I think a lot of people have reported this to them, I certainly have multiple times. And I’ve got nowhere, rude and unhelpful with their idiot scripts.
Given up with EE and switched to BT Infinity. Won’t take effect until the 6th November, but at least it’s cheaper than what I’m paying now!
I’ll try and catch this later Rym, I finish work at 5pm so won’t be able to make the livestream!
Thanks for the kind words, hope I made some kind of sense about the Revenant. I don’t keep an eye on the forums as much as I should do, especially considering I’m switching mains to Revenant haha!
And like kittening clockwork, ping of 1200+.
Die in a fire, EE.
Game is unplayable, I can’t load a character into the game – never mind move around.
I’ve been on the phone to EE, who were all kinds of useless. UK, EU Gandara here.
I’ve had horrendous issues with Skype during that period as well.
Exact same problem – EE up in Yorkshire.
Not exactly nice to know I’m not the only one, but still – this thread has been helpful.
Hi folks,
Tried my hand at another build video, all comments appreciated.
All feedback appreciated
I certainly think I need to rethink the gear, yeah. Was hoping zerker would have more of an outcome on the raw damage, but hopefully the trait bonuses to ferocity will cancel out it not being on the armour.
Any feedback is appreciated
Same build I came up with pretty quickly, but it’s a nice video with good explanations.
What is this chest armor?
It’s the Strider Tunic from the gem store set
All feedback welcome
I’ve created a short video about some ideas I’ve had here:
I’ll accept dragon statues on Corvus’ behalf XD

One of the biggest takeaways for me is that The Nightmare Court are potentially immune to the corruption of Mordremoth.

The audio is a bit iffy, my voice recorder died so luckily I had my tablet to hand to record it, hence the background noise.
Thanks to CorvusPlays for cleaning up the audio for me! Hope you enjoy it!
Does it on cultural vendors too. Glad to hear it’s a bug!
Hi everyone,
I’ve started putting together a playlist of some videos that really cover the basics of Guild Wars 2 for new players. It was inspired by a guy who told me in January he didn’t know that laurels came from dailies.
Anyway, link to the playlist is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyz9Ixsgwgf34qAqF6WRbUBCVADaAa1rW
Enjoy!
Sweet Dwayna, yes, I’ll be buying/pre-ordering!
One more for the name pool please!
(sorry for spamming in advance and not being part of the community, I just want to get the word out!)
Hi there! First of all, go here:

and then save this link for the day:

I’m Alex. I work in an office in York for Macmillan Cancer Support. There’s a whole lot of info further down about Macmillan but I’m sure most of you know that they’re a totally excellent charity who help thousands of people.
When I’m not wearing a shirt and answering phones, a lot of my down time is spent playing video games. And here’s the thing; there’s this game I play called Guild Wars 2. Dragons, wizards and so forth. Every year for nigh on the last decade, there’s an event called Pink Day In L.A. LA is a city called Lion’s Arch and everyone from all over the world gets together to dance, race, go on scavenger hunts – none of this is provided in game, it’s all put together by the playing community. The only slight downside to their marvellous work is that all the charities that they support are based in Canada and the US. It’s the same with other gamer-based charities too, guys like Extra Life and Gamers Giving Back. There’s going to be some awesome links to great gaming charity sites at the bottom for you to check out to see what we’ve done in the past.
Contrary to popular belief that us gamers are a bunch of narcissistic shut ins, we care about people. Waiting for someone’s name to light up as ‘online’ after being diagnosed but probably never will is not cool. 1 in 3 of us will get cancer at some point in our lives, and there are over 2 million people in the UK alone who are affected by it.
I wanted to do something for charities in the UK with something I’m deeply passionate about and that I’m not completely terrible at.
So here’s the deal.
Come 23rd August from 9am until 9am the following day, I will be livestreaming on www.twitch.tv/ashenrohk 24 solid hours of video games. I’ll be getting help from my totally awesome guild mates as well as other streamers and YouTubers to raise money for Macmillan. If you have friends who want to livestream for the cause on the day, even for a few hours, we did for Operation Supply Drop back in 2013 spearheaded by Bethesda Enterntainment, responsible among other things for Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
Also, we’re gonna have stretch goals and challenges, partly set by me and partly set by you guys. Tell me what you want to see me suffer through at 4am. Tell me what games you want to see me play. The most important thing – DONATE and help us kick cancer’s kitten .
Some people run, some people shave their head. I’m here to drink tea and blow stuff up. And I’ve just finished my tea.
Sites that are awesome and you should check out:

Mission
We exist to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. Our primary focus for 2013 is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Company Overview
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We are a source of support, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support. We are also a force for change, listening to people affected by cancer and working together for better cancer care.
One in three of us will get cancer. 2 million of us are living with it. We are all affected by it. We can all help.
This group exists to promote upcoming fundraising events, raise awareness of the charity’s work, and provide a space for Macmillan supporters and people living with cancer to share their experiences and ideas.
Our campaigns
Macmillan wants everyone with cancer to receive the right treatment and support regardless of who they are and where they live. We work to raise awareness of cancer issues and campaign to bring about changes in opinion, policy and practice at both a local and national level. All our campaigns have one common goal – to make a positive and permanent change to the lives of people affected by cancer.

There are many more interesting and intelligent ways to create gold sinks than to frustrate your player base. I wouldn’t dream of converting gems to gold to get to a precursor. I guess we are all fools putting stuff in the forge
The thing is though, some people win at RNG completely. A guildie has had NINE precursors drop in the last year or so. Two of those in a week after he quit playing for three months. (Edit: He came back, obviously)
I have spent 20g to get The Lover and maybe 60g to get The Hunter when I was bored and wanted to try it out. I was phenomenally lucky at the time and it gave me enough gold to start and finish Flameseeker Prophecies when I decided which one I wanted. Since starting on my second, Incinerator, probably dropped at least 800 daggers in and nothing (most crafted considering their price on the BLT now). The RNG anecdotes are just viable enough to keep people going back to the forge, and couple that with the abysmal drop rates…
If it meant less of this idiot RNG game for precursors, I’d gladly see the increase in WP/tool costs. Get armour repairs back, at least they were a gold sink that made sense. Now it’s just an annoying thing to click that has no detrimental function and has actually negated repair canisters. Assuming you don’t suck and die all the time in fractals.
Double post ahoy!
Another thought…legendaries are something players are supposed to work towards. The simple fact is that the majority of players cannot keep up with the rate of inflation. As of now, 1140g for The Legend.
I came to the forum to start my own thread but I’ll pop my thoughts down here.
I’ll take myself as the standard player who probably makes between 20 and 50 gold a week. I do my dungeons/fractals/events when I can and have 2.9k hours racked up. We’re over 18 months into the life of the game, and the majority of players who need a precursor are relying on luck and nothing more.
Please, implement a crafting system for the precursor or the scavenger hunt mentioned probably a year back which has been abandoned. Gold is harder to make now for the average player, having hidden it behind the paltry “but armour repair is free!” facade. Champ loot boxes have been reduced, and apparently the precursor drop rate has increased…but I am not convinced.
I have a legendary that I completed maybe 6 months ago. When it was still reasonable prices people could work towards. Stop alienating your players Arenanet, you will kill your own game.
The legendaries need to be kept out of the wardrobe. Guild Wars 2 endgame has always been cosmetic, and while it’s great to see the wardrobe make available all the skins we’ve got, Legendaries are supposed to be unique.
Why would I have a normal looking shield on my engi when I can pop into the wardrobe and take out the Flameseeker Prophecies?
Elementalists/thieves who wield dual daggers, dual pistol thieves/engis with Quips, or any person that has made more than 1 of the same legendary for their alts is being massively penalised.
I know legendaries still need to be crafted and other than this one thing I think it’s a fantastic update, but this needs to be addressed.
I’m dodging all over the place round the back whenever his tail sweeps, but the achievement doesn’t ping, even when I get the ‘evaded’ notification.
Is this a bug or do I just suck?
Now, hear me out, I’m a fully exo’d player on 2 level 80s so it’s not really for my benefit, BUT…
Have the level 20 jump scroll on sale in the BLT on the trial weekends. My girlfriend played for 20 minutes before buying a copy of the game. Especially with all the living story stuff going on at the moment, getting that extra nudge that can get you into Gendarren Fields faster is something I think would be worth looking into.
I mainly play PvE and I have spent ages getting the badges, only to get 300 in two days.
I agree, it is unfair on people who WvW mainly…I’ve now done no work for my Gift of Battle.
We’ve got a Charr called Fierce Brosnan in guild.

I’d like to see some different…texturing, I guess, to some dyes. But having them as limited time thing doesn’t work, look at the prices for the F&F dyes right now, it’s bananas.
The wiki says there’s about a 0.02% chance of the weapon ticket from the results that have been put in from a regular coffer.
I also bought c.50 rich coffers and got one. I must have opened close to 1000 regulars without luck. I don’t mind RNG but this is some heavily stacked bullkitten.
I bought 30g for rare shortbows, Lover drops not even half way through.
Guildies to my left and right have dropped 300g+ into it and got nothing.
And this was yesterday on it’s own.
Rangers with rifles. And my ritualist back.
Lots of R-requests in the post. But pretty much everything everyone has suggested, with the exception of playing a new race…just doesn’t excite me.
I find this stereotype of mindless killing offensive to my people.
Gear progression is the reason I have lost all interest in this game. I logged in today to see if anything has changed and immediately logged out.
I don’t understand why the people who want a gear treadmill can’t play one of the MANY other mmorpgs catering to your needs.
Instead we got this mess of a game that promised to be aimed at people who did not want to hunt for incremental gear upgrades every few months, then turned completely around claiming they didn’t lie to our faces when in fact they did.
1: Market game towards niche target audience
2: Alienate them in favor of the WoW-clone players
3: Fail to please those people
4: ???
5: Lack of profit.
I know it’s early, so I’ll assume this in the wrong thread because gear QQ has nothing to do with the title. Also, you point no.5, regardless of what I think of the rest of your points, is completely wrong. 3 million copies sold and a gem store that couldn’t do more business if it sold kittens.
I think they’re back on the right path with the SAB getting people out into the other capital cities, hopefully there’ll be permanent events like this soon to spread the player base out and get people away from world events.
How do you say ‘quay’ at Anet? Because if it’s anything like in the game… :p
“Oh, not more flipping elves. But he didn’t say ‘flipping’, sir”
/Lewis
You have to defend against 7 waves of the undead, once you’ve done that you take a petal or flower from the skillpoint thing and it regrows.
Another Naga warrior here. Such a fantastic mouse, but I’d rebind your elite to the keyboard as if you’ve got decent sized hands like me, bending your thumb back is a bit uncomfortable!
/signed.
Please keep this. Best side event they’ve done since release.
Amazing. Boobs.
WHAT. I AM AN IDIOT, THANKYOU SIR.
Hey all, hate to be the one to do this but it needs addressing.
At present, the continue coins are useless. Why, you ask? Well, if you’re in a group and you lose all your lives, you can simply exit the box and dive back in at the last checkpoint without having to use a coin. Really useful for the Toad King if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Also, put a checkpoint before ninja bridge in the rapids.
World completion really shouldn’t be, as you only get 2 Gifts of Exploration for completion and you need one for each legendary you craft.
For me, dyes and fractal level. Legendaries are supposed to be unique and ultra-rare, I think it’s a bit of a cop-out if you can switch it to other characters.
Minipet/pet for ranger please! So cute!
I play as a ranger and group with rangers all the time. It’s a decent class, the only real issue I have with it is the shortbow nerf from the beta weekends and the fact the pets are only slightly more useful than a bowl of treacle at a diabetic conference.
If you wanted an instawin class, go play a warrior. Sounds like you just got bored with the class.
Another mount discussion?
So please give me the coconuts and the sound effects and emoticons to go with it ;P
I wholeheartedly endorse this.
TL;DR – Wanted WoW2.
