I’d be more than happy if they allowed mounts to remain active for talking with NPCs, repair stations and things like bounty boards.
If visual clutter at say; banks is an issue. They could simply make it a “No Mount Zone”
How problematic is that?
Besides, it only unmounts you on interact. You can still mount up again immediately after regardless of dialog boxes and other UI elements going on, so it can somewhat defeat the purpose.
Currently however, you get dismounted more often than hearing “more violets, less violence” in this short demo.
An alternative solution is simply remounting after interaction has been had.
I absolutely LOVED the fact these kitten critters could be dyed! It adds quite a nice personal touch to them that I didn’t expect!
However, I was a bit saddened that only the upper half could be dyed!
Here’s hoping that a second channel is to come down the road, even if not in the near future. Can only imagine the possibilities of colour combinations if so!
Something tells me mount skins aren’t an unlikely possibility either!
Would give my charr and asura’s left legs for that extra bit of customization.
cause cd reduction trait doesnt work.
It does, just not in the way you expect unfortunately.
It reduces the cooldowns of the skills of the weapon (aka 1-5) when wielded, not the conjure skills themselves.
Sadly I would have preferred it was the actual skills as well but here we are.
Lorewise I’m more interested in figuring out how they work. How can our character select any WP in the world they have been to before and just travel there, they don’t even have to be besides another WP to do so.
Lorewise, they break alot of things. lol.
Snaff died? Why didn’t he Waypoint?
Logan could have WP’ed to and back from DR before dinner to fight the dragon.
Eir, once again, didn’t WP.
Trehearne had gate issues, despite having a functional WP right outside the fort.
The list goes on.
Honestly, the whole Waypoint thing was really shoehorned in for that LS episode and such. Before that, they were completely ignored by most (if not all) of the characters in the world as if they didn’t exist.
I’ll be honest here.
Having played PvP since it was still in the skins era of rewards, I can say that it’s not entirely all about the PvE carrot.
Especially since I was playing before it was even a thing.
I’m not a top tier player, but I wouldn’t say I’m the worst either.
However, strictly my opinion only; PvP quality overall has been on a drastic decline.
Ever since HOT, it’s been quite rare to find PvP fun with the ridiculous amount of terrible balance decisions made by the team. I dare say its bloody cancerous.
Guaranteed that any sort of people who want to try or get into PvP these days will be extremely frustrated by this.
Heck, even as a seasoned player, it was getting to me. I haven’t even bothered with the last few seasons even with some of the rewards.
What kept me going a few times? Well, there was something to actually get from all that frustration. There was at the very least SOME element that was enough of a drive to continue going forward.
Back then, it was the dozens upon dozens of skins. Which at the time were strictly PvP. They had no use outside it. Useless anywhere else.
But collecting, gathering and looking forward to working towards what you desired IS a great motivator for a game mode.
For some, like myself; A little badge that disappears each season is not an allure at all.
Anet unfortunately has turned what was something to strive for and continue to improve on, into nothing but more frustration.
If PvP itself is frustrating with its balance and isn’t fun for most.
And the rewards are now just as much of a chore.
Why would anyone bother?
Oh! And Braham brings up Snaff like he actually gives a kitten about him, while actively engaging in the exact kind of behaviour that got Snaff killed in the first place.
In retrospect? I wish ‘The Unbroken’ had won the poll for the name of the guild, because now it would be funny.
He brought up alot of stuff, just to throw it at us. He doesn’t actually care one bit what OTHER people have lost. Given a few minutes prior he wrote the human white mantle stuff as “just human crap”.
Braham also has no idea how many people the Commander has lost that they knew, especially that was rather close to him. ALL of which the Commander has spent just as, if not more time getting to know than Braham and Eir.
The first and foremost being our Mentor who died on Claw Island.
Tactician Bern, Tegwyn, Trahearne are also unavoidables.
Heck, you even spend more time with Eir.
Those are just the ones everyone has to go through.
Then we get into personal story.
Charr, right off the hop we lose almost an entire warband. (Which pretty much is family.) Then with the added possibility of having to kill one’s father or already be dead.
Humans also have quite the tragic ones with murdered parents or the possibility of having a dear friend literally being dumped dead half and half in a city as an example.
Needless to say, more than likely the Commander has gone through ALOT of kitten and Braham doesn’t even ask, nor does he care even if you listed off all the people who died. That’s his current mentality and it’s rather unacceptable.
He just used it as a weapon, for his own selfish needs and goals.
This unfortunately isn’t the first time Braham’s rash behavior has caused some issues. Whilst some may consider it merited at the time, it cost quite a fair bit.
When Scarlet was finally confronted (good riddance), we actually had an opportunity to learn. The one chance to know the reasons behind the disaster and perhaps even know more about Mordremoth and maybe even have prevented the incident with the corrupted Sylvari at Verdant Brink.
However Braham, in his angered state with the casualties and destruction in LA decided to take execution into his own hands before consulting anyone else. Ruining any opportunity of learning anything as well as injuring both himself and Majory in the process.
He doesn’t think and his emotions get the better of him, this has almost always been the case. So this kind of attitude doesn’t surprise me. It’s only just become more apparent since the death of his mother.
He’s going to continue doing so until he learns to grow up, or find his actions cause a grievous mistake he will forever regret.
I must say, alot of the outfits have been pretty much declined on my part because of many of the shoulders. Particularly the oversized football ones that plague some of them.
Outfits that for the most part, I would have bought if not for such a glaring eyesore.
The Ninja outfit is a perfect example.
The floating / super sized shoulders have been in a terrible state for a while I think. Most of my toons lack shoulders because of this fact. At least I can turn those off.
I’d rather not pay 700+ gems for an outfit that forces me to keep such “aesthetics”.
Having Elementalists with one viable sPvP build and that being a dedicated healer is not a good place to be.
Which was pretty much Ele’s ONLY viable build as well.
I don’t know about you; but I think having a spot, even if its not a good one is better than no spot at all.
I only really have issues with the Light armor versions, the rest seem fine if you ask me.
However, I can’t say the same for OTHER armors or outfits you’ve made with the female variants that I do wish had also followed suit with the male counterpart for unification.
If you think they are going to fix anything cosmetic related for charr, I hate to disappoint you.
The sport sunglasses I purchases still have issues with charr in many regards and thats as old as the Wardrobe release.
I would suggest seeing about a refund if you aren’t going to use them anywhere else.
I think the issue is mainly that Conditions only need 1 stat to be effectively powerful.
A condition user can then add EXTRA damage through power/precision or go tankier. Because they have that —flexibility-- with that playstyle.
A Condi, Power, Toughness spec for instance will likely survive alot more engagements than a Beserker build. Since direct damage depends alot more on modifiers and 3 combo stats, you give up alot more.
Conditions also have debilitating effects on top of the damage. You are often punished for cleansing just as much as well. Direct damage has no debilitation other than dropping your HP to zero as any damage would. Taking a hit through direct damage doesn’t impact your skills or capability to fight.
Condi users still also benefit from direct damage. They do not lose out on such capabilities, so its not so much a trade off as it is a supplement to damage. Despite it being lower than a glass build, the difference isn’t usually substantial enough to make a difference over personal survival.
Requiring a foe to both worry about the direct damage aspects of pressure to mitigate as well as passive damage proccing from single hits thereafter.
I wouldn’t say Ranger is the weakest.
It’s currently around middle ground. I’d opt there’s quite a few that are in worse spots than Ranger at the moment. Even tempted to say most Guard’s are worse off than Ranger’s at the moment.
(Keep in mind, YOU might be good at Guard, but doesn’t mean most are.)
Personally, I don’t groan when I see a Ranger on my team. They got quite a few things on hand to aid in a good team setup.
That’s the sitch I’m bringing up! If condi is going to decide it should supplement power damage and its strategic effects considered rather than stack condi and watch stuff die. When I experimented with a Viper’s Tempest for example the burning would just be enough to finish off an escaping opponent, teamfights were started in air while I’d use active skills for disengages. It’s still an inferior spec to Mender’s Tempest overall, but even so burning is used to secure a down rather than being the main source of damage. Many classes however have condi as thee damage source on top of lots of impairing condis and don’t even have to worry about cleanses.
Perhaps, but there’s very few classes that use or even have the ability to do conditions intelligently. A condi ele is admittedly pretty darn rare to see and given it has access to only a few conditions (especially damaging ones) they have to be careful when and where they use their condi unlike the laundry list of spammers that are Necro, Mesmer and this one specific thief build.
I’d say this is more of an overall condition application issue than it is a thief build problem. After all this was why Diamond Skin was so popular to begin with. (Because let’s be honest, if DS was still pre-nerf, this thief build would be a joke.)
Toning down one thief build’s mindless dodging (which it will still have even if its nerfed) won’t solve the other mindless ones out there. Even the hybrids that are Burn Guardian and the Warriors I feel still are stronger contenders as well in both survivability and damage.
You haven’t realized yet that killing him is not the point of the game?
So if killing him isn’t point of the game why were bunkers nerfed?
Bunkering relies a lot on passive stats and boons such as toughness and protection. Since conquest is a point holding mode they were (are) a low risk high reward play style. If someone is going to win through conditions it should be through intelligent use of them instead of spamming. If you have two classes on a team that can hold a node 2v1 until backup can arrive. One per node and we can see how imbalanced that can potentially get.
Most condi players I go against don’t do so “intelligently”, particularly Necros being the main contender. Given most spam to make sure re-application is quick and higher than the cleansing. To the point of predictability.
Even still, they aren’t a better bunker than a Tempest.
Heck, even shocking aura makes the dodge thief have a difficult time getting off all of their offensive dodges and Tempest has more than enough cleanses to not worry. More than not, I still drive a thief away. I find the burst specs much more dangerous especially in team fights than this condi build.
It’s a gimmick build with alot of counters and only a few practical uses.
The moment they lose their momentum, they usually have to flee or die.
I think some maps are better optimized than others.
Heart of the Mists is TERRIBLE for frame rate.
I get better frames during a Dragon Stand meta on a full map.
Some clearly need some updating.
But for the most part, the game runs decently even on low end specs.
Mesmer was by far the most painful to level in my experience.
But when its 80, its also one of the one’s I enjoy most.
Guardian is much easier to level since its applicable in alot of places that grant XP and is a good solo class.
I’d personally avoid the growing pains that is Mesmer.
Haven’t really encountered many perma evade thieves, or if there was they weren’t very good.
However, aren’t there plenty of things that currently chew through evades or outright deny them? A few Guard, Necro and rune stuff comes to mind.
I played Guard/DH last season and it was not the most pleasant experience.
This season I completely abandoned it. Far too painful.
Choppy.4183
Sorry, but gunflame was broken as hell, rewarding bad players almost as much as good players in most cases. It needed a serious damage pinch, and the piercing combined with the spammability and explosion per hit were ridiculous.
The added dodge and immob to 4 were undeniable buffs. The dodge was a much needed defensive buff when facing anything but bots, and those concerned about lost time as the dodge executes were compensated with the immob, which is longer than the dodge and still gives enough time to get a gunflame off.
The warrior rifle is better now than it’s been for most of the existence of the game. And lb needed a direct damage buff to compensate to what was lost to power builds when burning was changed. The auto attack on the two weapons is almost the same now, once you factor in attack speed. As usual I’m with choppy on this one, especially the part obout the dodge. Look, I suck at Rifle, just like i suck at greatsword, but one thing i know how to do is use an evade effectively. And with killshot (let alone gunflame because it’s even better] i can almost always land a hit by chaining it off of the evade. they get close, i evade and press killshot at the same time and by the time they know what i did it’s too late, i put distance between us and my killshot hits them a second later. I’m all for the nerf to rifle.
If you are looking at it solely for a pvp perspective, sure.
But the evade is practically useless and in some cases a detriment to even use in cases like pve or even in some wvw cases.
Stationed atop of a wall/cliff? Sucks you can’t use your 8 vuln stacks and immob without falling off. Also torment loves when you use it.
I’d have taken a much longer immobilize than a rollback.
I never really used gunflame all that much, but it had its issues. Still, the double whammy made it alot less desirable. But gunflame itself isn’t something that I would feel an overall rifle nerf deserves.
“It’s all about Burst and Volley.”
Of course it is, everything else on the Rifle skillset sucks. (Even the Burst can be debated.)
In fact, some were made even worse. AKA #4.
A skill I actually used to use and now don’t touch 90% of the time. Good game design right there.
I too was also quite peeved about the piercing change as well. There was no reason to make it inconsistent across skills and essentially nerf rifle damage against mobs indirectly due to such.
I’m a pretty dedicated rifle user and I’ve been very unhappy with how Anet has treated it overall.
I’d be happy with the roll removed and pierce fully returned at the very least. But a little more rifle love never hurts.
The issue I have with the lack of skill splitting is that it hurts builds across all modes, rather than the one its intended for.
Auramancer nerf in PvP? Fair.
Auramancer nerf in Pve? Completely unnecessary.
Everyone knows the NPE was and is a joke. If Anet is still balancing around that for the excuse of keeping things together, then they will forever lose credit for actual balancing.
There is more often than not, no justified reason to nerf something that was already underpreforming in 2/3 areas of the game.
I play all 3 game modes, so I find it silly that they are all treated the same when they are clearly not.
Anet’s track record for ‘good writing’ isn’t a very pleasant one for those who are falling back on that hope. One need only remember S1 and HOT. Core and LS2 are of course still debatable.
Thus, the likelihood of a forced character being injected in naturally is laughable.
If the priority of creating a character in a story is all about their race/gender/orientation as a focus then you are doing it wrong.
The focus should always be about making the character likable and relatable. That is what makes a good character and what people enjoy seeing, more so than what they are or look like.
This is why Majory was well done IMO. We got to know her for who she was and what she was like and more. I’m pretty sure most never questioned her orientation beforehand either until Kas became a role. She didn’t scream GAY the moment she arrived. Nor was it the only thing her personality and purpose revolved around and even when revealed that she was so, neither of those changed.
She was a respectable character and one whose flavour alot of people enjoyed.
That’s essentially the only way this would ever work with a trans character without it causing a red flag for most people. People literally should never even think that they are trans. (Especially since they WANT to be seen as their true gender. Not as anything else.) They should be thinking about the character, the person they are trying to connect with. As they should.
Let’s have an example here, we get an NPC named Marcus join in. Charismatic, a tactician that knows good strategies and knows how to rally the troops from having a militant family. Making him an ideal advisor for the Commander at tackling dragon issues and rebuilding the Pact. Lighthearted in his personality, warms up to others quick nicely and even enjoys making playful jabs at Lord Faren about his quirks. Following up, we learn about his past in the militia and training which could be noted on being tough but the willingness to do good. Perhaps even with motivation of doing so for a lost loved one.
After long battle strats with the commander and engaging in a few fights, they need to have an audience with say, Queen Jennah about the rising threats.
“We need to see Queen Jennah, it’s an urgent matter.”
“Who are you?”
“Marcus, Son of General Renard.”
“Didn’t the General only have a daughter?”
“He did. We need inside now, I have the Commander with me. It’s concerning X.”
Boom, that’s it. A small line and you get a hint they are trans. They continue to move on their their task at hand at the meeting without prattling on. No big deals made about them being so, it being simply being an understanding and moving on after that. Certainly not before a character is established that is notable and relatable whilst aiming to be likable before the issue with them being different is even a thought. That and after that, there’s no reason for it to even be brought up a second time or pushed further.
That is far more likely in my opinion to get positive results in accepting a person than simply shoe-horning a random Whispers Agent with no real background, personality or merit into a story merely for the sake of putting neon lights over them saying “IM TRANS”. It devalues them doing stuff like that. Disrespectful and certainly only causes ire if they become a notable role.
But why dose it have to be Sya? Because they are trans? Is that the only reason? Why not someone else. What makes her special enough to be elevated above the rest? I can tell you why. Because trans has been in the media as of late so it’s the “cool” thing to be supporting. That is the only reason. If it was because of just raising awareness of transgender then this thread would have come up asking this when the character was introduced. That is the truth, and you can handle the truth!
but why someone else?
that’s the true question, when you remove any trans whatever then she is just like everybody els, a nobody forced in the main story.
We already had one of those.
His name was Trahearne.
He’s dead now.
We need another nobody to be forced in to take the limelight.
I think the hatred comes from the fact that Trahearne took credit for all of our hard work.
It’ll be hard for a front and center NPC who’s essentially the main point to not be the same issue, especially with killing a dragon. Something that even Trahearne didn’t even do. (Which probably was the only thing from him being staked before HOT.)
Making any character a major face runs the risk of getting the same hatred as Trahearne and others along those lines. Regardless of their gender or orientation. The current characters work because they aren’t overshadowing the player.
Especially if its a “PC does all the work and NPC takes all the credit for the kill” scenario.
Thief in my opinion takes that trophy. Not only does it take map awareness and skill to pull of effective methods of decapping or engaging foes appropriately but I also consider them a class with a very high skill cap in regards to combat. It’s very rare to find a thief who can do both.
Especially in the last couple of metas that have had many fights against their favor even in a 1v1 case.
A good thief is quite a high valued asset in both points and teamfights. However, due to it also being punished the most for mistakes, makes it alot harder in play.
Mesmer, as a whole comes a close second but I would say it’s mostly held back by alot of it’s mechanics than most. Regardless of its own cheesy uses, resorting to tricks to keep it going.
I would rank Engi as third, although I feel it’s gotten easier and core engi is higher than scrapper itself in terms of the skillcap. Overall I’d say Engi is one of those middle ground classes at the moment. Not god tier easy, but not put under the thumb heavily either.
Some of the champs have been nerfed considerably, alot of them are Champs in name only. However, some of the locations can make it a pain with other mobs that can be just as painful as well.
But yes, there are a few HP’s that still seem to have Champ grade stats that are above being soloable for the moment, but thankfully a good majority are doable for most toons.
My guild is too small to have a guild hall (just me and my brother), so I’m fascinated to see how it works and what people can do with them. I wish people would post some more screenies, I’d love to see them
If you ask others to help you, you can still have a guild hall.
Me and one other essentially run our own guild hall (now level 20) so its not out of the question.
The initial take-over is really the only hurdle.
I’m rather curious how many are using the new AH as a Beserker versus a core Warrior.
In all honesty, it works for some weapons. Clearly longbow since it ‘never misses’ and others have varied success.
Beserkers can use Burst more frequently and ALWAYS get the max benefit (3 bars) upon landing a burst. With skills that also tend to fire more quickly and reliably.
So naturally this helps them in that regard.
But running it with core, I feel Rifle, Hammer and Mace (and perhaps a few others) suffer quite a bit from this change. Rather than playing defensively waiting for opportune moments for an opening whilst your adrenaline is full, providing you a bit of extra healing to make your move, you now have to “use it or lose it” to survive.
Slow weapons like those tend to be poor in building adrenaline without other aids and with rifle, not only are you laughably telegraphed, stationary but also easy to negate. Others simply suffer range, terrain or other issues for a missed burst.
In my opinion it just promotes more spammy behavior even if its not ideal. Great for Beserkers, poor for most core Warrior weapons.
So can we only try a few weapons when we use the trial? I’m trying out a warrior and I was equipped with an axe, shield and rifle – not what I had on me when I activated the trial – and the NPC is only selling those items (and some underwater ones, which seems unnecessary in dry-as-dust SW but … okay) and no bows, greatswords, swords, maces, etc. So do I just have to use the lowlevel weapons I had on me before to try those weapons out, or can I get level 80 trial weapons somewhere beyond the 3 that the NPC offers?
Any info/response on this?
There is a standard weapons NPC right near the gate where he is for other weapons, albeit of White quality.
Also you can still pick up items from drops as well.
Beyond that, this does seem to be the case.
Honestly as a baseline warrior, not a fan of the change.
With the amount of blinds, blocks, dodges/evasions, invulnerable and reflects (in the case of rifle) going about still, landing hits solid is not all that easy and has been a sore spot for Warrior ever since the Cleansing Ire change.
So missing now not only nulls any damage, but now you can’t even recover with a bit of healing from adrenal health until you fire again with these new changes.
A nerf to its base healing would have been better in tandem with the buff.
Also, let’s not forget that the more one might have felt annoyed and frustrated with Scarlet, it only meant it to be more satisfying that she was dead in the end.
Funnily enough, I was actually one of the few who was mad about her death. It too was rushed just to push the setting for HOT.
It didn’t help with Anet’s purposeful use of Braham to silence Scarlet when people actually WANTED her story to be developed.
“Don’t you want to know WHY I did it?”
“No.”
Pretty much the opposite of what everyone actually wanted. (Besides the eventual impaling.)
Near the end of her lifespan, she showed promise and actual intrigue. By that time of course it was far too late. Which is now never actually going to be expanded upon or ever revealed. She had no investment and that was the issue.
That only added to her poor writing. She came in as such and ended as such.
I’m told that if an audience watching an opera, play or movie feels hatred towards a bad guy in the storyline, then the writer has done rather well.
So if a lot of people hated Scarlet Briar for whatever reason, then kudos to the person who created her!
People hate Scarlet because she’s a bad written character.
Not because she’s a good villain.
The Joker is a good written character (in most cases). Even though he’s a monster.
Scarlet can’t even hold a candle.
Be thankful that’s all you had to deal with.
Briar was literally a thorn. Not in a compliment kind of way.
Scattered, broken, inconsistent backstory and development that appeared out of no where and somehow made all the other NPCs drop several IQs during the seasons.
She had potential, but Anet blew that chance. She was just a reason to segway to the next dragon. Even if it made little sense.
The only good thing that came from her was the Marionette fight, which sadly still has had only poor replicas in its place in other areas.
My only major issue with S2 is the fact of the juiced in MMR from last season giving a notable edge in composition. Which should never have been the case.
I found S1 more fun, matchup wise and closer versus S2 which had mainly blowouts that could easily be determined within 5 minutes.
However, S1’s major fail was the abuse of lower tiers and higher tiers together which amusingly enough only got REWARDED in S2. Logic.
Meta wise, both were pretty cheesy. I wouldn’t say one was better than the other, but S2 did have alot more restrictions with the loss of other build options.
You can access your personal bank through the Scribing station, like any other crafting spot. Even if you don’t have it as a profession.
But yes, a TP would be nice.
With rare runes and sigils you have to deal with the pool of simply getting another rare or the pool of exotics. So the chances of getting a better sigil and rune are alot lower there.
As for weapons and armor there, i can only assume to give people a better chance at obtaining precursors which are extremely rare to find as a drop. Otherwise, no idea.
Probably to avoid re-rolling for more expensive and useful sigils.
There’s really no way to win this scenario. There’s only one solution that would ease such issues.
Simply check your block list and see if they are already in a game or aren’t in pvp. Then you can freely queue up without worry of being paired up with them.
Not the most elegant solution but it can help dodge them a bit more. Only way to avoid the system being abused in other facets.
The only true popular build I’ve been running that’s close to what most run is Auramancer Tempest. The rest are my own concoctions.
I would say that compared to most Eles I see, I think the main difference is I run Warhorn rather than Focus.
This gives me 2 CCs for anti-rezzing or interrupting stomps. As well as a Blast heal in water with an added reflect aura in Earth.
Seems to work for me in most cases coupled with Sigil of Renewal and Water.
Coupled with the channel heal with runes of radiance.
Unless they completely destroy the ability for it to double cast skills, CS likely won’t be hit enough to be considered trash enough. At most, they’ll make it require more clones for decent cast times.
Instead, I see them nerfing skills unneeded BECAUSE of CS and hurt core mesmer again because of it.

Well, it’s highly unlikely they’ll fix it by the time SAB disappears (and thus the vendor option to get them).
However, to ease your pains a little I’d suggest moving the vendor window box so that the Buy and Confirm dialogues are in the same area. Makes travel time alot less for your hand and a quicker purchase due to it. But I wouldn’t object to removing of the confirmation.
What would solve this issue more for zerg like group events is activated or passive allies to rez for people instead. Much like in Auric Basin you have the Exalted medic guy that rezzes people.
This allows one to not worry about dead people and focus on their task and at the same time ignore the worry of dying yourself and having to worry about missing credit from WPing as well.
Given most world events are timed, this becomes a non-issue anyways.
A much more elegant solution to the NUMEROUS reasons to be able to revive people in defeated state.
CDKeys is legit.
Then why did customer support tell me they aren’t?
I think when one says ‘legit’ it’s more of a reference to the fact they are not a scam website that some places can be (ie, invalid or illegal keys). Not whether or not they are an official seller given permission by Anet.
Most 3rd party websites are like this.
This is kind of a shame to hear, one less mission doable for my team.
But glad to hear it’s no longer going to be an issue for future guilds.
Any particular reason for its removal? Or was it due to this bug?
Might want to have such reflected in the patch notes as well in case some get confused by its disappearance.
Talon,
Thank you for the report and all the nice information! Also, if you don’t mind me inquiring to verify: your guild ran that mission today? The screenshot you provided suggests a different mission rotation, so I want to be sure as we investigate.
I submitted this report moments after the bug became verified, so yeah it was today.
In fact, we finished slightly before the new patch was released as well.
I do know that different Guilds have different missions I found. A few Guilds I follow do not have the same as my others. Not sure if that plays into it, but we’ve never had an issue prior with the WvW Challenge up until this point.
Wasn’t really able to find an appropriate option to submit the option for Guild Mission related bugs, that and screening it afterwards didn’t seem to be much help. Knowing what options for future mission bugs would be nice too.
Anyways, me and my Guild encountered a rather crippling bug just a few moments ago regarding this mission.
We swam through the enemy Oasis to be ready for collecting power cores rather patiently, having waited a good while for it to start.
After killing two Saurians we did what we always did and started the mission before turning them in. Immediately I should have feared the worst when I noticed that upon immediately starting, the objective instantly went to 3 / 3. (See screenshot) We hadn’t turned any in yet upon launch.
We near the end of the timer and close to finishing the event, still no credit. My guild member decides to put in the last core. Nothing.
Time expires and stays at 0s remaining for about 2 minutes.
Mission failed.
Baffled, we couldn’t figure out why. For experimentation I started the mission again when we left, again, instantly 3 / 3.
Making it impossible to complete.
Being a small guild, WvW Challenge and Bounty are one of the few missions we can do easily without many members on.
330 points isn’t alot sure, but it sucks when you don’t get it.
I’d say I’m about even. I go on win streaks and I go on loss streaks as well.
Problem is, I often can’t tell if its the game making poor matchmaking that determines this, or if its my team skill.
Only ever had one or two games out of plenty that were close enough to know it came down to organization. The rest was either roll or be rolled.
