Thanks to our Soldiers we have been able to keep the Pirates at bay. It is believed that the pirates are low on rum and hungover, a result of enjoying too much partying as top server!
The war is already won, it’s a bit late turning up a week too late and think the tide is turning. If SFR were out in full force, you’d know it.
The War is not over, just the battle. As it is Desolation is gaining new ground each week becoming stronger and stronger. Its true SFR are still tops, for now. Maybe that will change soon, maybe it won’t. It might be that next time we will close the gap that was between the two servers, it wasn’t a big gap after all.
We did it Desolation. We survived the Zombie-Apocalypse and Napoleon Bonaparte. We have lost many guilds to the zombie attacks but have become more unified overall. We must stay vigilant as Bonaparte still lives and may return again in force.
We have however a new enemy from the seas. Davy Jones and his Seafarers have washed ashore with an army that neither sleeps nor eats. These swashbuckling pirates are actually land lovers to the point they hold much of keeps and towers. Like a tide they belt against our tower doors day and night. It is said they have been cursed with an unnatural appearance and the inability to sleep at night. They can be heard singing “yo ho ho and a bottle of rum” while taking a supply camp near you.
We need more good folk to join our ranks to send these land loving pirates back to sea and out of our borderlands
Best server by far for all over experience for pve and wvw. desolation has proved itself time and again to have a solid backbone of great players. I myself do not play gw2 that much anymore but check regularly on how the server is doing. I’m suprised and delighted to see the server doing so well. Even as an ex iron player I think the best thing that happened to deso was becoming more militia with no big guild trying to dictate. So keep your chins up guys I’ll be showing up from time to time and always checking on deso’s progress. I highly endorse this server as a fantastic experience to play on
Even if i’m more Knight than Zombie, i love this campaign. You deserves it Deso !

why are you asking to be merged when you can simply move to a medium server? Plenty of good servers to move to if all people leave those 2 dead servers and Anet will then be able to close them down altogether, or leave them as phantom servers so the lowest server can feel like a boss

We are in high demand for NA and Oceanic guilds! No queues during your primetime. We are very often outnumbered however never fear, we offer training in zombie combat.
So picture this, you(blue team) attack a north tower or garrison with a zerg. Meantime Red team attacks your tower to the south. You cannot waypoint to the start of the zone or to your hills. Waypoints have been removed. The only way you can waypoint/ressurect down where your spawn is, is to die. Add a death penalty of 60 seconds too so that people wont be killing themselves to respawn south to defend it. If you switch maps it also takes 60 seconds to move from the spawn point.
This would mean people would have to spread there numbers a little more and cant abuse the break in contested waypoint to get a zerg in to defend a keep. It would also punish the zerg for being too far away from its keep/towers thereby encouraging people to break into groups than run as a supergroup. If you die having to wait 60 seconds isnt too bad, You could allow the player to access merchants to sell stuff while waiting for spawn release. Other than that the other way to break up zergs would be to have bigger new maps.
btw heres a way for them to break up the zerg vs zerg stuff. Rid the maps of waypoints except ur spawn waypoint which can only be used after death and have a resurection timer of 1 minute 30 secs if you die. If you switch maps you also have to wait for 1 minute before you can leave the waypoint.
You need the penalty for death for people to not abuse death to reach the waypoint to defend the other side of the map. likewise you need to penalise waypointing to another map to add numbers to a fight or using switching maps to come back to your own borderlands waypoint to defend a tower in the south.
This would mean people would have to take care of where they are at all times to be able to defend a structure and it would take more effort to stay in a bigger group. until they do something like this or bring in new bigger maps it is in peoples interest to run as a zerg to generate points for their servers. So stop taking about you blob, we blob crap. Besides some of you need a minute break to get off your backsides and stretch ur legs when your being an armchair warrior. >.<
Desolation: a PVX server with a strong presence in WvW. Stable an stubborn like a donkey never gives up and much of the time plays for fun. Often having zero queue times during the day for WvW with around 5 and sometimes 10 mins queue at prime time.
Vizunah Square: WvW server with excellent recruitment. You think you beat them and they bounce back. Thier structure with pugs is what keeps them at the top. Fantastic community that mixes and works together, they have perfected the points game and tactics for winning.
Seafarers Rest: WvW Server which gained alot of organised guilds and dominated first place in tier 1. Done over by Anet allowing free transfers to the winning T1 server which made it near impossible for this server to play effectively since it was built on guilds and not pugs. Queue times became unbearable for some guilds and they left. SFR will rebuild.
Is this all u could get by using AC? lol u suck m8. They’re not reason to show off, I get much more in open field fight and don’t even make screenshot. My advice to u: do not disgrace your guild. No offence))

mate, we did it all right, not our fault if anet made FREE transfers to a rank 1 server, screw all our organization and costed us already 4-5 guilds that left.
U played this week 3vs1.. Deso/Vizu/Anet vs SFR.
We did all we could and did it right.
Nothing to blame at our guilds/players but to Anet and his incredible decision.
Love your style of propaganda. Time will tell what happens to SFR from here. In fairness, new and bigger maps are needed to combat the zerg’s ability to cover the map so quickly. Until then the blobs will rule
I had a skirmish with about 7 enemy players, had 4 guys running with me. we downed some of them but the had thieves and revived them in stealth. When i had alot of abilities on cooldown i was jumped by a thief that used steal to hit me for about 4k damage, cloak and dagger for another 4 k and then hit me for 7 k with backstab all in about 2 seconds. i had about 5k hp left which he easily finished off while i had no abilities left due to cooldown. I dont see where skill is involved in being able to do that kinda damage in 2 seconds
Its becoming pretty clear that it would probably be better for some SFR guilds to transfer to Desolation if they want to beat the Vizunah beast. We dont have your crazy queue times and are a stable T1 server and dislike Vizunah for the same reasons you do. just throwing it out there.
LOL – didn’t seem like you disliked them this week… the other night you held the door to garrison for them preventing us coming to defend while viz capped the lord room… and then we spent all night busy bouncing between the forts while you and viz took it in turns of attacking us… I thought it was just one of those difficult coincidences that sometimes happens… that is until last night….
Last night Deso and Viz were BLATANTLY working together… it was embarrassing. Deso had a blob… Viz had a blob… and we had 15 organised players plus an unknown quantity of pugs (and you can confirm that by asking your spy last night). When Viz attacked Hills/Garri/Bay from one gate… Deso attacked the other gate… BUT, what made this unusual was that you were both map hopping to the exact same maps all night.
Then when it became blatantly obvious (against 11 organised players) that we had a Deso spy in out teamspeak feeding information to IRON…. we were ticking on +150… so we all switched to a passworded channel and look what happens… Deso ticks at +170 and SFR ticks above +200 again.
Seriously if you can’t blob against 15 people without cheating then you don’t deserve to play the game.
Firstly, I dont control what the late night commanders decide to do. I was stating that I “personally” prefer SFR to win rather than Viz who have been around longer then than you.
Secondly, we play to our own advantage. If theres a chance at resetting a tier 3 keep we will assist with it regardless of which server is defending. Why? because its in our interests not to be the one getting focused. If we assist another server in resetting a keep it makes it easier for our server on that map.
Thirdly, your skills in fiction are pretty epic. we dont need a spy to know your movements when we had people across maps to report what was going on. Obviously we saw viz attack your hills and went to assist the flipping of that keep. When you mention your tick increasing that was due to us losing people to their beds at around 6am to 7am BST
You have one good week and you get the guts to call out that you would be the next top server? If people would transfer to you, you would get the same problem we have right now, just saying.
Its not the case of us doing better than you this week, Desolation has spent more time in teir 1 than any other server other than VZ. I simply made a comment for some of you guys to consider, however you may be able to rescue SFR from being the next Blacktide. Personally i prefered you guys winning than Viz

Iron’s TS too has been cut off at times when we were defending/attacking SFR garrison. I remember thinking “wow we repelled them even without being able to speak to each other” so yes there has been problems with TS over on this side too this week
fact 1 – When VS were rank 1 all this thread was full of bashes against VS.
fact 2 – Now that SFR showed himself uncontested rank1 the bashes against SFR come.

The old “pirate” days of SFR are not gone, the server pride is not gone, the heart is not gone, the underdog feeling is not gone (seeing as we’re still Medium most of the time, at least compared to other servers).
Honestly what has medium server got to do with anything? You have the MOST organised WvW guilds in EU ladder. How long are your queues? they were 1 hour before the free transfers i believe, yes?
Desolation very often had no queues till the recent patch and if we had a queue at all it was 5 mins tops. You guys had Full WvW maps, we didnt. It has nothing to do with the size of the sever it has to do with the amount of people playing WvW so please stop this " we are the underdog cause we are a medium server bullkitten" You havent been underdogs for a very very long time, since before the fall of Blacktide. Sure you carried the “Medium” size server for quite some time, but your WvW numbers were not medium. Hiding behind saying you are a medium server implies you have less people than us and still win which is a load of kitten sandwich

You need to understand that SFRs success was based on various guilds working together.
you forgot to mention alot of bandwagon guilds you picked up on your rise to T1. If Blacktide guilds stuck around longer rather than getting burnt out you wouldnt have been as successful. You reaped alot of players from blacktide, and other servers dont forget that
P.S. we are not random people we are in the game as long as you are. Many of us have been in T1 longer than you
Were doing well on Deso tbh, the matchup is getting closer every week ! and i do like farming all the bandwagoners the past 2 days.
How funny, I can say the exact same thing about Desolation… I just finished another Gift of Battle only farming Des’ bandwagons those 4 last days… ^^. During my playing time (so I don’t know for the rest), I think we did not lose any fight vs Desolation, and I would even say it was pretty much a stomp everytime time.
