The main thing you are missing here, is that I could have done 3 paths AC, and walked away with 4.5 gold and called it a night, and moved on to doing a daily fractal, thus dungeons we an easy addition to paying the game.. now for that same time investment I get 1.5 gold, or I need to commit to doing 8 total paths of dungeons, it goes from being a nice addition to game to an obnoxious grind.
“I don’t care about the dungeons themselves, just the easy money”
More like “content is only good because I can turn off my brain”. Stacking in a corner and DPS the mobs down with powercreeped elite spec 1 (and 2 soon) is just not fun @STIHL
More like “being stuck doing dungeons for the next hour and half” is not my idea of fun.
But don’t let my reasonable motives stop you from making all kinds of off the wall assumptions. None the less an above poster already explained with dev quotes what is exactly going on with dungeons, any other assumptions are wrong.
I never denied the fact at some time, devs tried to push us away from doing dungeons. You can’t deny however that they reverted their stance of “making dungeon content worthless”. My point is, if dungeons became that easy and people likes/d doing this easy content, you shouldn’t be having that much gold you got back in the time simply because they developed more content that are labeled as endgame content as of today.
You basically complained earlier in the thread that they killed the “dungeon community”, in terms of LFG. And as I can understand (please correct me if I am wrong), you like what dungeons has been offering in the past. So now you are telling that you don’t like being stuck doing dungeons for an hour and a half. See the disconnect ?
Look, maybe you have several hour blocks of time to play so an hour and half does not feel like a dent in your play time, I don’t, if I am lucky I might an full hour to actually play, after being logged in for 2 hours, due to life distractions.
In that time I can try to get into a dungeon group that will be a solid one and half hour rush, which I will never be able to commit to, or I can join a daily fractal T3 group, and in 3o min, I get something like 9 boxes of loot, and whatever the actual encounter gave me.
Anet set out to make dungeon rewards unappealing, and they have done just that. Its not that I don’t like them, they are just not worth the time investment anymore. Doing them at this point in the game would be just for the giggles of it.. and the bugs and other problems.. ruin the whole “Doing it for the love of it”
They need a face-lift and some TLC, which is also something Anet will not be giving them. They are dead content.
Now for the topic at hand, I just can’t agree with with how dungeons are relevant in terms of story. Simply because, in my experience (of casual pug runner), I have absolutely no clue of what story is being told in dungeons.
Story Mode for all Dungeons coexists, continues, and expands upon your personal story and the reunion of Destiny’s Edge.
Each path after that, deals with the aftermath of the story mode. IE: In AC, after killing the Ghosts, They realized that the Ghosts had been keeping the Skelks at bay, and now you have to deal with the Skelk problem, which is a greater threat then the ghosts.
They all really do have a great story them.. pity all you learned was how to stack in a corner.
One hour and half to play at best ? That’s hard to handle. If I were in your situation, I would just quit playing games altogether.
I wanted to create a more elaborated response to you, but Linken was faster. So yeah no need to do these dungeons in one day.

Simply because, in my experience (of casual pug runner), I have absolutely no clue of what story is being told in dungeons. The most vivid recall I have of me doing dungeons can be summed up by this: stacking in a corner and DPS down a boss with an ice-bow (when it still brought OP damages) and the last time I tried to watch a cinematic, I just got kicked from the group (and ofc no I never joined group who said speedclear AP 5K+)
I have nothing against dungeons, really but please it would be cool to not have most of the encounters being easily trivialized with this tactic of luring a boss in a tiny corner. At least for the explorable paths.

Chalice of Tears is a lot more enjoyable JP than Not So Secret. So in that regard, it really isn’t horrible and since it is now part of an achievement to get a legendary trincket, I would say it is a good JP to do.
A lot of games nowadays include a “Story Mode” difficulty type because they’re designed for people who don’t actually want to play the game, but are there for an interactive, cinematic experience… or something. I guess those types of “gamers” exist now, but I don’t know if an action MMORPG like GW2 needs it. I don’t think the story content is particularly challenging as long as you have a basic grip of the mechanics and run a decent build/gear setup. If you die too easily, a setup that is a bit sturdier might be a solution. Sure, it won’t win you fights quite as fast, but that’s better than not winning them at all, right?
If you’re the type of person that can only enjoys things if there are other people that can’t have them – yes, it makes sense to think like that.
But at the end of the day, why would you care how other people play their story missions?
Shouldn’t those ‘dirty story peasants’ eat their cookies too? In the end they also payed for those, money that are used for further development of the game you love.
It doesn’t make any sense to promote a story mode in a game that was advertised with an active combat system. Besides, what is the point of promoting a story mode experience in a game that has never been able to promote a top notch story with full and meaningful character development for each of his main protagonist ?
Let’s get real here. It is not because the game is casual that it needs to cater to each personal interest of the entire playerbase. The game overall has always pushed for some sort of content that got harder over time, even in core tyria. And in a game that has never promoted gear treadmill, I find it perfectly fair that over time, some sort of skill (not talking about raid speedclear or high end fractals skill) might be required, based on what the game promotes and has promoted: an active combat system and new specializations that makes the character straight up more powerful than before.
That is not just the infinite horizon trait that needs to go away; the entire top traits need to be reworked in my opinion (except maybe the adept trait). Honestly I am surprised that we don’t get more traits that are tuned to playing around with crystals, so here is my proposal.
First of all, if we get more chances to summon crystals and get benefits out of them, then the crystals needs to gain the ability of being destroyed when targeted.
Instead of Shards of Glass, I would put somethinhg like that:
“Once for every three critical hits on a target, you summon a crystal in a random 600 range area around your target. Your count resets when your target dies or when you switch target. 3 seconds cooldown”
Infinite Horizon needs to be baseline. Instead I would bring a damage modifier to ambushed attacks for the character and its illusion for how such a short time we gain the benefit of ambushed attacks:
“For each shards that are either destroyed or shattered, you and your illusion gain a 5% damage boost on ambushed attacks. The effect only trigger when the character tries to successfully land an ambushed attack on the target. Max cap at 20%. 10 seconds cooldown” So basically you loose the crystal count once you have done one ambushed attack and then thre trait goes on cooldown.
As for self deception, though I like the fact we can get some clone generation without relying entirely on dueling, I think it would just be better to rely on dueling and illusion to summon more plantasms and clones. So here is a suggestion:
“Whenever you shatter a crystal and for 3 seconds afterwards, clones you summon gain a 1 second invulnerability frame. 10 seconds cooldown”.
Because in GW2 raids are not the end goal that every one will need to pursue.
Edit:And generally more resources to actually implement it due to a subscription model.
Neither are they the only end goal in other MMOs. For example, back in the day Blizzard revealed that fewer than 5% of WoW players raided. Then they introduced raids that needed fewer players and the numbers rose. Then they added an accessible, pug-friendly Looking For Raid difficulty and the numbers rose even more.
See they figured out ways of getting more people into raiding, which meant that more people got to see and enjoy the content they’re creating. Which is a good thing for both the players and the company.
An easy mode raid would serve a similar purpose in GW2. It would give people a more accessible intro to raiding and far from being the waste of resources that some people see it as it would instead be a way of ensuring that the work they’ve done in raids would be seen and enjoyed by more people. It would make the raids themselves a better use of resources than they are now.
I wanted to write you a long response but IndigoSundown got exactly what I had in mind covered.
Edit: you complain about accessibility but personally, being a no raider ans a socially awkard player, it really wasn’t difficult to get myself some tries for Vale guardian for myself. As for the difficulty, with no food and no meta build, I was still able to get it down to 50 % in three tries.
(edited by flog.3485)
If MMO’s with much more difficult Raid content can put in story-mode raids (FF/WoW), why can’t the relatively casual GW2 put it in?
Because in GW2 raids are not the end goal that every one will need to pursue.
Edit:And generally more resources to actually implement it due to a subscription model.

Honestly I think there is too much nostalgia going on here.
Bringing back the Marionnette fight is not necessary because we already have better metas than Marionnette. These are called Silverwaste and all other HoT metas.
The thing is, we can have a fight that are reminiscent of Marionnette mechanics without bringing back the event. And this event will be far more superior than Marionnette for the simple fact that it will last longer than two weeks.
You think the fight might have been good, fun and somewhat challenging but I think people just have rose-tinted glasses. It felt that way simply because the players didn’t have the time to find the most optimal ways of running it with success.
With all due respect, the vine wraith fight is a pale comparison to the brilliance that was the Marionette. My glasses are not that rosey. I have gone over the fight with other commanders of the Marionette fight and we pretty much agree that VW was disappointing compared.
I also do watch the old videos of the fight regularly and am very familiar with it as I also commanded it.
We also know how to beat it, but that alone doesn’t mean we can win.
The optimal way to beat it is for every player to know the mechanics of what is essentially 5 dungeon bosses, or at least enough to beat the platform boss. We know which classes/skills do best at which boss.
However, all it takes is 5 players in the fight to wipe and the fight is put at risk of failing. That is 1 party. The risk grows each time that happens. Heck, they don’t even need to wipe. They can just not kill their boss in time.
That isn’t a margin of error that is expressed in any other world boss. This is remarkably similar to the demands required of raiding (but not as intense). It is all about position and mechanics knowledge with high risk and high reward coordination.
That is why we all love it.
But yes, as with all bosses, the drive to play it will diminish over time. We don’t play Teq or Triple Trouble with the intensity of the entire community. However those bosses still have decent participation rates. I suspect we will see something similar with Marionette.
Hmm allow me to disagree with you then. Personally I don’t think it is good design to allow a world boss fight to fail because a group of five players failed at their part and I suspect Anet didn’t like that either because in the end, we didn’t see the exact same mechanic be applied in different meta events further down the line.
Let the possibility of failing occur for a larger group of people when it comes to world bosses. It is way more impactful and the people feel much more concerned imo. Failing as a party of five should be targeted at fractals and dungeons to an extent (but we all know it has never been really the case^^)
Watching old videos doesn’t do the trick too. Old videos mean different skill balance with different values in terms of numbers. We are much stronger now so I think the content would need to be tuned way harder in terms of mechanics and generally I don’t think players like too hard events when it comes to PvE (looking back at complaints for gerent meta at release in comparison to now).
Generally speaking I feel like we shoud have strong, threatening mobs with enough life points but not too much of it (HoT mobs is pretty fun in that regard). But the mechanics of actually getting the meta done shouldn’t be so much restrictive.
Honestly I think there is too much nostalgia going on here.

Running staff on mesmer in dungeons in the early stage of this game 5 years ago and actually thinking I was impactful until a pug actually whispered me one day: “dude I don’t understand your build. Are ayou actually doing damages ?”
Personally, when difficulty increases to the point I am too unskilled to play like open world content, here is what I do: I take my ranged weapons and use my most defenses abilities and traits in combination with my usual power dps or condi dps gear. Once you do that, you will notice that there is really no need to tone down the content any further.
I’m of the opinion HoT maps would have been fun if Anet hadn’t made the map exploration group mandatory. If you have to avoid a champion here, or use a backway in there the maps would have been fun. Instead they tied the exploration to the Meta. To even make it to Dragon Stand you must make the Meta event of Tangled Depths. And then to further lock stats behind the maps unique items and currency further limiting players access to needed stats Viper, Trailblazer, Wanderer’s, and so on. So why is Trailblazer’s soo expensive, because the Maguuma Lilly is extremely rare and it also requires a charged crystal that can only be made one per day and the Quartz Crystals have very few locations that can be farmed. These are never or extremely rare to gain from salvage. They could control prices by not severly limiting mats but like with Hardened Leather which is now accessible by way of Meta. Basically everything is tied to long drawn out events that limit accessibility and play.
Meanwhile I still went through HoT maps with my berserker/assassin or rampager stats on my mesmer….
I think you answered your own question. So no there won’t be anymore.
The proposition is nice but here is the problem. How does one solve the issue that, in PvE, all skills and passive traits are somehow shared amongst all the players around you ?
WvW is the only place where that issue is somewhat solved in terms of open world content. But even then it is not a true competitive environment since the duels occurring there can only happen between opposing servers.
And the thing is, there is no way that closed servers (like in the beginning of the game) can happen again because the PvE game mode needs the megaservers for the metas and other events to be run successfully.
The closest dueling aspect you could have in PvE is this: PvP arenas in cities kind of like in GW1, which is basically guild halls arenas in GW2. There is just no way that the OP will get rid of loading screens.
No way it is going to end up well…Nobody would want to pay more money now to have access to content that has been essentially being released for free for the past five years.
I remember you, OP, openly admitting on another thread that you played only from 2014 on so you pretty much missed 2 years of by-weekly content released free of charge and therefore I think you have a misrepresentation of what the game stood for at release.
Other than that your proposition is a big middle finger to all veterans and new players alike. Like I said before more gating do not foster sales to veterans and new players will feel like this is nothing but a cash grab if they already have to purchase season 2 and 3 to get the associated rewards tied to it.
Edit: Ultimately I also fail to see how they are going to pull that off. It is not because more they develop more and put a price tag behind it that it means quality content. At the end of the day they used to produce more (bi-weekly content minus the price tag) but they abandoned this release pace because it introduced too much gating.
(edited by flog.3485)
Can’t we block, evade, reflect or LoS this skill ?
Have you got season 2 ?
Im gonna have to disagree with some people here. I like the identified gear. I understand why some people may not like it. But i feel like it helps to address one of the biggest problems with loot in gw2.
That its largely worth extremely little. Lets face it no one is excited to see loot if its not a precursor. Exotic? Salvage. Rare? Salvage.
But with this people kind of have to choose whether or not they want to go for exotics or rares and even precursors.
You can just salvage for safe reliable profit. Or go for that larger reward. Now alot of people will just salvage. But that heavily reduces the number of rares and exotics floating around. Including sigils and runes, as well as ectos. This might make them more worth getting.
As the prices on those items increase. The reward for GOING for those items goes up. Atleast that is what I am hoping will happen.
At the moment loot on an individual basis is largely pointless. I feel like this might be one of the best ways the change that over time.
At the moment crafting is largely pointless as well for many items. After all you can just buy that item often for less than the materials would cost you. Maybe as rare and exotics get rarer crafting will have more of a place. Where as now its mostly for spamming the daily patterns for quick profit.
As for the rest of the Beta. I was pretty happy with what I saw though I was kind of sad to only get to mess with one of the new pets against the new enemies.
I really want to see what a legendary hydra boss fight would be like. As well as some larger scale battles against those forged. (The one that puts up the walls? That would be REALLY cool in bigger battles. Imagine a boss version that puts up a labyrinth around him you have to navigate to get around when you get him to x% health and you have to make it to him and break his bar to get rid of it)
Well said. I particularly agree with your insight on identifying gears.
Maps: awesome design as always
Difficulty of mobs: a bit too low imo. We are going to have access to two elite specs so it is warranted to tune them up a bit more.
Unidentified gear: don’t mind the system overall and appreciate the fact that we can get rid of useless sigils and runes. I find the price of identifying overtuned however and would suggest two tiers: green and yellow. T1-T3 mats for salvaging green and T4-T6 mats for yellow.
Mount(s): was on a fence before but it felt good to use it in the desert.
Chef mastery: enjoyable, got it on my third try.
Race: nice feature
Hearts: the first heart one felt tedious to complete. The other was ok though not a big fan of them overall.
Bounty system: cool feature.
Why tone down adventures however ? It is a solo challenge and most of them doesn’t even require to hit gold.
Why not just keep HoT metas on a timer and make player-driven metas in PoF ?
As for the general difficulty, I mean…expansions are still post lvl 80 content and with 2 elite specs to choose from now on or with a new elite spec that has been created post-HoT (for the very new players), I fail to see how HoT content difficulty from 2 years ago will still be relevant now.
Edit: I also feel like you are underestimating the surge of new/old players who quit before that will come/go back to the game due to the bundle.
(edited by flog.3485)
Actually it is possible to get the keys without doing the heart. Personally I completed the little achievement of opening 20 chests and i only bought 5 keys from the vendor (5 is maximum per day I guess)
I’m aware you can get them from drops (and/or event rewards, possibly) but given the amount of chests I saw while cruising around I fear just getting them from events will mean you’re always short.
Sure but in the other hand, if the drop rates is the same as the drop rate of keys found in HoT areas, there is really no need to buy them from vendors then.
Actually it is possible to get the keys without doing the heart. Personally I completed the little achievement of opening 20 chests and i only bought 5 keys from the vendor (5 is maximum per day I guess)
250 years have passed. How can you expect it to be the same ? I mean Nolami academy in GW1 is far different from Nolami academy in GW2.
You can find the dragon’s hunter bow in the different chests that your demo character have access to.
As for the difficulty……I don’t know. I used a power shatter mesmer with no condie cleanse and I never died during the story. I also barely play fractals and am still at the beginning of tier 2.
I don’t to be want to be rude so here are some advices: look at enemies skills and dodge the very obvious powerful attacks they have. Don’t mindlessly spam you skills with no consideration of cooldowns and daze/stun mobs. Believe me: having ascended won’t make much of a difference here.
Have you tried getting up up to the top of that first pyramid we see in the demo and glide down to that mastery point that is locked off because of quicksand ?
https://youtu.be/6Nqa23Rz9jg?t=748
ill just leave this here
please fix your video, we want to see
In fact core traitlines are not really forgotten. Barrier mechanism will be introduced with core ele traits. And there was also the mechanism of ammunition also but it is still all very vague so we will see tomorrow.
I don’t think it will be broken if you look at what the weaver can do.
we might see some tuning on both rows of elite specs.
For the millionth time, it’s already confirmed that you can’t have two elite specs in the same build. The entire reason elite specs are restricted to your #3 spec slot is specifically so you can’t take two elite specs.
We already know that the existing espec as well as core will have some tuning. WP mentioned it in his livestream. Reaper for example will basically be tuned for power and not condie since the torch offers some condie pressure.
As for spellbreaker or any other elite spec, no point to calling it OP said since we still didn’t have time to test them.
(edited by flog.3485)
As long as it is not flying mounts, that is ok :p
Why not go WvW ? In some places you even have dedicated places where people duel. Why even bring PvP to PvE if they designed huge maps for players to fight each other ?
Maybe we could just wait for the beta test to come up before saying that this trait needs to be minor or not…
Dificult content should have better rewards, and raids are harder than losing in pvp or following a zerg in wvw.
This is a fallacy, as has been mentioned you can buy raid boss kills just for example.
But you have better rewards. And in fact it is not being better but exclusive rather. It is called the legendary skin with its animated pieces of armor. Let’s not forget we play fashion wars in this game mostly. Not who has the better gear.
Well the best solution for Anet would be not make meta events in PoF start at the same time as HoT meta events imo . However PoF meta events should cover some of core game meta events.
No, the best solution would be to allow players to start the meta events as we did in Silverwastes and do away with the timers entirely.
Nothing was worse than missing out on the full DS maps and sitting around waiting two hours for the next one.
Right. I didn’t think of that. I guess we will see later what they have in mind.
Well the best solution for Anet would be not make meta events in PoF start at the same time as HoT meta events imo . However PoF meta events should cover some of core game meta events.
I think someone could make a legit sitcom out of gw2 NA PvP scene.
Better make a movie out of it….Something like 400$: rise of an empire ? ????
Matter of taste as well for me. Season 2 might have a clear goal but it was soooo slow, only started to pick up at the middle of the season and in the end, personally, I am more willing to replay season 3 all over again with a new character than season 2.
You dislike it’s chaotic nature, OP, but the story wants it to be chaotic. And it is chaotic because we killed a freaking dragon which released a lot of magic in the world as well of having a bloodstone that exploded. I would say though that the character of Kerida felt poorly introduced to the story.
As for the next expansion, it seems like, based on the trailer, that we are back to having one major story point to focus on: stopping Balthazar from messing around with the world. So I don’t really understand your fears.
And please, seriously, I fail to see how “magnificent” the ending of Zhaitan was. We all know that the final instance was sooo lackluster and even Anet admitted they didn’t have enough time to design a proper endboss fight.
Another grindfest expansion? Nice.
Another?? When did we get the first one??
Hmmm let’s see.
Mastery Point Grind via repeating Meta events and participating in boring minigames repeated times? Check. Maps with currencies related to meta events and resource farming in order to get skins? Check. Grinding said maps in order to progress the story? Check.
Can you stop pretending there was more to HoT content than grinding? And don’t come with the “Hurr Durr it’s MMO it must has grinden to b alyve!11!!!”… What this game needed was exciting content, a healthy flow of it, not locking players into farming metas.
I think you are wrong. May I remind you that in the past, everybody grinded the hell out of world bosses, Orr temples, queensdale champions farm, frostgorge sound and plynx failed meta events, dry top and silverwaste as well the (in)famous 2 weeks gated living world event in which, strangely enough, you bought rewards with ingame currency or for other grind related events, you got lots of mats to sell/use in order to become rich or craft yourself something nice………..I mean seriously, did you forget all of that ? I personally do not see not much difference between pre-HoT and now
As for the topic at hand, I agree with OP. Good luck to Anet
(edited by flog.3485)
Consider these two positive things about the new elite specs in comparison to HoT:
-no new class to design
-some mode specific separation of skills (there was none in HoT release)
It’s posts like these where I just know, no matter how easy arenanet makes maps, someone will not get it and complain.
The new map is tiny, well interconnected and has 1 official and 4 additional waypoints which unlock per account meaning all your future characters have instant access to them. Combine that with movement masteries from HoT and you can reach every location on the map within minutes.
This is you m8, not the map.
It feels more like some players can’t stand any change to the game whatsoever. But I agree, account based waypoints free after the initial cost are so good.
@ phokus.8934
We are playing Anet game, in Anet game mode, with Anet meta. We have Jebro throwing a tournament and he all of a sudden bans the best team from NA.
And no i dont see anything wrong, at no point has Anet taken a stand against match manipulation. YOU PEOPLE are upset about because for some odd reason, as if this hasnt been going on for 2 + years.
@ flog.3485
Wait you want to bring in real sports? Ok so you say Lance Armstrong but didnt all of the cyclist get in trouble for drugs? Oh yeah they have, people just hated Lance because he did things to win and was unapologetic.
Just so you know the Ben Johnson story done by 30 for 30 in the 1988 olympics about his 9.79 run or something. They took his gold medal away for steroids, years later they tested the blood of all 12 of the final athletes and guess what, they were all cheating.
Name any sport we can do this. Which is exactly my point about all of this, Anet has done nothing, literally nothing. Yet YOU THE COMMUNITY want to make your own rules about this situation.
What the players got in game rewards and some titles? Ive seen many of the Pro players in this thread only Duo que, only play at X times and so on. Yet we are mad at them for accepting money to put on fake mustaches and pretend they are other people?
Its no different then Kyrie Irving putting on the old man costume and going to local basketball parks and hooping up people pretending to be 60 years old.
The Abjured pretended to be other people supposedly and it did what? Did they cheat? No they hit a chord of some moral chord among a group of people when they have been playing a League system which has acquiesce cheating for over 2 years.
See response from CrashTheGrey higher in the thread because he summed pretty much everything I wanted to answer to you. I mean…..I just can’t get my head around your thought process. People can queue up at anytime they want because the system of any rank system allows this. People can duo-queue and are heavily incentivized to do so because once again the system in place allows it. And if you are any serious with PvP, don’t tell me it is such a unreachable goal to form a duo with anyone in the PvP lobby.
@ keyba.9570
Your talking semantics here, like im pretty sure no one would be upset had the Abjured came into the AT won it with there own accounts.
Heres my issue with that, Anet has done nothing with S5- S6 -S7 to deal with alt accounts issues. We have players in this thread who have said that they only duo que, that they have dodged que, ( certain players, it doesnt matter) and have had many players come into the same coms for ranked que. For instance you have a duo que playing and they get another person or duo que who they know and all jump into discord together. Yet team B has a lesser Duo que team and no one really knows each other.
Anet has been handing out titles to these people, if we are gonna talk integrity of the game, how does some one with 40 games 50 games or 60 games walk away with a top 150 title from a PvP season?
We are 3 seasons just about done with and Anet has not dealt with any issues that give certain players HUGE ADVANTAGES yet we are crying because some PvE players paid some Pro players to sub in for them? With all that has happened in the past 2-3 years in PvP, this is getting peoples goat?
@ Apharma.3741
You are playing it right down the middle, not fair this is the internet pick a side and jump on it.
It is Jebros tournament so of course he can do what he wants but for me its a bit silly. Many of the PvP players coming in who watch will have watched the Abjured players. They are the team of NA.
So this just becomes a issue of quality, if Jebro wants to do it hey go ahead. Then jebro says hey Gold players and below you cant be in my tournament, your not good enough. Then Jebro says Anet meta sucks well guess what no one cane play ele at my tournament.
Seriously what did the 5 players do wrong? They entered a tournament, lets just say as charity work for the community. They brought excitement to PvP by playing with 5 PvE players accounts to bring the hype. The won the tournament fair and square, seriously S1- S4 gave out Legendary titles to many players who play ion Silver league.
Yes its Jebros tournament but the short man syndrome is getting really bad.
If no one would be upset about them winning, why didn’t they play with their own account then ? You bring don’t hype and enjoyment about the game with fake competitiveness. Just like in any sport that provides competitiveness, you don’t allow fake competitor who has been proven of cheating (google Lance Armstrong for example) to take part in any new competitive event.
You logic doesn’t make any sense. Winning 400 dollars with account sharing has nothing to do with charity. And it is an offense to the prizes offered by the monthlies because players are not supposed to gain real money with these monthlies.
We are no longer in the world tournaments era when they won real money by playing the game. If they care the about the game, its competitiveness and its success don’t you think it would be better to split the team as for now just so that they can’t just faceroll any other team ?
Ah, another p2w Power Creep Pack. They’ll probably release it in September or early October so they can still cash in separately on Mad King and Wintersday specials.
While I could not possibly care less about their pve nonsense, I look forward to having to shell out the cost of the expansion just to have access to the latest mandatory OP spec in the competitive modes.
Until they nerf it, anyway.
Yes, must be terrible to have to spend some money on the game after close to 2 years.
Shame on the developers to want to live and feed their families.
I have no problem spending money on the game. I’ve bought 4000 gems this month alone. Thing is, I prefer to buy something because it enhances my experience in the game, and not because not buying it would invalidate it, as was the case with HoT (chrono vs core mesmer in WvW).
And tbh this is mostly the reason why the next elite soecs need to be on par with the existing ones. If not from release as close to it as possible. It will just make more ppl happy long term and overall.
I don’t think there is any reason, from a marketing point, to nerf the hell out of first gen elite spec in order to make next gen sellable, if it seems like any new player will now get two specs for one price. As for any veteran players who already owns HoT they can only be happy to pay again in order to have a choice of what spec they want to play I assume. And frankly a planned expansion from the get go would yield more success in terms of balance than a “we originally didn’t want to release a game with an expansion model” HoT expansion in which they also had to create a new class and design an elite spec out of it is such a tight schedule.
HoT was more fishy however since the core game turned free to play in the same year that the expansion was released.
Yeah imo we are in for a great expansion. I watched a streamer on twitch earlier in the evening who was under NDA and he sounded quite joyful and excited about the future of GW2.
Except that Lazarus was never revived. So that is impossible.
Party pooper. Ruining our dreams. Boooo.
Sorry to crash your party…. but seriously, nothing in recent developments and the trailer hint towards Lazarus so imo it is worthless to get hopes high up for that. I’ll get my high hopes up for some Livia personally
Except that Lazarus was never revived. So that is impossible.
Yes we know that. But that doesn’t mean Livia would not be involved in any way possible in the story.
How come the arm doesn’t have any glowing effect… Hope it isn’t. It looks so plain.
But the left arm has a glowing effect. Look closer
