That alternative has double the duration for half the prickly pears. Shame on Anet tbh.
yay, Hamstorm still exists
Nerf stances imo.
I’d prefer the name Rammer
Afaik there’s 2 factors
- time elapsed since damaged has been dealt or received (condition ticks count);
- distance to the opponent in question
If you ask me, the most glorious pvp pet is Siamoth. F2 gives you either plasma (all boons!) or stealth. Then from stealth sneak up on people and hit ’em with 9k Mauls. If you swapped to jaguar beforehand and made him stealth too as you approached; double the fun.
10 sec on a 5 sec cooldown. Isn’t it unique that a rune has 100% uptime on one of its effects? Should be 5 sec on a 10 sec cooldown. Might’ve been always intended to be that way.
I guess if you truly get pinballed around a lot, take the Foot in the Grave trait.
Yep happened to me as well. Wasn’t a particularly valuable exotic but the warning should still be there.
Think I’ve seen all those arguments listed in OP come by. If you ask me, this just means ranger needs a buff :P
Also Armageddon, you’re in the wrong thread.
In my timezone, Teq spawns at 12.30 pm, 6 pm, and 4 am. I’ve done Teq daily for months, but with only these spawntimes I won’t be able to do him at all. I’m doubtful that Guild Tequatl will solve the issue.
Because jealousy.
I’m inclined to say bad. No cap-debuff is given to skills that grant either invulnerability or invisibility, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Capture_point . Endure Pain grants neither, since you’re still susceptible to conditions and cc.
I do think Endure Pain could use some other nerf. Or perhaps make it require more skill to use effectively, say reduce recharge to a mere 12-15 seconds, grants its buff for only 1 or 2 seconds.
Instead of damage nerf I think it would be way better, as has been suggested, to give arcing arrow a minimum range. Say 300 minimum, so the slow speed balances the high high damage.
Why would you want boring regular GS when you have a Fiery GS
But yeah for all practical purposes ele would have to get a weapon which currently isnt a conjure skill.
So torch and maybe sword(s). Or dual focus, yo.
Do you even Spectral Walk, bro?
also even with D/D’s -300 range on RtL and increased cooldown, ele is still fastest. Dat Fiery GS.
I also disagree that warriors ‘arent mean to’. That’s too subjective. After all don’t warriors have the strongest muscles and the strongest legs? :P
I also find your skill as a ranger dubious. Surely after 1.5k hrs you have mastered sword #2 to equally rival warriors sword #2? Only (!!) if the warrior equips bulls charge can he solidly outrun ranger.
I find it highly contradictory that people complain about gap closing and opening yet Warrior is the only class that they complain about as if they are the only class that can do this.
This is very, very true. Warriors don’t have the best mobility, they just have great mobility, great offenses and good defenses. Singling out just the mobility doesn’t make sense. The real problem, even in this thread, appears to be Healing Signet. Warrior’s mobility hasnt been touched since launch, but buff HS and suddenly everything is good about warriors. Mind you, for a long time warriors were bottom tier, and the most important differences between then and now are healing signet and stance buffs.
I reckon the best mobility is as follows:
Ele has the best, due to Fiery GS, D/D skills and lightning flash
Then warrior, if gs+s/wh + bulls charge (decent, yet not great setup for actual combat)
Then ranger (also gs+s/wh. Hornet sting and monarch leap both in the right direction isnt hard lol) and thief.
I’m fine with these rankings.
Also necro has the best vertical mobility. Can fall as long and from as high as he wants without dying
Fear not! If you take the new Spite grandmaster trait you can make your deathly claws and necrotic grasps move 100% faster!
They should introduce a GM trait that unbugs your bulls charge and rush if chosen.
If you ask me dogs deal more damage than renewed focus and subsequent virtues. Keep hounding ’em

I heard he was last seen in a smoky Kiev cafe, sitting in the shadows wearing a long, beige trenchcoat, awaiting an elusive woman known only as Dasha.

Endure pain doesnt prevent condition damage.
Most of the GW2 population has died and has been reincarnated as mindless zergdrones.
Awesome footage. Awful music.
I always think that its simply many people selling at that price, because its a nice round number :p
I think moa morph would be more interesting and less cheese if its duration was reduced from 10 to 4 seconds and its recharge from 180 to 60 seconds.
Ye gods. 22 min is a fast time even for a full party imo XD
If this could not happen anymore, that’d be greaaaaaaat.
Saying cc = dodge is too much of an apples and oranges comparison, though. For example mace 5 might not hit all enemies, might hit defiant enemies, might hit enemies with stability, whereas dodge knows no counter. On the other hand, cc indeed saves the need for your allies to dodge.
The pros and cons need to be weighed on a case by case basis, and oh axe can come out on top.
1. Elementalist
2. Ranger
3. Necromancer
I’m not saying oh axe > oh mace, but can people please read and realize that OH axe, unlike OH mace, allows you to deal damage and dodge at the same time. It’s a niche use and therefore it’s not useless. Learn2read.
Because you pretty much cannot stop the warrior res skill, while the others are easily shut down.
????
If you argue that warrior has too much access to stability, you probably have a point, but that doesnt have anything to do with warbanner.
Sorudo, if you could just never speak again that’d be great.
The game crashes nearly every single time on exit (error submission statements briefly pops up and closes) and also frequently in game with no notice.
Prior to this update game performance was fine.
I have exactly this as well. It didn’t bother me up until now, when the game decided to crash during a Tequatl fight.
What makes warbanner so much better than all the other rez skills?
If you and everyone are so sure sprockets will rise in price, why isnt there already rampant speculation, driving up the price?
Hint: Sprockets aren’t that useful.
I have no issue beating MM’s as Hambow.
Heh, if you call that strange, how about the first time Dusk was posted on TP: sell listing for 16 gold!
Could you explain why it’s comparing apples to oranges? Seems like a perfectly valid analogy to me. I don’t see the relevancy of the distinction real-virtual, or forever usable – wear&tear.

RtL is better than rush.
Well necro’s are fairly screwed, because they have poor defense.
“Try dodging their obvious attacks” is very doable on e.g. a mesmer, i.e. dodge, staff #2, sword #2, dodge, blink, even-though-vigor-nerf-still-pleenty-of-vigor-ergo-dodge, and back to staff #2, sword #2, and then you can take a hit.
Great thread. Some people still like the activities, but they do need Anet’s attention. ETA for fixes? I’d give at another 6 months or so, at least.
I don’t think it’s that relevant. You can do a good or bad balancing job through tweaking just as you can with introducing new skills.
Sure, I know. That’s why I mentioned conditions, and not CC. They’re not equal regarding CC either though:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ride_the_Lightning_
You can’t be stunned, except for knockdowns. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Control_effect
Unless wiki is incorrect.
Except they’re not the same. Rush is easily countered with conditions, whereas conditions don’t have an effect on RtL. RtL’s effect is stronger, so a longer CD is warranted.
I agree the earlier nerf to RtL can be partially reverted. The extra mechanic on it atm encourages skillful play, so I’d say keep that but reduce the recharge from 40 (20 on hit) to 30 (15 on hit).
Hmm … it would make sense as a cooking ingredient.
Sounds good to me.
The more essences you throw in your lucky soup, the more temporary + Magic Find it gives
And if it can’t surpass the +300% MF hard cap…….. + gold find food or something
These kitten guys eh
complaining about staff while it isn’t even clear that a GS + S rotation is better than only GS, which would make GS/Staff a better practical choice.
Wouldn’t a weapon of Frailty of Strength actually debuff your character? :P
