread, which is at the top of this Account Support sub-forum.
We have a fix in the works for this issue.
Stay tuned!
We are working on a fix for this.
Stay tuned.
When this happens, it’s commonly found that the user’s email address has been compromised, or that the player has used the same password on different accounts.
Support just received the current ticket, so please give them time to address the issue with your roommate.
We have taken action when we have been able to ascertain that a guild name is offensive in a particular language, even when that language is not one of the four that is officially supported within the game. Each would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, of course.
If you provide the exact names (with correct spelling) and the translation in a support ticket, the team will take a look. I cannot make a promise that every one will be addressed as you would like, but they will be reviewed and action will be taken when appropriate.
Hi Adam – For this particular issue I’d recommend running a Disk Check and following up with a repair of the game client.
Sea of Sorrows killed him, here is the screenshot for proof.
I don’t know, that looks fishy to me :P

We’re looking in to this.
Hi Lazarus, good suggestions.
I am curious about your ideas for #1. At the time we roll out the OAuth-based APIs or soon after there will probably be an opportunity to also revisit the existing un-auth APIs. Feel free to PM me your ideas or post on the forum itself.
Regarding your idea #2, we have talked about doing this at some point. We wanted to get the fully factored information out there first, and then consider ways to fetch things in bulk later.
For your #3 changedSince, tracking new items or recipes etc is easy – but probably of marginal value since you guys can already do that yourself. Implementing a changedSince for existing items is actually hard given where the API sits relative to the other components. It is something I will think about though.
Thanks!
Thanks for the report, we are working on a fix for this.

To the OP: This sounds like a latency issue.
To the rest of the thread: I think this whole thing is a case of people reading way too far into a light-hearted comment about eagles and justice.
Shortcut Worm can be used as a shortcut in Tribulation Mode. Shortcut Eagle cannot.
Hi Delo – You’d probably get a better response to this in the Mac forums, but I’d like for you to try the following:
1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A dropdown will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” dropdown.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash.
The next time you launch Guild Wars 2 it will recreate the recently deleted folder.
Let me know if this helps!
Hi Xehanort,
I’m curious to know if you’re able to log in by changing the way Guild Wars 2 connects on your network. We can do this by adding “/clientport80” to the Target line of your client’s shortcut. this will force all data inbound and outbound to use port 80. Since port 80 is a very common port, it usually has the least amount of issues with transmission of data. To do this:
1. Locate the file “GW2.exe” and right-click it, selecting “Create Shortcut.”
2. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.”
3. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
4. Edit the “Target” line to include /clientport 80 at the end.
Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” /clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80”
5. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 4 again.
6. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” and try connecting again.
Hi Ivonbeton – At this point I think it would be best if you contacted us directly by submitting a support ticket. Please refer to the link below for info on how to do so and in addition to this please let the support team know what troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried so that you’re not having to waste time getting responses for steps you’ve done already.
Hi Zariuss – If you could provide your system specs this would be helpful to start. In addition, I’d like to see a crash log from you as well. This might shed some light as to why you’re experiencing these crash issues. You can find this by navigating to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and it’ll be the ArenaNet.log file. You can then attach it to the thread by clicking “More posting & formatting options…”

Hi Hitman – I took a look at your crash logs and it looks like you’ve got some CRC errors and so I’d recommend running a Disk Check and follow that with a repair of the game client. Additionally and unfortunately I can’t see the driver date in the reports that you’ve sent, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to update those if it’s been a while for you.

Hey Lara,
Have you tried the suggestion in the sticky post here?:

Thank you for letting us know! We have a fix for this and will be putting it out as soon as possible.
Stacks of Hardened Scales do not reduce incoming damage. It is just a complete invulnerability at 20 stacks until the Bone Walls are killed.
Hi ElementaMaxima – There could be any number of different reasons why this could happen. Best to go down the list and make sure your video card drivers are updated and that you don’t have any conflicting background applications or security software interfering with the client.
Hi Purepower – I’d like for you to try updating DirectX. The first link will provide you with the June 2010 redistributable which will force Windows to update Direct X. I provided this link below:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 (download and run this first)
Once installed, please use the following link to install all material post June 2010 for Direct X. Again this link is provided below:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 (download and run this 2nd)
Please be sure to save the file to your Windows desktop. Then create a new folder on the desktop and extract the DirectX files into it. Once they have been extracted open the new folder and use the DXsetup file to install DirectX.

Hi Bogya – I would like you to change the language for the launcher (top right corner) to French, English, or German to see if the download completes. Once the download completes, you should be able to change the launcher back to your original language and log in and play again.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue for you, I’d recommend temporarily disabling any security software that you have enabled so we can rule it out as interfering with the client.
Allow me to clear this up.
1. The meta will be available for 2 weeks.
2. The Tequat’l fight is permanent content; Rox and the dragon clue hunts will go away after 2 weeks.
3. “Boss Week” is a Shark Week joke.Too bad you guys didn’t release this on Shark Week. It would have been glorious! xD

Looking For Group Tool Beta
The new Looking For Group system is just about ready to be added to the game to aid players in finding additional party members for content. We will start rolling out the beta version of this feature over the next several days. The quality of the system is our paramount goal, and to ensure that the demand for the system doesn’t negatively impact performance, we will be allowing access to a subset of the player base initially. We will roll out the feature to additional players as the beta test continues.
When the feature is fully activated, here’s what you can expect:

Thanks for the constructive feedback! You make a lot of good points, though I am curious about one thing:
In #1 you’re saying that you can’t understand enough of the combat without being latched on to one specific player. Then, in #2, you say that epic skills should have epic animations. If we did #2, would that help with #1?
I see a couple problems with following players while shoutcasting; First, it puts the focus mostly on 1 entity in the fight, when there could easily be things happening around/behind that player that the casters might miss due to not being able to see them. Second, it is more difficult to control what’s happening with the camera. There isn’t much we can do about this as we can’t tell players to sit still so the camera doesn’t jerk around.
So, it makes me wonder if these two problems, maybe even #3 as well, would be alleviated with better skill tells and maybe less skill effects. Either way, I think we have a few options to help with the problems you feel happening in the shoutcasted matches.
FYI – ESL tourney had 1.8-2k concurrent viewers during the stream (not to mention #s from non-English streams). Maybe Blu can share with us the total number of unique viewers during the stream – but if it’s anything like the other GW2 tournaments, it’s probably around 30-50k unique viewers. I’d say that’s pretty good considering the LoL championship and GvG streams were happening at the same time!

Look into the thread about Master of Spheres World 2, that either seems to be bugged
Hmm. Not sure which thread that is. But this problem should be fixed in tomorrow’s patch.
As this has been resolved, I am locking the thread.
Thank you for your patience, folks.
Happy TP’ing…or something!
Hope it’s not too late to chime in, but it’s pronounced “teh-KWAHT-ul.” Kind of rhymes with “heck bottle,” with the accent on the “BOT.”
That’s how we say it in-house and how we have NPCs say it in-game through VO.
If you feel harassed or verbally abused by another, the best thing you can do is report the person. There is a handy tool in-game just for this.
This is spot on advice. . If you feel a player is abusive in-game, please report them using the in-game ticketing system so our Customer Support team can properly investigate the issue and take any appropriate action.
do not even mention selling in game items/codes on ebay or elsewhere, do not mention buying it online or charging gold or in game items for the code…it is a breach of the EULA and before anyone says “its allowed” confer to a dev/support because people selling Aion Wing codes in gw1 were terminated/suspended and the items removed from account/inventory nulling the entire trade.
People sell codes. And people, daily, get ripped off by buying them. If you think a GW2 Team member talking about that is a bad thing, I’d argue it’s a good thing to make it clear that:
- You should not purchase codes from third parties
- If you do, Support is extremely unlikely to be able to help you.
I hope you understand my comments better in that context.
so…you could say Gaile, that purchasing in game gold or items is just as bad -_- it IS against the EULA, you could please clarify that.
people in a specific guild i know are doing it, inbox me.
I don’t think it’s required for me to “clarify” a policy that is well known. I feel quite sure that everyone knows that buying in-game gold or items for real world money is completely disallowed.
I responded to your concerns earlier, but at this point , as I explained here – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Private-Messages-A-Personal-Request/first#post2402428 – I do not have the bandwidth to accept personally infraction reports. Please do not assume that means I don’t care, it simply means that I have many other tasks and there are better ways for you to report this. I suggest you use the Ask a Question tab on the support page, linked above, and report to the team who can investigate your report.
