Good day potential recruiters.

I recently returned to the game with the new expansion after an about 1.5y hiatus, not being able to play as much due to university. I am currently looking for solid guild I could commit to to help me invest time in and enjoy this game as much as I once did.

I am 21y old and live in South Africa (UCT+02). I have played GW2 since pre-release after playing GW1 for about 3-4 years. I played GW2 actively for about a year, in which time I was the Guild leader of Quaggan Stole My [Bike] in Aurora Glade and where i managed to rack up about 12k achievement points (if that matters).

I consider myself to have been a veteran before I left, though I may be a bit behind the times at the moment. However, I am a fast learner and should be back on track in no time, especially with a little guidance.

I was an active pve player with my guild, doing most dungeons paths every day as well as some fractals. I managed to get the Dungeon Master Achievement before the 1st Guild Wars 2 Christmas (before dwayna in arah got nerfed) and I got my personal fractal lvl up to 40 before I had to leave.

My main characters are my Mesmer and Elementalist, then I also have a Necro and Ranger at lvl80. My Mesmer is basically full Ascended, while my other characters are Exotic with full Ascended Accessories. My Mesmer has 80 Agony resistance while the others have about 30 i think. I am, however, willing to lvl up and fully gear other characters as the guild might need, though I do plan and prefer to stick to my mesmer and ele.

As for now, I still plan on doing random dungeons paths everyday as well as fractals of all levels, with a little bit of pvp mixed in there. Maybe get a few more legendaries and ascended armor pieces. I currently have no raid experience but I’d love to get into that and am looking forward to it. I also don’t mind helping people out. And this is what I need a nice guild for.

I am looking for a smaller to medium sized guild with about 10ish members who log everyday and are actively committed to the guild. My ideal member count would be between 20 and 75, but I am willing to go with a bit more. For the smaller guilds, I prefer not to be one with an exclusive group of people. The guild, of course, has to be on a European server, preferably on Aurora Glade if you plan on doing WvW together, otherwise I don’t mind. I wan’t a guild who’d join me for regular dungeon, fractals and raids, at any experience level. I’d probably prefer a semi-hardcore group of people who kind of know what they’re doing, but as mentioned I am willing to teach and advise. I’d also like the guild to participate in the weekly guild events , with which I can help organise and lead if you’d need. A Teamspeak ( or any voip) would be great for when doing stuff together, though I have public servers we could use if necessary and people are willing (especially with regards to guild missions). If you do have a website, I would gladly sign up.

We do just about every dungeon every day, in regular tours, and we pride ourselves in being able to do every path in every dungeon efficiently. We also multiple daily fractals of all levels . This being said, it may be required of you to switch your gear or traits to something that suits and compliments the guild.

One thing to note is that [Bike] is not a big guild nor do we plan on becoming one. We currently have about 40 members and aim to have a perfect roster of 50 perfect members. Bear in mind that member do get kicked if they do not meet up to expectations, whether it be not being active enough, lack of participation or incompetence , you may get kicked without warning. Our paradise is a strong community of like-minded friends who can take on anything together and a strive to become better.

Do not look at us as elitists pricks. [Bike] is a place for members to respect and support each other and ultimately improve and our skill and bond by playing together. We do mock and rip on bad pugs though, but mostly behind their backs.

We do expect a certain standard of player with certain qualities. Fist of all, [Bike] has to be your main guild and thus you are required to fully represent us. We do not want casual players who log for 2 hours a week, usually on a Thursday evening between 8 and 10 pm and is currently 100% focused on getting his longbow signet ranger to 80- No. We’re looking for dedicated players preferably logging once a day or at least 12 hours a week. People who participate. Ts and an active presence (logging not necessarily posting) on the guild website are more general requirements.

The ideal would be someone who has a good understanding of his class and fully geared to the point of ascended. This is not the only people we’re looking for though. If you’re a newly lvl 80 player and you have a keen interest in doing what we do, you are also most welcome provided you meet the basic requirements, are willing to change your gear and traits the way we expect of you and coming on ts while doing dungeons or fractals. Build guides are available on our website and we have multiple competent members capable of teaching.

We do not want any kitteny kitten holes coming in with the mindset that you’re better than everyone else. Generally speaking, don’t tell people what to do as most know and the guild has ways of doing certain things. Your knowledge and experience will be heard and considered but do not try to force it upon us. You may have been the best in your old guilds or every pug but veteranship must be earned.

The only way to improve is as a guild. Play together, respect each other and be the guild that most people wish they could be apart of.

We strive in the fact of being able to do every path of every dungeon efficiently. This basically means that certain things may be expected of you like changing your traits or gear, though we are primarily zerker focused. We also provide amazing build guides on our website, but seeing as you’re a good player you shouldn’t have too much an issue.

Do not think of us as elitist pricks (though we may be to some pugs), we are a tight friendly bunch who enjoy each other’s company.

I understand you’ve posted this 2 days ago and have probably already joined one of the guilds above me but i’ll go ahead and try my luck.

[Bike] is a dungeon / fractal focused guild on Aurora Glade EU with interests in WvW and PvP as well.

Overall you could possibly say our focus is playing together.

One thing to note, we are pretty hardcore when it comes to pve (compared to your average pug) and strive on doing things as efficient as possible while improving not only our skills together but also our bond. That being said, we do not approve of condition focusing in PvE. Not that we do not respect conditions as we understand its importance in pvp.

We do just about every dungeon just about every day as well fractals. Sometimes we pvp and wvw together and then we have our weekly guild missions and events such as our guild lotto.

Well [Bike] is dungeon / fractal focused on Aurora Glade EU.

We do just about every dungeon just about everyday with groupings usually starting in the mid afternoon and going to the evening (GMT). We pride ourselves in being able to do things efficiently, pretty much every path from every dungeon.

However, we are not nearly a large guild. We currently have about 40 members, who are regularly monitored and kicked if they do not comply to the expectations. To us, participation is everything as we do things in guild only groups as far as possible.

Then I do not know to what extent your Elite requirement goes. Everyone pretty much uses zerker and we have build guides on our website. We are pretty elitist and rude to pugs but in the guild we are a family. We treat each other with respect and form solid bonds and we try to push each other to become even better.

[Bike] is a Hardcore PvE guild primarily based in Aurora Glade with a SPECIFIC interest in Dungeons & Fractals. We formed in early 2013 and have been going strong ever since. We have retained a loyal core group of players but we are ALWAYS open to new applicants. As our main focus is ‘High-end’ PvE – we always aim to complete runs as efficiently and effectively as possible whilst maintaining a positive & friendly environment. As a guild, we do many things things together. Aside from our regular groupings and entertaining Teamspeak chats, we have events we like to keep ourselves busy with. Currently we have all the guild missions unlocked which we do every Sunday evening at 8pm British Time (GMT+0). While not mandatory, we do appreciate attendance to the guild events as well as it shows your commitment and willingness to help out the rest of the guild to obtain those rewards. It it also a great way for climbing the ranks in the guild. On these events we do require you to be on teamspeak and to give the people leading a fair chance to speak and orginise. Aside from the Guild Missions, we are looking to implement a guild lottery and scavenger hunt/hide-and-seek events with rewards once the blood starts pumping back into the guild.

As mentioned we hale from the Aurora Glade[EU] server with most of our members living in it’s heart. We do, however, allow players from other servers to share our experience with the hope that someday they would transfer over, possibly even with help from the guild!

Quaggan Stole My [Bike] is established guild on the Aurora Glade server with members from all over the GMT+0 – GMT+2 timezones. We are formed by experienced players who’ve been around the game and noticed the impersonal feeling you find in big guilds, where only an elite few are ever spoken to and greeted and there’s little difference between a guild run and a pug.

Our goal in Quaggan Stole My [Bike] is to from a close knit guild where everyone enjoys each other’s company and find a smile on their face when their fellow guildies log on. A guild where you know the person fighting next to you. Someone you can call a brother, sister, or simply just sibling in some confusing sylvari cases. Someone you will die for because you know he/she/it will do the same for you!

While [Bike] has had a thriving past, after a year of the game a lot of our members has taken a leave from the game or become much less active and sadly a lot of amazing members had to be let go, thus opening the doors for recruitment once again. As unfortunate as this might be, we are excited to view this as an opportunity to empower our guild with new personalities, experiences and opinions.

While specialising in PvE (i.e Dungeons, FotM, Living Story, Map meta events ,General achievement hunting and such), we actively participate in every aspect of the game, with eyes set on more frequent wvw events of a bigger scale as well as forming guild SPvP groups.

When it comes to PvE, our big focus is dungeons and FotM. We run dungeons of a daily basis purely for the fun it and pride ourselves on efficiently being able to complete every dungeon in game. With the new dungeon reward system limiting daily rewards to your account rather than your characters, We are even more eager to find additional dungeon doers to ensure that no one gets left behind on their daily completion. We also enjoy frequent Fractal runs and are specifically looking for people interested in level their fractals and doing them at a high level (30-50). In our guild we have some dungeon and fractals experts who are more than happy to teach and assist new members in confidence that our techniques be kept in guild. We also welcome and appreciate any new techniques and insights on these from experts joining the guild to broaden our own knowledge so that we may be even more effective in the future. [Bike] also prides itself in it’s number of dungeon masters and are more than willing to help any member achieve his/her own.

From a more general game aspect, we enjoy each other’s company in many of our “secret spots”. We also like assisting each other on their legendary weapon journey, with 4 recently crafted legendary weapons in the guild, be it with group map completions, getting enough of that certain dungeon’s token that no one dares to go to or simply farming the Arah pre event together. All this being said, we do not appreciate any form of begging as these things are done out of friendship and love for one another.

I would love to see class specific weapons or even just class class specific skins. Could also lead to specially designed legendary weapons to complement the class instead of trying to make a general one to fit all classes. Like creepy, evil looking , blood dripping necro weapon or even an ele weapon to change appearance or colour according to your attunement. I’d also like to see some fancy flashy purple stuff for mes.

I would love to see the flying pony emblem to return. Even the unicorn one would be great.

Finally someone else with some insight. It’s been bothering me for so long how you preview 2-handed weapons like greatswords and hammers. It’s just sticking out there, out of the screen, poking the person next to me. This might just be my bad sense of fashion but i find it hard to judge when it looks like that. And i’m quite picky with which skins i get.

I agree. Tbh, I would rather remove the ability to join multiple guilds and give us alliances. And then also even reduce the amount of members that a guild can have.

You would not need to rep more than one guild or have a guild 500 members big (where lots of people don’t rep) if you are able to be in a 10 guild alliance.

In GW1 you could. While you were dead, you could click on a party member and watch from their view. It’s a zoomed out version but you could clearly see what was going on.

I’d like to see something like this if the party member you want to follow is in the same map.

Which would you prefer?

It’s a nice idea but I think it might be a problem in WvW.

Lets say you’re attacking a castle or something, you all wipe but one person manages to get away. He places a WP and the whole zerg is back. Same could go for defending. The farthest outpost is under attack,no one but one person is there. WP and whole defensive zerg is there.

Might also end up being a way to cheat jumping puzzles.

Agreed. For the record, I’m already going for the legendary focus, and I’d totally go for the teapot instead of the Minstrel if the teapot existed.

Great to hear. Focus items are seen as one of the lesser weapons in the game with most hype around GS and staffs, which is understandable. But I do believe we deserve a special little focus.

I have made a design for the focus which i plan on entering in a weapon design contest when one pops up. This is to remind you that I am 100% serious about wanting this focus skin.

I’d like to see something like this added. I’ve added so many people to friends but forget who they are eventually and remove them again.

There is the nickname function that i used. I nicknamed someone for example “Necro who likes CoE”. The problem is that these nicknames reset after a patch (to me at least), after which i have less of an idea who these ppl are. Some people have weird unreadable names.

If this is implemented, they have to make it so it doesnt reset along with servers. Or at least let the nicknames not reset. The only problem with “Necro who likes CoE” is what do i call him when i say hi?

Especially the 4 in 1 permission. If nothing els, please make a invite members and admin members separate permissions.

I am happy that they changed it so that guild leaders can demote each other. In my guild we are 3 leaders and one got pc jacked by a flat mate who promoted everyone to leader. The entire guild demoted themselves again at least but 4 people never logged on again, so for about 2 months we had 4 extra guild leaders who were never online.

However, the fix for this problem could result in other problems occurring such as hostile take overs.

The thing that I would like to see mostly though is a thing saying when each member joined and when last they were online or representing. It’s hard to decide between people when kicking inactives when they might be actively playing at the exact times that i don’t.

Rather than giving better stat gear, they should add things that could generate an income, at least a small one.

I Gw1, I loved doing FA/JQ. What was better was that I could make Zkeys out of it and turn my hobby into a career. Atm, spvp is only for fun and I still play it for that, but it would be much more rewarding if something like this could be implemented.

Hopefully there will be some Return of the Zaishen pach or they will be added in a cantha expansion or something. The Zaishen made the game better in so many ways closer to the end of GW1. Should also bring back the Zaishen dailies, but for that we probably need more kinds of pvp. I pray for something more like FA / JQ or even maybe RA. SPvP is more like a AB.

A teapot would be a fun focus item to use as focus items are not very appealing to look at atm unless you have cool purple glowing chains.

Are you suggesting that cats are more superior to dogs? How dare you, sir. But this is beside the point.

I do not propose that people with teapots are more fancy and civilised , but you can’t argue that you will look fancy wielding one. It’s like a tiara. You will look pretty wearing one, but most importantly, you will feel pretty. Common folk do not have tiaras, but that does not make it wrong. It does not mean they can’t feel pretty. That’s what alcohol is for.

Social status aside, you cannot argue that wielding a teapot won’t be fun.

Social status not aside anymore, it is social discrimination to have beer mugs and wine bottle focus items. Does Anet see us all as alcoholics? What about some of us who prefer to drink tea or coffee instead of alcohol? What message are they trying to send to our children? It’s okay to run around with a wine bottle in your hand but it is socially frowned upon or even unacceptable to hold a teapot? If that is the case, I will put my cup of tea down right now and pick up the bottle of beer next it and parade down the street.

Then, to avoid being an utensilist, there should also be coffeepots and maybe even a bag of sugar. I know a few serious GW2 chefs and I know they would love to carry a bad of sugar. Although that might send a different message and cause caffeine addiction or diabetes.

Therefor it is in everyone’s best interest, Anet and the great community of GW2, that Anet bring in a Teapot skinned focus item.

Making T3 exotic would be nice, but wont really help that much. Cultural armor comes standard with one set of stats on them. Human cultural has Rampager stats built in. If you use that, great stuff, but if you don’t, you’ll just be transmuting it anyways.

I’m not someone to make a build around stats that are on my armor. I find stats to compliment my build.

The main reason people want cultural armor is for the skin (maybe achievement points), not the stats. If you could afford a T3 set, you should have no issue buying a cheaper exotic set with the right stats and some fine transmutation stones. If you don’t wanna spend money, get dungeon armor pieces with the stats. Or do a bit of both!

I can’t be the only person dieing for this. There is a beer mug focus and a bottle, why not a teapot?

If you saw an elegantly dressed character holding a teapot or maybe a teacup in their hand, would you not be impressed by their classyness and get goosebumps? I know I would.

As for holding, the character would be holding it by it’s handle. They should even maybe make it a legendary and let steam come out of the stout, or tea.

If they have a weapon design competition like they had in GW1 where are the best looking weapons came from, I hope someone would enter an idea like this at least, since my entry would not win. But the idea will!

In GW1, primary profession did make a difference.

Only mesmers could use fast casting. Only Necros could use Soul Reaping. Every profession had their primary attribute that only they could use. Their armor also had unique bonuses to it. Warriors only had 2 energy regeneration while casters had 4 due to stats being added to their armor. Warriors had extra armor vs physical dmg, while rangers had extra armor vs elemental dmg, again special bonuses on the armor.

Then you could not add runes of certain professions to another. Any other class could not put the +3 fire or +1 Energy Storage rune on their armor. Each profession also had unique insignias that could be added.

With the above said, primary profession made a huge difference in gw1, not just the way your armor looks or that it was heavy or light. It’s not like you could have been one profession and be able to effectively run every build in the game. A spell casing warrior was a bad idea, since they had 20 base energy and only 2 regeneration. Not to mention that it lacks the primary bonuses like Energy Storage or Soul Reaping. A necro could run just about any spell casting build due to Soul Reaping, yes, but it would have lacked the power. An elementalist with 16 fire magic, who could easily manage their energy perfectly fine, is much more devastating than wanna-be fire casting necro. Also, SC’s required certain builds with certain stats, like a 16 shadow arts assassin to easily maintain SF without having to rely on other skills, while a bu was active ofc.

Primary profession in GW1 did matter and that could not be changed. Therefor Kaimick is correct.

I also support the idea that it should not be allowed in GW2. Having a lot of dyes on one character is not a very good point. I doubt that you use all of those. It’s also not the end of the world if you have to settle with something a little lighter than abyss. The fact that you only need 1 dye to dye your whole set as many times as you like is a big money saver. I don’t wanna know how many black and white dyes I’ve bought in gw1. As for leveling, if you played your character long enough, you should have some money gathered. If you hate leveling so much, you could craft your way to 80 in no time. Or at least use it to give a boost. I do prefer they way you level in gw2 over any over MMO I’ve played in anycase.

In ER we believe in quality over quantity. We want to maintain a roster of about 50 active members who are actively contributing to the success of the guild. We are looking social players who actually use the guild chat function and participate in some of our many regular events. We also expect our members to actively represent us and to use our guild forums regularly, as events and special competitions get posted and discussed there. Our main focus is on PvE. We enjoy doing regular guild dungeon runs, not only for the personal profit, but also for the fun and social experience of it. While not being the primary focus, we also enjoy some casual sPvP and WvW.

We are not elitists, but we do require our members to have some PvE skill. We pride ourselves on successful dungeon runs and working together to achieve this. Members do not necessarily require to have first hand knowledge and experience of every dungeon, nor do they even need a level 80, but the willingness to learn and grow together as a guild. We have a bunch of experienced members more than willing to assist and lend advice to those in need. We also have grouping aimed at helping members level up for those who are interested.

In Elite Raiderz, we are busy implementing a unique ranking system to enhance the guild experience of our members , which will also serve as a special guild achievement.
