The actions of DE in the dungeons would help back up the Pact forces. Each dungeon solves a major issue in their areas that would otherwise eat up manpower and resources that could have gone to the Pact. Getting DE to hug and be friends again is only a minor part of it. The only one that really doesn’t is honor of the waves, and that’s just because the Kodan are jerks who only help themselves and dump their problems on everyone else (You think those Quaggans like having a sinking iceberg ship overflowing with icebrood parked over their city?)

I don’t think they were always subterranean though, or at least not entirely. There are several places in the world where you come across ancient ruins from a lost Asuran civilization. There’s one in Mnt Maelstrom being researched by the Priory and I believe there’s one in the Straits of Devastation near Fort Trinity.

I’ve always thought of the Mists as the space between dimensions. From it, you can access the afterlife, alternate worlds, the home of the gods and so forth. It’s an “inbetween.”

I’m not sure where this should go, but since this is the money making section, I’ll stick it here. We have an interesting economy in the game, a simulation of a real economy. Fake value influenced by real people and factors. What I propose is to take a step further and implement buying and selling futures. A stock market. How do we do this without major corporations? We already have facsimiles in the game. Asura Krewes. Buy some stock and you are investing in a potential future return plus profit if the krewe is successful on their project. Perhaps they will fail, perhaps they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams or perhaps the Inquest will steal everything and make their stock worthless. Or you could invest in the Inquest itself, the organization some say is too big to fail. You could also invest in values.

Well, look at it this way. While the bigger races get a better camera angle, asura can at least to jump puzzles without the camera flipping out every time you get near a wall. Mostly.

The Asura are an older race, and apparently have had access to magic longer. I think the whole sealing and unsealing of magic in the bloodstones only applied to the surface races. The gods may not of even known about Asura until they set foot on the surface.

No it isn’t. The Asura are some of the most violent people. Look back to their story quest. When Inquest steals your things, the first response isn’t “We should fight this legally and get the proper authorities involved once we prove inquest tampering!” It’s “Let’s go murder everyone involved and everyone they ever cared for!” And it’s not just Inquest, lore wise, Asura are constantly backstabbing, stealing from and sabotaging rival krewes to get ahead. They aren’t a peaceful race, they’re a race in a constant gang war with each other.

It would be interesting, though, if the Skritt “hivemind” effect interfered with Zhantain’s control over risen Skritt and that’s why he doesn’t use them.

With the amount of tar and oil the Flame Legion can summon up at will, often to try and clog up the other legions water supply, the Charr could easily be running gas or kerosines.

They say the Sylvari are immune to Zhaitan’s corruption, as they can not be turned to risen, but what other plentiful races are absent from Zhaitan’s army?

Skritt, Jotun, Centaurs, Grawl, and Dredge. Surely if Zhaitan is willing to use Quaggans, he’d be willing to use any of those, so where are they?

Go to Divinity’s Reach’s central gardens and look up for a good idea of how the solar system is laid out.

Keep in mind that Zhaitan was also being starved around the time you bring him down and was a little unclear as to what was going on, as you had taken down his remote mouth and eyes in earlier missions.

Jennah and Logan’s relationship is based off of the classic Victorian romance ideal. A pure woman of high standing and her loyal knight. They love but no touching, it’s love at a distance, it wouldn’t be proper otherwise. He rides to battle with her scarf on his belt, she thinks happy thoughts about holding hands with him one day. It’s very distant and strange compared to modern romance.

It could also be that the morphing ability was forgotten during a Krait civilization collapse.

The inquest is also organized unlike any other organization in the setting. They’re set up like a modern mega-corporation with a dose of violence and no bothersome ethics.

Now I just need some Inquest pants and I’ll be good.

So let me get this straight. You come across someone outplaying you, claim they’re hacking because you don’t know what you’re doing and then cry about it on the forums. Then call up your guild and kill him, then grief him and then brag about it on the same thread you called him out for hacking. Way to go champ.

That said, Kudu does seem to be the only one continuing with Snaff’s research rather then putting it on an alter to worship from afar. What exactly does Zojja do again when she’s not judging contests?

From what I figure from listening to the other npc’s around the Asura areas, all krewes are as bad as the inquest, the inquest is just significantly larger and make an easier target to scapegoat.

I don’t know what you bookhas are going on about. All you do is take your chosen partner, slot a few silver into the Babytron-9000 and lick the genetic collector tab. A few minutes later, it produces your 100% genuine baby.

My biggest complaint is the health ticking down. Other then that, this was a pretty good puzzle.

This bothered me when I first started playing my Mesmer, but by the end, you can churn them out so fast it doesn’t matter much.

The first one is a set of karma armor you can nab in a few level 40ish areas.

The human gods left and they took their hair color with them.

If that’s what it takes, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Everyone has a role to play in the war.

If you’re a good kiter and understand your ranges at a glance, you can solo dungeons. It’s not easy but it’s doable and will probably give you carpal tunnel afterwards.

The Asura don’t disregard history, their buildings are covered in it. All that writing on the wall textures is their general history.

I think Asura treat their children like Charr do. They’re raised in an organization while the parents are free to research and watch from afar with pride or disappointment in their achievements.

I had a wild night on CDBL tonight all the way to Garrison. You guys put up a hell of a fight with the back and forth siege between Dawns and Garrison lasting several hours. Hats off.

Talking about alliances is pointless. There’s no way to actually regulate it or even control your own members from ignoring it. If you throw your entire focus onto one or two maps, some jerk is going to see a lack of defense and take his guild in for a capping spree against his allies because it might get them out of the third place slot.

The third placer is never in direct competition with the first placer, he’s just helping the second placer advance while they remain firmly in third. No one wants to be in third place. So third and second fight while first maintains. It’s an imperfect system. Part of it is the players, part of it is the way the game is set up.

Yes, for all the good commanders we have on TC, we have quite a few copycat fail-commanders as well.

The big question is where to the Charr sit in the smaller tanks. The only room is in the big wheel. I used to joke that they were powered by stuffing ascalonian ghosts into the big wheel and making them run.

If you’re going to take a Mesmer’s ability to bypass terrain with a portal, then you should also take away an Engineer’s ability to bypass via rifle jump. We can get rid of ride the lightning too while we’re at it, being able to outrun everyone is just unfair. Know what else is unfair? Necromancers having more then one pet, how do you think the Rangers feel about that?

Well FA’ers, if you feel like you believe that everyone is secretly aligned and against you and that there is no way to win, you can always camp the jump puzzle. There’s always a random person wandering in to get completion you can get their kill off of and know deep in your heart that they are now upset. I’m sure a tactical explanation can be made later as to why you’re in there.

They should randomize the matchups more. We’re facing each other again and probably will next week too. It lets animosity build. Specific players and guilds get singled out. Hell, someone on EB last night was offering 20s per screenshot confirmed kill on a specific guild.

I am starting to get tired of wvw myself. It’s the same thing over and over again. If you’re not zerging, you’re defending from a zerg. It gets tiresome.

I play Staff/GS and built around wvw. I never had a problem in pve with this build. The only downside I can possibly think of is that Mesmers can have lower damage then other classes, especially with the recent iBeserker “nerf”. What they have is survivability and mobility. I never had an easier time moving around Orr. Blinks and near infinite swiftness with Centaur runes and short cd healing and a clone for every risen.

The frozen world, where Jormag won
Rata Sum after it’s main reactor breached with only a lone, insane and cat obsessed survivor.
Grawl pretending they’re flame legion, worshiping either titans or primordius.
Others aren’t easily recognizable. The hated swamp or the dolphin cave filled with statues and so on.

This is hilarious. I went through the first five levels with the first pug group I could find with minimal problem, not all of them were 80’s and only two had exotics. So if you’re having such a problem, maybe it’s you. Maybe you are the problem.

Is that kind of like dumping a thousand dollars in slots in vegas? You won’t win there either. Welcome to gambling.

Someone did translate it. It’s basically a short history of the Asura, a more dramatic version of what’s said at character creation.

Wasn’t Rata Sum originally an abandoned Mursaat city that the Asura claimed? Either way, I always saw Asura science as something akin to Apature Science research. They throw science at the wall and sees what sticks, even if it’s replacing your blood with peanut oil or shooting magic lightning through dead things to see what happens. It’s all very random and very dangerous.
