It was BROKEN people so they got rid of it. arena net is just responding to the probably thousands of players complaining about this obviously broken path. if you want a challenge run arah. F/U wasn’t a challenge anyway if you run it right the first time but it was broke so they fixed it by getting rid of it. I love this game except for all the whiners who play it. besides maybe this new path is the challenge you are looking for. I am looking forward to it and will definitely be on when it comes out.
The solution to “my car has a flat tire” is not “BLOW IT UP”
i mean
blow up the car not the tire that’d make sense
(edited by Sarrs.4831)
if you want more condi cleanse, run legendary dwarf or centaur
These trait facts are super duper neat. I haven’t looked to see whether absolutely everything is covered, but still, I like them.
Prince Thorn seems like a cool twist on King Thorn. Haven’t seen his whole storyline yet, but he’s better than Scarlet as a villain, so that’s nice.
Labyrinth is basically Crown Pavilion MK2. I got my achievements done and left. Whether the Crown Pavilion was your bag I don’t know, gameplay wise, I didn’t much care for it. Thematically it seems far better than Crown Pavilion- Instead of destroying literally millions of robots in a hole in the ground, we’re going somewhere foreign.
Traits and skills got jiggered about a teeny bit, but without a more long-term analysis, it’s difficult to say whether they’re better or worse. Really, there’s not much new on the class front. Honestly, we really need some new weapon sets/utilities/traits, and a bigger mash-together of current traits and utilities to try to create a bit more build variation. The game’s biggest threat at the moment is becoming stale, in my opinion.
Idk if you want to swap out shortbows with something I’d say swap them with crossbows.
Personally I actually really like that there’s a distinction between longbows and shortbows because they’re very different weapons.
You said “don’t like,” I said "mildly allergic, because your version failed to represent an actual problem with the content beyond simple distaste.
well yeh
because there isn’t an actual problem with the content beyond simple distaste
Whether you like the raids or not, the fact remains that it puts a burden on people’s time and skill sets that other content does not.
so raids are like
rock biscuits?
just don’t eat the rock biscuit
You can eat a cookie that you’re mildly allergic to, but it is a far more unpleasant and inconvenient experience than merely not being your favorite flavor.
or you can just not eat the biscuit idk i’m not a surgeon
As I mentioned yesterday…. these types of changes really will prove a point. There is a huge disconnect between the dev team and the forum users. Very soon, we will find out which one knows what they are talking about, and which needs to learn to listen.
To me it just seems like they don’t have any idea what they’re doing. If the dev team can’t actually foresee these things, then get rid of them and get some forum posters in there.
Alternatively, they don’t care, and there’s strong compelling evidence for this as well so \o/
again if it should be account bound why do alts not start at level 80 ?
1. In sPvP, alts do start at level 80.
2. In PvE, there are eight different classes which each have distinct playstyles and systems. There is one WvW levelling system.
Remove Hydromancy because ONE class has traits affecting chill? Why affect builds for ALL classes because of ONE class???
Because Hydromancy is very strong for almost every class, it’s just extra strong for Reapers.
Pretty cheesy when that damage is covered by loads of evade time lol. Hopefully when they ever decide to balance the game, thatl be toned down in the first wave.
It’s entirely a skill issue. You can interrupt the downward swing of the vault, you can dodge the vault. A guardian can use their elite skill, or poop out a ton of Aegis to block the Vaults, or they can use the Dragonhunter shield to protect themselves. They have some interrupt tools, but not many- of particular note is that greatsword pull and spear pull will both ignore whether the target is dodging or not so you can brainlessly interrupt the Vault so long as you attached the spear or greatsword. You can also soak the hits using the Focus block or you can use Shield or Longbow knockback to interrupt.
If you land the 5 on LB(probably not meta) or Hammer(lol) you create a zone that the thief can’t even dodge through and force them to pop steal or shadowstep.
- I was on a heavy armor class “Dragonhunter”
Just targeting this point in particular; heavy armor class is trivial compared to having Toughness as a stat on your armor.

Arrows move faster = interesting?
are we on the same planet
Quick q, Izzy, are Boon/Condi Duration actually on the table?
Here we go again…
If you are practicing against a version of a boss with detoothed mechanics, you are not practicing against the boss. You have no way of knowing which mechanics are important on a detoothed boss.
Why do you need a special practice mode when you can just practice in the existing raid mode?
last week I managed to play 3 sessions, that was worth 1 of the 4 wooden chests, which means no tickets for the leg.backpack.
Then all my pips got reset, if I play 3 sessions a week (several hours each) and I can’t even complete the wooden chest, then I might as well not play WvW at all, since the leg.backpack has become exclusive to people who don’t have a job and don’t have a social life
To get the wooden chest, if you are earning one pip per tick, you need to maintain participation for 8 & 1/3rd hours. This is the absolute largest amount of time you need to open the Wood box. You only kept your participation up for about 2 hours; you’re not doing ‘3 sessions a week, several hours each’.
Personally I find DH silly because the new f1-f3 are flat upgrades over the old virtues instead of different f1-f3, like how Reaper Shroud is a replacement for Death Shroud. They’re different abilities, they have different names, I don’t understand why they’re basically Virtue+1.
The “challenging and competitive” parts of them are only subjectively a part of having fun. Some people have fun with challenge and completion. Some do not. It’s important to offer challenge and competition for those players that enjoy it, but also to accept that what is a “fun” challenge to some is a “punishment” to others, and that those in the latter group should not be expected to participate in that content, should not be penalized for not participating in it. High challenge content should ONLY be for players that enjoy it, and those players who do not enjoy it should have NO reason to participate in it.
Misdirection.
You didn’t say that fun was the goal, in which case I would agree.
You said that it would make you happy, but that is not the goal.
Why would anyone need a better argument than that?
Because you’re missing the point of rewards.
They reward you for things.
Legendary armor rewards you for gettin gud and doing raids.
But the point is that I’m no less deserving of it than they are.
No they’re more deserving than you because they’re clearing the current, harder targets which you aren’t even willing to try.
That’s a bit of a tautology though, it is that way because you insist that it’s that way. I could just as easily say “Legendary armor’s behind kegbrawl because kegbrawl throws beer kegs around and beer keg-based content gets better rewards.” There’s absolutely no reason why harder content would necessitate better rewards.
No, it isn’t a tautology. I’ve given you plenty of reasons why hard content should necessitate unique and/or better rewards. Don’t stretch so far, you’ll pull a muscle.
And you need Legendary armor to wear the legendary armor skins, which is more important to many people than being able to get into raids. YOU place a value on being able to get into hard mode raids, do not assume that this is some objective reality.
No, ANet places a value on being able to get into content, up to and including hard mode raids.
Why?
Why is it nonsense?
Because it’s a reward, not a content blocker.
That was before they added Ascended armor and made a complete lie of that statement. It hasn’t been valid in over three years now.
Nah it’s still easy.
And by that standard getting Legendary armor is not difficult, it just requires money as well. But accumulating massive amounts of money is difficult to many players.
No it isn’t. Nothing in the game says “nope you can’t save any more money up”.
Nor have you given me a reason to need one. It’s a game, the goal is to have fun.
I haven’t given you a reason to need a reason? lol
You miss the point of the example.
No I get the point it’s just a silly example.
The qualities in an item that you value are not universally, objectively superior qualities, they are just qualities that you subjectively place higher value on.
I dunno dude. I think I could make some objective assessments on how superior higher stats are. Maybe some empirical testing.
I’m just trying to help you understand that there exist in the world people who are different than yourself.
Oh gosh!
I never thought of that before!
I thought everyone was a perfect clone of me with the same desires and needs and wants!
I have seen the light. Thankyou Ohoni!
And the value of that social license is also subjective.
No it’s pretty objective. It’s an MMO. Managing social interactions is kind of how you do the entire thing.
Again, no. That would all be helping YOU to shape me into the sort of player you want me to be, the sort of player that embraces hard mode raids for what they are, rather than asking for something different. That would do nothing to help me play how I want to play, happily enjoying an easier, less frustrating version of the content.
An easier, less frustrating version of the content exists.
Youtube
If you go into a steakhouse, and order a steak, and the waiter keeps offering ways that they could provide a vegan steak option that they insist you would enjoy just as much as the steak that you ordered, that is still not helping you, that is them trying to help their own agenda in the guise of helping you, or at least just trying to shut you up about what you’re actually ordering.
I would leave.
If you think ANet is providing too much content that you don’t like, then leave.
If you think that I am not providing helpful words, then stop responding and/or leave.
Not as an individual, as a member of the player body. Again, if I thought for a second that what I propose was about me alone, I would not want them to do anything about it.
Oh. Personally when I provide suggestions or feedback I am very careful to ensure that it is my opinions and experiences that I am providing, and that I’m not speaking for everyone else.
Hint hint.
No.
That’s just silly.
I don’t know why you’re addressing me. Miellyn made the argument. You should respond directly to them.
they’re right, you know
Any player who beats Easy mode once, cries “DONE!” and moves on to something else, is not a player who would EVER clear hard mode, or spend more than a couple hours trying. This is a nonexistent player you’re referencing.
No, I do this. I killed M Archi for the achievement- not just the mechanical achievement, the actual achievement. I cleared Aetherpath because it was new content and I wanted to do it.
Whatever happened to “people are different”? It was such a beautiful, shining message. You really opened my eyes but now you are turning your back on it.
If this is true, then these players never belonged to the normal raid pool in the first place, they just didn’t have options before. They were not yours to own.
Man who is not the target of raids decides which people belong where.
What they were “meant” to do is entirely irrelevant, all that matters is what the players wanted them to do, which was to make them cheaper.
What kind of nonsense is this?
Of course the intent behind the implementation is relevant. It’s the only sane way to measure the success or failure of the change.
A “non RNG, non-TP” method was never needed. If you wanted to avoid RNG, you could just use the TP instead. The alternative that was needed was one that involved negligible gold cost.
A “negligible gold cost” option was never ‘needed’ either. ‘Need’ is complete nonsense in a virtual world with a pretend economy where nobody is starving to death.
The collections actually do something very useful by indexing the price of precursors to materials.
So basically, soft solo queue.
Honestly I would have absolutely no problem with hotjoins being completely replaced with soft solo queue.
Are ‘presents’ for buying gems with real money going to be the norm now? Am I the only one with a bad feeling about this?
I’m perfectly okay with it if Anet actually comes out and says it. Just put it in the gem store; “buy gems with real money this month and get a complimentary x!” But hiding the exact dates until after the fact seems a bit ethically dubious.
(edited by Sarrs.4831)
there was no reason to cater that demographic. (Of course, falling sales might have been the reason).
Evidently there was, otherwise they would not be contributing to player retention
Why do people use “simplistic” and not “simple”.
The game already has enough complexity to make it interesting. Warriors could maybe use another mechanic, like 2 adrenaline skills (mainhand/offhand, or 2 for 2hers) but other than that, the game’s fine. What the game really needs is more breadth (more utility skills/weapons) and more depth (more interplay between abilities/boons/conditions, more build versatility).
The topic is the validity of the survey and not of all other approaches.
If that is the topic and the only topic, then we can end the thread very quickly and easily:
There is no reason to believe that there was any aberrant behavior that would invalidate the poll. The poll was clearly worded, and the outcomes and requirements of the poll were clear. There is no reason to believe that participants in the poll did not participate in good faith.
(edited by Sarrs.4831)
Your use of the word “myopically” is arousing.
Sexy, sexy big words. Mmmm.
There’s a worthwhile distinction to be made between “rewards” and “content”. Increasing rewards is very useful, but increasing WXP rewards is a very narrow avenue in which to do that- It only affects the behavior of people who are already invested in WvW. Increasing ‘real’ rewards, and by that I mean things that also take place in the PvE world, is a good way to reduce the divide between PvE and WvW. This does need to happen; there’s huge hubbub about PvE being a gold gain and WvW being a gold sink, for example. There’s a huge argument (not in the sense of devon shouting at everyone else, but school of thought) about rewards, incentives, and corresponding behavior.
Rewards are a pretty rubbish substitute for actual content, though.
Also the metrics could be “how many people entered WvW today”, and that’s no good. I enter WvW just to use the karma vendors and then leave, but I’d still be counted.
yes you can say that you can avoid traps thats understood but if the group is focused elsewhere a dragon hunter can fry people in matter of seconds and it doesnt need any skill at all.
Specs based around dealing large amounts of damage quickly are very good at dealing large amounts of damage quickly? I should be taking notes…
You have to get every weekly done? I’m a little bit miffed at that. It seems as though this would be a good place to give people leeway; 3 of 4 weeklies done should be enough to be eligible for the title.
Also, need to pick up the rewards in the week immediately after? That sounds somewhat shoddy. I’m guessing this is because of a time restraint rather than being an actual design decision, but if this tournament structure is taken well, I hope there’s a better solution in the pipe.
I also really like the sheer amount of rewards that you get for completing the weekly. Players on the bottom end of last tournament didn’t get very much; I think they got more from the bugfix mailsend than they did from actually finishing their meta. If you get your weeklies done, you’re practically assured 400 tokens.
I have to honestly say… Why not have this system all the time? Badges of Honor are a lot like Guild Influence; you get lots of it and it doesn’t matter. A second currency, akin to Guild Merits, which you get as a component of a weekly achievement block would be really neat and could go far to increasing the rewards you get from WvW.
My only issue is the rewards (which Anet continues yet again to balance properly)
Why are they offering stuff that is available outside of WvW and can be acquired at a non-fixed rate? I’m talking about all the ascended materials, obby shards and karma.
Who in their right mind would spend these valuable tickets on items such as that?
At least you can get these items. I’d much rather the opportunity than not.
(edited by Sarrs.4831)
I think we should probably wait until they disable free transfers before making a judgment.
We should also tell ANet to disable free transfers.
So I realized a few days ago that there’s quite a long list for The Ascension legendary backpiece. Notably the “Multiclass” achievements needed in the Competition tab – Year of the Ascension. You basically have to play Ranked with every class to earn these 1 through 5 (long list) of achievements.
You only have to complete 2 class achievements for part 1 and 3 class achievements for part 2-4. While it may be a bit rough to get those, personally I’ve had very little trouble getting my P2 achievements playing relatively oddball specs (PU mes, Juggernaut Scrapper, Venomshare DD) supplemented by my main (Power MM).
These multiclass achievement forces players, most notably PvE players, to choose classes they don’t normally play (or ever play) for Ranked PvP. Granted, they’re all in Amber & Emerald Divisions but players who stick to one class grinding it out to Legendary are forced to queue with these players who normally don’t main a certain class due to The Ascension achievements.
Firstly, the Ascension is not targeted towards PvE players. While that isn’t to say they can’t participate, they should be required to follow the targets that are set for PvP players.
Secondly, if someone is playing one class ad infinitum in low leagues, then they should very swiftly get very good at that class and the matchmaking will give them enough matches in their favor or balanced matches that they can quickly push through to Sapphire and Ruby.
So we’re literally seeing
Well, yes.
unbalanced matchmaking that’s often lopsided due to class stacking as matchmaking tries to double up classes vs a duo, etc. More importantly, the results is equivalent to the initial release of the Class Daily Achievements where matchmaking was unbalanced because players were using classes they don’t normally play just for the sake of completing dailies…
While I’ve seen more wild class matches, I don’t think it’s been too egregious.
Secondly, people will eventually either stop grinding against the wall with their bad builds or they’ll learn good builds. And again, you don’t even need good builds; I used B-C tier builds to get mine.
Sure certain players/teams would overcome this by passing the early divisions with their win streaks but a lot of SoloQ players are stuck playing with these baddies due to the Ascention achievments; of which, is basically a buffed up Class Daily system but never ends….
I am a solo queue player and I have had absolutely no trouble pushing into Emerald even though I was one of the bads who was playing alt classes.
Instead of pouting and QQing, I recommend changing these achievements completely by separating the multiclass requirements into a more in depth single class requirement. Instead of 7 wins for your main class, increase it to 15, 25, 30, etc etc.
Is that actually better? Why not just strip the specific class achievements entirely and instead add more wins to the win achievement, or why not add a 12th option for the meta so that players can either take the alt class achievements or the new suggested one?
I suspect that once people start reaching legendary on their main, they’ll switch to the other classes as it wouldn’t matter. This only worsen’s the matchmaking system…. because I know i’m going to do exactly that once I grind it out to Legendary.
IMO, the best strategy is to push your alt wins while you’re in Amber-Sapphire, before switching to your main to push Sapphire-Legendary. You’re facing weaker competition so you get more wins, making your achievement go faster, and your losses are countered by the low league no-pip-loss and no-tier-loss.

Question.
Why is she spending resources terrorising every zone when she should be saving up for the attack on Lion’s Arch?
Ahem. Wildstar.
Wildstar failed because it was a full-price box with a $15 sub fee for a fresh IP when rock-solid IPs were transitioning to B2P/F2P left and right. Even if the game was god’s gift to man it wouldn’t have worked at that price.
So with GW2spidy numbers
1 copper ore = 40c
1 gold ore = 1s20c
1 silver ore = 50c
2.10*3=6.3s a day.
Current gem price puts the price to buy the nodes at about 62g.
620000/630=984 days to break even. Same as with the gathering tools; they’re convenience. Would’ve liked if they were Rich nodes.
It’s pretty easy to do solo. I would wager that most classes can do it.
Nades and Mortar definitely fill the same role as sit-back-and-bomb weapons, and the Nade kit does it better. It synergises better with its own talents, has a more practical range trait, you can still move while doing it, it doesn’t have a cooldown…
I don’t think that the Mortar works well as a Turret item. It doesn’t have the set-and-forget quality of the other damage turrets, and its synergies with the other turrets hamstrings its range of balancing.
If I was gonna make changes, I’d do:
- Base Grenade Kit range reduced to 900. Traited range 1000 or 1200, I’m not sure which; probably 1200.
- Mortar changed to a Kit. Base range 1500. All skills immobilise you during their animations.
Axe’s issue is not its range.
It certainly is one of them.
It isn’t. While it’s not a strength, it isn’t a weakness.
Axe’s main weakness is a useless 1. 2 is solid burst + LF regen, and 3 is solid cripple+retal. They’re not stand-out amazing, but they’re not supposed to be.
No idea; sorry mate. Fingers crossed it’ll be soon. If you miss it, you can watch their previous livestreams on their channel there.
It got mentioned before:
I would actually be a-okay with a Trahearne mini.
But only if it talks.
Moving on.
Apparently the winners of each week, as normally through normal warscore, get victory points of some unknown number as well.
So with skirmishes this normal victory point score will be augmented with the victory score generated from skirmishes. But we don’t know the rating scale or important winning the week is vs how important winning skirmishes is.
This is way too overcomplicated.
You get warscore as normal.
At the end of the skirmish, your warscore gets turned into VP depending on who has most warscore.
At the end of the week, most VP wins.
(edited by Sarrs.4831)
I think I speak for everyone in this thread when I type ’we’ve had enough of Kasmeer and Marjory’. We all clearly want a male couple, that will set things right, the majority of this thread identifies more with a same-sex male couple.
trahearne x canach pls anet. fruit salad!
I have a concern. What if they decide to make it based on sPvP gearing rather than PvE gearing? I doubt anybody would actually want to have that.
And one more thing. What do you think Guild Wars 2 is rated? Oh yeah, its rated T for Teen in America. Now, I might not have been a Teen for 6 years, and I am still a fan of many shows and comics that I grew up with, but I think its more Absurd that you guys are Expecting, worse, Demanding, a M for Mature story on the level of Game of Thrones instead of taking it for what it is. That’s actually moving away from Absurd, and more towards “Then why the kitten are you still playing this game? Its obviously not sophisticated enough for your palette?”
A children’s story which cannot be appreciated by adults is not a good children’s story at all.
-I think it was Mark Twain
I’d be willing to accept the story if the basics were at least right. There was a post earlier in the thread saying that Scarlet is better than Trahearne; Nah. Where Trahearne is Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’s Qui-gon, bland, devoid of emotion and sometimes a bit of a poor decision-maker, Scarlet is Jar Jar Binks. They’re both rubbish. “One is better than the other”? Pishposh. One character being terrible is no excuse for another character being slightly less so, but still terrible enough to earn the quantifier. That just means you have two rubbish characters.
I would prefer this too, but Devon has made it quite clear that account bound WXP is off the table. (Even in that quote I posted at the top of this thread).
Instead of arguing for what we can’t have, I’d like to see Devon be successful on his “personal goal to improve the experience for playing alts in WvW.”
I honestly doubt that it’s truly off the table. His reasoning doesn’t make sense when it comes to not allowing account-wide ranks, and it’s a position that doesn’t match up with just about every other system in the game. Either there’s something in the code that prevents doing it easily, or he’s got some other reason for not wanting to do it.
Those saying the old maps are better usually have a point and explain why they’re better.
Why do you think the DBL is a better wvw map than EB or ABL?
I don’t know if I think DBL is a better WvW map than EBG or ABL. I haven’t done the legwork involved to know for sure.
I personally prefer it because it favors small group play because
-Shrines give solo/small team roamers something to do that will contribute to larger groups
-the size of the map means that small team fights are of greater consequence
-coordinated small teams can better outmaneuver blobs
-there is a higher level of technical ability in understanding how you can move around the map (including in respect to shrines, haybales, fall distances)
I ultimately don’t think any arguments that revolve around whether DBL is better or “worse” really make any sense because the variation is so small that it doesn’t have that much of an impact. It doesn’t need to be as good a map so long as it conforms to a baseline level.
I do think that earlier, while barricades were still in the game, that the map was unnecessarily obnoxious and in that state of the map I would not have drastically minded removing it from rotation entirely- but it was changed, and the map still can be changed.
I didn’t, you spoke of hills and lake. I was referring to that.
You did.
It is a competitive game mode after all and if there’s no one to defend or attack or if attacking/defending is made impossible by how the map is set up…
Attacking and defending are not made impossible by how the map is set up; not any more than attacking or defending are made impossible by how ABL and EBG are set up.
You can’t defend fire keep against catapults set up on the north end. The static siege in earthkeep tries to destroy itself, you can’t get catas out at air keep as the range of the acs doesn’t match and so on. Tell me where exactly I’m wrong.
Against catapults set up on the ridge next to the camp, on the plateau near the shrine or right next to the wall? The last two can be dealt with. The ridge is difficult but it’s far from impossible, and that’s why you have inner; Fire’s inner is probably the hardest point to attack IMO.
Static siege in Earth keep trying to destroy itself sounds like a bug. You should get more details on that and make a report.
“You can’t get catas out at air keep”, what does this mean? That the good catapult positions on the staircases are difficult to attack? On the spot on inner which is about 10 meters beneath where the actual wall is?
Strategic: I want to keep green keep, therefore I have to defend Jerri and Aldons, otherwise attackers might have an easy cap.
I want to keep WC and Klov, so I better get SM or at least make sure they can’t attack these towers – that goes for every colour. I’m still not happy about red keep and SM and also not so happy about the recent changes made to the walls of WC and Jerri.
So it’s about objective interdependency, and you don’t think DBL has much if any objective interdependency. I don’t really think that objective interdependency is that important and that it’s an interesting point of divergence for a map but to each their own. To say that means that DBL involves no strategic element because of this, though, seems far-fetched.
Of course it is, so? Am I required to bow and nod because some PvE players want their karma train?
Yes. I am the god of karma and I demand you kneel before me. Receive my obsidian shardly goodness and wear my temple gear or be banished from my realm.
Edit: Secondary issue: When did you start to play wvw?
I had my first poke I think in the second-to-last beta weekend.
So that’s like, $40-60 bucks a year, if it’s gentle.
I hope that includes a loooot of content. Expansion pack levels of content. Because that’s what $60 is; an expansion pack.
Also, something that I’d like to see; smaller transaction sizes available through the gem store. Paying $2.50 is nowhere near as intimidating to your wallet, compared to $10.
Also; will it be possible to gift Living World episodes to other players?
Morons try to play a unsupported game mode, get trolled by a quite humorous asura with power, come and complain to the source of said asura, because kitten logic.
Really hoping and expecting this to be a sockpuppet.
I would like to point one thing out: current system also heavily favors heavy armor classes and eles/necros because those can stay in zerg and gain ranks faster where medium armor and the rest get kicked from squad/get forced into roaming so overall their rank gains are lower. Which results in actual class discrimination.
This is false. You do not need to be zerging to get rank gain. An efficient roaming pattern will get very solid WXP gains; the only consistently better way to get WXP is karmatraining on an empty map. If you’re karmatraining anyway, commander don’t care what class you bring. A good roamer can exploit objective tagging to gain WXP from the targets or they can fill a forward scouting role for the commander and the commander will give them scout credit for WXP gains.
If you’re an effective roaming scout, you will get the best WXP rate in the game with the commander feeding you Scout WXP while you also gain your own WXP at a strong rate. I’d have to check, but I think you also get the WXP of the other roaming scouts as well.
Perma-orb with like, a half hour CD, would probably be pretty reasonable imo.
There’s a transmute trick you can do to move it over.
1. Level an alt to level 30 and complete the story quests to join the Priory (or whichever faction you want to get gear from)
2. Use Transmutation Stones, taking the appearance of the Priory armor and applying it to a set of unbound white or blue gear. This will make the gear account-bound, and you can move it to your main.
3. Use Transmutation Stones to apply the appearance of the Priory armor to your real armor.
It’s an expensive workaround, but it’s a workaround!
Multiple modes is a bad idea because reasons that have been discussed ad infinitum.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the game expecting you to play at a certain level. If you don’t want to play at that level there is tons of content available for you; dungeons, fractals, LS steps and open world.
it wasn’t ‘beta wvw’ it was specific wvw features that were being tested over the short term
reward tracks were a beta feature now they are a live feature
world linking was a beta feature now it is a live feature
No, these are all bad changes.
If you want to make death magic a better line, it is better to directly target the tree’s weak traits i.e. make soul comprehension something that isn’t kitten .
i don’t see why personally defending the camp is not an option
if it’s important, devote people to it
