Why cant the winning server move up and the losing server move down?
A server could than push to move out of a tier that they are deadlocked in, at least for a week.

It would also be alot more competition for the new server linking system to face as many different servers as you can instead of the same matchup for the whole linking duration.

I have also brought this up before…a type of ladder system.

This suggest was already made before and was put down due the situation by the time.

Prior the links the population was still somewhat distributed over the tiers, with most populated servers on top and less populated ones at the bottom. Having WULO (Winner Up Loser Down) back then would just cause the same server to keep getting one week of win and one week of loss while keeping the middle server always in second since the server that moved up would be under populated to the tier above and the server that moved down would be overpopulated to the tier below.

However, now with the server links, the population distribution is a total mess. You have a server that can queue EBG at 10am EST stuck in the lowest tier in the game while you have a degradating server that is bleeding guilds stuck at T2. While WULO would still not be the best option, it would actually move faster servers that are in the wrong tier when the links change before creating the situation mentioned above.

But the ideal would still be having glicko reseted every pairing and let it stabilize by itself. We would have some random and problably loopsided matches at first, but at least we would see some new matches, but after a few weeks each server would end where it should be and we would have somewhat balanced matches before the change of the links.

There are people who like to be on the lesser populated servers and there are people who like to be on the blob servers.

I’m sure that most of the people that didn’t wanted to be on bronze already left. Otherwise there wouldn’t be so much “near dead” servers as we have now. It used to be ET alone, but now we have SoR/AR/Kain/SF and possibly FC/BP on near dead status.

Merging bronze servers will make the people that want to be on a low population unhappy, as you are forcing them unto a server with more people (somenthing that they could have went for if they wanted, since we can transfer anywhere). I’m willing to belive that it will result on losing more players than actually fixing anything at all.

If anything, EU and NA should be merged to try minimize the coverage problem. But then, there are the latency issues…

The problem is that if you leave tomes out, people who only play WvW cannot level up as WvW no longer award exp… Ideally we need more “WvW themed” Reward tracks that give us siege (Hero Weapon and Triumphant armor give some) while the Dungeon ones keep giving tomes for people who need them.

Or maybe let us trade tomes for siege…

Most of the people currently run between 181-200% crit damage, have a reasonable high sustain, multiple boons with high boon duration, and still hit like kittening trucks thanks to the Power Creep introduced by HoT.

Honestly, using T4 match as experience for anything isn’t viable. You wouldn’t be able to defend against YB zerg with a handful of enemies either way, and YB would still be able to build 3 other omegas with the keep supplies if they couldn’t repair their golems.

Golem rushes can only be stopped with man power. This isn’t new. And Hammers certainly aren’t the problem here.

I’ve said already that reflect/absorb projectibles shound’t be able to block catapults and trebuchets (Arrow Carts and Balistas are OK)… But people just say it would turn elementalists useless and blahblahblah. I don’t mind the 3man requirement for Tower/Keep ones, but for camp/sentry/dolyak it’s just silly.

I don’t think defending should be made any easier right now. There are tools out there for you to defend with. If it was made any easier, it would dissuade people from fighting for objectives again. Many of the defensive tactivators and improvements (hardened gates, hardened siege, chilling fog, airship defense etc.) have been nerfed to improve this.

I’d trade all those tactivator kittens for walls where i can place siege that won’t be AoE’d down by meteor shower.

We don’t tank, even if it means passing on an opportunity for free transfers. There’s plenty of servers in need and trying to skirt the system just wrecks things for everyone.

Red was chosen as the permanent color because it fits the desert theme, not because of symmetry.

Remove the leap finisher from Heartseeker. Problem solved.

Then Thieves would have the worst stealth access in the whole game compared to every other class that has it and they are designed for stealth unlike every other class in game.

Plus your suggestion would ruin more than just Stealth on Thief since that finisher is useful for a lot of other combo fields. The best idea is to implement the 1 sec ICD on stealth stacking across the board.

I hardly see anyone use Heartseeker other than stack stealth. Your “that finisher is useful for a lot of other combo fields” argument is silly because of that. Besides, you have Bound for all your leap finisher needs.

Sure, the ICD on stealth aplication would be the best, but you cannot suggest hard to implement things because you can be sure they will never happen.

To be honest, thief should just be totally reworked so stealth can be reworked too.

Would be a interesting test but I doubt they will bother to remove one of the core mechanics of the game for a game mode that barely receive attention.

Honestly, considering that most large guilds in this game already have all the WvW auras, I don’t see a problem. Even in my server who have lost several guilds we still have enough guilds to claim everything with all auras. What’s the problem of ArenaNet guild claim if it’s the same as pretty much every other guild? At best it’s a issue for the owners of the keep because people will want to take it down at all costs just like they would chase a Anet tagged player.

With the state of the game in some tiers, EotM is much more appealing than W3.

I’ll tell you what. I run zerker mesmer and the only condi build that give me trouble is the condition chronomancer. This one is broken beyond repair, no doubt. But even dire/trailblazer necros fall short simply because instead of running domination line for dem high crits, I run inspiration for sustain and condi clears.

The Mist Form issue has complete counter play but few ever learn it. You can Immobilize them and they cannot go anywhere. That is L2P.

All condis are removed when the target goes down. An ele expecting to be downed will be spamming 2 to turn to mistform as soon he dies. Sure, there is a counterplay, but it’s pretty bad and only someone dumb will sit downed instead of mist form right away if he’s close to a tower

Its a clip from a documentary. The problem with this guy is that he does this every week… He (and his group of 4) contribute nothing of consequence to his server. Then he comes to the forums and talks crap about guilds that rolled his face because his group of 5-8 killed a straggler from a good guild group that was destroying his server. The problem here is that even after beating SF and doing your chest thumping, HoD (or more specifically MU and VLK) keep comming stalking SF to keep talking crap about them… Maybe if you left SF alone, you wouldn’t “have enough” of the people that YOU are calling out.

EVERYONE knows that SF is no perfect server… They win by overwhelming numbers during the prime time, but they fall when facing a server that have a sizeable force on their enourmous coverage gap… Anyone that deny this is an absolute blind fool.

So we don’t need some Tier1-Tier2 try-hard to come down here on the slums to talk about how we live play. If you can’t handle the forum war, stay out of it.

Block list has a limited size, you know. It is useful, but mostly as a short-term solution only.

You are contradicting yourself here buddy… They are reducing the +150 adjustment they made before to only +75 since YB is being competitive at T1 scorewise. Which mean they are REDUCING the chance of YB rolling T1 and not giving them a steady holding in it.

And yes, warscore is the metric they use. Much better than KDR which can be inherited from only engaging when you are sure you can win promoting people to run away and fight when only outnumbering (happens a lot regardless of KDR tbh). If we were going to judge for KDR, FA would keep bouncing between T2 and T3 everytime because they are always at 0.7 on T2 and 1.5+ on T3 when we already saw that FA shouldn’t be on T3 (When YB moved up and FA went down when it should have been DB).

FC and GoM will be struggling for 4th in this matchup… The next matchup for FC is a sure 2nd, while GoM can easily win their last matchup.

If FC, beat GoM for 2nd this week, both will tie with 23 pts. Otherwise, GoM will be 4th with 25 and FC will stick at 5th with 21.

To be fair if its 5v30 you should lose it. Theres nothing that those 5 people could do currently, since a 30 man group shouldn’t wipe to 5 ac. Maybe now they could disable the siege long enough to call for help.

If you are inside a sieged tower by the time the enemy get to it (or even a little after), there will be little to nothing they will be able to do unless they really decide to commit time for it (Which most zergs don’t). With this stupid trap, they can simply walk inside any T3 tower without even having to commit time for it.
