I will preface this by stating im playing other games atm so this is purely theorycrafting. When i last played, Scrapper was well down the list as a viable roamer. But with the recent changes maybe a bit has changed.
For condi+stealth movement speed is just QoL, you insta melt most targets. I ve pasted a build I was using a pair of weeks, so it definitely worked :p 1v2/3 as always

Engi never wes a braindead guardian, and we dont need to be. Ft is great in burning right now, meta pve kit, strong roaming. Dats the best place for it in ages.
For wvw frontline joke go hammer, ft never been a great choice in frontline, it was just for making lootbags.
As for ft5 – its great! A blind from the stun saved my life billions of time

I dont know if you were thinking to use Sage amulet to be hybrid…. but on the link the amulet is Mender, so U dont have any condi damage. Right now that build is a power build with flamethrower 8|
Sorry in the real build i was using sage amulet, not mender, probably i did an error when i compiled the build …. i was using sage + balthazar with ft and it seems quite fun to use ….

Nope, you felt it wrong. Engi is good in defending 1v2 for high amount of time, if defensive skills rotated properly. But ofc half of the game you do res and save your teammates.
As for 5th, if your team looses a 4v3 battle, noone will carry.

I ran tests against chilloreapers yesterday for shout hammer/mace-shield warrior in custom arenas with friends. And I got the same amount of rage :-) nerf every meta to hell. We want to be archers, pistolers and rest junk

I like how you say that without giving us a reason to do so – mostly because it’s obvious WHY they should do something like this. I’d like to see more than just a drastic CDR on the shield tbh. I’d like to see some rework with the skills, more utility and defensive capability. Maybe it’s also a problem that the pistol skills are lackluster. The auto attack still isn’t an explosive as promised, the aoe does still not cause bleed, poison dart volley still misses and is often almost no dps gain at all, would be nice if there would be some defensive utility (poison + weakness?) and skill 3 … well … that’s the only good one tbh.

Do you think , with power wrench modification , that power based nades build ( old marauder nades meta for example ) will be more viable ? 33% reduction on toolkit skills is a huge buff prybar on 10 seconds…. 13 second for gear shield …. it seems really interesting and i was thinking where to fit toolkit . I see something like explosive, toolkit , alchemy … with nades, toolkit and elixir gun / elixir S / Slick Shoes…. a lot of fun …. what do u think ?
idk about alchemy, inventions is an option too with that less place for elixirs on a toolbar

For power you can take explosive ( firearms is not so strong with a power build ) so you don’t have problem. I see 2 ways in general for core builds ( not scrapper ) :
Condition : incendiary powder, pistols pistols with one or more kits between elixir gun and flamethrower and toolkit
Power : rifle based with explosive so you can take grenades, bombs , elixir gun and toolkit.
The only real “always” available kits are elixir gun and toolkit becouse they don’t depend so much on a single trait line . Flamethrower is good , ok but imho it works better with condition builds and in any case Flamethrower, for me , is not as good as elixir gun and toolkit so i’d not take it in a power build

First, I did it(ressing with giro under pressure) multiple times
Second, I talked about stomping 1vs2
It s just a minor trait that helps you in long fights

also explosives line is not that mandatory for bomb kit (short fuse not that critical as grenadier)

Didn’t play bombs for half of year, but it seems it can replace nades in viper(or carrion) hgh build. Pros : more on point pressure, cons : you have to stay melee while having not much def and you ll have hard time hitting players on the move

i dont see its decap potential versus most of bunkers or any necro.
they either survive and help comes and kills you easy, or kill you by them self

necro? run, stealth, try not to cry, cry a lot
can you kill druid? no. can he? yea via pet
