Too much time between LS 2 and HoT.

I have not logged in for 3-4 months now, cause there was nothing to do. I explored new LA, did Karka hunt, and that was it.

Now with HoT coming out in 1 month, I’m not sure I want to return.

Hi guys and Anet Whiteside Ridge (EU) here.

I think the best that we got Teq down to was 80%. It wiped our server, killed me a dozen of times, made people rage quit.

It also made our sevrer organize, use tactics, actually listen to commanders, and fight with such commitment as never before.

So a really good job there! I won’t give up until he is defeated, and I know many others on my server who are thinking the same.

I meant the omnomberry-bars. . . hmmm. Right-click to use 250? That would be even more amazing!!!
I definitely need the additional adrenaline-rush, when my mouse cursor is over a stack of something worthy in my inventory. That would be a better feeling than bungee-jumping.

Does this really needs to be explained in detail?

Oh well, here it goes:

You open your inventory (default key I) or use the Hero panel (default key H). You see a display of items here. Some of them has a one time use, some of them are permanent. You can have multiple stacks of the same item.
What the OP suggests and what I full heartedly agree with is:

That when you have an item of multiple stacks, say like 250 drops of liquid karma or 250 orrian jewelry boxes, you can use them at once. The mechanic is like this:

You press right click on them. Thus a menu appears, like it has been since beta. The menu has the following options: Use / Deposit to collectibles / Destroy / Use all. The action takes place, when you hover your cursor over the corresponding action and press left click, to confirm that action.

I even stated, becouse I know people tend to make mistakes, that there even should be a pop-up window, that asks for your confirmation when you want to use all the items. Just like when you want to destroy items.

Is this idea hard to comprehend? I still stand by my point, that it isn’t. And it’s just a guess that it shouldn’t be so hard to implement either.

Note: even with the pop-up window, this would reduce the clicking on the mouse by 497 times (if we are talking about a 250 stack) not to mention the time spent doing this.

Of course fixing a program this complex takes time. People say Anet doesn’t communicate and when they do, people heckle the communication. I don’t know why Anet should talk at all with reactions like this.

As develpoing 3 legendaries took 2 years, not to mention forum search or bar brawl.

I dunno, it’s the same amount of cheesy as tv series like Stargate. Captain Jack O’neill is always cheesy, not matter what.

Of course in contrast such series usually also have very dramatic moments. I feel there could be a little more drama in any of the dramatic scenes in the personal story. Or at least a better build up to it. (so many NPCs in the personal story that die dramatically while you think, I just met them, how stupid)

This is off topic but:

I agree with you 100% on the personal story. Dunno wich race you did, and what choices you made, but mine was like: – Oh hai large Norn woman who I just met, oh wait, you are already dead.

And that happened like 5 times. I don’t even remember there names, when thy departed, I was like: meh – who cares.

Server merging

Bubi.7942

Underworld was at rock bottom 8 months ago. Now it’s semi competitive I believe. Either take up initiative yourself, or convince higher tier guilds to transfer to your server for easy bronze wins.

WSR here, and I can confirm. UW had 20 people tops (on all maps together) back then, most of the time their WvW was completely abandoned.
Now they can muster up a pretty good force if needed (especially on home border) and their individual skills (read: roamers) have gotten better as well.

Same with us tbh, but we managed to get up from 26th place and we are currently winning t8 (there’s 9 tiers in EU).

I for one am against server merge (unless they decide to disband the top 3 servers, cause that would be hilarious).

Crate drop rate nerfed?

in Last Stand at Southsun

Posted by: Bubi.7942

Bubi.7942

Alright. So.

A few tips and notes:

- I’ve been farming since day 1. Got around 40 crates so far. 15 still unopened, waiting for the 28th of May to open them (for the mini reef rider).
With this said, here are a few tips:

1. Know how MF works. According to the Wiki, MF DOES NOT increase the drop rate. MF increases the quality of the loot (ie.: t6 mats, rares, crates, etc.). What does this mean? It means you will get better drops with more mob density. You should also be aware that Mf only works on mob drops and nothing else.

2. At the instigator events, the settlers DO HAVE drops. They can only drop rare items however (crates are also rare items). Tag as many as you can.

3. Use AoE, tag mobs. It’s great that you can solo a Veteran karka. I love it too. However, that will not improve your loot. Tag mobs, all of them. Use AoE skills on large group of mobs.

4. Search for farming routes. There are many. There are severel posted here even on the forums, just search for them (I can’t post here mine, as I have promised the guy who showed me not to). Non-event farming routes have larger mob density, thus more chances of you getting crates. Try this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/southsun/How-I-farm-Southsun-Crates/first#post2083037

5. Do not farm in one place for too long, or better yet, on the same map for too long! Farm at most for 1,5 hours (better if 1 hours). Go elsewhee after that. This was mentioned many time above this post. DR (diminishing returns) will kick your kitten if you do not.

6. Use additional MF. Atop the +200% Mf boost, you are free to use additional MF from gear, banner,s bonfires, bossters, nourishment, etc..

I hope that helps!

And as for a little motivation:
Using the above posted tips, 1 hour of farming gets around 1-2 crates. (Sometimes even more, but 1 is a minimum).

Silverwastes vs Dry Top - Rewards done better

Bubi.7942

I hope you took time to read the above 2 posts or at leaast skimmed trough before dissing them.

For the issues raised in the above posts, there are several solutions, let me post some of mine:

Solution for issue #1:
Add more variety. Cooking recipes (like in DT), some SW specific skins, exchnage for coin bags, exchanage for lodestones, new rune set, shovels, something.. Anything that gets you to keep coming back for more.

Solution for issue #2:
Remove the bandit crests completly from the chests or increase key price. Slightly increase rewards, like: add 1 green (or chance for better) to chests instead.

Solution for issue #3:
Add special organs on top of the collectibles. You have a low chance (5-10%) to get these when extracting. Throw all special organs (4 kind) into the mystic forge to get a mini Mordrem Terragriff.
Or.
Add special organs. You can feed special organs to Mawdrey II to get 1 fixed rare (or better)
Or.
Add special organs. You can use special organs when you have food on (eat it). Your current food will last 2 hours (like at metabolic primer).
Or.
Something else.

Solution for issue #4:
Add special stuff to chest, make it exciting to open tham, not a chore. Have a chance at SW exclusives, like Sinister exotic accessories, or a new glove out of 2-3-4 pieces (like the sand mask thing). Give us something to look for (also make it tradable so if you already have it, it will still be cool to find it).

Solution for issue #5:
Add a mini tied to the legenderies (like in DT).
Or.
Add increased rewards for slaying one (moar loot).
Or.
Somehting. Make it an event that is awaited in the long run as well, not just for the 1x titles.

Solution for issue #6:
Remove copper price, increase Bandit crest price to make stuff feel more of a reward. Of course not for all items, just for Sandy bags and Material bags, others are fine imo.

What exactly is the end game content, and how do all you find it fun? Because farming for gear when it’s acquisition won’t be noticeable in these large end game events really makes me think twice about finding gw2 exciting

I can recommend 2 things:

- Try Fractals of the Mists, and see how far you can rack up your FotM levels (max is 50 atm). Those get progressively harder to test your abilities.

- Try regular WvW. What you described of EotM is pretty accurate, a giant blob running around killing NPCs, occasionally an 50 v 5 fight. Regular WvW is more about PvP, and the toughest challenge you can get is always an enemy player

I never said it was too hard or easy, just horrible. I mean what are the invulnerable disco balls for? What connection or purpose do they server in the scheme of things and the story itself, other than to annoy and frustrate you? I have never seen those things before until this update.

But yea, most of this thread has turned into a competition among opportunists looking to show us how good they are and how easy it was for them, while putting down everyone who dare say anything different.

Except that your first post reeks of qq and l2p issues. Just re-read it please.

Hm…

I have noticed this in previous posts, and I may get the wrong impression but I can’t help but feel that speedrunners think that non-speedrunners want to nerf zerker cause they are jelous of their super fast times, and want to also do that?

I dunno about others, but I’m sure I don’t. If that’s what floats others boat, let them do it. I do not care if my team beats a boss under 5 mins, while a speedrunner team does it under 30 secs.

The gripe I have is that zerker stat is way forgiving, the damage boost you get from it is not on par with the risk you take up by wearing it. It doesn’t become a glass cannon, just a cannon.

And I blame easy dungeons and cheese player tactics for that.

[Question] The State of low bronze league

in WvW

Posted by: Bubi.7942

Bubi.7942

I have never been on a higher tier server, my home was WSR since ever (except for the first month when I started). With that said I “imagine” 3 main differences in the “meta”.

Firstly: because we generally have less people than silver or gold league, smaller guild groups are the norm. A Guild group of 15 is perfectly fine to do everything. That means that you can’t really afford people to be in the sniper/gank team however -> but since there are not many people, othe servers don’t really have them either, so there’s no one to “gank”. Generally Guards, Warriors and other melee train classes are always welcome.

The second difference being that small roaming groups make A LOT of difference. Even solo you can flip a few camps, if you are lucky maybe you can even flip a paper tower. A small group of 4-5 can cause a lot of dread in the borderlands.

The third thing is being a “family” like server (at least here, but I imagine the same for our bronze server fellows). I know the 95% of the people that I meet in WvW and who talk on map chat. It really is kinda personal (with all the up- and downsides of that).

Simply ways how Anet could improve very effectively the willingless of alot of people to revive other players constantly:

Improve the Reviving Achievement No One Left Behind, beause just reviving 1000 times is just ridiculously fast done.
The Achievement could get so easily improved, giving people more visual rewards for reviving really alot of people over the years to come.

As if something like “Combat Healer” would be already the absolute most epid thing you could call someone, who has revived so many persons, that it would take ages to recount them all to the exact number after several years of playign the game.

That achievement should get improved so something like this:

Combat Healer (Kampfheiler) = 1000 Revives = 25 AP (in total, its 5 AP per Rank to 1000 revives with 5 ranks)
War Cleric (Kriegskleriker)= 5000 Revives = 50 AP (from here on increase the Ap you get per higher ranks, 10 AP per Rank)
Life Saver (Lebensretter)= 15000 Revives = 100 AP , 20 AP per Rank
Blood Saint (Blutheiliger)= 25000 Revives = 125 AP, 25 AP per Rank
Angelic Saviour (Engelshafter Erlöser)= 50000 Revives = 150 AP, 30 AP per Rank
Fate Breaker (Schicksalsbrecher)= 75000 Revives = 175 Ap, 35 AP per Rank
Celestial Entity (Himmlisches Wesen) = 100000 Revives = 200 AP, 40 AP per Rank

Every 100 revives from that point on should reward players with a special shiny celestial winged chest, that will reward players with items like T6 Materials, Lode Stones, Ecto Plasm Globs, Dark Matter or Crafting Materials like Elonian Leather, Damask or Mithrillium. This way will feel reviving players alot more rewarding, to the point, that players will be incentivised to take willingly the risk of maybe dieing at the try to revive someone, because it could be just that one revive needed next to get such a chest reward, if you already have maxed the title ranks out to the new maximum.

Achievement Hunters woudl be the very first, that would go for this for sure, if you get on they way also some nice AP boosts.
—-

Another way to give players more reasons to go for reviving players would be to implement a new “Supporter Level” into the Game as a Game System, which is basically a Rank System that works similar like the WvW Rank System, just not with so extremely high ranks to the 10000, lets say maxes at at Level 20 for now and everytime you rank up in the Supporter Level, you unlock for your Account various different optical things like this:

Gain Supporter Level 1 = Unlocks for your Account the Combat Healer Outfit/Title
SL 2 = Improves your Healing Power when you revive someone by 5% in PvE
SL 3 = Unlocks for your Account the War Cleric Outfit/Title
SL 4 = Improves your Healing Power when you revive someone by 5% in PvE
SL 5 = Unlocks for your Account the Life Saver Outfit/Title
SL 6 = Improves your Healing Power when you revive someone by 5% in PvE
SL 7 = Unlocks for your Account the Blood Saint Outfit/Title
SL 8 = Improves your Healing Power when you revive someone by 10% in PvE
SL 9 = Unlocks for your Account the Angelic Saviour Outfit/Title
SL 10 = Reduces Damage that you receive in PvE while reviving by 5%
SL 11 = Unlocks for your Account the Fate Breaker Outfit/Title
SL 12 = Reduces Damage that you receive in PvE while reviving by 5%
SL 13 = Unlocks for your account the Celestial Entity Outfit/Title
SL 14 =Reduces Damage that you receive in PvE while reviving by 5%
SL 15 = Adds an holy Aura around you while you revive in PvE, that protects for 3s from all Conditions
SL 16 = Reduces Damage that you receive in PvE while reviving by 10%
SL 17 = The Duration of the Holy Aura gets increased to 5s for PvE Revives
SL 18 = You receive now a moderate Healing after you finish with reviving in PvE
SL 19 = You gain Stability and Aegis for 3s after a Revive has been completed from now on in PvE
SL 20 = Gain the Outfit/Title “Hope of the Doomed” (Hoffnung der Totgeweihten)

Ah, how innocent. Would look good on paper.

But what would happen is parties of 5 go to Fractals of the Mists lobby, jump off and ress eachother all day to max out AP/Rank.

When does this actually end?

Hello!

Yes, you can do every event of the Living Story that came out to this point, but hurry up, becouse it will be over in 2 weeks!

As for the dungeon:
When you enter, you will be auto-leveled up to 80, but your gear will stay the same, so you have a disadvantage compared to ‘real’ lv80s.
I recommend leveling up a bit (like to 30), then searching for a nice group of players.

In my groups I already had an lv34, and lv52, and we did the dungeon with no problems (few deaths included of course).

How I farm Southsun Crates

in Last Stand at Southsun

Posted by: Bubi.7942

Bubi.7942

Hi!

I use a completly different method. My method got me 6 crates in under 3 hours yesterday. I’ll explain in the following:

First off, I like to do events, i enjoy them basicly, and getting the extra influence for my small guild is a bonus for me, with that said let’s begin:

I start at Kiel outpost waypoint, doing the riot. After the riot i done, I go and see if an event is up at the Kiel camp itself. If yes -> do it. If not -> go on the shores west of here and kill some young karkas.
Once on the shore, go north and find Leila, she will start an escort mission that wil spawn a LOT of young karkas (given you are traveling in a small group). Do the escort mission, you will end up in the Springs.
See if Crazed event and Riot are up (it should be by the time you get here). Do the events.
After you are done, head back to Kiel outpost. By the time you get back, Riot should be up again.
Rinse and reapeat the process.

This seems like a perfectly normal event farming tour. I would like to add one VERY important thing. Popular belief has it, that the mobs that spawn on riots don’t have loot. That is NOT TRUE. They DO have loot, but can ONLY DROP CONSORTIUM CRATES.
So what I recommend is: Get to the event when it starts, pull as many mobs as you can, tag them all with some AoE. My experience is, that you will find a crate in every 5-6 riot events.

Well that’s my way.

(Sidenote: I also recommend starting the Lionguard escort event, just start it, kill the reef drakes at the start, then leave it, someone is bound to finikitten).

[Suggestion] Legendary weapon updates

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Bubi.7942

Bubi.7942

Disclaimer:
I do not own a legendary nor desire to aquire one in the near future, even tough I have the resources and everything crafted ready for it.

Topic:
So with Legendaries 2.0 promised to come 1+ year ago and still not being out, and seeing the same ones on tons of people, these items I think have lost a lot of appeal they might have had earlier on. Also, a lot of the normal weapons/gemstore stuff simply look a lot better.

Well, here is a small idea on what can be done about them, to make the invested time/effort more rewarding for players who want to “show off” a bit more (cause let’s face it, that’s all they are good for):

Suggestions:
1. Add selectable unique footfall effects for each Legendary
2. Add selectable unique colors/special effects to each Legendary
3. Add selectable unique soundeffects to each Legendary

Elaboration:
This could be done via the Collection achievment thing. For instance each Legendary could have 5 different visual effects, 5 different footfall effects and 2-3 different sound effects, which you ould select and apply to your weaqpon, if you own the specific types of effects. This would let people uniquely customize their weapons and not just be like, “oh, another eternity… gz i guess”. This could be done from the Hero panel either from under wardrobe or a new menu point.
Previously acquied Legendaries would of course unlock the Footfall/Visual/Soundeffect they already have.

Costs:
Of course eahc of the effects would be super pricey hard to get. Some could be tied to doing scavanger hunts (thikn Mawdrey), and some to putting in insane amount of gold (eg.: Dump 250 kitten, t3, t4, t5, t6 Bloods in Mystic toilet to get Blood footfall effect for your Thingamajig).

Example:
Charrlemagne the Fuzzybutted decides that he is bored of his Bolt. He decides to make Candy visual effect on it, for which he throws 84 billion Candy Corns and 3 asuras in the Mystic Forge. He applies Candy effect to his Bolt, and now it has a dripping Candy glaze effect on it. But that is not enough for our hero, he decides that he would like if his footfalls would be splattered quaggans, cause he is into that. So he throws 250 kitten Scales into the forge. He apllies Splattered Quaggan Footfall effect to his legendary and has dead quaggans in his wake now. He is satisfied with the audio effect however, and would not like to go for the “you-swinged” each time he swings Job-o-Tron effect.

Wasn’t this game supposed to be a fantasy setting of magic, gods and dragons. Now we’re running around with support tokens. I don’t really care about the two involved, both are just as one dimensional as the other.

I appreciate the frequency in which content is being released but its really stale stuff. Can’t we go on epic quests anymore? I really dislike the direction the writing is going.

The world is so beautiful, the winds of the Bazaar was amazing and the story should reflect that but it doesn’kittens BORING!!

The election is based around pirates.
Everything is permitted. (Nothing is true:P)
The Zephyrites harness the power of a frickin’ Dragon
Aetherblades are on the lose.

I’m sure this will be just another boring political event. Yep.

@TPMN
Wow, we are playing totally different games.

Fully with you here ODB for me:
Silverwastes – waste of space and dead (I never want to revisit the zone again – it’s too easy and too reliant on others who are often clueless eg aoe @copper is bad- this means you struggle pushing the ant up the mountain with a grain of rice).
Been there done it for the armor – have no desire to ever return.

SW is actually full all day and night, you not visiting it doesn’t mean it’s dead.

Also, not sure what you mean about Red. Are you saying AoE is a bad thing or a good thing?

DryTop- I do not want to mindlessly run about farming events for some geodes to get some weapons. All mini/drops from chests can be bought cheaply.

Fair enough. But be aware that DT is one of the best places to “get rich quick”.

“Challenging open world content”- no thank you. I don’t want to carry others or another 3hd wurm fiasco (TEQ is hardly a challenge after 2 yrs – I turn up at T-1min and org maps with high success ratios).
— awful RNG gating of loot is the only thing keeping people at these events (3HD) or high gold/karma (TEQ) as they need the karma after every other karma nerf.

Oh boy. Thanks for jumping in 1 min before start and carrying everyone, where would the people be whitout you?

Also, people are really needing karma? Has anyone ever had a karma shortage in GW2? Is that even possible?

WvW – it’s a lag fest: too unreliable and really not that much fun watching skills not fire off.

Try not zerging?

Dungeons/Fractals are the only thing keeping me in-game (after 3000+ hrs) as it allows training of new people actually how to play properly and be useful in as a team and understand synergy. If these items were not here – I would have left a long time ago (>7K hrs now).

This just baffles me. I don’t dare to type /age cause it would make me cry, but how can you find the same maybe 10 hours worth of total content entertaining for 3000+ hours? I’m really genuinly curios.

There is a grand total of 1 jump required. ONE. A single jump. Uno. Eins. Ichi. Egy. You people are crying and raging over 1 jump.

I am trying to restrain myself from saying anything bad.

The only place where you have to jump is at the very beginning.

Ps.: I am unable to turn left in the game. Please make content that doesn’t have left in it. Ty!

And for players, it’s time for SAB.

Is there a way to acquire the carapace leggings other than completing the story? I missed all of season 2 but have been playing in silverwastes and I now have every piece of armor except for the leggings. I have looked it up on wiki and they say it can be bought from the merchants for bandit crests but I checked all of the merchants and none of them have it. They all have shoulder, glove, boot and headgear. I have two coat boxes from killing the mordrem vinewrath, is there no way for me to get pants to go with them?

Nope, only from the story. Once you get the first one, the merchant will start selling it. So you can buy it with Crests, or redo the story on another character.

Edit: Remember you only need to unlock the right episode for it, which is Seeds of Truth I believe. 200 gems currently is roughly around 25g, which shouldn’t be a problem if you’ve been doing SW.

I would like if there would be more bodytypes added to the total makeover kits.

I would like fat norn, slim norn, not muscular norn. Same for other races. Is no one in Tyria fat? Come on! (yeah, I know it’s a lot of armor rework)

I just give up.

You are talking about an incosistent mess, yet you change the subject in each of your posts, contradict your self within them, selectively awnser to what you feel like, claim half-truths and just hide away facts. Nice.

“I’m relaying my experience. I don’t see how you would come to the conclusion that I was lying.” + “They then defeat these 5 bosses within the time limit, and are awarded with a key.”

- You said you are awarded with a Key. That is not true, the key is the bonus you get on top of the usual rewards

“The rewards of the defense is not under discussion”

Oh okay, then why the … fluffly little kitten did you bring it up? Was this part there for just show: “The whole map organizes itself, and defends the fortresses.
They then defeat these 5 bosses within the time limit, and are awarded with a key.”

For the rest of your post:
You get the buff for like 10 seconds (dunno exact, too lazy to Wiki it up), which is more than enough to get to midde (lie number 2), you also get to stun the flower dogs with the skill you get. You could also try no going to the middle when you enter, you got 12 mins to do it (or 13?).

Well that’s it for me. I’ll return when you start to make sense.

I find it awesome that this thread still stays alive.
Some how I fee that Anet just wants it to go away. My only questions is what will they not just open up SAB, since so many liked it?

Well for one there were plenty of people that disliked it as well, especially world 2.

It is also the matter of it simply not being a case of pushing a button and it will magically work.

They also don’t have the personnel available right now to do anything that is not related to HoT. that was their choice, whether or not it’s a good one, but it’s the choice they made. HoT or nothing. The only thing that will be worked on and come out before HoT is skill/trait changes, which are also directly related to HoT because of specializations.

And then HoT comes out in let’s say, by the end of August / early September. And as we all guessed, no SAB until HoT.

You can bet your kitten that there will be no LS updates or anything (maybe bugfix updates) for 1.5-2 months. There’s enough new content, be happy with that, so no SAB.

And then… oh, it’s Halloween! Fire up those Lunatic Inquis farming AFK engines for the Return of the Bloody Prince again, who we see for the first time for some reason. Again. SAB? Nope.

And then… It’s Wintersday month! I guess no SAB, eh?

And then, a month’s break. Everyone needs a break sometimes.

And then LS3 will probably start somewhere in 2016 February. And as we all know, SAB doesn’t fit in the LS.

So…

SAB in 2017 maybe?

Traps and tricks

We could use some new traps as well, and revamp the ’old’ ones. The siege disabler is utterly broken so I’ll begin with that.

Siege Disabler revamp:

It would work in the same manner it is working now, only:

1. After a siege has been hit with the disabler, it gets disabled.
2. You can repair your disabled siege with supplies, each piece of siege costs 1/10 of the original cost (eg.: so 4 supps for normal ram, 10 supps for treb, 15 for omaga)
3. After repair, your siege gets a buff, and cannot be disabled for the next 10 (maybe 15-20?) seconds

The attacking force probably has less and more limited supplies than the defending force, so eventually the attackers will run out of supps. But 1 guy holdinp up a group of 20 for half an hour is just BS.

For a new trap, here’s an idea:

Detector trap:

Same cost and everything as other traps. You place it, and when an enemy walks into it, it gives a signal on the minimap for everyone on the map (similar to party members pinging). After triggering has an 1500 (2000?) range.

What does the range do? Well, it counts how many people are in whithin it’s range and displays colored crossed swords (or any other icon) on the location after the ping for 5 second (or 10, whatever). White swords for 1 to 10 people. Blue for 11-20, Green for 21-30, etc.. Numbers can be varied.

Why would this be good? Scouts could finally leave their keep/less scouts would be needed, and they could actually participate in other stuff. You know, fun/rewarding stuff.

I’m just questioning why you’re basing the expansion content on the back of a box from a third-party source as opposed to the website of the actual company.

Cause the official website of the actual company says nothing about the content that I care for, which is:

- How many maps are there actually
- “Challenging new content” – shape, form, presentation, something

And I’m no marketing genius, but the first thing I would mention on that cover is “X new maps to explore!” or “X new dungeons” or “Introducing Raids!” – IF I had a decent number of maps/things to work with.

Of course, I am neither Anet’s marketing department, nor does this mean there will be a lack of content. But for me it certainly implies it.

Why do I suck?

Huh, such courage coming to these forums with that question

As others have mentioned:

- You need a good WvW build to do well – PvE builds don’t really do well against other players
- Energy sigils, and vigor boon restores endurance like crazy – also on mesmer well timed blurred frenzies help a lot
- You didn’t give specifics on what class you were fighting who had that heal, but judging from the description I assume guardian or ele – yeah they can do that

Some tips:

- travel in small groups for small objectives (camps, possibly towers)
- use the commander zerg (or your guild) for larger ones
- If you are running solo try to avoid fights with guys with Silver/Gold/Platinum ranks – they probably are very experienced guys
- Have patience, some places (like enemy keeps on EB) are very hard to get into

Ps.: I run a mesmer mainly in WvW, can send my build over (easy to use and powerful) if you need it. Send me a PM if interested. (for those wondering, it’s a power based PU)

Mesmers left out since chapter 5.

Sorry, I didn’t know people actually liked standing in the corner, and mashing 1. Oh wait, In this case, it’s not even mashing 1, it’s summoning 3 illusions and standing still to win.

Never mind adjusting to the game/challange, no lord, heaven forbid. Ask for nerf, ask for unkillable phantasms, sure.

You know what, I think Full Nomad Guard should get a damage buff, cause it takes him too long to kill bosses. Seems only reasonable, no?
