I heard some BLC weapons will be discontinued or unable to be claimed in a future date. What happens to those with specific holiday claim tickets or event tickets such as Dragon Jade tickets who haven’t decided a weapon yet? Do we have to use our event tickets before Anet wipe out old BLC skins?

It’s not just about making more sense. It’s about the feeling of progression you never really got before. A new person coming to this game from another MMO didn’t have a lot of bling in the leveling process.
So you know, your stats would go up every time you leveled, but nothing told you that happened. You used to be able to level without ever noticing. You can’t do that now. It always gives you something. There’s always something unlocking.
I’m guessing for a new player, it might be a bit more involving if nothing else.
And the speed to level to 15 has been dramatically increased, which doesn’t hurt me.

I don’t know anything about WOW.. I went from Ultima to life and then to gw2 + life.. So I have no idea about what WOW does. I personally don’t think a MMO really have an endgame content. tweaks aren’t really features.. tweaks are more of changes.

They fixed the rangers a bit, tweak some stuff and broke the rest is all I am hearing. But what makes this a feature patch?
I do agree all the new destiny edge characters feel like someones doll house fantasy friends. Even Brahm..
Dry top is one of the more unique maps that have a sense of depth to it. All other maps is just a fancy flatland. Dry top you can move up and down the map which gives a real sense of the place. With Aspects, we can see more maps with little hill top villages on high places, and deep fissures with ruins, and other interactables on them.
I wouldn’t say comedic, as the content itself isn’t. However it does have an air of.. an elementary play school skit by kids.
it just breaks the tension of the game, we are hunting down a deadly murderer and these two are just going on about how much they love each other. Anet sure know how to turn two potentially interesting characters into two obnoxious characters.
Except what you are saying simply isn’t true.
If you look at the dialogue from Cornered, the story instance where we are chasing the murderer you will see not a single piece of their dialogue is directed towards each other. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cornered#Dialogues
And from the other story instances we are looking at one brief conversation in Fallen Hopes which amounts to Marjory saying “I’m okay now so no need to worry about me” and a couple of lines of dialogue in the first instance where Kasmeer is being overly protective and offering to take Marjory’s watch. The word Love isn’t mentioned once that I can recall.
This is why a lot of people criticizing the Marjory/Kasmeer relationship are called homophobic because they rely on blatant misrepresentations of the storyline to prove their points, which is usually the tactics of those with ulterior motives.
It hasn’t gotten to the point of Morticia and Gomez from Adams family. However it may help to have some of the lines not too corny to help relieve our minds from guarding life threatening dialogues at any point and time. So we can focus on other parts of the story, where it matters.
I reckon, people feel like the 2 characters are constantly having both phone and eye sx. Due to traumatizing scenes with eye lid flickering (bad animation ) and scripts on par with nails on a chalkboard.
I think this journal idea can have a pretty negative effect on the community. Seems good to buy gems for lost living stories, to have permanent content is a long time desire.
However this might divide the player-base’s casual players and more active to hardcore players apart. Gw2 have many casual players and they don’t usually farm for money and they make gold at a much slower pace. Hardly making 1g an hour playing a few hours a day.
Grinding to get enough gems to buy a missed living story will take ages.. Not to mention multiple missed living story events due to real life situations. It would seem the upcoming changes and recent changes are alienating casual players and perhaps older players. There has been a forums post by age 30-70 players speaking up on how megaservers and recent patches are alienating them.
I believe journal idea for LS2 would further make this unenjoyable for casuals and more cater to farmers with lots of Gold to spend for gems.
Just because you have China servers now and multiple target audiences with vast cultural differences, doesn’t mean Anet shouldn’t try to accommodate to as many player bases as possible nor try to relieve some players for more hardcore/active players.

This means removing cooking as a craft? that might make some people who maxed cooking to rage. Perhaps finding another use would be better than outright removing it.
Because, instead of ninja nerfs, these are changes they want us to find “organically”. It’s their excuse for “forgetting” to include stuff in the patch notes.

10. Get RID OF THAT kitten ENGI HOBOSACK and replace turrets with racial specific skins.
This last one is more a plea, less lame, cheesy, and fake of badly done stories, characters, and plots.

To the OP, LS affecting WvW or not it affects all servers. So everyone have an equal amount of disadvantage which makes it fair. So I’m not sure why it matters too much.

When you try to hold the right mouse button to look around with gw2’s orientation, while on another software.
we had this long ago with tons of ppl banned. With Anet boasting about it in the earlier days. Remember the 30ppl militia of bearbow bots running around in queensdale. Killing moas and etc, before the anti farming system kicked in. Which kittened off a lot of people.

Long bows for guardians would be great.
Actually I love my shield and WoA. only gripe I have with it is that the WoA needs to last a second longer, and maybe knock back slightly farther OR slow ppl if they enter the field after knockback. I use it mainly to resist zergs and push the frontline to win fights, and has been working marvelously in WvW due to this. Saving people before using sanctuary, to push people off cliffs, to block burst projectiles, etc. ( generally to make space ).
This skill offers a lot in different situations with just a button ( or arguably 2 ). This skill is the only skill for guards that can actually push people out of RIng of warding or line of warding without them having stability.

I just want enough girth defense to soak up high dmging thief’s and warriors so we can fight fairly. with the same resource thieves and warirors has taken, to be purely dmg build. A full on defensive build should soak up enough dmg and do little dmg so they are even.
.. Why? I just want to be tankier. Without feeling a helpless need to increase dps. to be playing in the same level field.

lately I’ve seen a lot of gold spammers and hijackers. Some don’t even report it, cause they don’t know how. I hope security is working on fixing this massive violation of the game before it gets waay out of hand.
Actually this is what happening right now to my friend with our guild bank currently. It really doesn’t look good for restoring our stuff in our guild bank it seems. Something really should be done about security and restoring guild bank. unfortunately we are the paranoid kind and we do everything to prevent this and yet, it still happened.
Actually, for the mega-servers actually help make the community seem nicer. people heal more often, Talk, fool around, and general fun and helpful! Before there was a lot of negative pent up people strolling around pushing others down O_o.
I agree I had 3 spammed at me one after another after i said something in map chat at Gendarren… Most annoying thing was they spamm 3 -4 everytime I change characters and once every 10 -15min if your just on.
Since I first played I just report and block them. However it seems like they are swarming more every time I do that.
Is it just me or does the server randomly disconnects ? It doesn’t even seem lieka normal disconnect too. Just black screened with a sign disconnect from server but I can clearly hear the in game noises and surroundings still.

Oh I remember how GW was back in those days. It doesn’t have LS and Scarlets. Heck 136 years ago GW was anything and everything we wanted it to be.
I was highly excited on how you will be able to earn traits pre patch. However they all seem to just go to Arah and do some temple run to earn the same things for every class. It wasn’t as interactive as I hoped for.
I was thinking for example Amplify Wrath in guardians. I would Imagine we would need to kill some Ancient Drake with magical properties, and to learn the Amplify Wrath ( 33% increase in burn dmg ) we will need to stand in one of its flames for a duration to actually train and learn the arts. At least doing this will give a little bit of story to the skill, achievement, and interactivity. Instead of everyone go kill Arah gate event to learn something.
Where did the inspiration and passion go?
I am sure Anet posted yesturday that tomorrows patch will arrive a yesteryear late of next tuesday so you can be happily playing by the day after the 2nd day of the next leap year. So around.. 20min ish.

Many players will find this topic uneccesary, irrelevant, or a threat to your income because you make a kitten ton selling precursors you are lucky enough to forge but I don’t care. I have been playing GW2 since early access (I was in beta too, but that doesn’t count) and I have forged 1000s of weapons, done countless dungeons, WvW, and events without a single precursor drop.
I feel like my account has a hex on it, some quirk in the coding that prevents nice things from being added to my loot table and I’m tired of it. It’s time to end the nonsensical RNG where legendary precursors are concerned.
I feel for you and can relate as well with 5.3K hrs since early access(and BETAS as well), I can’t prove it but I believe there is an account RNG conspiracy. {:-þ -LOL
