Hero panel wardrobe needs some imporevements

As in you can toggle on the dyes/outfits/gliders/minis/mail that you don’t own in order to preview them, however no such thing is available for skins. Why can’t there be a similar feature especially that Hero panel allows for better customization of skin preview as you can dye each slot seaparately? Imo either preview window should get separate dye slots or it should be merged with Hero panel and locked skin preview enabled from the hero panel. Anyone who doesnt like clutter could simply toggle it off, like dyes.

No aura/arm effect, no draw effect, no projectile. Can we get at least one of these? Other main hands have these effects, dagger and axe have projectiles, arm effects and dagger has draw effect. Sword/mace have draw effects and aura, can we get some love for Meteorlogicus please? Like glowing sun projectiles with blue/puple trail, or equip effect with aura flash, or an arm effect with white/black clouds.

The site has not been updated with the release of heart of thorns, the professions page still shows only 8 original professions and there is no mention of elite specialisations.

I honestly thought this post had something to do with the map rage from people who crafted Wings Of Dwayna…

I kinda agreed with them too, they changed light flame walker armor because it resembled Human culture armor but eh, I didn’t spend +500g or what ever on a bow when now I can get the cheap 80g version off TP.

In reference to your post though: I would like to change the dye on my new weapon to match the Wings Of Dwayna bow.

Dwayna’s longbow and Wings of Dwayna look nothing alike, not even remotely.

For PvE, it’s pretty much bland, boring, useless, an dmore of the same. If the numbers are better, OH LOOK…more camping attunements! More reliance on Fire Staff and Fresh Air D/F. What about Warhorn? Yeah, it doesn’t have any blast finishers or projectile reflection/destruction…or invulnerability…or anything good really. A big fire field! Yay! It’s not like we can use it with dagger besides one blast finisher.

Oh…and more reliance on hoping bosses can’t move out of AoEs. So yay! It’s like things we’ve been saying and hoping Tempest will improve…it doesn’t! The traits are so boring and useless for PvE! The shouts? Yeah, maybe some use…but we still have to sacrifice a blast finisher and other support! The elite is great, but it’s weighed down by everything else.

I don’t do PvP and I rarely do WvW on my ele. I like to do high level Fractals and dungeons on this character. And really, this has just been a downward spiral. I’m not going to give up forever, but I just want to play the game with something new. So, I’ll look towards Forge or Revenant for now.

Not everything has to be aimed towards PvE, or you know we don’t know yet how useful support will be in HoT maps. This spec can make Cleric Ele a viable frontline support.

Going to try fire/arcana/tempest with run of the trooper. Take persisting Flames to keep up burning speed because we are probably going to have to use that as our fire field.

If not I might replace it with air… But only time will tell.

I’d love to try Air/Fire/Tempest since you can insta-recharge air overload with Fresh Air while aslo usin scepter 2/3 same time as channeling overload. Going Zephyr Boon/Aero Training/Fresh Air – Burning Precision/One With Fire/Blindin Ahes/ – and using Tempestious Aria in Tempest tree (might when using shout) you can stack up might+Blind foes with going Fire/Earth shouts for burn and snare, Fire shout also gives fire aura which is additional might, you can also go Rebound on one of your shouts. It can be a fun solo PvE build.

So what do you guys think?? Personally I like it very much, it opens up lots of opportunities for WvW frontline support (while eles are backline atm). I think Dust Storm is too similar to Sandstorm though, but w/e.

It is a pretty cool weapon but sort of clunky at the moment as dagger is just better in every way. We really need a rebalance/overhaul or Tempest will be just d/w thing.

So yesterday I played several hours of WvW on reset night and observed how Revenant could perform in a full cleric gear. I am not an avid WvW player but I do play it on most reset nights. Ok so here we go..

Weapon Skills
Ovearll weapon skills should have energy requirement reduced as currently they consumer too much energy as utilities require 50% is many cases. Weapon skills should have no more than 10 energy cost.
Staff – I spent most of my time playing with staff and I think a few things could be improved
-Increase base damage, there is no reason why Staff cannot serve as both damage and support weapon. If you have berserker stats your healin is low but damage will be higher, on the other hand in cleric gear damage is still low but healing is higher, I believe this is a fair trade off. Allowing weapons to have multiple uses opens higher build diversity.

-Skill 4 should be a blast finisher. Currently staff has 0 combo finishers which reduces its support ability. Making skill 4 a blast finisher will enable players to increase their capabilities, especially in sesne of blasting water fields for great amount of healing.

-Skill 3 or 5 should be a whirl finisher. Again, this would combo well with support abilities.

Hammer – I didn’t spend as much time on hammer as I did on staff but I still ran into some problems. This weapon has 2 blast finishers however using them is quite clunky.

-Skill 3 takes a lot of time, it should be quicker.
-Skill 5 feels a little bad since sometimes its difficult to activate as its calncelled by movement as fat as I could deduce form my experience.

Utility Skills
Jalis
-Inspiring Reinforcement should also pulse swiftness, currently you can blast it for swiftness however you have to stop and must have a hammer or mace equipped. This makes class extremely slow compared to any other class.
-Rite of The Great Dwarf should have cast-time reduced, currently its over 2 seconds of cast time for 3 second effect. This makes it extremly easy to interrupt and basically get killed in the process. Duration should aslo be 5 seconds as 3 is just too short.
-Forced Engagement, should have its energy consumption reduced as currently its just too useless because of a very short duration taunt.

Mallyx
-Unyielding Anguish should not bypass stability or defiance, I suppose that is a bug but its very gamebreaking.
-Not enough damaging conditions such as burning or bleeding.

Ventari
-Ventari’s Will should have energy cost elminitated and range increased to 1500. 15 Energy is quite a lot for something that just moves the tablet, also it’s a must use since tablet takes along time to travel therefore you need to keep it close to yourself. This skill should also have cast time eliminated because if you’re engaged in a fight you have to stop attacking call for your tablet just so you can use its skills.
-Skill 3(the delayed heal skill) Should have delay reduced to 1 second, 2 second dealy is just too much for a fast paced combat.
-Skill 2(projectile block) currently acts as a light field but is not indicated on a tooltip, I hope that function stays.

I know we don’t have any details but what sort of Elite Specs would you want to see? Personally, I would want a mainhand dagger(condi focused with torment/bleed/poison) with venoms as utilities that are also shared with your pet (maybe through a trait). Venoms just would seem so in theme with ranger (maybe called Predator) and could even have a GM trait that gives stealth when you cast a venom,

We will find out this weekend. We don’t even know what underwater weapons Revenants can equip.

Actually Revs do have a stun break – sort of – minor for Invocation line is stun break on inovking a legend. Obviously this is not as good as skill stunbreak but there’s still more legends to come.

Your post is worded a little confusingly. As far as dyes go, you don’t have to look them up on TP to see; they just appear as locked options in the Hero panel. As for skins, I agree. They should at the very least move the wardrobe function from the bank tab to the Hero panel.

yes but to preview them with the armor you havent unlocked, you have to use the preview window where you need to preivew dyes from TP or chat codes, or apply them to yourself on your current armor hoping you got the correct slot.

Hero panel offers WAAYYY more advanced preview mechanics since you can dye each slot individually, so why not get rid of the preview window alltogether and just put everything in Hero panel, this way we have a much better experience previewing stuff and Finishers/Minis/Dyes can already be seen even if locked. Right now you need to look dyes up the TP to preview them and there are only 4 slots that affect every pieace, moving all this stuff in Hero panel would be really useful.

Stats and Trait Lines

Currently we know aboiut 2 legends that Revenants can channel, Mallyx and Jalis, and as shown on the PoI they both have corresponding trait lines. Corruption for Mallyx(Prec, +condi dmg) and Retributon for Jalis(Toughness, +Healing). There is also another trait line that was revealed, Invocation which is the profession mechanic trait line and currently has +Ferocity and most likely will have a profession specific stat as the second bonus (like Virtue recharge rate for guards). This leaves us with 2 remaining trait lines and 4 remaining stats. Power, Precision, Boon duration and Vitality. In every profession so far, the +Power and +Condi duration are together, so I suppose it will be same for revenant as its +Prec +condi dmg. is same as bonuses for trait lines on other 4 professions. and its its +Tough, +Heal trait line has same bonus as trait lines for 3 other profs. This leaves us with a +Vit +Boon duration stat combo which is also common among classes, so I think these four remaing stats will be paired together as I mentioned (Power/Condi Dur) and (Vit/Boon dur).

Current Legends

As mentioned before we know about two available legends, Jalis and Mallyx, both of which are form different campaigns. Jalis is a character form prophecie (he did appearin EoTN but he was a bigger characterin Prophecies) and Mallyx is from Nightfall. This makes me think that we will get 1 character from each release as a hero, and since based on trait lines we will get 4 legends, they will balance on 2 Villains/2 Heroes.

Other Legends

Having 1 character form Prophecies and 1 from Nihtfall leaves us with EoTN and Factions. So from factions who else would be the Legend of the Mists other than Shiro Tagachi, the villain of Factions campaign. His profession is Assassin and this makes me think he will take power/condi duration trait line. From EoTN we will probably get a hero, who will take Vit/Boon duration trait line. This hero will be a character which was more support-based so I think this would rule out Jora and Vekk and obviously we are NOT gonna get Ogden since he is still alive, leaving Gwen as a supposed Legend we are gonna channel. Gwen also kind of makes sense since she was quite a huge character. But at the same time Glint is another possibility since she was so much more relevant than Gwen and is kind of hinted at with the dragon spirity skill in the trailer.

HOWEVER: If Vit/Boon dur line would go to Factions character its most likely gonna be Togo and if Power/Condi dur line goes to EOTN character it could be Svanir

Mesmer gs autoattack also has higher damage with longer range, it also can summon melee phantasm and can reflect much like the Revenant seems to do. Nothing gamebreaking. And you could say that ranged classes are anti-melee because they force melee players to either die trying to close the gap or go range.

Maybe similar to dervish but more grey? Rytlocks skills seemed to have grey effect and the legends had teal/ligh blue effect. Maybe it will be beige/teal/grey or just grey/teal

Missions

So there can be three types of missions for each order based on the purpose of the Order. These include various different activities in many corners of Tyria.

Durmand Priory – More exploration oriented. Missions include exploring Jumping Puzzles and Mini Dungeons, Obtaining different artefacts, and Researching different mysteries.

Exploration – For these kinds of missions the player is required to complete one of the many jumping puzzles and/or mini dungeons in Tyria, the puzzle is chosen at random for each player – homeland based on race gets more priority into RNG (e.g. Charr have more chance of getting a puzzle in Ascalon than Humans, Norn, Asura or Sylvari). For this player is required to complete the whole jumping puzzle and interact with objects on the way (so it can not be skipped).

Excavation – These kinds of missions require finding an artefact. These types of missions lead players to historical places (like Ascalon Ruins) where the player must find the hidden artefact hidden below rubble or being guarded by a monster (which has to bedefeated).

Research – These are missions based more on wonderful lore of Guild Wars. Players with these missions will have to visit the places they’re told to research about and talk to NPCs, find hidden tracks or messages to solve the mystery. (for example research about the Wizard’s Tower, meaning talk to locals and inspect the area, then bring your findings to the HQ).

Vigil- More combat oriented. Missions include protecting objects, escorting supplies and/or merchants, saving captives.

Defence – Missions like these lead players back to their homeland to protect objects such as villages, farms or havens from local invaders. To complete this missions player must go to the indicated location and activate the event. The player must complete the event and stay till the end, however nearby players may also help out and get full credit for the event.

Escort – These kinds of missions require players to escort supplies, merchant or otherwise unprotected figures to safe locations. When players receive their missions, he/she should find the indicated NPC (whose location is also indicated in the mail and it has “Show Me” functions) and activate the escort event. Player must complete the event till the end and may receive help from nearby players.

Rescue – This missions require players to rescue captives from opposing factions (centaurs, Inquest, Flame Legion etc.) These kinds require players to go to indicated location (which is usually local base of the evil faction) and safely get the captive out. When player arrives at the indicated location, he/she will have to look for the captive, which has shackle icon above the head, and escort him/her out. This requires the player to kill the enemies on their way in and out.

The Order of Whispers – More spy oriented. Missions include spying on special figures, infiltrating bases and assassinating people.

Spying – Missions like this require player to spy on an NPC withough being noticed, usually using the stealth (which is provided at the start). The player arrives at the indicated point and activates the missions, gaining permanent stealth (which is special kind of stealth and only works in a given area). After this player must follow the target NPC through the are (which appears after the mission has been activated). Player must stand close enough to see NPCs speech bubble, but not too close or the cover will blow.

Infiltration – These missions recall players to bases of the targeted factions. Upon activation of the mission the player is transformed into the enemy faction member (so the enemy factions are now allies and can’t kill you) and has to investigate the local quarter. Mission objectives include snatching away some valuable from the enemy, sabotaging supplies or leaking their plans to your order.

Assassination – This mission requires player to track down the given target and kill it. This is pretty much similar to Guild Bounty only that target dies and is a veteran instead of champion. The mail indicates its area of possible location (meaning that player has to search through certain given region to track down the target). After killing the enemy player must return a proof to the order, which is the head of the victim.

Rewards
. The rewards include the gold reward (which ranges from 50 silver to 1 gold depending on the length and difficulty (also effective level) of the mission. With this players gain karma and Order Membership Tokens which can be exchanged for various rewards ranging from Ascended Accessories to Order Gear or even Obsidian Shards and Heavy Crafting Bags-T6(for those who don’t want to or can’t do guild missions and don’’t want to take 2 months or more for both of the accessories).

Since PvP and PvE gear is not saved separately anymore, I believe equipping weapon in PvP and then getting rid of it in PvE might confuse the system
