Reason why you have boon stripping, and Thieves stealing.
Already did, thanks.
Yep, still unable to purchase gems by use of a credit card. This saddens me because I really really really really wanted to purchase something. This makes kittah super sad.
Attempted to purchase gems last evening, and was given “An Error has occurred. Please try again later.”
Tried again about 10 minutes ago, and still getting the Error has occurred message. Currently unable to purchase gems from the gemstore using credit card.
I do know that some GW1 accounts may not be there anymore. They had a “house cleaning” before beta launch of GW2, in order to free up character Names. But I don’t know if that was them deleting some characters and/or accounts. Not to sure how that really worked.
But I do login to my old GW1 account at least two or more times a year now, just to keep it “active”.
But who owns the VPN? And why would it work over the path that regular traffic wouldn’t work with?
Couldn’t tell you, but nearly every week, when I login now it says a code has been sent to my email and to enter that code, just to get in the game. Weekly now, after I switched internet providers. Each time I keep telling it to remember the IP, and every week it acts like it can’t remember.
It states Email Authentication when I go to login and it asks for the code.
Try logging into your Guildwars 1 account, then re-logging into the Guildwars 2 account.
I’d say send a support ticket, giving the phone #, that way you don’t have to worry about posting it here.
That’s ok, been crafting for the last couple of weeks, and you know that elongated wood whittling sound it makes when an item is being crafted, well after your done it continues to make that sound except it’s slightly muted. It only ends when I leave a city after crafting. If I remain in the city, it just continues to make the sound of crafting but muted.
NA Oregon, Spectrum Charter, Sunday April 23rd between 8pm and 12am PST.
I don’t know about that. Tried surfing the web yesterday, and was only able to connect to some websites but not all.
For example, I could not go to msn.com or yahoo.com, foodnetwork.com
But I was able to go to youtube.com which worked perfectly with no problem.
It was like 9/10ths of the internet just decided not to work. Or should say the big name sites weren’t working.
I only recently changed net services to Spectrum Charter last month, but everything was running smoothly until yesterday.
Still net is working fine today, game was tweaking out on switching characters while in game. And Black Desert and Aion are acting like loadup is to much to handle.
I still say they need to increase speed of the pet. I’ve never outran a bird, a wolf, or a lion in real life, I don’t see how another player can outrun one as well in the game. Or that the attack of an animal is timed in seconds, instead of random milliseconds.
I’ve never met a person yet whose been mauled by an animal, be able to count in seconds the number of bites and claw rakes they receive. This is how an animal in GW2 attacks. Run, reach target, if target moves or stays stationary, bite. The pet then counts, one Mississippi, two Mississippi, bite, one Mississippi, two Mississippi, bite.
Opponents never worry about a pet. In fact when they see certain types of pets, they know what to expect from that specific pet. “It’s a wolf, it uses howl, so i’ll use stability…” Most of my enemies know what my pet does, they can also sadly outrun the pet also whether it swims, runs, or fly’s.
The pets are kind of ‘slow’ in all regards, from movement, to attack. I shouldn’t be counting Mississippi’s during a pets maul, and that’s how I find out just how many times it actually bites a target.
Ranger bows have an ‘arc’ of fire. Forward, Forward left, and forward right. If your target is rear, Rear left, or rear right, your bow skill goes on immediate cooldown as if it “failed to hit target”. I agree that is quite annoying. If you ever played GURPS, you’ll know what i’m talking about the arcs with the hex positioning charts they have.
In the past it was reported that when you fire the bow, no matter where your opponent was standing, the arrows would fire through your own body in the direction of the enemy, while you were still facing the same direction when you activated the skill. For example if the enemy was standing behind you, and you were facing away, you’d fire the bow, but the arrows would shoot out your back and hit your target.
And here we have the ‘arc’ system.
I kinda wish that if an enemy moves behind me, that when I fire the skill, that my avatar would automatically spin to fire on the target. However that’s not how it works. You physically have to face your avatar towards the opponent, and hope that your arc forward, forward left, forward right is facing towards the opponent. Otherwise you fired your shot, your shot “missed” and it goes on cooldown, wasting the skill.
Many thieves use this to their advantage with backstab ability, because their skills do massive damage to the rear of the opponent or the side arc rear left, or rear right. When a ranger sees the thief, we actually have to turn our body’s to fire on the enemy, if we want a chance to ‘hit’.
When it comes to combat, I’m afraid ranger’s aren’t very good at ‘dancing’, and quite a few opponents will circle a ranger while dealing damage, leaving the poor ranger attempting to “maneuver” with Longbow or Short bow in hand in order to face our enemy.
Many opponents that regularly target Rangers first, know this, hence why rangers are easily torn down fast. Any skill that roots a character in place is also a death sentence, especially when the opponent can just side step away, and hit is from the backside. Axe #5 for a short period of a two months I was able to shock the enemy pretty good with the massive splurge of damage. But after that the shock wore off, and they just side step back or to the side, wait a few seconds, then jump right into me.
Black Desert and Aion are having the same issue, which is why i’m starting to believe it’s an NCsoft issue.
Now i’m switching characters in Guildwas2, and it’s starting to kick me from the game.
Actually this started last night around 9pm PST. Was doing WvW, and decided to leave, except of having my avatar reappear where I last was in tyria, I was kicked from the game. Went back into the game, was able to get in easily, however when I attempted to waypoint to Akk Wilds Waypoint was kicked from the game. Happened three times while attempting to hit that waypoint, so I chose another waypoint within Metrica and was then able to access that region. However once in that region, was not able to hit up another waypoint outside that region without getting kicked from the game.
Also noticed issues with logging into Black Desert Online, and Aion.
Is this an NCsoft issue we’re having all over again? Because Black Desert is slow loading, and Aion is slow loading up to the point that the program for loading in shutsdown, and wants you to close it or continue to wait.
Your stuck in this party….forever.
Some game cards act as prepaid phone cards at retailers. There is a small chance that your card was not “activated” when purchased from the retailer.
The bounty system would not work. The person in question would create a second account, run both accounts simultaneously (which is possible from what I have been told), and kill the character. The same person would then earn the bounty reward. You would be doing nothing more than feeding and equipping the person you placed a bounty on. I have no doubt they then would proceed to properly equip all their characters, and you’d be making an enemy who will only outclass you even more.
Reason why you see LB & Axe/Axe on a ranger is for what is called the double burst. Works great in PvE, works semi-ok in PvP against someone not expecting it, and only works 1/2 the time in WvW.
Basically longbow at range with rapidfire, as you wait for the enemy to close the distance, or in the case of fighting another long distance opponant, you’ll close the distance yourself. Once distance is closed, switch to Axe/Axe and burst #5. Can’t say it works all the time. If you have sharpening stone on, you can bleed a foe pretty good. Throw in Axe#2 (at face to face distance) to throw on more bleed, and having a Superior sigil of earth….well I think I pushed up to 26-30 stacks of bleeding.
But yah Axe/Axe from what I seen, and use comes down to a second burst after Longbow rapidfire.
Sadly the whole condition clearing of most professions make stacked conditions nearly avoidable. Stick a sigil of nullification on one axe, and throw generosity on the other. Throw conditions back at your foe, and take away their boons.
Lots of experimenting with stats and runes to make things even more interesting.
After seeing the server names that people would be allowed to join, I automatically knew that Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood was going to fill up pretty fast, due to Factions from the original Guild Wars.
But went Jade Quarry because of the imagery and societies along the coasts. I care for the server mostly because of pride really. You joined, you learned the strategy, you learned the tactics, and you bonded with the people that fought beside you, and those that lead you to victory and/or defeat. It’s something that you carry with you.
Yes! Let’s do it! Let’s have a bunch of servers lose or come in last place and have more people server jump to the “Winner’s server”.
Do you really want the chance of causing another population exodus from low tiered servers. I mean…some people can only take being kicked in the teeth so many times before they give up and ‘join the enemy’ on their server. There are already server matchups in order to alleviate some of the population problems, I don’t see how this will actually help that in any fashion.
Unless you can find a solution to population exodus which occurs AFTER certain servers lose out big time during a Season, then I don’t even see why we need to bring Seasons back.
Does anyone else find that kick from the game annoying or disturbing?
Several patches back, there seemed to have an error occur. Apparently at the end of round in Edge of the Mist, or the reset at end of the weak for regular WvW, you no longer get the screen warning that the round has ended and that you will be removed from WvW and placed back into the actual Tyrian world of where you last were.
Instead, at end of round, you get no warning and immediately EJECTED not just from WvW, but the game in it’s entirety. Then you have to grab your character and go back into the game.
So i’m guessing this is an error or bug. However this was reported three patches ago as a bug/error.
I look forward to the next patch fix for this particular, i’ll call it a small annoyance. Rather liked the message at end of round, how my character would be gently lifted from wvw combat and placed back into the tyrian world. Awaiting to hit the Enter button again to once more fly into the faces of my enemy shouting, “FOR POPTARTS!” as I charge into the face of death.
I’m sorry anet removed the No White Swords Wintersday, that forced the player population to actually be active Home Body’s inside towers and keeps and WATCH for enemy. I miss it.
Being a scout/defender of a tower or keep for 1-1/2 years, being told to get into teamspeak to inform comm about enemy movements, numbers, and location….and then finding out your muted and NOT allowed to share this information because your not part of the comm’s guild. For 1-1/2 years.
I laughed when No White Swords Wintersday showed up. Forced those same guilds to mandate time’s/hours/locations of their own player base to do the job I used to do. And they still can’t do it right.
Watching the new so called “scouts” give ANY information about enemy movement/numbers/locations…if at all, until it’s far to late.
Best quote scene from WvW in teamspeak.
“That was a T3 TOWER, why wasn’t I told there was enemy there!” ~ JQ Unnamed Comm in teamspeak.
“We had someone in the tower who posted in chat the enemy forces and how many and % of the gate….” ~ Comm’s guildy in teamspeak.
“Why he not speak up in TS!” ~ Comm in teamspeak.
“BECAUSE YOU HAVE ME ON MUTE IN TEAMSPEAK YOU DUMB (Very nasty language on my part)!” ~ My response in map chat.
I was always good at shutting down conversation in Teamspeak in any type of forum. And that shut everyone up for about 10 minutes.
It’s no good to have a SCOUT in teamspeak, if you do not give PERMISSIONS for that individual to speak. It does you no good to have your Guildies be able to talk in teamspeak, and those members of WvW guilds only be able to speak…if those same guilds and members are NOT the scouts in your towers or keeps. A lot of your best scouts are not in your main WvW guilds or in your guild specifically.
So if you have a scout…change the PERMISSIONS in order for them to actually be able to SPEAK UP to give you the info.
You knuckle dragging…..
If I recall Tarnished Coast and Blackgate did quite a bit of “teaming up”, when fighting Jade Quarry back in Seasons. However I treat TC members not so much as RP, but as Duelists. Yes you’ll have quite a bit of fun as an RP server in PVE. But come into WvW, you best be prepared for lots of “gentleman’s” agreements when it comes to proper fighting etiquette on their server.
TC during it’s bottom of the heap tier level early on, and a few other servers, came up with a way to fight in WvW with a low population. Roughly an equal amount of people on the servers would meet up at the southern camp near the windmill, and fight. Mostly came out this way after Season 1 in wvw, due to people transfering to servers that were considered tier 1. This created a huge Server imbalance when people were jumping ship from servers that consistantly lost during Seasons. Those that stayed behind on their original servers started to lag behind in WvW fights and getting dropped to the lowest tier’s due to this population loss.
Enter the duelist’s who came up with the idea of a ‘fair fight’. Equal numbers. 1v1 or havoc 5 man vs. same amount. And in some cases guilds would host 30 vs 30 fights. Your probably on one of the most honorable servers that I know of. Except for that one instance where they hooked up with Blackgate to beat up their opponants. Of course that was the first and last hookup because they learned the hard way of what a knife in the back is all about too.
Still TC did start climbing the rungs, due to it’s RP status and that several high tier level WvW guilds wanted more of a challenge and decided to change servers. Hence the rise of TC to a top rung.
I’d say it’s a good choice for your particular likes.
I have fun running LB, Axe/Axe. Can’t say the majority of the skills on the bar are very helpful, except for pulling enemy to you and offhand #5. However when I charge an enemy with rapidfire, close the distance, then switch to axe/axe to cleave with #5, I can seriously do major damage to many. For the heavy warriors, guardians they usually just go invuln on my rapidfire and don’t expect a ranger to go hand to hand. When i’m up in their face they use their cleaving, when I hit my Stone signet, then retaliate with axe/axe #5. After that, pull back go back to longbow, and start the process all over again.
Would however like to change up my Nourishment. What would you reckomend for Nourishment for a ranger going axe/axe? I tend towards Omnomberry Ghost for health steal, but I’m open to suggestions.
I ran this last night with a couple of guildies. And yes the same thing did occur, where Modremoth became invulnerable. However, I noticed he had an active break bar, and when I used a Crowd Control skill on it, it fluctuated. So I told the guildies to take down the break bar, and when it was gone, THEN we could start damaging him. The fight progressed normally after that. If he goes invulnerable, and nothing seams to continue, try taking out the break bar.
I do know if you do not have enough CC, or enough players with CC, if that break bar stays up, you may be unable to progress.
Monthly and daily….15k….
Well schucks. And here I didn’t think it was combined. Ok…I suppose that’s that then.
I noticed three to four days ago that I was a tally of 26,984. And that the tally was NOT increasing from dailies anymore. I’m now at 26,999 but that was from getting a Luminecent armor piece achievement.
That’s what it shows in my achievement log.
Never. I joined Jade Quarry, because I knew it was going to have a large amount of WvW players out of the Guildwars 1 Jade Quarry. I also knew that Fort Aspenwood was going to be a large server due to the Fort Aspenwood community from GW1 also. Always knew JQ and FA was going to have a big server community.
Alas the WvW Seasons kinda made people want to be on “winning” teams, and THAT forced a population unbalance, because everyone wanted to be winners. And quite a few of the servers went to hell population wise because of it.
I’m not to sure if it’s a bug or not, but I noticed that i’m no longer accrueing achievement points for daily completion.
11,999 permanent
13,384 daily
1,616 monthly
Did I reach a cap for daily, and it will no longer accrue? I had noticed this after the three days of the continued DC’ing. But now I wonder how long it hasn’t been accrueing after daily completion.
I don’t know, but i’ve been told, Jade Quarry is good as gold.
Over the last four years, i’ve heard nothing but groans from people about water combat. “I don’t like it”, “It slows me down”, “I don’t do as much damage in the water than I do as on land.”
What i’d like to see, just to shut all you water haters up is a full on elemental water combat. Domed keeps/towers, with hexagonal walls or glass shields. Siege subs instead of golems. Water beasts that lurk small groups or entire zergs. Maelstroms, water spouts. The map would have portions of the towers/keeps both underwater and breaking the surface, so you’d still have a choice of either taking apart from below sea level or above it.
I would love nothing more than to create such a HEADACHE for most of the WvW base, because at heart, I LOVE water combat. I adore it.
One thing I’ve been hammering into WvW players this year is…you do not have to fight alone. Hell that’s been a Jade Quarry motto for years, “YOU DO NOT FIGHT ALONE!” I consider solo, who only WANT to solo to be kinda anti-social or loners. There’s a few specializations and/or builds used by other players that i’m pretty much outclassed by, and I freely admit it.
There is absolutely NO stigma to fighting beside an ally, or using NPC’s or the terrain to your advantage. No stigma, except for what you individually perceive to be a stigma associated by fighting beside another person. I’ve been solo killed so many times, that it comes second nature to me to find the nearest ally or friendly group, and lure the enemy in to be killed by concentrated firepower.
It’s World vs. World vs. World
It’s not solo play, it’s team play. Learn to be part of the team, and learn to make use of allies. It won’t kill you to try. Then again it might kill you no matter what.
Ladies and gentlemen. Arenanet heard the anguished cries, and frustrated complaints of the player base many years ago, concerning the elongated que times and waits for entering into battle’s of the mists. Hence they created Edge of the Mist, which by it’s very nature was an overly large waiting/training/battle area.
Edge of the Mist IS your lobby if there were Ques on your home world servers for certain areas. If there was a Que for Eternal Battlegrounds, or any number of the Borderlands, you could shoot over to the Edge of the Mist. In Edge of the Mist, you could run around and fight and/or train/learn the basics while you waited your turn in the actual fight Que.
Creating another ‘lobby’ isn’t really needed. Edge of the Mist was nothing more than a waiting room, where you could release your WvW frustrations while waiting for “Actual combat”.
I’m not too sure why we added the Siege Cannons to WvW. It doesn’t hit with the damage of an actual placed tower/keep cannon, and with the power creep of the specializations, it hardly does anything to a zerg anymore. Granted I can still rip to shreds any uplevels that come my way, but “Specialization” zergs, or zergs where the majority of the zerg is all specializations, the cannons are nothing more than Shirt Shooters. Lotta noise, but with a 100% cotton feel, and won’t cause bleeding or high amounts of damage. I mean COME ON! It’s a CANNON! The headless horseman is headless because he had his HEAD shot off for the six god’s sakes!
To tell the truth I didn’t want siege cannons for one purpose only. I did NOT want to play Sid Meier’s Civil War. Build a bunch of cannons on the ‘field of battle’, line up shoulder to shoulder and just stand there while being shot at? What? Some havoc is going to build 5 cannons out in the field, and then …wait…to get ran over by a zerg? NO no, the zerg will imiplement column marching 2 men thick, 7 men long….and then they’ll WALK towards the cannons.
As for defense….I saw mostly weakness of the damage of the Siege cannon, I saw the placements of the siege cannon, and I knew the specializations can dish out MORE damage SOLO, than a single siege cannon can actually throw back. So overall, I destroyed a Siege cannon faster with rapid fire on ranger, than it could do to me overall in less than 30 seconds.
The defensive mentality of Arrowcart vs. Cannon was even worse. Case in point some guy built 10 Siege cannons along the northeast wall of the Badlands keep in Edge of the mist. All these cannons were unmanned and pretty much along the wall in a way that anybody and their momma could come up and just destroy them one at a time within about 1 – 2 minutes with no problem. Nobody built arrowcarts on the inner defensive line of the wall. Practically wasn’t smart.
If your going to build cannons on the outer lip of the wall…might wanna think about building Arrowcarts on the inner lip and stagger it further and away from the cannon, not directly behind it. This will greatly give you GREATER FIREPOWER, and won’t put all your siege eggs in one basket. It all won’t get nuked if you place them to close together. Enemy wants to destroy the cannon, they have to get close to it, but that also puts them in close range of the arrowcart fire. So between Siege Cannons and Arrowcart fire, you’ll be able to more accurately decimate your foes. And you’ll have an easier time of defense.
This of course…if a defender instituted it, would probably see more Trebuchet and Siege golem warfare on the battlefield.if you wanted to break in against a fully determined defender.
As for defenders and attackers, remember one thing. Your skills on your skill bar hit up to a max of 5 players roughly. Siege hits up to 50 players. So if your on the wall, or below it and you use your pew pew skill, your gonna hit 1-5 targets. If you use the siege, your gonna hit up to 50 targets. If your standing next to siege, USE THE SIEGE!
Actually I sold off more than 300 Vials of Linseed oil recently, and the amount of gold was in the 200+ range. So if your very patient, farm + craft, and/or get a lucky drop, you can easily get 300g in order to purchase the tag. I don’t even want to deal with a bunch of commander ‘trolls’ that literally try to split up the zerg by sowing confusion in WvW. We have some pretty bad constant siege trolls, and when they tag up they’ve lead us astray pretty badly. Having three or more dozen players with tags on the same map pulling group cohesiveness 360 degrees, it’s not to pretty. The last time I saw a Dorito party in WvW it was over 30 players and there was a great deal of confusion of “who to follow”.
I treat Commanders/Tags/Dorito’s like I treat the Brittish empire of the 1800-1900’s. Your rank was purchaseable by how much you payed the navy or crown. That’s no different here. Whether the person has the ability to understand tactics, strategy, and earn the respect of those that follow them, that’s something a Compendium just can’t help you with. And you better remember that. Just because you have a tag, if the group doesn’t respect or trust your leadership, it’s going to be a big whopping 300g loss.
Been playing WvW since beta really, but the first instance I saw a Run-A-Way Warrior was about 2 years ago. Basically it was in Eternal Battlegrounds, and our Lowlands waypoint kept being contested. When we had someone check the walls and gates, could never find anyone. So I actually decided to sit and watch. Low and behold from the moat there was a Warrior that came up to our back gate, started smacking it, and just started to jog away. The chase was on. Being ranger, I had a consistant speed buff skill, so my jog was just a tad faster, and I started to burst his back side with arrows. However he flipped on a few skills and began to pull away…and continued to pull away…and then continued to pull away to the point he disppeared off my screen. Besides running the objectified Runes of the Centaur, he had his weapon and traits specifically set for either speed, or quick jumps to elongate the distance between us. Sorry to say, the only way to actually get these guys is to Crowd Control constantly and very quickly. Otherwise their speeds and ability to throw out invulnerability, makes them nothing more than greased pigs.
Prevent krait from kidnapping Okarinoo quaggans
It wasn’t bad enough, that a legendary collection item was placed on the Champ Shark, which only spawns if the meta-chain event fails.
But now….even if the krait capture a Quaggan, they just circle the cavern underwater repeatedly. So there’s no chance for the event to fail in any capacity.
Far from me to use to much sarcasm…congratulations.
1. Event chain must fail in order for Champ Shark to spawn.
2. Nobody, except the person that needs the item in question, will ever allow the event to fail, because their gaining Karma and Xp for personal use.
3. Now it doesn’t matter, because the krait just swim in circles, thereby making sure the event never fails.
Why did you people even put the item on a creature that only spawns if an event fails. Besides Orr, nobody is going to let an event fail if they can gain something out of it, including karma and Xp.
When you can’t WvWvW, then go Edge.
From what I heard over the last couple years, Anet considered siege trolls/spies as part and parcel of the WvWvW combat system. In real world war/battles you’ll have spies, and sometimes those spies will use any means necessary in order to cause havoc behind enemy lines.
I’m JQ, and the worst we ever had of it, was couple of dillweeds that built over 50+ Rams in our own home keep in Eternal Battlegrounds. We hit a siege cap, and were unable to BUILD rams ANYWHERE else on the map. During that time the person in question ran and kept the rams from despawning by going and resetting the timer on each. We continuously reported this person for up to two months I believe. And I can’t ever remember a single word from anet other than a review of the Siege Cap mechanism within the World vs. World combat system.
Now the siege trollers throw down the oddest siege in the strangest spots, or they throw siege proverbially on the Supplies themselves, so the first thing we do is grab the siege, instead of the supplies. Makes it harder to grab supplies.
Still after two years, I havn’t heard or read one single missive about certain players “abusing” a system that was supposed to be “fun” for all participants. Then again I’m sure they have a Boss, somewhere in those offices who uses the term, “Bring me solutions, not problems.” That’s the worst kind of boss, because if you have a solution to the problem, why even bring to the boss. And that’s what the boss doesn’t want, with problems being brought to them. So I wonder if all these problems about “Siege Trolls” is actually brought to the attention of anyone in higher authority at Anet anymore. Especially if the person bringing the problem to light, doesn’t have solutions to go along with the problem. Then again…lot of bosses I know don’t think what you consider to be a problem, to be any problem at all.
The comment above about the “voting” wouldn’t work, because some guilds as a WHOLE, are complete jerks, and they’d get their entire guild to “vote” people they didn’t like out of WvW….casuals, certain professions (rangers), communities (LGBT), ….seriously? A voting system would be abused, and you know it. Hell, a single player with dozens of mule accounts would be able to kick you right out the door then now wouldn’t they.

I did notice the necro’s are starting to spawn their minions, up top of walls of the keep/tower that they are at. Was in Eternal Battlegrounds, and there were minions spawning on top of the tower I was defending. Also in Jerrifer tower, the enemy is still able to get “grounded” beneath the floor of the courtyard there, and are able to attack people above ground, although we can’t hit or target them. This time is was an Ele with continual dagger/dagger earth attack.
Also was attempting to run down an enemy warrior in Edge of the Mists, finally figured I wasn’t going to able to capture them. Just as I was about to give up the chase, all the sudden this warrior speeds to 120 miles per hour and from a small foot race turned into a V8 engine in a drag race, and exited my view from 10 feet to nothing in less then 3 seconds. I only saw this once before with another warrior in Eternal battlegrounds. At that time, there was no lag, and no FPS skipping. It wasn’t a 15% or 25% speed boost of any sort. It was like a 200% speed boost of some sort.
At one time, thieves were able to shadow step past the first gate on the back side of Valley in Eternal Battlegrounds. Since they were between first and second gate, they could harass the waypoint without nobody knowing where they were. Since when you enter and exit the door into the keep, you’d bypass the thief, and never know he was there. The only time I found out was I had heard the attack, AND SAW, the 2nd gate as if something smacked it. I went up to the oil, looked down, and there was the enemy thief. Keeping our Waypoint contested for hours on end.
So yah, obviously WvW has some issues to work out. But like one of those thieves once told me, on how they were able to shadows step past the first gate is, “Well it’s Anet’s problem, and if their to stupid or lazy to fix it, I’ll continue to do it.” The users of these obvious problems are NOT the one’s that report them, since the problem usually persists months on end. They figure, they can exploit it as long as anet doesn’t fix it. And that’s what they do.
On your load up screen where your characters are, there is a World Selection button on the bottom left, just next door to the Log Out button.
Press that, World Select popups. There’s a drawdown right where it says Location: (with America and Europe as choices). Click on the American choice, then choose WHICH American server you wish to join. After you choose there is a button on the bottom right that says Guest and Transfer. You hit transfer…..BUT…….
……It will cost you so many Gems in order to transfer from one server to another. And Gems will either cost you so much Gold within the game that you could earn…or you’ll have to use real cash in order to purchase Gems.
It’s not free. Well…unless you wanted to DELETE all your characters, in which case it would be free. But if you only recently created the account, you may have to wait up to 7 days before it allows you to do so.
Good luck.

Their servers use an algorithm to detect certain sequances.
Do you really wish for your account to get locked up, on the off chance? It sounds cool, but it’s not a total human that detects the macro usage.
The computer reads the macro usage, sends a red flag to the team at anet. They then have to look at your account, and look at why your account raised the flag in the first place.
In essence, did the Beatles use a macro? Did Led Zepplin use a macro? Did Metallica use a macro?
Did the Air Guitar guy use a macro?
HELL NO!

If you haven’t used Paypal in a while, you may need to update your Card information with them. Many banks, including Chase, has changed from MasterCard to Visa, and any card after March 31st with MasterCard label on the Chase card will no longer be accepted. They issued new cards within that same month, with new card numbers and with the Visa label on them now.
So if your card information with Paypal is not up to date, or you did not receive a mail from your bank stating their switching the Credit Card company they are using, might be a bank issue too.
