I thought that too when the item first came out. I converted gold to gems and bought it. Soon after I realized that it was only for the bank and sent support a ticket to see if I could possibly my gems/gold back. They pretty much told me that they couldn’t do anything about it.

You can buy them with glory or the ugly sock/sweater/hat things. Other than that I think it is level based. Could be wrong. It’s happened once before, but only once.

Mesmers make their own physics.

A good Mesmer can make a spell that summons, say, a lamp with an intricate pattern on the shade, and carvings on the base.

A great Mesmer can do all of the above, plus give it weight, and throw it at you. With their mind. And probably for critical damage, too.

The pve forums complain about the game being balanced around spvp and the spvp forums complain that PVE gets all the love.
I think it’s safe to say no part of the game is more special than the other, unless you count the LS which is the life blood supposedly.

Fighting 2 phantasm mesmers on the same point is MISERABLE.

Fighting two spirit rangers or minion necros on point is just as disheartening.

It’s not a problem with the build(s). They need to put a profession limit in tPvP.

I dunno, if a phantasm can kill something, why not ? They attack with weapons and do damage – so it seems like they’re some kind of physical matter at least temporarily held together.

I was more talking about temperature change. Does an illusion keep you warm?

If it’s matter, I wonder why couldn’t it form a thermal barrier/cocoon like anything else ? Heck, you could optimise the potential for body heat retention beyond “real” materials by fiddling with the molecular structure !

I guess it really depends on what Mesmer magic can actually “do”. Kasmeer can clearly do things that the player cannot – I wonder what the potential is and what the physics are. But it’s magic, so I should probably not think too much.

If her magic can rearrange the molecular structure of things or only its self then we should be careful what we say about her.

The wiki was updated yesterday I believe and it shows that the sigil does not drop in the giant boxes but it drops in the large boxes. So I don’t know how accurate that would be.

How do you know you don’t have time to farm for it if you don’t know what it takes. I don’t really count the TP as farming in anyway.

I play a ranger (lol) in wvw and I usually end up making money on bags/random gathering. Unless your idea of playing wvw is perma scout i have no idea what you are complaining about other than anet didn’t mail you a set of ascended when it was released.

Okay, gossamer prices have been dropping all afternoon, which means that everybody is waiting for it to hit rock bottom, so they can buy low. Which means that the players who own the gossamer are saying, "Hey, we’re losing all our kitten money, and Christmas is around the corner, and I ain’t gonna have no gold to craft my ascended armor! So they’re panicking right now, they’re screaming “SELL! SELL!” to get out before the price keeps dropping. They’re panicking out there right now, I can feel it.

I could imagine if this was different from ascended weapons.. but it’s not. Why would you expect them to reinvent the wheel? They want you playing for as long as possible and time gating does that.

I have made so much gold today. I’m only sad I didn’t go with my gut last night and buy up more supply.

NCSOFT has been known to shut down games that are cash flow positive, case in point would be City of Heroes. I wouldn’t depend on them to make rational decisions.

I choose sb axe/torch for my condi build. I’m wishing I would have choosen sword/dagger instead of SB because I find myself hardly ever using it.

I started playing (again) at the end of the scarlet invasion so I really have no idea what is going on with her story. I really really really really liked the ending cut scene as it kinda gave me a glimpse of things that happened.

I totally agree with Magische. I have 8 characters and bought all three unlimited gathering tools on each character. That’s a ton of gems. I did this under the impression that Anet would not release account bound versions of these. Making the tools account bound make absolutely no difference to me and now just make me mad that I bought something that I would not have if I knew they would do this! I bought 1 Copper-fed-salvage-omatic and deposit it in my bank everytime i switch characters. Buying 8 of those would have just been silly and super expensive. This is exactly would I have done with the tools. Anet, make it right and give people back their gems or at least partial gem refund for these tools. I’m sure there’s many people in my position that bought these tools in good faith not expecting to be screwed over.

I see you have money and common sense. Unfortunately one seems to be ten fold the other.

IOJ schooled FA tonight in keep defense in EB. Frankly, I’m mostly just proud of IOJ. We were disorganized and running multiple tags most of the night. FA is already in the karma train mentality and is getting soft I think. We had the map queued, and IOJ had (I’m guessing) 30 people on the map? Great job IOJ.

FA could be in for some rude awakenings once leagues are over and we’re at a population disadvantage again.

You seem to be forgetting that this is FA’s 8177168th week into leagues and the only server even close to a legitimately equal opponent we met in battle was SBI. You expect us to take every aspect of these match ups seriously? I don’t expect you to understand, but we’ve been frustrated with how little amount of competition we are getting, I am not an offensive commander, I have never been, yet I was in EB last night attacking a keep, what does that say to you? And that little comment about you being there when we fought BG, but not me? PRO has been in FA since the start, and so have I. I’ve been there commanding in FA BL since we were getting smashed by CD, TC, and YB because we just didn’t have the coverage. I was there before the IoJ transfers that gave us the numbers we needed to stay competitive, and I will be there even when the server begins to die, if it ever does. I admit, I was out of my element, doing something I don’t usually do, but at least I tried and learned from it. I do not, however, appreciate tagless CORE members throwing down siege keeping us from building what we need to get built, you were in our TS, we see your names. And I do not appreciate you making assumptions and starting something when you have no prior knowledge about me or my guild. You can come back with a better attitude about things and try to work as a team, or leave the server because if you can’t then it’s clearly not for you.

First off, I’ve been with FA since launch and have no intention of ever leaving this awesome server. CORE is a great guild with good people and I have welcomed them with open arms to our family.

Second, I had to say something about your post. Everyone on FA is entitled to their opinion and it should be encouraged, but I do not agree with slamming another FA brother in open forum chat for all the other server’s trolls to feed on and to use to their advantage.

I suggest that we keep our “dirty laundry” in house and sort it out internally. Please respect all your FA brothers, thank you.

With the nerf to the champ train, what is the most efficient way to make gold? I’m not taking the TP into consideration as I already do this. I’m more looking for something to do with my free time that I used to fill with the occasional champ train.
