hated downstate in all forms of pvp since the beta weekends.
WvW sieges can be at times a complete joke with small casualties inflicted on the attackers because of the difficulty in finishing people off from up on a wall. not too many people, among those with the right class skillset can jump down and finish someone off in the midst of dozens. this in turn sees more defender casualties than attackers if/when the gate is breached.
zerg v zerg? stragglers and melee players who think their team has their backs are usually the only victims.
spvp… my most hated of all moments.. downing 2 or more, another enemy finishing me off, everyone is back on their feet with no damage done. this leaves so much room for error on part of the outnumbering force that skill on part of the outnumbered is trivialized if they don’t have the utilities/cooldowns to finish people off.
Restarting client fixes that..but still.
i wish. this has been plaguing me forever. not always as bad as the vid but bad enough.
be careful, lately any attempts at making light of the rendering issues is being met with infractions handed out like orwellian candy.
are you suggesting I’ll end up like the TV show host in V for Vendetta :P
Scary :O
This hasn’t happened to me yet. Hope it doesn’t either, how annoying.
Well now you just gone jinxed yourself.
Halloween is just around the corner. And you know what that means… ghosts! And lots of them! Watch as i do battle with the unseeable in an effort to save stonemist castle! I present to you… Ghost Wars 2.
This is the perfect game to learn how to keybind. You can’t have more than 14 keys, and depending on your movement key layout, at least 5 should be comfortable to reach (i use W,E,R,D so i can reach #6 just fine). If you really want to learn how to stop clicking it’s gonna take a good week of nonstop practice. You’re gonna mess up along the way, just don’t give in. I learned how to keybind during my time with WoW when i had roughly 30 keybinds.. now THAT was nuts lol
one other thing.. a better graphic/visual for the med kit/packs. i can’t tell you guys how many times i lay the things down for people who are on the brink of death and it’s like they purposely try to avoid picking them up. i think simply having a red cross on the kid/packs would help people realize that it’s actually a good thing to run over.
made an engi alt ankittenrying out a build that’s only medkit/elixir support for WvW. It has it’s fun moments but feels a little incomplete.
1. Bought my engi dual pistols with +healing. when equipping the med kit, i LOSE healing. my toolbelt heal heals LESS with the med kit out. Now does that really make sense? let the thing benefit from weapon stats.
2. Drop antidote is either bugged or has a typo. the tooltip reads “cures conditions” when i only notice it cure 1 random condition.
3a. Packaged Stimulants trait is, again, bugged. The bandages have a 15 second cooldown with this trait on, but a 12 second cooldown without.
3b. With Packaged Stimulants being the only trait that directly affects the med kit, i feel it could use a little more other than just being able to throw the things. Maybe something like having “Drop Antitode” remove all movement control affects?

alrighty, thanks
thread title.

there goes the entire populace theory.
this game has a LFG tool? where can it be found?
Tools trait Packaged Stimulants gives the bandages a 15 second cooldown when they’re 12 seconds without the trait.
That is a tonic you can purchase in Straits of Devastation. After you escort an adult Quaggan back to the surface, he’ll sell you the tonics. The location is south of Squall Cusps near a cave.
there’s one standing at the entrance to a tunnel but he offers no event, he just stands there with a piece of dialogue. is there a different one?
the only good rewards I’ve found in any area of the game is map completion of the higher level zones. gives you a couple exotic pieces that sell up to a gold each.
because fat girls don’t exist according to the art director. same reason with the overwhelming majority of heavy and light armor being revealing. only skimpy women allowed in this game.
they forgot to post the warrior changes
commanders never led soldiers directly into the fight itself? news to me.
and simultaneously repairs all walls or doors to 100% when upgraded.
Inquest are Asura. Asura is the smartest race. Stereotypically, Asians are the smartest IRL. Conclusion: racist typist.
bad rewards plague this game in every area. but if money isn’t an issue, trade some in for rep at a guild promoter to speed things along.
if it’s any consolation, the reward sucks.
I’ve been clamoring for a “mute character voice” option forever. player controlled fem norn butch voice makes me cringe. the npc counterparts sound fine however.
as someone who wears a trenchcoat and wide brimmed hat IRL, i must say, you guys have no sense of style!
like imagine 2 taliban server against 1 american.
this sentence needs to be immortalized in these forums.
my personal complaint is the player controlled fem norn voice. the voice actress sounds terribly bored. she could be in the middle of the battle of the century and she’ll still talk like she’s in a cubicle giving tech support. her lack of expression goes beyond story cinematics, but abilities as well. compare a male human screaming things like “On my mark” and “Shake it off” to a fem norn’s.. she’s so monotone.

the first time when i killed it with the cinematic there wasn’t any active objectives. the second time after i killed it w/ no cinematic there still was one (to kill the thing if i recall).
Twice now I’ve killed the undead scout at the end of the mission, one time getting a cinematic after killing it, and both times haven’t gotten a reward to choose from to end the mission.
thanks for the feedback gentlemen. i’m 60 atm and been using magic find gear for the past 10 levels and was planning on using such gear up to and including 80.
guess my next question is this then.. if what potato says is true then it would still be worthwhile to use as leveling gear? i do get a good amount of greens and blues with the occasional rare and that was just with 1% magic find per piece of gear (+28 w/ food buff). now that i can get 3% per piece, it SOUNDS good but I’d still like other’s opinions. thanks guys.
according to the wiki: “Magic find is an attribute that increases a player’s chance to receive rare loot from drops.”
Does this mean that magic find only helps with looting the yellow text rare items? Or does it imply that it helps find any uncommon quality loot and greater?
Also, does Magic Find help when gathering/mining?
And lastly, does the Magic Find % add to the % chance ie. .5% chance of looting “item A” + 3% magic find makes it 3.5%
or does it multiply the % chance ie. .5% chance of looting “item A” x 3% magic find = 1.5%
it seems when i put something on the trading post with a quantity of 250 (or a total of 250 or more) it doesn’t sell. when i post it as say 100 quantity, i notice it sells immediately. just wondering if it’s me or not.
Warrior: Generally happy.
eh? i don’t know a single warrior that’s happy about being pigeonholed into using a greatsword because everything else is inferior in certain areas of the game ie. 5’s tourneys.
As you can see in the pic i put together, i bought 2 gold worth of influence, started researching politics 2, logged off for the night, was apparently refunded the 1,000 for some reason, and now i don’t have the influence or the researched upgraded.
i wouldn’t mind a level tier but unless the zone the lowbs are thrown in is considerably smaller, i don’t see how it would keep a large enough player base in the near-future.
I’m level 50 atm so the only ore I’m getting from salvaging items my level is iron which goes for 10c a piece on the TP. even if i sometimes get 2 pieces of iron that’s a big loss when the items i’m salvaging vendor for 30+. I’ll sometimes break even if i get 3 pieces of cotton or something similar.
It’s now the last thing to do for my monthly September achievement but after trying it out.. i’m losing more than 50% cash from selling the salvaged items on the trading post than if i were to just vendor the gear. is there something that i’m missing here or am i really to lose money out on 1,000 pieces of equipment (let alone buying the salvage kits) for this? is the reward worth it?
can’t represent a guild
guild panel showing me in “World vs World” no matter which zone I’m in
can’t buy from the trading post
took down an item from the trading post but can’t retrieve it
that’s all I’ve found. so far…
whatever happened, i can’t represent a guild anymore. went to a guild promoter and it’s saying i’m not repping any guild despite the guild screen saying i was. un-repped then try to re-enable and it’s still not working.
same kitten different day.
scrubs are bad players. being 80 with better gear and more traits doesn’t make them a more skilled player than a lower level who might otherwise be able to beat them on even ground. just saying.
I’m not bringing this up in regards to the difficulty or speed in leveling (which IS fast). It’s about the inadequate boost which if the devs give to us in the first place like Sarah brings up then they obviously want to see lower levels participate. a lot of “solutions” posted here is to just avoid the problem altogether. I’d rather see it fixed so future new players don’t have to be a masochist to enjoy WvW.
Now that we have 80’s with current end game gear roaming around WvW, my lowb (which is 47) is feeling quite useless against these guys. Sometimes when checking my combat log I’m seeing myself get hit for up to 2500 damage just from someone’s #1 attack each while i only have 18k hp. I can only imagine how much worse sub 30’s have it without all their utilities and elite skills.
What are other non 80’s experiences?
the servers lag enough as it is. the hamsters would die if there wasn’t a cap.
Its down too long. I have like full bag and cant sell it. So faking annoying.
lol same, since last night. full of junk that vendors for a few coppers but sells on the post for silver. what to do what to do.
does the reward chest reset daily or is it a one time thing?
that sounds good but if it’s only for wins.. i have 0 faith in my fellow puggers lol. the amount of time it takes to farm 2 silver equaling 10 influence sounds more efficient. farming in an event-filled area sounds better. thanks for the suggestions.
question in topic.
not a fan of the 7 day cycle either. my server pretty much won within the first day back on Friday i believe it was, and since then during off-hours the other two servers control maybe a camp and a tower each day. quite the snooze fest.
