I feel like all the Renegade hate. The look flipping epic. AND I feel people who say it is unfinished just went into a map and pressed 1. I feel it is one of the most finished of the classes.
Found the revenant player.
The overwhelming majority of rev players I spoke to called it trash as well. If you think Renegade is ‘one of the most finished’ then have to call BS.
I am a pve player not a pvp. So I could care less what PVP players think of a class.
Renegade still needs PVE buffs most likely. The weapon is too weak and costs too much energy.
Anet you hinted there were already changes made since the first demo weekend, any chance you could show them off so maybe we could see there’s light at the end of the tunnel for all the mediocre elite specs?
Spellbreaker 2/10. The only bonus of spellbreaker is it’s great at stacking might and removing boons. Other warrior specs/traits can already stack might fine and boon removal is mostly pointless in PVE (Some niche in higher fractals).
The spec removes synergy with adrenal health, berserker power, and cleansing ire, the damage on counter is DISTURBINGLY low. 4k crit counters at 3000 power and 230% crit damage? My axe already does that kind of damage on just auto crits.
For SB to work adrenal/BP/Cleansing need a rework and daggers need a massive damage buff.
Oh god no. SPellbreaker was actually one of the strongest PvP elite specs and could go toe to toe with the monsters that were Scourge and Holosmith.
Damage isn’t as important as the aoe interrupt/damage mitigaton/resistance/condi transfer and boon rip all on a tiny CD of 6 seconds. It is quite an amazing skill, it’s not anyone’s fault you only play one game mode.
Spellbreaker was one of the strongest things in the beta weekend, primarily due to FC
PVE is the most popular game mode and is also balanced separately from WvW and PVP.
Spellbreaker is liquid hot crap garbage in PVE, and I could not care less about PVP or WvW.

Condition damage definitely needs a flat nerf across the board though. It’s easier than buffing power to bring it up to par. Just a flat 20-30% damage nerf to all condition types would be a good direction to take it.
In PVE even dire armor condis will out damage berserkers, except for DH.

Berserker power should just be a stacking buff that is refreshed by any burst.
The mystic forge straight up gives you a new item, it’s not a ‘transformed X to Y’
It’s ‘Your X is now gone, here’s a Y’
I prefer warr’s stick and move playstyle but there’s no question that guardian is the better profession for groups.
Increase the duration to 15 seconds, so that both spellbreaker and berserkers can reliably use this trait if they’re skillful with their burst timing.
If they unnerfed berserker power, or counted full counter as a level 3 burst it would help tremendously.
Hell even just increasing duration to 15 seconds would make it possible to keep up 3 stacks.

The playstyle isn’t bad, but I just wish it had more damage and better bursts. Having crappy burst feels like it goes against warrior design.
When in PVE, if you use full counter it stops your auto attack and doesn’t resume it afterward.
Don’t know about others but that will drive me insane having to re-click auto every single time I counter. It hurts the flow of combat really bad.
Power/Vitality/Healing Power.
Don’t think that’s a set currently.
Wanna try out a greatsword heal guard.

Spellbreaker will be terrible in PVE as it stands, and a meme-zerg spec for WvW where you’re wanted only for suiciding rushing in with elite during clash.
Daggers are definitely NOT worth using at the moment, their damage is low, the gap closer is tiny, and they just don’t offer much over other weapons.
Anyway LB is probably the best as hybrid weapon, some mixture of power, crit and condi. As full condi is not that strong imo.
Maybe as core. As zerker condi longbow is competitive with sword.
The burst was so powerful when HoT launch they cut it down HARD and it’s still one of the best warrior bursts.
ALL warrior weapons are in need of a buff for power builds atm. Rifle, GS, and Longbow being the worst offenders.
As someone who plays heavy armor I wish there was skimpy armor for females.
Hero points are part of the character progession. You can have over 350 spare hero points right now. There is no dilemma.
except when acquiring said hero points are gated behind difficult group content or difficult to reach places which require gliding or navigating through multiple layers of map,
I’d say most people consider this to be part of gameplay. It’s better than handouts.
Spellbreaker is pretty crap so I might. Tired of berserker/condi was hoping for a power alternative. Guess I’ll just change my armor over to my DH.
Greatsword sucks/suffered because of PVP.
At game start bullcharge + frenzy + 100b = dead in spvp, so anet nerfed the crap out of GS.
Now that PVP/WvW/PVE are being split more and more balance-wise it’s time to restore damage to the greatsword. 1 alone could use a 30% damage buff just to be competitive with axe.
In OW pve, if you want to go as a power warrior, double axe is the way to go. It has far more damage than the GS, and with the GS, you will lose and die a greater percentage of your fights. The only thing that GS gives you is some greater mobility and a gap closer. Not worth it, in my opinion.
Axe/Axe also gives insane adrenaline gain which pairs well with BP, Adrenal, and Ire.
Axe/Axe power crit with mace/shield for defense/breakbar was a build I used for a long time in OW
Just need to double the damage of counter, buff the base damage of several weapons (especially daggers) and it might compete with at least core power warrior.
Right now counter for PVE is not worth giving up level 3 bursts, and dagger isn’t worth using over axe. Especially mainhand dagger.
So Berserker…. a damage boosting spec… does more damage then a control/suppression spec…. UNPOSSIBLE.
You don’t do more control or suppression as spellbreaker, as control/suppression comes from mace/shield/hammer anyway.
Man I wish there are more kittenty armors for heavy. Or just good looking armors in general.
TP speculation aside this is undermining of player experience – dropping once prestigious skins as well as memory items under the bus. In a form of gambling.

You are not entitled to rarity, prestige, or money based on things happening in game. Conditions are subject to change at any time for any reason. That’s part of being in an MMO.
Funny I was just in their forums and no one thinks this. But every class thinks their elite is crap right now.
You’re not the first to notice it, and it’s pretty funny. Might even be an indication that the new elites are already balanced.
Or that several of them are trash. I guess trash is balanced against trash, but against the core or previous elite spec most of them are crappy.

Spellbreaker is worse than core AND berserker
Firebrand is worse than core AND Dragonhunter
The only ones I’ve seen that are different/powerful enough to be upgrades are Scourge and Holosmith.
No chance, because of the f2p nature of the game people pick it up and drop it all the time. Including returning for expansions.
Honestly it’ll hurt only new players if they make it require hero points. I don’t do repeatable HP’s or anything special and I have 350+ just sitting around that I’ve accumulated over time. So unless they’re a NEW kind of HP the only people that will be dissuaded from playing are new players.
The projectile reflect on Spellbreaker dagger 5 is not worth the insane CD (20s weaponskill?) and the reflect.
None of the utilities feel useful.

Level 1 bursts lacks synergy with all other warrior trees (Adrenal, Berserker Power, Cleansing ire) This is honestly the most grievous part about spellbreaker, and imo deserves a full rework. Right now core is better than Spellbreaker at EVERYTHING except boon strip, and boon strip is unimportant in anything but strict 1v1
Spellbreaker dagger damage needs massive buffs. The utilities feel like I will never take or use them, but then I don’t use berserker utilities either so guess that’s not that big a deal?
Something that should of been done, and I thought this was how it was going to work:
Counter should be an entirely separate adrenaline bar (Counter Bar), that isn’t drained by normal burst attacks and fills up independently.
Give us two stocks of level 1 adrenaline, and the separate counter bar (3 total bars). This would allow for skillful weaving of Burst 1, counter, Burst 1. Which would let skilled players still use adrenal health and berserker power.
I’m all for it being nerfed so we could get a version that’s useful in PVE.
This Single trait, compensates the Berseker Nerf.
Its basically a free 300 power, and synergize with Physical Skills, u get bonuses damage from doing CC.

You’re right – an unblockable burst on 7 second cooldown that grants stability, protection, resistance, absorbs an attack, gives an evade, does ridiculous aoe damage, copies 5 conditions to 5 targets, aoe interrupt/daze, and aoe boon rip puts me to sleep too. I feel so mistreated and underpowered.
Yes that one button is so amazing compared to entirely new and interesting ways to play the class that others get.

Berserker was also far to weak when it got released. We can hope that the devs will buff SB like they did with berserker during the months to come.
This is just blatantly not true. I don’t know about powerzerker, but longbow zerker was so broken they had to completely destroy the burst skill early on.
Only thing I can think of is the aoe boon strips and reveals for pvp. Other than that, a vanilla power warrior who goes into Strength, Defence and Discipline with Might Makes Right is better. Puts out a lot more pressure than Spellbreaker.
To be honest, boons are so quick/easy to reapply that boon strip as a mechanic isn’t that impressive. Other classes already do it better while also bringing more to the table.

ok so i havent seen all the animations of the other classes but it looks like most of them are reused animations from existing skills so i dont know why your guys are crying so much
at the end of the day, why care so much about an animation when you will not care about it after one hour of playing the class
but i digress, reading the class forums is like being inside a preschool classroom, bunch of whiners crying about reused animations and wanting to assault devs makes me not want to live on this planet lol
Don’t forget the “Welp, I’ve been playing this new spec for 2 hours now, so I have completely figured out all of its possible mechanics and mastered its full potential” sort of mentality.

4 new skills and a bunch of passive traits. Yes, it doesn’t take time or rocket science to understand or master it. It plays almost exactly the same as a regular power core warrior.

I love spellbreaker, but dagger is not balanced. A dagger warrior is basically like a mobile hundred blades with an interrupt. Lowering the damage is a must do because it feels like it can out damage a zerker…
This legit made me laugh. Dagger has less mobility than GS, less evade, and less damage.
If anything dagger needs a pretty massive damage buff to 1, 2, 3, and 5. As well as a range increase and evade frames on 2.
There hasn’t been a good armor design since carapace for heavy.
Everything since then has been just awful.

In PVE Spellbreaker isn’t just bad, it’s a significant downgrade to core warrior even, not to mention berserker.
In PVP It’s a side-grade at best, maybe a downgrade.
Low? really? I’ve tried demolisher/leadership in pvp with d/sh+m/d. The offhand dagger #4 can crit for 10k and full counter is so OP and crits for like 5k+
That is just adorable that you think 10k is a big hit.
If you try to use other weapons prepare for disappointment at level one bursts then, not to mention you don’t get the fancy new animations.
So you might as well just play core. Why play SB and not use dagger?
Using the burst skill is actually a pretty significant DPS loss too over just AA chain.
If they didn’t limit SB to 1 adrenaline it actually might have a workable spec, but with only one I feel like it’ll never be good in PVE or PVP.
The only way it’ll be viable in PVE is if enemies are literally spamming perma full boons at all times. This would make SB ok but also would make the game hell on earth for almost all other specs.
