I would love to see the Tracker for Daily Achievements unlinked from the Watch List.

I shouldn’t have to manually add daily achievements to my watchlist or remove my watch list to see what’s to do with daily achievements, even more so with the Living Season 3 Maps having all their own Daily Achievements.

Yes I agree here.

IMO it should not be removed entirely, have it go by a similar mechanic as the downed / rally where the keep lord revives with less hp everytime he gets revived by these means up to a point let’s say after 5-6 times in a row where it wont work anymore until the penalty has decayed after 4-5 minutes.

1) lack non targeted skills.
Many of our skills require a target which makes it for one a pain to fight someone with stealth, and also a pain to fight in zergs where targets run everywhere, out of range, or are downed (and invul for a few seconds) by the time we get to do something.
Some ground aoe with considerable damage would be welcome.

2)Clumsy mantra’s.
In a metagame where people throw around aoe cc and where burst damage is common, having a 2.75s channel skill that doesn’t even do anything by itself is just out of place. Especially combined with the fact that we don’t have access to stability in any reasonable way.

^ this pretty much aswell.
Tho for the 2nd point I find mantras (now) fine, that they are the only way to gain stabilitiy is abit … meh

for a own list

1. no possibilitiy of getting a passive 25% speed increase (be it a trait or a signet)
2. I think Mind Wrack should be a blast finisher

Mesmer build for wvw raids ?

I’m running a standard shatter build 20/20/0/0/30, I dont stand a chance in the zerg, but that is not my role. I get out of the trouble and hit from the side. You are right on chokepoints it may get abit difficult but that’s why I’m using full Soldiers armor with melandru runes along with zerkers trinkets. to increase my survivabilitiy i’m using might on dodge/endurance regen food.

However a way more survivable and utilitiy build is looking into mantras.

I’ve been testing around with mantras before the recent patch and found out I can build up my mesmer to a warrior level of survivability with just as much utilitiy to the group, even slightly better. It doesnt get any close to the damage warriors can deal, but with sword and staff i dont have issues tagging enough to get loot while still providing more stabilitiy and cleanse to the group than anyone else.

Hello,

with the addition of WXP I was wondering wether or not we’re going to get guild upgrades accordingly aswell.

My Suggestion:
+5% WXP Banner (Unlocked Economy I; Cost 50 Influence)

+5% WXP for 24 Hours (Unlocked Economy III Cost 500 Influence)

Those would be equal to their Exp counterpart.

In addition to those change the Higher Tier Banners aswell:
+10% Karma and +10% Experience Banner -> +10% Karma, +10% Experience and +10% WXP Banner

Guild Heroes Banner gains the +10 % WXP aswell.

not really, but i figured as they were the main reason for the massive increase in queues during week 1 and 2 due the achievement hunters, i add them to the list

edit: i was totally aware before that the reward will be crap, i didnt play for the reward either, i play wvw cause its fun. I just thought to take a moment and compare the rewards of 7 weeks meta achievements.

I didnt even finish all the WvW ones, only those that i could get with regular gameplay (exception Jps and ruins). finsihed the meta in week 5

I’ve got all the skins I desire already for the weapons I use on a regular basis.
for me it’s really just about the functionality and access to the infusion slots.

I also probably wouldn’t go for the Greatsword, more likely that i’d go for the Focus or Staff as they are more versatile for my Mesmer, especially since i prefer to play WvW.

I’m nowhere near making a Legendary, and reason is as I said before, that i dont fancy the skins to much, but if I can get the functionality of one along with my desired skin, i might start working towards one

Hello everyone,

I do not own a legendary and main reason for that is, i dont really fancy any of their skins, they just dont do it for me. However, the ability to change stats out of combat and adjust the weapon to your build without having multiples is amazing.

My Question now is, if let’s say I craft Twilight and then transmute the Vision of the Mists Skin on it, would I still be able to change the stats?

I feel sarcastic irony coming from this post. If I’m wrong then sorry. But it pretty much says “here are WvW badges for the PvE people!” As a response from a WvW player, “Where are my PvE dungeon tokens?”

Pretty funny. I worked to get my WvW badges for armor and I worked for my dungeon tokens for gear. So why should a PvE player work for their dungeon tokens but not have to work for WvW badges?

you pretty much nailed it. the 5k ach chest today gave me 500 badges, thats your gift of battle right there I didnt sum up all the badges in the chests up to here but I dont think there’s much to argue about, that you dont have to actually WvW (or run with the blob) to get the badges

Bay fight was quite boring, UW just hiding behind so many ACs. /yawn

Edit: Oh and try to spam less emotes, makes your server look very pathetic.

we can easily say the same about you with the superior AC defending your trebs or how about the fact you were triple our numbers you still built AC behind the inner wall you smashed open? i for one had fun and UW can easily say the same so stop your whining and enjoy the match up plz.

ps. in open field after your failed bay assault i think we shown you up without building any AC in open field.

You realise we were building the trebs to try and take down the what, 8-10 ACs you had in there? But yeah, you just want the “good fights” right?

as a matter of fact you guys had more AC guarding your trebs than we had anywhere, at least as long I was around there (2300 UTC+2). Still had a lot of fun, and those emotes were meant to get you guys to do something, was kinda boring to wait on the wall looking at you after you opend the wall for the gazillionst time :-P

Hello there,

i’ve started to pick up some footage from WvW fights every now and then and started rendering these for youtube uploads.

I’m recording at 1080p with 29,97 fps using fraps.
For editing and rendering i use Sony Vegas 12

Now to my problem. The rendered Video – mostly in battle sequences – blurs out. when I go back and look at the raw data, its all clear. While recording these big scale battles i dont drop below 10 fps.

as far as I know Sentinel’s gear is not available ingame at all right now, except for the pieces that are currently listed on the TP.

I think all that supply there came from drops out of the MF while there was no Receip only the finished insignias/insctiptions.

WvW API and Website Question

my guess by looking at it.
They read the information from the API every 15 minutes and save it into a database.

the API is basically a live-feed. If you want to review stuff from an earlier point, you need to set that up yourself and

so what do you need:
a database where you can save the information, the more details you want the larger the database will be.

Looking at them again, i’d assume a structure like this:
id (because you always use a id)
timestamp
green_score
blue_score
red_score
gw_camps (gw=green world)
gw_towers
gw_keeps
bw_camps (bw=blue world)
bw_towers
bw_keeps
rw_camps (rw=red world)
rw_towers
rw_keeps
eb_camps (eb=eternal battlegrounds)
eb_towers
eb_keeps
eb_sm

this would be all you need to store in a database to display it there.

next step would be the analysis of the API with a script, but at this point my knowledge ends, im not a coder, I can do database level stuff but not alot more than that, sadly ^^

but what would this script need to do?

First off, read the API the way you want, the first step would be letting the script figure out what color you are (unless you want to change the script every week) and what tier you’re in

so basically put a request to the https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wvw/matches.json and let it return you the match_id and the color of your server_id.

This way you gain access to the https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/external?l=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.guildwars2.com%2Fv1%2Fwvw%2Fmatch_details.json

the match_id will tell you what match you’re going to look at, the color will tell you what you need to sum it.

but as i said, for more advanced techniques i cannot help, i only know this stuff in theory :P

second step would be to take the sums of the variables and store them into the database. that can be done with php indeed.

But I do agree, this is one of the many issues the GW2 Guild System has, it is imo one of the worst i’ve seen in an MMORPG so far.

but on a side note, if people aren’t active (im now talking about people not logging for 2+ weeks of sudden disappearance), they dont need to take a slot in a guild anyways :P

That is also misleading, nobody(or very few people) is going to be spamming the suggestions section with piles of “please don’t change X” posts.

Anyway a last online is fairly useless for what you described. You need a last represent. Then you need a how long where they representing.

I see your point.
But someone that is not representing but active can be talked to to figure out the nature of his nonrepresenting, while someone that is not active cannot be talked.

After all, as kaspi said already, it should be up to the guildleaders how they want to manage their roster and the rules for their guild. So giving out this information would be essential and I personally see no reason why it should be denied?

also the representing might be more missleading than the last online. Last online is really something to clearly say: okay this guy is not active he does not need to be in a guild.

a “guild_roster.json” with guild_id as required input should give out these informations:
- Account Name (string)
- Rank (string)
- last online (dd.mm.yyyy)
- last representing (dd.mm.yyyy)

that information of course only authenticated and accessable if your accountname is listed on the roster.

Tough i’m not sure about the last representing, I think that might be enough to give a boolean wether he’s representing (= 1) or not (= 0) at the time the “last online” was recorded.

actually. If i recall correctly, they removed this. When you report someone in WvW the UI will also tell you “Tell us the reason for reporting [Worldname] [Worldrank]”.

It used to show the Accountname, but as far as I recall, they have changed that already month ago. I might be wrong, cant login right now to verify.

So as others already said. Use the ingame reporting function and report him for botting. Write an email to given e-mail address and put in as much information as you can, including date and time of your ingame report.

like “this guy used this exploit, i have sent in a ingame report at DD.MM.YYYY at around HH:MM”

I really like the core of the idea. However any of those events should not only reward players doing them, but also have a benefit for the server. This can come with multiple ways, like score points, supplies for the fortification that the event relates to to speed up its upgrading. However, none of these events should cause the fortification to become contested, this stuff should only be there to cheer up people doing the guard duty and reward them, because this is what we truely need, a system that rewards scouts/guards.

My guess is that these chests will be like those PVE overworld boss chests you can get once a day. I.E. you’ll be lucky to see an exotic come out of these once a month, much less a precursor.

wrong. You’ll get one chest per Rank you aquire. So if you’d gain 5 ranks on a single day, you’d get 5 chests.

Now there is people that have world ranks already. Those people would get an additional chest per rank until they received all their chests they would have gotten so far if that system was introduced from the start.

So this person doing 5 ranks per day would get 10 chests per day until he doubled his current rank.

But anyways, this goes back to a complete different issue that you mentioned aswell, the way Influence is earned. Imo that system isnt the best but as I said, thats a different issue.

Upgrade status on objectives would be awesome. Just the readily visible ones: wall, door and waypoint upgrades. Nothing that you can’t see from the map or from running by.

You can’t see the upgrade status from the map on enemy objectives except for the waypoint. Which is why the API probably won’t include that information. It’s what Anet is having their eyes on and what they mentioned on multiple occasions – they don’t want the API to provide an unfair advantage.

Even tough its true you cant get that information from the map.
A scout that is passing these objectives will surely be able to tell you very accurate what upgrades a keep has finished.

Beside the obvious structural ones (walls/gates, oil, canons, mortar, waypoint) also the personnel ones.

This comes simply by observating the Supply Cap in the keep.
a fully upgraded keep holds 1700 supplies. a nonupgraded keep holds 500.

Each Tier 1 Upgrade adds 50 to this cap
Each Tier 2 Upgrade adds 100 to this cap
Each Tier 3 Upgrade adds 150 to this cap.

If you have a fully structural upgraded keep it holds 1100 supplies max.
Adding services or a second worker to it will increase it to 1150 – this is the only thing you wont be able to call for a 100% if the keep is at 1150 supplies. beyond that it’s possible again.

1200 will mean both tier 1 personell.

1250 will mean 1 tier 1 and 1 tier 2 upgrade. If its additional guards, you can see by passing a gate and doing a headcount, if you dont see more guards than at an unupgraded keep, this keep owns a merchant and a banker. If you see additional guards, this keep owns a second worker and more guards.

the list goes on, If you know how to this stuff works, you can figure it all out on your own. So i dont see why an API shouldnt be able to provide this information

That’s not available in-game, it’s not going to be available via the API.

though, this is stuff that should be available in-game. So it would be great from them putting it in an API to give guild leaders some more possibilities of managing their guild

to be honest, if you know how the supply cap of a fortification works, you can call what upgrades are on just from running by.

This thread is really far off the real problems.

I dont think DL outnumbers us because they have more manpower, they outnumber us because they dont only play WvW when they are on a winning streak.
Weeks ago when Uw was rising up in tiers we fought DL already, and guess what? We outnumbered them 24/7! But as soon as we werent climbing the ladder anymore, people stopped WvW what caused us to drop tiers again and being unable to match a server that we more or less dominated weeks ago.

UW has to get its stuff together before comming to this platform and complain about it.

JeroenXP, i’d advise you to seek out our community forum and participate there rather than comming here

as a german, there is no holiday time right now in germany.

May has just alot of public holidays/bankholidays this year. But with May ending, there is no more public holiday until october, except for some states. Most of these Holidays are on Thursdays and many companies close on the friday afterwards aswell or people take a day off on the friday after a public holiday.

however, summer holiday times are approaching aswell… first state to go is Berlin at the 19th of June, last state to end them will be bavaria at the 11th of September

Hello Devs,

the game is out for a solid 9 month. Still guilds did not find a lot of love.
Yes guild missions are a fun thing to do, but especially guild management or creating alliances is a major flaw in the current system.

over the past few month there been lots of threads that suggested improvements on this section.

I’ll try and sum up some of the stuff we’re missing:

Must haves:
- Login/Logout info in Guild Chat (easy, display “Character has logged on/off” as a message in the guildchat when a (representing?) member logs in
- Display Message of the Day in Guildchat on Login or Change (to avoid people missing out new information)
- Display “Last Seen” on the Roster (show when the person was last online & representing to easier manage inactives)
- Split “Admin Lower Ranks” into its functionalities “Invite”, “Expell” and “Change Rank” I wish to allow every member to invite friends but not kick anyone.

Nice to have:
- Display “Influence Gained” for the members on the roster
- Easier Influence Gain for smaller guilds,
in a game I previously played there was an awesome system with something similar that favored smaller guilds in their influence gain. Small guilds got a boost on Influence gained to cover up their lack of people. So lets say If a guild with 20 Member did an event they got 50 Infleunce per member while a guild with 200 Member doing the very same event got only 7 Influence per member.
- allow guilds to put more informations on the guild panel, add another tab for third-party guild contents such as Websites and VoiceCom Servers
- Ingame calendar would be nice aswell, let us set events for our guild ingame so noone misses anything

what goes in line with this aswell
- allow Mails to be sent to multiple people at once

there is probably alot more and a lot better ideas out there, guys lets show ANet that guilds need some love aswell

and yes, i know there have been plenty of posts but this is another, and instead of telling me to go to one of these, copy and paste this into a new thread so they get the attention on this!

pre nerf mesmer, but the overdone confusion nerf completely destroyed the class for me, so currently my Elementalist because its probably the most versatile class to play. Effective in both roaming and zerging

well lets hope there is some way to counter these traps, if not, then its gamebreaking, if there is a counter, well nothing will really change as only braindeads will run into the no-suppy-traps
