I can see where you’re coming from. From the point of view of someone who sees getting stuff in a timely manner an issue, this is all problematical. But some players don’t play that way and don’t see that schizophrenia you’re talking about.
do u maybe know how much playtime is required to get all stacks of t6 materials in not timely manner?

one more option would be lfg for wvw. at this point lfg is totally disconnected from wvw.
why cant we have all the commanders taged on bl, have their name and location put in lfg automatically, until they detag.
so you really think devs will rise lvl cap and have all the people in game have new high lvl and all their gear useless in 2 hours/character!?!?!?!?

as gw1 player i agree completely. i feel let down by the things they did to gw1 in gw2. the list of “things i loved about gw1” is getting shorter each patch. it is a matter of time before this game becomes unrecognizable “not exactly wow clone”.
you really believe tag has been a gold sink? people that wanted tags bought them long ago. people that didnt want them arent gonna buy them anyway. in a way, it is certain percentage of community that finds tag usefull and they already have it. to make this big gold sink out of the small portion of community is not really smart. it would mean that smal portion of community pays gigantic gold sink, instead all of community paying small gold sink (armor repairs).
i dont think this is gold sink mate… this is what everyone else sees it is. its monetization of basic functionality, that should have been in the game from start. pls think about it…
since people learned how to play melee everything did change. unfortunately developers didn’t change the game to better suit you, since this is what you were asking.
gw1 gearing (stats being linked to character, not gear) was one of the “things i liked about gw1”, but never got to gw2:(
i never heard anyone say: gt out of wvw, i dnt wana pay for repairs.
also, people do not play wvw because they need incentive. they play for fights. so making outmaned buff a buff would be more balanced actually, because smaller force can hold against bigger, and when outmaned buff is gone everyone on the map knows that sides are more balanced numbers wise anyway. so it will always be a good feeling to actually loose the outmaned buff. it will not make people go out of wvw because outmaned is gone. people will think: oh, great. enough people loged on map that we can do this…
it is not normal. it is lame. i got kicked out of party the other day with my lvl 75 necro. i just loled:) not to mention i lvled my 2nd character in AC, doing all paths like 100 times…
on the other hand, those ppl speed run the AC anyway which is not my style. i like to play the game, so im not disappointed i wasn’t a part of it.
deso pug commander feedback on new desert bl:
first of all, best thing in wvw in a long time, ty anet.
usually i have a privilege and opportunity to enjoy the wvw with a small number of players. i run with 10-15 guys that know me and like what i do. so this is in a way a feedback from a small havoc squad.
i read a lot complaints on forum about too much pve (i think ppl refer here to shrines mostly). i try to look at it as an additional layer to the wvw mechanics. for me it is not a problem to flip a shrine before i try to go for a keep. this gives enemy additional signal about the next possible target. also if i am defending it gives me the same signal. so there is actually a new layer of tactics involved with the shrines. previously we only had the camps flipping as an indication to enemy movement. this shrine thing kinda balances the response time for defenders in regards to how much bigger the maps are.
middle event is laggy and atm unplayable. but it always gets me excited because i know all the players from across the map will be there and usually it turns into an epic brawl of many roamers, havoc squads and blobs trying to finish it. this is due to the fact that it is “OP” in the best possible way. i mean, nobody wants other server to actually get it. also, since it is a three-way there is a tactical approach to this also. maybe the server that has the least structures wants to help the second server to finish the event (depending on number of players that each server has). or you can look at the server that has the least upgraded structures to get hit for fast splitting over the map and attacking multiple targets at once… at least, that’s what i do. all in all, fix lag, DO NOT nerf.
the map!!! wow, just beautiful. and i do not mean how it looks (also great). i mean the map design. i mean, i cant remember any part of the map that wasn’t carefully designed for fights. we are not talking here about usual open field gvg kind of meta. we are talking about awesome move, hit take the choke, turn around bomb, get up the stairs, refresh, bomb from above, jump on them, push through, hold the stairs etc etc etc etc!!! whoever designed the maps did a great job and i can already see i will enjoy wvw for a long time.
personally i like the new supply mechanics also. for me in a way, the supply that is available in structures atm is great to have. i have a feeling that it balances the buffed defense. i am not sure still if the balance is right. but i can see that buffed defense and structural upgrades could be countered with more supply availability. the problem i have is definitely with auto upgrades. great idea and i don’t personally think it should be changed. with the shrines and all, there is more then enough work for the people that enjoy scouting, but it will need balancing. in my feeling, cannons are up way too fast (maybe 1 hour?). need to take in account smaller groups here also. i still didn’t have opportunity to see blob defending upgraded keep against a blob attacking it, but i doubt that would be much fun due to defense being too strong imo. in short, attackers having more supply available vs defending buffs balance needs to be looked at still.
for end, an invitation to all the wvw players to actually try out new map to the point of knowing all the mechanics and the actual map layout before making a judgement. not appreciating the whole new world of strategy and tactics on many new levels of what wvw has to offer now, because you are used to the old thing is not the way to go. im having a blast, idk whats your problem:P
Day 5.. still waiting for somebody to come 1v1 me behind the windmill..
Captain’s Log, Stardate 43125.8. I have been waiting for 10 days now for 1v1 in wvw. No enemy in sight. I am starting to wonder if wvw is the right place to look for 1v1’s. Maybe spvp would be a better place, although I am not confident that equal stats for everyone is a thing for me. I have decided to wait a few more days in hope of getting some wvw zerg built enemy ganked.
if u run coe with ranger you will be bringing a lot to the pt, but nothing good unfortunately.
good news is that living story can be replayed from this season. so if u miss something, you can do it later… for a fee of course:P
problem is when there is invisible wall on the cliff in the middle of the map. i agree with the OP… it is annoying, nothing else. i climb the cliff and there is no indication of cliff going steeper or anything, but suddenly there is a wall… i dnt like
old system was not good. at least not to servers that got abandoned by wvw guilds. that servers were locked in tiers too high for them and couldnt get out.
only system that could work is one that reacts to population migration and coverage.

not really, because bunkers are not here as reaction to glass cannons, but because of cap point mode of the game. glass cannons are here as reaction to bunkers or as suport to bunkers, so it all started with bunkers
i dnt see how exactly 12 ppl shooting at boss for 15 minutes is gonna be different from 5 man shooting at boss for 15 minutes?

i dont see a reason why minimap should have character in middle, while having half of the map outside of minimap, and other half is just white. id like to see static minimap where i see all of the map at the same time.
Exact same thing happened to Desolation we had HUGE numbers they left and Desolation couldnt recover. I then followed a mate to WhiteRidge
dnt bring deso in this in that way. only thing that happened to deso, is that it lost players like you. we are going up again, with the joined effort of all the real deso players and guilds that have left against all odds.
if deso should be mentioned in this thread, it should be as a sign that it is possible.

i absolutely agree with the OP. it is already in the game and “there are much worse games” argument is childish. however, i don’t mind what OP said is in the game since it is “minor”. but he is also right about saying that existence of those items is harmful, since in my view, sets the stage for expanding on those mechanics.

culing got fixed, and lag got much better. those 2 things really made a difference in improving the game experience.
but yeah, content adding is a fail still. i remember them saying they wanted to focus on making the base of the game as solid as possible in the 1st year, and still, no commander system… is there anything more important for the base of wvw then commanders?
how hard can it be to cap pvp arenas to 20 or 25 players instead of 10?

i didnt want the blue tag, it was only one available. let us reset the blue tag and choose any other available color.
