Just wanted to say a big thank for the new built-in mini game.

It’s super awesome, and clicking 1000 times to get 1 copper worth of loot which you can’t even vendor nor TP cause of it’s price (nor do you want to waste time on it) just have to destroy is one of the best things ever.

Please never implement a use all option, cause that would ruin most of the fun.

Suggestion:
Please make rune/sigil recipies deletable only if you type in the full name – a mini-game, whithin a mini-game!

Three attempts are my limit. If I can’t kill a new boss in three attempts, I turn my focus to preventing others from completing the content. A single player with a proper strategy can shut down an entire group on Tequatl, Marionette and Wurm. Going by your example I could simply state that I am forcing those players to become better by making their event far more difficult than need be. It’s a win for everyone, right?

My heart just got all warm now. I’ve been selling key parts for the last 3 days. The price was ranging from 21 s to 7 s. I sold like 50.

Ah… feels so good that some people will never learn and/or will want everything at day one! Keep at it my herd!

Ps.: Diablo3 failed for many other reasons btw. Mainly because it sucked hard But that’s another topic.

Part 2

We jump in the breach, at least, most do, 2 guys walk in and die. I turn south and search for a poison bubble to pop. I pop it open, boss charges in it, it’s stunned. I summon an iZerker and 2 iDuelist using my Signet of the Ether. I place a Time warp. DPS is looking okay despite the 5-6 guys still at the breach entrance ressing the 2 guys who died or just AFKing.

The 2 bosses are nearing, they will collide in 5 seconds. I use /s aka local chat: “go ranged, quick”. Out of the 12 guys I have there 2 goes ranged, the rest dies at the bosses. Some new guys jump in the breach, and start ressing the dead. No one waypoints. With my 2 faithful guys, we do our best to stun the bosses, while others are being ressed, of course, they go down again in the next 2 times the bosses meet. My “please stayed at ranged when the bosses are together” seems to have no effect.

1 minute left. Silver is at 5%, we can kill it, but gold is almost full, not a chance. I see a warrior using hundred blades on bubble, that is nowhere near the bosses. I accept my fate.

Breach failed. Gold Teragriff and Copper Husk survived. Map chat goes wild “kittennoobs worst breach i’ve seen”. First guy retruns “I SAY NO AOE REDkittenTROLL COMMANDER”. I am unsure if he means me or the actual commander at Red. I am mad enough now to reply, altough I know I shouldn’t: “let me guess, 10 rangers stood at the ledge spamming 1 in AFK mode even tough the boss was out of range?”. “kittenTROLL” – I now know at least he meant me.

Vinewrath is coming up. I get ready my copypaste messages that I have made for it. The lane phase starts and out of the 15 people I have in my lane at least 7 are AFK. No matter, it’s doable anyway. We escort the siege, and engage on the Troll. People hide behind the honeycomb, and stay there troughout the fight. I see a lot of autoattacks, but some are just standing in the stack. “Please use skills to do damage” – I type that with a bit of sarcasm. Troll walks up to the Vinewrath, people are still autoattacking from the same spot, even with non-stop red text saying “obstructed”. Troll is at 10%, we got 30 seconds left. We get all boons from another lane and we manage to kill the troll with 10 seconds to spare. Luckily, no brain or tactics were required.

I paste my message for the Tresher: “Vinewrath boss#2 (tresher): Use reflection if it spins in the middle! Kill pustules -> touch white circles they leave behind for a buff. Get in the white cone shape when boss goes to the Vinewrath!” A guy goes: “shut up everyone knows what to do”. Tresher fails.

We manage to defeat the Vinewrath in the end, with little hopes I arrive at the chests. No Coat. Again. I get a Twister in a Jar from one of the Bandit chests. Deep inhale, slow exhale. Repeat.

“Let’s try to do a Labyrinth” – as I have 8-9 greater keys stacked up. “Please do the event at – I link in the Labyrinth POI – so the waypoint opens”. Around 20-30 people arrive at the Labyrinth. Exactly 1 does the event with me.

We are done with the event, 1 minute left of tier1 of the Labyrinth, chests opened: 79/100. We might just get to tier 2, I am starting to doubt my own memories of tier 3.

I rush the middle, to open the big chest as many times as I can to advance the tier. 4 guys are lying dead on the chest. I skew the camera all over the place, but cannot click on the chest. I have to revive, the WP is open by this point. Suddenly a Guardian leaps in with a Wolf following him, I swiftly invis with my torch, but the guardian is running straight at me. We both down and die.

I log out.

Um, so what are u doing here again?
Coz frankly if the game is so bad for you, so easy and not challenging at all, those games u mentioned are still out there and i’m curious why u are here and not playing them?

And I’m curious why you are playing if you are having difficulties and burst out in tears on the simplest of bosses. Seems like 99% of the people even in this whinethread have no problems with it, maybe the problem is with you?

So to appease them, Anet adds events like the great wurm and tequatil, which btw used be enjoyed by a huge number of people, including lower than lvl 80 players, to now where it’s only being done by a select few.

I just loled. Old Teq was enjoyable? Just… Wow. Luckily for you, you can still enjoy the Frozen Maw. Go on, have fun.

Imo, not all content should be hard in a game, particularly an MMO, where u have to cater to masses of varying tastes, ages and abilities. You saying, when i was growing up games were more difficult, reminds me of my grandma, who always made a point to remind me of how things were much harder in her youth. Maybe the reason people didn’t come to complain on the forum in them days, was the very limitation of internet at the time or simply that online games weren’t as popular as they are now. It’s pointless trying to go back to the past, it’s a different world now. Now every man and his dog has a PC and internet connected. Some years ago, i could count on my hand how many had it in my town.

Too bad all of the game is as easy as it gets. Hard content so far was: 1. Teq, 2. Liadri, 3. SAB tribulation mode, 4. 3-headed Wurm. Yep, Anet sure appeals to the hard content lovers…

Today, with hectic lifestyles and limited amount of leisure time, some people play games to relax and have fun. Maybe your kind of fun is dying 1000 times and for you that means a good challenge, but it’s not to everyone’s taste and certainly not mine. It’s nice sometimes to just have a “walk in the park” in a game, rather then be stressed out all time with every little bit of content that you come across. I’m not saying that’s what gw2 is, but if Anet listens to these so called hot shots, this game would become unplayable for most people especially newcomers. They would start playing, die a lot, then leave the game and post on internet how gw2 sucks.

I do believe there should be content for players like you as well and you do have some, like fractals, dungeons and those i mentioned above. I’m cretanly not aversed to Anet adding more instanced challenges for people who want that. but open world should be relatively easy for leveling, except perhaps the world events.

But like some others have said in this thread, story should never be presented like that. It should always be enjoyable and about the story itself, with perhaps mild challenges. It should never be about neither skills or kills and certainly not designed for pure frustration just for the sake of it. Because no matter how good the story may be, when u get that frustrated, the story is lost and all it becomes in ur mind is, ugh let me just get through it so i never have to do it again and that is a real shame, especially if the story is good.

And that’s exactly what you got, a mild challange.

Mesmer Temporal curtain not stacking

The topic almost says it all. The Mesmer spell – Temporal curtain (Focus offhand, skill #4) does not stack (in duration, or in any other way) with any other swiftnesses.

I can see how this could be intentional, so you cant walk trough your own spell multiple times to gain a lot of swiftness. but it is still a bit annoying when you are trying to run in a group as fast as you can (like in WvW commando raids), and your spell just goes to waste.

If it is intended – so be it. If it is a bug, I would love to see a fix.

Why should we put in effort to do something we don’t find rewarding or fun?

You obviously shouldn’t.

All the people on my server, all those who show up regularly for such a thing (and those people are 100+ for each attempt) actually find it fun and rewarding to defeat the hardest large scale PvE content in the game currently.

You know, actually achieving stuff.

Ps.: I’m hoping for difficulty between Tequatl and Karka Queen honestly.

Altough I find it highly unlikely that this will ever happen, it is a good suggestion.

It may be just me, or I am reading the wrong forums, but they are in 80% whinefests. About everything.

I just get mad reading some of them, with threats like “If you don’t do as I will Anet, I will quit the game and take all my friends with me!”. Really guys, really?…

As an organizer at many world events (Teq, Dry Top tier 6, Marionette – not anymore, 3-headed Wurm – not anymore), I can say that dead people are a burden, and the worst things that can happen. Never bother ressing them.

If you are dead in the first place, that means you weren’t doing what you were supposed to. Sure, everyone makes mistakes, that is what downed state is for.

I simply hate is when dead people yell “REZZ FFS!!!!!” 3 meters away from the Waypoint, I would slap their dead bodies around if I could.

All you are doing when laying dead is upscaling, making a potentiel death trap for others, wasting DPS, blocking downed resses. And why? Because you were too cheap to pay 1 silver 40 coppers for a WP.

Death in GW2 is way forgiving, almost meaningless and thus people don’t even care if they die. Abolishing armor repair costs was an awful decision.

Part 1

I log in.

I skip trough the login reward for which I have to view the daily achievments even tough I don’t want to, whatch it slowly going away.

I waypoint to the Silverwastes, with a deep sigh, mumbling to myself, attempt 32, be kind Rngeesus and finally give me a Coat.

On arrival I notice that the “Next pact assault will begin in 5 minutes”. Fair enough. I pop open LFG tool, see 5-10 ads for “WARRIOR ONLY 5KAP ZERK!!!” in General PvE tab, and keep looking for the magic SW x% to pop up. A 60% pops up, I’ll try to join – too late, I wasted an extra second scratching my left ear and the party got full. Soon enough SW 80% pops up, I actually manage to join the party, but as expected, the map is already full.

The 5 minutes have passed and Pact assault has begun. Another sigh. Well, might as well get this show rolling. I tag up, like I tagged up in the past for the last 100+ times. Indigo or Red, Indigo or Red, can’t decide it depends on my mood really, I am feeling indigo today, but by the end of the run I know I’ll feel red.

“Anyone feels like tagging up for other forts?” – As always, no reply. I manage to solo the mordrem at indigo whtihin 5 minutes, and the first fort is on a roll now. “Can we get some tags for amber/blue/red?” – dead silence.

Click, LFG tool open once again. I start to type: “SW – 0% – need 3 more comms please”. About 15 seconds pass and a sylvari ranger joins my party, taxies in on me, leaves my party immidately. My LFG is erased. So I open it once again and type: “SW – just started – blue/amber/red commander needed”. A mesmer joins, asura. Leaves party, my LFG is erased.

In the meantime Red gets take “by the Pact”, we have done our first defense in Indigo, being the only commander on the map, I have 2-3 people around me now. “Can anyone tag up for other forts?”

Blue and Amber still untaken, Red does it’s first defense, we have done our second defense at Indigo. LFG time. “3 commanders needed for SW please”. A bit tricky, I didn’t use % this time. No one joins. I re-edit the LFG to SW 15% cause I am starting to be lazy about it, and I don’t want to type the same sentence over and over. Surprisingly, a group of 4 joins instantly on me. My LFG is erased. All taxi in, all are at map entrance. They linger around a minute in my party, before they start leaving. They are still at the entrance, none moving.

Indigo and Red progresses, we are 35%. Someone took amber in the meantime. Blue is still being ravaged by mordrem. I open LFG, type “35% – 3 commanders please”. In no time, my party fills up, they taxi in, leave party whitout a word. I reopen LFG – “SW – need 3 more comms 40%”. Party is full, they leave. “SW 40% – 3 comms needed”. I get supressed.

For the next 5 minutes, the map progresses silently, blue gets taken, map is at 60% when I can speak again. I don’t even care about commanders anymore. I open LFG – SW 60%. A group of 3 join me this time, and a 4th random guy. All of them taxi in. Someone is requesting a kick for the 4th random guy. It is confirmed. Soon after, I get kicked from my party.

Map is at 70%, thankfully I cannot LFG in any more people. I try one last time in map chat: "From the 40-50 people that I taxied in with “commander needed” anyone willing to tag up?" To my surprise, I actually get a response: “this is chestfarm map noob”. A guy actually tags up for Red soon after. I thank him in map chat: thanks for pitching in.

80%. Map is full, yet I still got the same 3-4 people at Indigo as in the beginning. And we just lost Blue to the mordrem. 80% indicates that I should get my copypastes ready, that I have on a notepad. I paste in the tactics for indigo: “Indigo Breach Boss: 1. Please DON’T kill Poison bubbles, only when bosses are near it, they stun the boss, 2. Use RANGED when the two bosses meet, you’ll die melee, 3. Try to focus one boss at a time!”
I paste in the tactics for red: "Red Breach Boss: Feel free to use AoE! “No AoE at red” is a myth, it’s not true. The small husks only give it regeneration. Use poison and give it all you got!"
As usual 1 guy in map chat goes “lol no aoe at red”. I try explaining: “the small husks don’t matter, it’s only regen, and you lose more DPS if you just spam 1”. Another guy goes: “bubbles heal it”. “true, but bubbles pop anyway after time, you just have to kite it away”. First guy again: “LOL NO AOE RED!!!”

I calculate. Amber defense should have about a 2 minutes timer, so breach in 2 minutes. Map chat: “breach ~2 mins”. In my mind this makes the AFK guys at spawn move, but that maybe just happening in my head, what I do notice is that people actually arrive at my fort, indigo.

I bought my tag mostly for PvE.

I use it in 3 situations mostly:

1. Guild missions – it’s easier to coordinate people when chasing a target (guild bounty), I just tell them to go to my tag on the map
2. Harder group events – Much easier to clear tactics on Grenth, Balthazar and friends
3. New contetnt – people are often lost in new content – after I get the basics I tend to lead people who are lost

So I’m not fond of the idea that it should be disabled automaticly. It would be nice if you could turn it off manually though – I’m not sure how that could be implemented.

Mesmers left out since chapter 5.

Hi!

I tought it would be nice to have a topic about future bosses that may be implemented in the future, or for Arenanet to draw ideas from.
With that said, here are 3 of my ideas for future bosses:

1. Boss that throws out yellow pick-up objects that harm you

Much like the guild bounty boss Big Mayana. He throws out pick-up object that harm you when you go near them (burning, poison, bleed). He does this every now and then, and at every 25% he throws out like 10. The objects stay there until they are picked up and destroyed by the players. Preferably in a closed area to make it intense.

2. Boss with closing walls

As you are killing the boss, walls are closing on you, and will crush you, unless you preform a specific action with teammates or objects (stones). Like standing on pressure plates, or activiating switches at once, or in a (changing) pattern. Boss doesnt care if he’s crushed too, becouse he’s insane, or an ooze.

3. Boss with collapsing floors

Something like the end of the JP (some lab – Vexa or Dexa?, can’t remeber) in Firehearth Rise. At first, you start out on a large amount of space, but as the battle progresses, the floor under you starts to collapse, and you have to go ever nearer to the boss, or face death below. Well not neceserally death, but some good punishment if you fall off. Important here is the have a good indication wich part of the floor is going to disappear.

Well that’s here for starters, if you have any ideas, post it here. Hopefully Anet will also stumple upon this thread.

Idea1:
Add an item for 150 gems called Deployable Corner. It would be a one use item, and places a corner in front of you, lasts 30 mins.

Uses:
PvE – Use it any dungeon or any open world boss to stack behind, thus removing any tactics or fight mechanics from any fight.

WvW – After having trolled your opponents for 1 hour with siege disablers, place your corners in a row at the gate to block all passage through it.

PvP – Pesky thief bothering you? Use 2-3 Deployable corners to trap him for the rest of the match. Guardians cn use it to trap themselves on an already captured point.

Idea2:
Add a Hacking report booster and an Exploiting report booster to the gemstore for 75 gems each. Lasts 30 minutes.

Effect: While under the effects of the boosters you get an extra option in the Report manu t report someone for hacking or exploiting (depends on booster).

Combine 2 Exploiting report boosters and 2 Hacking report boosters in the Mystic forge to gain a Griefing report booster.

Mesmers left out since chapter 5.

Okay, let’s go into a little detail here.

I will assume that OP is using the build posted in his signiature. Full zerk.

His suggestion is to make illus/clones immune to damage.

Wow. I mean, by god wow. Sure, why not, summon your 3 illusions then go /sleep in the corner.

Did you know that the downside of going full damage is low survivability? Did you also know that phantasms/clones inherit the caster stats? Does that explain why maybe your clones die such a horrible death?

Counter method#1: Don’t go full zerk. Never go full zerk man.
Counter method#2: Use traits that increase the health of clones/illusions (yes, trait change is free, try it)
Counter method #3: Use Signet of the something that increases illusions health

Don’t want to counter casue, by gawd, changing gear/traits for once is too hard? Rather roll with the tide?

Roll tide method#1: Summon phantasm, let phantasm attack, press f1
Roll tide method#2: Think and not spam. gasp Use your phantasms when they can actually do damage, and not while, for instance huge Aoe is up at champ Terragriff
Roll tide method#3: Actually gonna cheat here cause this yet again, needs trait swap. Get Debilating Dissipation so you even benefit, when your clones die, and are not shattered.

So hard.

Secret note: Every mesmer has access to shatter, you don’t need to be a “shatter mesmer”.

Releases every 2 weeks? I’m okay with that too unless the achievments require me to light 50 effigies:) – but I think Anet has listened to the feedback on those achies so it won’t be happening, which will just make the updates generally more fun.

[Suggestion] Small improvements for WvW

Hello!

I think that we agree that there is still room left for improvement in WvW. I don’t want to touch touchy subjects like PPT, nightcapping, GvGs or balance. I would like to add some of my ideas (and some stolen from other people) for the small things, that would (at least I think) make WvW a bit better.

I have posted some of my ideas before, so if you are a veteran, you may have seen some of them, I reworked them mostly and added a lot on top of them. It’s a long read, so please take your time before bashing it. I hope you enjoy, and add your own toughts, comments! Let’s begin:

New masteries part 1:

1. Supply carrier mastery – 5 levels at max, every level for 20 ability points, all levels do the same thing:

- You can place 1 supply in keeps, towers, SM for every 2 supply you have (So at max level you can carry 5 supplies to a tower/keep for 10 supplies)

2. Salvage mastery – 5 levels – every level for around 15 points

lv1 – You now have a chance of gaining 1 supply on stomp kills (only works if you were the one who finished it)
lv2 – You can no dismantle siege you (and only you) placed – you get a fixed amount of 5 supplies back
lv3 – You can now take 1 supply from enemy supply stacks (supply huts) with a 1 min cooldown
lv4 – You can now convert enemy rams and arrow carts to your side after 20 secs of uninterrupdetd channeling
lv5 – You can now convert any enemy siege

3. Golem mastery revamped

I think the bonus health/toughness and the bonus power/prec was not the things golems needed. They were overpowered already. So instead of adding stats to it, add more utility and puposefullness. So:

Instead of bonus power/prec: The Siege Golems spin attack (Whirling Assault) now detects enemies on your minimap within 2000 range (not stealthed ones) and displays them as red dots

Instead of bonus toughness/vitality: The Siege Golems pull attack (Pull) now repairs walls and gates whitout using supplies. 1 Pull equals 1 supply spent. (Variant: The Pull skill now repairs walls and gates – repairs double the amount you would repair with your repair mastery for the same amount of supply).

4. Defence mastery – 6 levels

lv1 – (5 points) you build Burning oil, Mortars, and Cannons faster
lv2 – (10 points) while moving inside a keep/tower you run 10% faster
lv3 – (15 points) gain 3 stacks of might, when a friendly NPC dies near you
lv4 – (15 points) while near a lord you gain the commander’s presence buff
lv5 – (25 points) 10% cooldown reduction on all siege that are inside a friendly keep/tower

Seriously though, when a personal story step has a Kodan tell me, “Yo, that Dredge is messing up the balance and stuff because mining is bad, ya’ know? Go murder him and maybe I’ll tell you about your horn,” and my response is basically, “On it, boss!” Gotta wonder how heroic we really are.

But seriously. Since the last reset (2014. 08. 15.) WvW is near unplayable. Lag spikes every 5 minutes in EB (not just for me, my whole team at once). On borderlands it’s a bit better, but it’ still there, only every hour or so.

Seems to be a random regional issue if that makes sense. Since our members are from multiple countries, only a select few from the same region are lagging. But the region varies. It’s like a group lottery. Which 5 people will crash next?

Well, I’m a dirty achievment hunter. Shame or not, I am. I think of achievments as challanges, thus face them, even the most boring ones, and try to complete them. However there are some of them, that are just over the top, and are doing more harm than good to the game (imo) and my mental health.

Think previosly of Burning 50 effigies (Dragon bash) or the still not fixed WvW achieivements (might do a different thread on that).

Well with that introduction let’s see what I have a gripe with.

Recently Collection achievments have been introduced, for dungeon sets as well. And that’s fine and dandy, why not award players for completing the whole set. But did anyone bother to calculate how much tokens, time, and effort this takes?

I did. For a total set, you need 9990 tokens. 9990. Neunundneunzig luftballons. For an average dungoen run, you are gonna get 60 tokens + 9 from bosses, so that’s 69 tokens. that means you gotta run the same dungoen 145 times to complete it. A total 1160 runs for all the dungeons. Most people in most dungeons don’t even run all paths, cause some take twice as long as others, but even if you ran all 3, that’s still 48 runs each path.

Do you think that’s enough? It’s like a torture, repeating the same old boring content over and over and over and over again, until your brain starts to melt, and drips out your ear.

My suggestion(s) would be the following:

- Suggestion 1: Simply up the dungeon token rewards by around 20 – this would reduce the number of times needed to run to 113 (for 1 dungoen). Still awful, but a bit better.

- Suggestion 2: Up the dungeon tokens you recieve from bosses in pouches* – they always have 3 tokens isnide, could be 3 + 1 to 5 randomly. By the way what’s even the point of having these, why not just give the tokens whitout the pouches?

- Suggestion 3: Add extra things that rewards you with more tokens. For instance, slaying every champion on AC paths (including troll) awards you with +20 tokens at the end, or completing AC paths under 10 minutes gives you extra 10 tokens, or no one downing at the last boss gives you +5 tokens, or doing Giganticus Lupicus on the first try gives you +5 tokens. Something unique for each dungoen. This could be done in the same manner as Dry Top is at the moment – Bonus if xy is completed/not lost etc..

- Suggestion 4: At the end of the dungeons, you could choose if instead of the gold reward you would prefer token rewards: for every 50 silvers worth of money, you could choose 10 tokens instead. Eg.: at the end of CoF p1 you could choose +20 tokens instead of the 1 g.

Well. That’s about it. I can already see the counterarguments coming, so let me eliminate some of them in advance.

Counterarguments by Angry Forum Members:

AFM: It’s an achievment. You should suffer for trying to do it.
Me: No you shouldn’t. There is a difference between reasonable, and just plain boring, frustrating. After your 40th run on the same path you just want to quit the game alltogether.

AFM: You have OCD you don’t have to do achievments.
Me: After 2 and a half years in game, there is nothing else left to do.

AFM: Well, you are a scrub. Just go PvP and get the rewards man, dude, daddi-o, 1v1 me.
Me: Yes, I could do that. But: 1. There is only 1 dungeon track available at any given time (for what reason?). 2. Doing a full track is ~50 matches (so I’m probably better off just doing the dungeon). 3. Probably a good precentage of PvE players will never set foot in PvP.

AFM: Well your lazy, pathetic, weak, milquetoast suggestion will just let everyone get exotics quickly.
Me: Yes. And does it matter? I mean it costs like what, 10 g for a full exo gear? You can farm that under 2 hours anyway.

AFM: Well I don’t care. I did PvP before wardrobe, and thus I have most things unlocked, I’m done with 5 dungoen collections already. So “hah!” in your face!
Me: Good for you. Now think of the people that weren’t so lucky. Now think of new players.

I think that about covers it. Thank you for taking time to read.

With the forums ever-so cluttered up, especially so with the elimination of a lot of topics suggestions, which generally give pretty decent ideas and/or feedback get buried in “General Discussion” whithin minutes.

I think it would be high time to bring the old thread-cluster back, which was a valuable resource for both devs and players.

Not to mention you can’t even name your thread properly as you have to type [Suggestion] in front of it every time, thus decreasing your character limit.

“Ideas are like cream, good ones rise to the top” – except when you put them in everyone’s dump.

Stuff that’s too long to qoute…

1. If I accept it for what it is, I won’t buy it. Currently there is little to no appeal in HoT. That is what people are asking for. If you don’t have anything you can hype with that’s pretty bad, and that seems to be the case.

2. Cool link. And that’s exactly the problem. Releasing info that only PvP-ers may care about, and most likely even from them only a low percentage does. Sorry, but if you set the hype train rolling with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxLkfXwxLTs , then don’t be surprised if your fans are gonna be dissapointed in such articles as you linked.

3. Not sure what an Air Jordan is, not really a thing where I live, but I’m guessing it’s shoes. I’m pretty sure tho, if you go out and say to people: “Hey these shoes/game coming out whenever is average or maybe even sub-par, buy ’em!” it’s not gonna work too well, and you are not gonna get peole hyped (again, you are creating the hype, it doesn’t matter if they bite or not).

What Anet did was:
- Annnounce shoes to be super, awesometastic
- Said wait for details
- Sloooooooooowly announced that it has a front
- And it has shoelaces
- And you can wear it
- On your foot
- It also has a back
- Wait for details
- …

I’m no marketing genius, but I feel it’s high time to remind your “fans” why your product is worth buying.

You guys — SAB is coming back. Colin said it. It’s true. This is positive and definite and no I don’t have a date and I know you’d like to have one but that’s not possible but… it’s coming back. Posts that proclaim it’s not coming are not just wrong — they’re dead wrong. Posts that express upset about the coin — while I understand them — will be moot when SAB returns. Which will happen.

All I can say is keep your chin up, because it’s going to happen.

But will there be a GW2 by that time to support it?

Even if this egocentric view was how I was capable of feeling, I wouldn’t admit it in public.

You should though. You should be clear about how you feel about things and say them out loud / write them down. Feeling how you think you should feel and not feelling how you feel is not a healthy thing.

People are just more sensitive about things happening nearer, and those that are visible, feasable.

There is nothing egocentric about not feeling too bad for tragedies in other parts of the world, if you would do, you would get depressed, and wallow in sorrow for all of your life. You simply cannot feel bad for every starving child in the world, for every human/animal suffering in cancer, or everyone wh is currently fighting a war and dying. Every few seconds, some dies in the world.

Take my advice.

Achievments

Make WvW a place people would like to visit, even if for nothing else, to get some Achievment Points. Get the daily WvW achies out of the current dailies (or not), and add a weekly version of them. They could be the same every week, just keep resetting them at every new matchup. Have like 10-12 of them, all for 1-2 APs.

Example of realisticly doable achies each week (feel free to add any or take away):

- Kill 50 players (2 AP)
- Take 20 sentries (1 AP)
- Take 15 camps (1AP)
- Take 10 towers (1AP)
- Take 5 keeps (1 AP)
- Take 1 SM (1 AP)
- Repair more than 100 points of damage to a structure (1 AP)
- Defend any 25 objectives (2 AP)
- Use any 5 traps (1 AP) – And I don’t mean deploy, they should actually be set off by the enemy
- Ress 20 people in WvW (1 AP)
- Build 5 Keep/Tower siege (1 AP)
- Take any 5 objectives while the outnumbered buff is up (2 AP)

That’s 14 APs total for al achies done. That’s about the same amount you get from the WvW based dailies anyway. What this would do is let people get things done at their on pace and all troughout the week.

Also could add a Weekly chest for doing all of them containing:

- 1 Liquid WXP of 1 Rank or ½ rank (no idea what’s it called)
- 5 pieces of random siege (trebs, golems and superior siege is less likely)
- 1 guaranteed rare item (or better)
- 20 Badges of Honor
- Bonus: Themed items (like 5 trick-or-treat bags, dragon coffers, etc. during festivals/Living Story events)

It gives players a sense of completion, and something to work towards to, both veteran and newcomers. Also culd attract more people to actually try out WvW. The seasonal stuff in the weekly chest could get WvW-ers to get a taste of LS as well.

“Hey! Don’t play the game, just throw money at the screen, so it looks like you played the game!” Fun times.

There should be a game where there is only a black screen, with just numbers and player names on it. The numbers increase whenever someone pays irl money for the game (you can do that anytime). The highest number wins.

Edit: Or wait. There is not even a “win” condition needed. The numbers are enough.

I think Anet should remove WvW.

There are wars going on in lots of places in the world, yet Anet is insensitive about them. And WvW represents war as we know it.

Then again, people kill eachother for money on the streets daily. Thus PvP should be removed. Killing other players for points? How rude.

And then there are poachers. So killing wildlife disgusts me. Remove PvE.

I do not think the Confirmation box itself is the problem.

I find unequippping the salvage kit automatically after every confirmation a lot more annoying.

Press Mystic Salavage Kit -> Click -> Scroll down to rares -> Click -> “Are you sure?” -> Scroll up to Mystic Salavage Kit -> Click -> Scroll down to rares… and so on.

And no, I am not rolling around in rares. I just cba to salvage them, so they rack up after a while.

Same reason why I have 1000+ scrolls of knowledge, who knows how many luck, and 2.5+ mil karma lying around. QoL update please?
