Enemies in a game connot be smarter than any one of the customers.

Enemy AI is a thing in games since ages. Every new game says it has smarter enemys, so the gamers who want interesting gameplay buy it, but enemys have to be stupid, so every one can best them ( maybe in the older days it really was a problem of not having the possibility to create a good AI but we should be past that).

Its one of the rules that you have to heed when you write tales for children: The villain cant be smarter than your target audience. So if you write a book, make a movie for 10 year olds, the hero has to be a 10 year old, who is smarter than everyone else, even if they are grownups.
Of course…some people dont get smarter, when they grow up. So if you want a big target audience even for adults…… the villain may not be smarter than a 10 year old ( seen in Episode 1 of the current Living Story, the pretty smart Caudecus turns stupid to not challenge the intelligence of any player).

They can be sold to a vendor for 50 Silvers. So even without hot way more profitable than the ToT-Bags in last seasons BL-Chests.

Second day of gathering stuff for an elixir that does not work( ie doesnt provide the buff but consumes the materials). So…when do i get to progress in the story? This is almost as bad as The Dragon’s Reach desaster. Just that not every player is affected.

I did the story step yesterday. Logged off to proceed today but lost the buff. So I made another elixir today, but my wife didnt get the buff, while i did. So we have to try again tomorrow. This is untolerable, we want to do the story and all we do is run around the new map for stuff we need, without knowing it will work the next time.

I never got one of these parts by completing the meta although the collection was active. So there is NO guaranteed drop!

I got multiple part from pods in one go, so there is no limit.

Prediction:

The Episode will start in that tavern in Divinity’s Reach where DE2.0 celebrate their new name. In the middle of it all hell breaks lose, the White Mantle start their attack on the Queen killing both her and Logan. We then have to defeat the Mantle to ascend Cashmere to the throne ( and killing Caudecus along the way, who was transformed into some brainless monster).

And I will enjoy reading the bashing between Cashmeresupporters vs ppl who think removing the only heterosexual couple is a bad idea. :-P

I have been getting massive lag spikes in any game mode in the last few days. Since the patch yesterday I cant even log on for more than 2 secs ( log-in, grab daily loginreward, disconnect).

So…Asia and Africa are specific cultural themes, while Europe/Murica is universal? What kind of EGO is that?

There have been two hotfixes so far and none resolved the issue. It would be nice to know if this is worked on or if i have to buy the new mini.

I’ve looked it up. What tmorrow said may be true. The wiki still refers to the mini as Corrupted Quaggan, while the tp and the wardrobe call it icebrood Quaggan. But this also means, that we didn’t get the renamed mini although we had the old one.

This seems unfair/buggy to me.

I have exactly the same issue. It isn’t in my fiances wardrobe either ( though she didn’t own it). It seems like it got deleted from the game since it also doesn’t appear in the tp any more.

The exploit in the Jade Maw Fractal was also fixed. The mobs no longer leave, when the first two tentacles are killed.

Now everyone can kick me despite me opening the dungeon, hooray.

I think you wont recognize the difference between my cosplay and the original. Obviously I’, cosplaying the character on the bottem right of the screen.

Longbow/Shortbow rangers are not efficient or successful when it comes to pulling their own weight in a party who’s goal is to farm content quickly.

I think that is the problem with the dungeon subforum. It’s not about playing dungeons, it’s about farming dungeons. If there was a Queensdale thread before the update, it would have been all about the train and not the ton of other stuff assiciated with that map.

I dragged a lot of people through the Aetherpath by now( I always PUG with my fiance, so usually 2 experienced players +3ppl who are doing the path for the first time). These guys are so thankful every time. That is much more fulfilling than finishing in 30min.

I really find these discussions entertaining and I am very successful with my Longbowranger ( she killed every gauntlet boss including Liadri btw. I heard this was impossible, but…oh well^^).

When they introduced the spinal backpacks they made the tailor recipe cost 200g and the leatherworking recipe cost 15g for the same item.

That was actually a good idea. This took a lot of unused leather out of the game resulting in a rise of leatherprices. So medium armor is now at about the same price as light armor.

Oh well, I might aswell enter. Tried to mix the races a bit. ( also asura fashion^^)

The first picture shows my self proclaimed Reaper Souvrii in Ascalon Catacombs(Can’t wait for that title^^). I usually use Tormented Scepter and Bloodseeker, but that picture looked crappy. Shes wearing Heritage Armor, Karka Backpiece and starter eyes.

Second my hazardous mushroom Velothi in Twilight Arbor Aetherpath. I have tried to run this path with another class, but the team always fails till I switch to her. Armor is just Tier 2 plus the rose backpiece.

And for the last one Elora Shadowleaf my first character in Fractals of the Mist. I finally perfected her look, but I may want to get the Phoenix Longbow. Mostly its T2, but I needed shoulderparts to cover more, than the ones from the set. Also I have used other gloves, that I found in the wardrobe.

Can I win without using Bikini-Mail?^^

You get new skins every 75 crafting levels. Obviously, you didn’t craft at all or you destroyed everything you crafted because you only care about lvl 80 gear. The wiki and Inculpatus are correct.

Thanks for the clarification. The same has been the case for the missing headpieces. I have unlocked all skins properly now.

Ok, i think I got it. The witch hat and baseball cap dont have any slots in the wardrobe and should be consumables. I’ll check this armor guy, if they hand tham over to me. Edit: This content has been disabled…..

Still the devil horns are in the wardrobe, thus have to unlock the usual way. As I said, they where autoatically unlocked on my fiances account.

Which still leaves the green quaggan backpack. Since the other backpacks have a place in the wardrobe this one should have one too. I didn’t unlock it untill now, since I dont have a fitting character but the option should be there.

I dont know if there is already a topic about this, didnt find one.

All the “Town Clothes” hats that I owned did not unlock for me. This includes the devil horns, the witch hat and the baseball cap. Since the devil horns are unlocked on my fiances account and I have seen some of the others ingame, this seems like a bug.

I can also not find a slot in the wardrobe for my green quaggan backback

I have to agree that it is highly unfair. I will get 2 of the cultural armors anyway because I want the skin and dont know anything else to spend the glory on, but if I want the title at some time I dont want to spend another 240 Gold that I already spent as 120Gold+120k Glory.

It says “soulbound” on my pvp-armor.

Besides: That is still no reason for the devs not to answer the question.

The Devs have been ignoring this question for months now.

Ok, I look forward to this new system because I play PvE and PvP. But there are stil unanswered questions.

First: Will every item in the PvP-Locker be unlocked? Same for every currently equipped item in PvP?

Second: I think of ourchasing T3-Armor from the Gloryvendor. If I do this, will they count for the Emporortitle after the 15th? If they dont, People who want that still need to buy for 120 Gold.

Since very few ppl are complaining I guess it is a bug that only affects some accounts. But since I have been reporting issues about Rankpointrewards for over a year now i guess we are branded for life.

I never get any Rankpoints for participation.

Thats a major lol. At the start I received Rankpoints and Glory for everything I did + Rankpoints and Glory for wins in Tournament.
Then I received Rankpoints and Glory for everything I did + Glory and a chest with Pvpitems for wins in Tournament. the gain of rankpoints was broken for which i filed tons of tickets.
Then they removed the gain for anything i did and introduced a Rankpoint/Glory-gain for winning or losing a match. Rankpoints from the Tournamentchest still broken.
Then they introduced Gold.
And with the latest patch, the pvp-chest was removed. Also Glory was removed. Also the flat bonus of Rankpoints after a match is now broken. Also i dont receive gold for a match.

Which means… I get absolutely nothing.

I’ll make it short. Scarlet hates life being controlled by other forces. If we assume that Sylvari are in truth minions of Mordremoth ( which Ventaris tablet prevented for the Sylvari of the Pale Tree), then she will try to destroy said Mordremoth. To achieve this she will dig out Primordus and send the two dragons at each others throats. The winner can be taken out by her vast army.

If you like stuff like that: Scarlet for Primordus and Briar for Mordremoth.

I noticed there’s a pin in the Tyrian map in Scarlett’s lair. I looked around, and the only significant landmarks I found near the pinpoint area are the Luminates power plant and the Hylek and Nightmare Court camps. I don’t know if this place will be significant in the future or anything. Of those, I think the Luminates plant is pretty significant since it has been said that is has power comparable to the power plant in Rata Sum.

The spot on the map marks the village of the Soundless. A sate of bein that Scarlet aspires.

I tend to disagree. 4 Updates starting January 21 means 8 weeks/2Months. So Scarlet will rule Living World till mid march. Next update should be just Balance/WvW and stuff, so I guess the Box will return in April again.

The map is there for at least over a year. I remember talking about this with my GF when we played for vigil the first time.

I am not a professional musician, but this game only requires pressing buttons. YAY.

And let’s face it kids, Christmas should not be about behaving yourselves. The religious part set aside ( which we aren’t allowed to discuss on this forum, anyway I guess), you should BE good, and not BEHAVE good. Pretending to be good gets you all the candy, but the other kids still don’t want to play with you, once they find out you stole theirs too.

I have to agree with jazzllanna. There would be no point to craft the minis, when they are accessible by doing the meta ( which means, we still can’t get all 5, but who wants the doll anyway?).

This year the mini will be awarded for the meta, so I guess not.

I think it would be cool, if there was a hidden update that is alrady implemented und will be accessible when the tower is dead. This could happen around the correct time but will probably be a bit sooner.

That way, we have our biweekly update ( that is off a few days, but who cares?) and the Arena staff does not have to work on Christmas.

I play on a 5 year old computer and it was fine for me. Maybe it’s time to check your video card drivers?

Rest of the content, that does not have 50+ Players on screen works fine, so I guess….no.^^

Tixx only builds toys, there is nothing in it for Scarlet. But I guess the tower will die during Wintereenmas, so Scarlet could make an appearance.
