Makes sense to acquire Gift of battle by actually going into battle. It’s actually pretty quick to get now by going into zerg battles. You get other goodies by doing this as well. It’s more unfair for a wvw or pvp player to do map completion for thier legendary. It also takes way longer for them. I craft many legendaries and acquiring this way is no pain at all. And it brings life to wvw which can be fun when many are playing.
Well I have a full time job a wife 2 kids and a homeowner. I play around 2 hrs a day except on my 2 days off when I play 4 to 6 hrs while everyone is asleep. I manage to get full raid clears and enough gold playing the bltp. I have 21 legendary weapon 2 full sets of armor 2 backpieces and going to get the trinket soon. I’ve been playing since launch. It takes me 3 months most to acquire 1 and that is if I don’t do the trading post. Maximize your time. Do hot daily meta to get that almagamated stone. Do fractal 40 till you puke. Raid raid raid. All while playing the tp. And you too can be legendary like me.
Who cares about them. Are you happy? I am. Alot of the gw2 population are followers. When a pro player post the correct build is when every will be happy with rainbows and kitten. I think some of the new elites will destroy certain parts of the game. The addition of play styles for each profession is a breath of fresh air. Example: scrapper is useless in pve but shines in pvp and good in wvw. I’m in for the new content. I’ll figure out how I’ll play in each situation. And don’t get me wrong I will use elitist builds and tweak them to my liking.
It doesn’t matter where you go you will always find players like this. Shoot I got kicked from a raid because I made the tank nervous on deimos and made him touch black pools, allegedly. Well that’s what I saw before I got kicked. I guess it was my fault I should have quit that poor group after an hr into it, so a TY is in order. I so stoooopid
Can a horse strafe? Then again we are riding a dinosaur.
You are kidding, right? I 1 shot it with the default mesmer build/weps. I was totally blind sided when the mesmer had a staff. I thought it was terribly easy, sorry bro but Git Better at least.
The game looks and feels excellent. I don’t regret prepurchasing. Feels a bit on the easy side. I one shot it on mesmer with the default build/weps before I realized there was a box of goodies. Forgot mesmers used staff Mounts are great can’t wait to use them on the old maps. New enemies was great. I swear I would have lost it if I fought anymore kitten spiders. Granted it is a demo I must say I’m more excited now than ever. Thank you anet for all the work you put into this game.

Gliding for 1 but isn’t needed in the new maps apparently. Certain Stat combination/sigils/runes. And of course the specialiaztion. Granted the new xpac will have its own new set of goodies does not necessarily mean it will be better. For example the scrapper is poor in pve and wvw but fantastic in pvp.
It’s a standalone xpac that will obviously include the vanilla version. So go to queensdale and level your ass up.
Have you noticed that livia, a necromancer, was welding a sword.
Wow I thought the fight was easy, boring and very disappointing. Livia didn’t die at all for me. Anet please do better.
Stop the threads and just get better. If it is to hard for you then it’s not meant to be. Every excuse you use is just BS. There are more then enough tools to help you at your disposal just look and use them. The easy mode raid is called dungeons work your way up like alot of us did. I always pug and raid on the worst hours but I still manage to get my clears.
People rather have trash elementalist than exceptional players. Shame on them.
The game engine is designed around your CPU, not your graphics card. Every time someone comes into contact with you (ie – shows up on your screen) your CPU has to process every single thing they do, from their armor to their skills to their movements. Your CPU has to process that information, make a decision of what it is going to do with it, and then execute it. With every. Single. Person. Around you.
There are only two ways to make it faster: 1) Upgrade your CPU, or 2) Lower your graphics.
Interesting, I recently got a 1070 gpu and I’m having a way better experience then when I was using a 960. My cpu has been the same for over 5 years.

2000 is perfect and shows that they are a true wvw player. In fact I want you to make the armor legendary as well. I’m far from that number but the dedication to reach that number deserve the prestige of that armor with the legendary component. Let all the wannabe wvw crybabies cry. They made the backpiece easy to acquire for all the non wvwers, so stop your nonsense. And to all those wvw players who are there/close to that, bravo to you for sticking with the so called dead game-mode.
Make t3 legendary it’s well deserved for the grind fest.
The raid meta is the optimal choice. Just because it’s the optimal choice doesn’t mean it’s the only choice. You can have a replacement for most of the classes, it just means it may take longer or make it harder and who wants that. Recently, I have done no updrafts gors with 2 necros on the team, without a problem. I have had full might stack in a subgroup with a rev and tempest blasting those fire fields, we just needed a warrior to carry both banners. I even was in a group where they replaced the druids with a rev and tempest doing the healing. Unfortunately chronos are way too valuable to not have 2 of them, but im ok with that. You can play a more varied team comp now, as long as it makes sense and succeed.
Why fish, when you can simply jump in and spear them to death.

Sounds like this guild is one I can count on as fast as kills go. Count me in.
Alternative to raids (legendary armor)

Hours. Days. Maybe when you 1st start learning. You can clear all 4 wings in under 3 hrs. Your right, they should include it in the other game modes. What’s my plan for this you ask. REWARD TRACKS. I mean, yeah, why not. Let the other modes have access to it. Here’s the catch you are capped at 13 Legendary insight total, per accout, per week, regardless of what mode you chose to play. You just need 300LI to craft your set of armor. Thats fair in my eyes. That’s about 23 weeks of grinding everyone has to do, whether you play pve, pvp or wvw. All the other things that have to go into it, like acquiring provisioner tokens, should stay the same. I know people will complain “but pve only used 150 LI for thier 1st set.” Well guess what you can too, just do the kitten collection like we did. Easy.
I started raiding in the beginning of year. I too was afraid to tackle such challenging content. Boy was I wrong. Once I learned the mechanics for each boss I realized how insanely easy it is. Watch the videos on youtube. Use the gear and comp that is recommended and you should have no troubles. I personally feel the armor should stay in that content, for the simple reason to keep it relevant when the new xpac arrives. I started late in raiding and I acquired the armor and it feels great that accomplished something this time last year I didn’t care for.
Hope not and if so, no insights or shards should be givin.
With the warrior buffs there is really no need to make bountiful sharpening stones. Just run 1 warrior with banner of tactics for that extra 10% boon duration you crave.
learn to play issue. use special ability.
kill mobs first. avoid small elementals. run in circle, pick bloodstone and throw. spam that till your break bar. repeat.
I must agree with this. I one shot it the 1st time with a necro.
Wow sorry bro I thought it was easy. Kinda like a weak matthias fight. Throw the kitten shards at him. The ones he drops and the ones that are conveniently placed around the room in piles. Kill the trash 1st when spawned. I did it 1st try without dying with a necro. I’m going to use burnzerker when I do it tomorrow.
Great map. Grear story telling. Great final instance. Thank you for making GW2 great again. The new rifle is meh.
I love using DH. The trick is to unload on someone who uses all his skills early. But I think that’s with all classes tho. I have trouble with good players. And eat bad players for dinner.
Raids are perfectly fine in GW2. No need for hard or easy mode because once you know the fight it gets easier everytime. If you want it more challenging try it with 8 or simple downgrade you gear to blues and greens.
It’s great you can achieve that much on an enemy that does absolutely nothing, but sit there as a punching bag. In a real time confrontation how much dps can you really achieve? Regardless it’s very impressive.
I hope it’s broken up into at least 2 different fractals, one being a boss fractal.
There is an overabundance of legendaries on the TP. Mats are at a low as well.
Upgrade extractor is probably the most useless item in game. If they sold a permanent extractor I would consider purchasing one. Even then I would probably barely use it.
I pug mostly and most of the chronos I had the pleasure never give permanent alacrity or quickness. Which is fine as long as we get the job done. Just because you have a pro build doesn’t make you a pro player.
Raid diversity is not dead. Players just want to mimic what the pros do. Which is fine if it works for you. You can still succeed with necros and revs, it just takes a little longer now
Thank you qt for giving us the updated information. Your hard work is appreciated.
Some you can if you do the legendary journey. Good examples are zap, spark and dusk. Or if a pre drops of course.
Buy Hot on eBay for less than 30 bucks. Just eat ramen noodles for a week. You’ll be fine, its only a week, and you’ll have all this new content to forget the stomach grumblings.
Chrono will never be dead. It’s the only class that gives alacrity. I predict a more diverse group comp. Maybe even a different class tanking, such as DH, with higher dps to make way for a more dps chrono. I don’t see dual chrono or druids for the fact the dps will suffer.
Here are 4 pivotal story instances that should become a fractal.
1. Tower of nightmare with toxic hybrid boss
2. The battle for lions arch with assault knight boss
3. Scarlet briar boss fight
4. Battle for Claw island
And on a side note bring the marionette world boss battle back. So good.
No need to worry Pro raiders will find the new meta post it and all others will follow like sheep. That is the way it always has been. BAAAAAH
Go to the quantify website or check out thier youtube channel. The ps burnzerker is a meta build now used in raids. Guess what it uses sword/torch and longbow with 20k burns.

This is a waste of development resources. The raids are not hard at all, basically 10 man dungeons.
I just started raiding and I feel this statement is spot on. Maybe a hard difficulty in which the raid bosses are at thier last stage throughout the fight.
Thanks for the link. Not the best at these 2 classes so I won’t mind a 5% decrease of dps. Better than being downed often, where that is a huge dps loss.
Just curious how much of an impact this makes. I have a tempest and daredevil currently using marauders because of thier small hp pool. I’m willing to change stats to zerk depending on how much of a damage boost I can get.
Chronos play as what you feel more comfortable with. Whether it be minstrels or commanders. As long as you get the job done is what really matters. For me, minstrel makes more sense because a downed player or bad druid can really ruin your day.
Escort and Trio are considered the two easiest raid encounters. Although, they are more like glorified events than they are bosses. After those, KC and sorta VG are the easiest bosses; KC because the mechanics are simple and avoidable, and VG because everyone pretty much has those mechanics down by now.
Gors and Sloth are about on-par with difficulty. Ultimately, they are simple enough, but groups frequently wipe to them. Sabitha, Matthias, and Xera are by far the hardest bosses.
So I would stick with those in my first paragraph until you feel comfortable progressing.
I started raiding 5 days ago and this list is 100% correct. I love the challenging content and now have my 1st 5 insights. Getting a group when you are learning sucks but once you learn it is fairly easy to complete.
Necromancer. Very versatile and easy to use.
I loved it. I hope they add something like that to the guild hall. Felt like I was in the gw2 version of the xmen danger room.
