in many cases its cheaper to buy it directly from the TP instead if crafting it. this shows how stupid the hole precurser crafting is….. u spend time on your collections and than its even more expensive….

Errr… No, it doesn’t, and it’s obvious you haven’t bothered to read the thread properly (which is pretty silly if you feel the need to comment). It’s already been pointed out (by me, for a start) that it’s still cheaper to buy from the TP than to craft.

But if you enjoy just running round the world & you accumulate materials, you now have a different route to getting a legendary than grinding gold or world bosses or praying to the RNG gods. I’ve clocked up over 6000 hours since release. I’ve never had a precursor drop. I’ve said I think the OP is over-effusive in their praise, I’m unsurprised that the process is bugged for some of the leggies because I have no faith in Anet’s QC procedures.

plz explain how anything changed with collection 2 beein the gold sink that costs as much gold as a “normal precurser”. where did u get your gold to buy everything for collection 2? somethings wrong in your logic…. you r trying to tell me that there is a way to get your precurser without grinding gold, while there isnt…. u could do the exact same before precurser crafting. it just takes ages. there is no big difference in grinding materials or grinding gold.

and btw, precurser is only 1/4 of the legendary. even though u spend 2 month on your precurser by farming everything on your own, you will need to farm 4 times the gold for the rest…. so its not that big of a deal if u can now collect 1/4 of the stuff….

precurser crafting didnt change anything. there are 2 collections where u need to collect stuff from the world. and there is 1 collection where u need to grind gold. there is no different route than grinding gold!!!! ppl dont seem to understand this. collection 1 and 3 is a time sink, while collection 2 is a gold sink that forces u to grind gold or buy gems for real money.
this is not my understanding of a legendary journey….

i knew it from the beginning. u will never get a good gaming experience if a game is centered around a cash shop.
im really disapointed. it was nearly the same price as the original game but its soooo much smaller. its more like a dlc than an addon.

this addon added nothing else than 4 map with living story crap. look at it…. we didnt get anything else. no new dungeons, fractals. no new weapon and armor skins except a few really uggly ones. still no access to sinister gear except by doing stupid living story. precurser crafting is really bad.
we got mega events with an server system that doenst really support this kind of events since u cant join with a big guild of ~100 ppl.
we got adventure that i did once to get mastery points. will never do them again. they suck!

Something needs to be done! The current situation for organised groups on Meta events is a disaster. And for non organised aswell.

Its impossible to get on the same map with a group of 100 ppl.

Its nearly impossible to finish a Meta event on a random Map because NOBODY IS ON THIS MAP FOR THE EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Your Server System sucks!!!!! since u introduced big events its an issue and nothing is beeing done.

There needs to be a system that saves your spot on a map for 2 minutes if u get a dc!
There needs to be a system that gives groups the option to create their own map!

Im tired of spending hours to get on a map and im tired of getting disconnected once im on the map!

Right, underwater needs it’s own legends set. Kinda odd going underwater and having to switch legends, then switch again back on land

They kinda didnt think it through. The class feels unfinished.

Sword 3 is super buggy. Its the main Sword attack and its really bad. Every time you are hitting a mob that is near a wall or object it cancels the cast. if a mob is slightly higher aswell….

Do u really expect people to switch legends every time they go into water?

3.) Learn to play your class and stop being bad. There is a reason for insta-kill mechanics, and if you fail to learn you will keep dying until you acknowledge it’s presence

u r a fanboy because u have always been lucky…. there is a big difference. there r ppl who get punished by rng over and over. same for me. played 2500 hours and the best loot was a weapon worth 7g.

I know what will happen .. they continue to change all bosses with more HPs and more oneshot kills, untill most player say : stop that in the open world .. make it instanced raid-encounters.

And then they finally can implement EQ/WoW-Style Raids even after most players didn’t wanted them in the past. But now .. hey they players just said they want it.

And just look at the Tequatl forum .. there are more and more posts like that.

And after that .. prepare for Ascended+1 Stuff

I think a lot of people arent really complaining about the ascended tier per se (albeit a few are concerned about a neverending treadmill) but the amount of grind required to obtain ONE weapon as opposed to getting a ring and accessory. Cannot imagine what has to be done for ascended armor.

I for one, am complaining that the gear even exists. This is my main issue with GW2, and why I quit playing. The amount of grind is a distant second place in my complaint department. Actually, it’d be third, after the endless AP grind, followed by poor Living Story and Personal Story quality.

I really can’t find a reason to play any more. What are my options?

1) grind gear
2) grind meaningless AP
3) do the same set of dungeons that have been in the game since launch.
4) play a poorly written living story, in a blind panic to get the achievements in time, before they go away.

Since Fractals, there have been no new dungeons. WvW is essentially the same zergfest it’s been since launch, and sPvP has had few meaningful improvements – it’s still the same old same old, at heart.

The few bits of really good content that ArenaNet have come up with since launch were temporary, and can’t be played any more.

So what’s my motivation to stick around? There isn’t. The only reason I still come to these forums is because I was a huge Guild Wars fan, and I keep hoping they’ll find a way to plug the leaks in the sinking ship that’s becoming GW2.

thats exactly my point. i love the game and im looking for a reason to log in. atm all hope is gone. i dont see anything coming in the near future that gives a reason to log in. i dont see any dungeons or a new map coming. they were saying we get patches in the size of an addon. thats a lie. they r just hyping everything to a ridiculous level. i hope the playerbase will understand how we r getting fooled by false promises.

this is not funny anymore…. i love the game but im bored on the not existing content. i need something new in the rotation.

If you never liked big boss fights, then logic tells me you probably wouldn’t like the new boss fight revamps. I liked the old boss fights, and I like the new Teq fight even more. It’s opinion and preference.

If you don’t like it, then don’t partake. There is still WvWvW, dungeons, events, and if none of that interests you, you can always become a Lion’s Arch Bank Defender.

there is no new content since release except fractals.
we only get content that doesnt fits me. and im not the only person who thinks so. there r soooo many who quit the game because they hated the released content and got bored of the content we have since release.

we got minigames on mass.
we got zerg content like crown pavillion and scarlett events
but we never got anything permanent that fit into the “normal” game. its all special and fency stuff that kinda sucks. i just want to have normal content that i can play in a normal way.

the only reason im still here, i was hoping we will get a new dungeon or something permanent that is fun. but all hope is gone….

i dont see anything coming in the near future that fits my criteria of “fun”. challenging content for small groups…. thats all im asking for. something where challenge gets rewarded.
hopeless….

the problem here, its no new content. i would like to play challenging content. but not an a boring drake i killed 100 times.
just a new mechanic wont solve the problem that u get bored playing the same looking stuff over and over.

on something new i would try till its down. but first its nothing new. and second u cant choose your player. u r forced to play 90% of the time on an overflow server where u cant even talk to everyone.

to make this post a little bit more accurate i will try it again. im tired of writing long post because i dont think anything will change and i dont think anything written here will affect developer decisions. i dont think they read here anything ever. still wondering this post didnt get an infraction.

i love the released game, but im not happy with the released upgrades. fractal patch was awesome. aetherblade dungeon was ok and the first adventure box was ok.
i did most events/patches for achievements but i dont think doing achievements for the points is really satisfying. some ppl made it a goal to have lots of avs but thats only a hand full. its not really rewarded and for me it doesnt fit. its doing content u dont like just for points and many avs had been a grind.

my thoughts on the tequatl upgrade:
i think to adress the real problem that keeps us away from awesome content upgrades is very complex.

except fractals we didnt get any permanent content. its is still the game that has been released 1 year ago. a few skins, ascended weapons and thats it. there is nothing new that came into the rotation of content we r playing. there is nothing new to explore. we need new content for small groups badly.

the goal with the boss revamp is “to make them more challenging and fun”

i think we have a totally different idea of “challenging and fun”

it would never come to my mind to release something like that to “improving the gamers experience”

i never enjoyed these big events. there r different reasons why i dont like them and why i tried to avoid them.

now we have come to a point where we got “challenging content” with ppl that we cant choose.

challenging is ok, but not like this

we got an overflow and bad performance problem with big events. instead of giving us something new where we dont have this problem we get it over and over. content that always forces these problems.

i think many things u r saying is misleading. u r selling everything as “awesome and fency” and u r always proud of small things that pretty much no one cares about. u r hyping everything to a ridicolous level.

“bosses – upgraded” doesnt fit. its bugfixes and increased hp. loot table is pretty much the same what imo is the main problem here. the hole loot system in the game is just really really bad.

these bosses have never been fun. and to think it will be fun with more hp and more onehit mechanics is totally wrong.

i watched the tequatl kill video and i really cant understand how u can call this “fun”

u pretty much dont see any red circles due to the masses. ppl dying over and over. its a zerg and nothing else. everyones standing in the same spot. events with masses of people never run smooth and if something doenst run smooth u cant call it “fun”.

it might be challenging but its no fun.

give us challenging content for small groups. where u can choose your group. where u get rewarded for challenging stuff.

imo the main reason for unsatisfying content is the free 2 play concept.

with the announcement they will stick to the living story all hope was gone. tiny upgrades every 2 weeks is not enough. i was hoping for a major upgrade with dungeons or whatever.

content upgrades that feel like addons. stop hyping everything….. we never got this. i kinda feel like we r getting fooled

it hard for me to adress the problems but even though i could point out the problems nothing would change.

How do you place a 30 dollar max value on the content? What MMO that isn’t F2P cost 30 dollars. All of the new MMO in development for next year will all be SUB + BOX and all more than 30 to get invested before you even play.

do u have any idea how much content other mmos release? since release we got fractals and 1 mini dungeon that stayed for 3 weeks.
its just low quality content. a few cutscenes and some achievements, and minigames i dont like….
there is no serious content since release… what is new since release? nothing…. no dungeon, no new map, no new gear. oh wait. we got ascended weapons that fullfill 1 goal…. make ppl buy more on the gemstore…. our inventorys get flooded and we need to transmute new skins…. with gemprices this high ppl rather spend some cash than change gold for gems….
its just timesink content that keeps us a little bit busy. its not good quality content that is worth 10 bucks a month..
ppl need to understand the concept behind this gemshop financed content…. its there for a reason… its not for giving us enjoyable content….

that is insane. if it would be a subscriber based game u would have payed ~120 for 1 year. u spend soooo much money for content worth 30 max…. we didnt get high quaility content. it was there for generating money through the gemstore

Just limit those shown characters and lower their texture quality. Problem solved. I play on 3-4 years old hardware and have 30+ FPS with this settings.

i dont want to play a game that looks like a game from 1990. it looks soooo bad and u always need to change graphic back and forth. as long as there is no graphic presets its not really an option. they cant be serious on this. im playing a game where i need to change graphic settings in the options every 15 minutes. come on…..

with character details on low the game is not worth playing. it looks awfull. animations is nothing else than gathering… this is so….

and shown characters also means enemies…. so if u disable them u dont even see the enemies…. this hole situation is just a horrible way to handle it

I don’t understand some people. They complain about how world bosses are boring and only there for the loot, so ANet goes and attempts to make them more exciting and fun to fight.

And now, people have the nerve to complain before the content is even live? Holy crap, give it a chance and try it before you kitten it to death by a thousand spinning spiders wearing sunglasses…

the combination between challenging and unplayable due to bad performance is a no go for me.
im avoiding these events since day one because its a effect mess and nothing else. challenging content is fine. but not in a scale that wont work out.
they just need to change the scale on these events. find a better solution.

there is no need of 500 man events

stop making mega events with hundreds of ppl. dont stick to a system that never worked out. if there is a problem to display this amount of ppl stop developing stuff where u need it.
it would make difference if i kill the mega dragon events with 40 or 400 ppl… i dont understand why anet sticks to their idea so bad…… we dont need events this big….

plz limit events to 50 or 100 ppl. i hate playing a game that looks like bs. u always need to turn down grafic details to a level where i kinda want to log off…. this is not solution with the bad looking chars.

this kind of content is horrible. its pain in the eyes with effects everywhere. u dont see anything else than effects….

the priority list seems to be totally different than mine…
revamping content that kinda works instead of giving us new fresh content? this doesnt feel right since these mega events never rly worked out.
u need to turn down your graphic to a point where the game looks like kitten.

what is going on here? im getting frustrated…. its a nice game but it looks like we r playing a different game. ppl r complaining about stuff but its seems noone gets heared.
we got a big performance issue but instead of shipping around this problem we dont change our course because we r blind due to our ideas.
its just stupid and wont work!

why does the developer team sticks to the idea of big events that r no fun at all due to bad performance and effects that hurt my eyes… give us at least an option to turn down effects totally. or fire effects etc.
r there any plans on adding an option for graphic presets so u dont need to go into options to turn down graphic details? there needs to be a quicker way to turn details down….

its one of the most frustrating things in this game. im getting punished from rng over and over and i dont rly unterstand how someone can develop a system that is so unfair.
doenst feels right that running around in circles to kill champs give the best rewards.

instead of revamping big events u should give your hole loot system a revamp. its not inovative and kinda stinks. its the worst ive ever seen.
i would like to know why the loot system is how it is!? lack of ideas for a better one? its punishing and frustrating and kinda kills the fun if u r trying to get a legendary.

why is the hole legendary progress only grind without a quest or stroy or something like that?

its on purpose to flood our invetorys…. this is how they force ppl to buy stuff from the gemshop… u need to look at every content from the developers perspective. keep the gemshop and non subscriber marketing model in mind every time u take a look at the new content. this is how u will understand whats going on here.
they keep us busy with no effort. every decission needs to fit the idea “there need to be a way to sell something in the gemshop”
content is not for free. they just design this way so ppl think about spending money on the cashshop.
it all fits in well. look at the gem price. noone wants to trade their hard earned gold for games. ppl rather spend 10 euro for a new bag slot etc…
they r fooling us hard…

the game is doomed due to their marketing strategy. its about keeping players busy with no effort. for that u need to release content how we see it. nothing will change ever. the only solution is a subscriber fee. there is no chance we will see awesome content in this free 2 play cashshop crap

we r beeing flooded by useless loot. it feels like im spending more time sorting out my inventory than im actually playing. once u sold everything u open boxes and your invetory is full again…..
anets tries everything to keep us busy with nonsense.
like clicking firework 100 times to get an achievement.
so many big stacks that consume a lot of time….
why is there so much loot? we dont need jugs with karma and 5 different types + gold loot + gold bags + salvaging stuff….
its coming to a point where its just ridicolous how much time i need to spend for opening stuff….
i believe its on purpose to flood our inventoris so we need to buy stuff from the gemshop…. everything implemented feels like there was the idea involved how they force us to buy things from the gemshop.
if there is so much loot there is the need of a big inventory that u need to buy thtough the gemshop…. and if u look at gemprices…. noone wants to spend their hard earned gold. so ppl rather buy gems for cash….

i see what u r doing….. shame on u….. horrible marketing model… its fooling ppl…. your intention of developing stuff is wrong

Open world bosses, temple bosses, WvW keeps, and castles now drop Dragonite Ore in addition to their regular loot, which can only be earned once per day per location

Dungeons, minidungeons, jumping puzzles, WvW camps, and towers now drop Empyreal Fragments in addition to their regular loot, which can only be earned once per day per location.

Players can only receive rewards from dig spots and the reward chests found at the end of each zone once per account per day.

Do you know the differents from exotics to ascendend????
If you write this kind of QQ ofc you don’t have a clue.

I’ll tell you the difference for berserker gears :
Exotic berserker : 179power ; 128 precision ; 9% crit dmg.
ASCENDENT berserker : 188 power ; 137 precision ; 10% crit dmg.

Do you really think 9 points of power precision and just 1% crit dmg difference can change our dmg?
Actually there is no real difference from exotics to ascendent….it’s not even worth waste time to craft them,or to rush in the craft.
Probably near december we will have ascendent armor,and there the things might chance….9 points here,9points there…there would be a difference of 70/80 points per stats…..ONLY when armor kick in game (so there will be armor power+weapons power+jewels power) , they should buff the kits.

I can agree with you that the actually kits scale is still a kick in the face…for example when i equip a kit i still lose 300(and it’s a lot of dmg lost) power points….if you speak about this i can agree with you then.

You guys work so hard to keep pumping out content for us, and it is 100% free. I mean seriously if this was EA every single new patch probably gonna cost 10$ each already. So thank you for that, seriously.

its not for free. maybe they earn even more than mmos with a subsciber fee. when u pay for content the developer trys to keep the playerbase by adding enjoyable content. anets marketing model trys to keep the playerbase by adding small time consuming updates. keep development as low as possible and find ways to make ppl want stuff from the cash shop.
endgame content = legendary
legendary = purchasable through cash

You can pretty easily solo or duo Teq/Shatterer, the fights themselves aren’t that hard, it’ll just take a bit longer. If you want to avoid people at all costs, just transfer or guest to a lower-pop server. For example, Teq/Shat were really empty while the invasions were going on. At max you got like ~10 people doing the events, so it’s very reasonable.

its braindead content. i just dont like dragon fights. its static and boring. and one big problem is the timer. u always have to wait till u can do something. “tequatl window opens in 20 minutes!” its 30 – 50 minutes standing around. u cant leave the zone or u will come into an overflow.
its not enjoyable. all these events r bound to a timer and i dont want to stand around to wait for a dragon for 1 hour…..

to get 500 dragonite ore im forced to play temple events, dragon events or i need to conquer keeps/castles. everything i tried to avoid since its zerg content that i dislike. shall i afk farm this stuff?
whats anets solution to this? i dont want to play zerg content and i dont want to be caught by timers etc.. and i cant work on it alone or with friends…. there is always need of a big grp to do it….. content for small grps is needed. till now i could just avoid it without missing anything big.
i probably have to say the q word…..

with this new awesome ascended stuff it becomes a joke….

why in hell do we get owned like this?
i need to equip 3 chars but im not allowed to run the same thing twice….?

the reward system is lacking hard…. there is no reason why i shouldnt be able to run everything with every character once….

its ridicolous….there is no other game that punishes u for playing 2 or more chars.

there is soemthing going wrong in this game and with the development….

its not about a period where u r able to obtain it. its gated so u cant craft it even though u got all mats. everything u craft is on a timer that forces u to log in every day to make your craft.
its rly bad. ppl who log in every day have an advantage compared to ppl who log in 3 days a week. even though both ppl r playing 20 hours a week the person who logs in every day has an advantage

if i got every crafting materials on the first day i still have to wait 2 weeks and log in every day to craft everything.

the “no advantage” if u dont spend money on the auction house is over. u can buy a legendary with best stats in game instantly for c.a.kittens just wrong to upgrade them with the patch. stats shouldnt change. there should only be the option to upgrade them to ascended.
legendary has alsways been about the skin. now its about the stats. since ascended weapon crafting is gated its pain in the a….
basicly it means if i dont want to wait 2 weeks to get the best stats ingame i just need to spend some cash and buy a legendary.

this is against everything gw2 stands for. the f2p gemshop thing is a nightmare….

Ascended is a permanent addition… it is NOT time gated.

u r not able to see and understand the problem. there is a problem and u r just not able to get it. it has big impact on the game and im just not sharring anets opinion on that.
and u r basicly saying only your opinion is correct. im not going into this. im not the only one who disagrees with anets direction.
i know there r alot but they dont post on this forum…. no one in my guild thinks these changes r great but they dont write here because they dont think anything will change. im still in hope.
the game is great but upgrades lately arent. and if they stick to their living story with gated unsatisfying zerg content many ppl will leave.
they could make it better. they need to overthink their ideas. living story > all and more rng = better. its just wrong but they dont see it. most ppl hate it but they stick to it. imo they dont know whats going on in the community. maybe its just the marketing models fault.

It doesn’t force anyone to do anything. If people would stop thinking they need to have their ascended weapons all done at once and instead picture it as long term thing much like legendaries then they’d be way better off and stress themselves out less over them.

a weapon that deals 10% more dmg in wvw is a big deal. in this case it doesnt rly affect me because im not playing wvw a lot.
but it effects my weapon choice and this is just bad. i like running gs axe/mace and the only reason i need to stop this is because once i got a ascended GS it deals more dmg and any other set i could run and there is no need of any other sets anymore. it also makes my sigil of night useless because for that i need 2 same weapons….
if weaponset A deals 10% less dmg than weaponset B no one would take weaponset A.
and it is some sort of pay to win the first weeks. ppl with legendarys have an advantage and u can buy them by spending money.

im not against ascended weapons or any kind of progress. it just hurts to see them beeing implemeted like this.
is anet aware of the problem that many ppl r running more than 1 weaponset with different sigils?
for example:
im running my warrior mainly with gs, axe/mace or gs axe/axe and if needed im using a warhorn or a shield. im also using a rifle and a bow. everything depending on the most effective way to play in every situation.
im also using different sigils.
i got 3 axes. 1 axe with sigil of force. 1 axe with sigil of battle and 1 axe with sigil of night!!
depending on what im playing, im switching my weapons. between mob groups, bosses etc..
what does it mean for the future? im running around with 7 weapon.
im running gs axe/mace for the best possible dps. in the future this build is dead until i got 4 or 5 ascended weapons. this will probably take 5 month or something. it will cost a lot of gold and i need to transmute them again….

this is a problem because it forces ppl to play specific weapons. the moment i got 1 ascended gs there is no reason to run any other weapons because the 10% dmg boost i got from running 2 sets is gone. so im running around with gs only…. what is pretty lame….

im not playing wvw a lot. but what about ppl who run different weapons with different stats aswell?

this time gated ascended stuff kills twinks, build variety and weapon variety.

nothing new for me but its a good video.
most discussions on these forums r pointless because ppl cant see the matrix behind the game. there is a reason for everything. everything new needs to fit some criteria. for a “f2p” game the first point on the list is “needs to generate money”
if u take a look at every single update in the past and scan it by these criteria u will realize whats the reason for this kind of content. its not for satisfying us. its to keep us busy and to creat resons to come back.
the situation with dailys and laurels is a good example how we get forced to log in every day. u get punished for not playing every day. if u r playing 10 hours a week its a big difference if u log in every day for 1 or 2 hours or if u play 10 hours at one day. the gated content punishes u if u dont log in every day.

we need 5 player content that can fail. there need to be more content for smaller grps. something where u got the oportunity to improve things. with a zerg of 500 ppl its again rng if everything works out. im so sick of these horrible development decisions.

imo current game modes r lacking. the hole fight mechanic is a mess. in a 3 vs 3 u cant see anything. its jumping and dodging around in a cloud of something. its messed up.

challenging content in this scale is horrible. i bet 50% of the playerbase is playing these events with 10fps. if something that doesnt run smooth is challenging its just annoying. ppl will stay afk and auto attack and when it takes more than auto attack everyone else gets punished for afk ppl.
