If you have that much time to do all of those things why not use in game gold to buy slots so you can actually see your accomplishments?
They listen to “us” they don’t listen to “you” every company must do this or go insane.
Kind of missing the point with specializations it seems.
One of the more paranoid ramblings.
There have been people posting how they are completely uninterested in the game since release. As seen above they are still posting this. They will be posting this long after I have moved on to another game. Weird hobby.
^ Yeah that’s pretty much what I mean.
If you’re still on the forums, you haven’t quit this game.
Some players still watch the forums because they want a reason to come back, because they like the core game. But the updates and “features” added to the game since launch have shown them that the devs intend to go in a direction that is very clearly against what they wanted the game to be. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of something you wanted to believe in, so you check from time to time to see if anything changed. It hasn’t? Well maybe in another 2-3 months.
If the game has not gone in the direction people enjoy in more than a year and a half chances are incredibly high that they will continue not to change in the direction they want. Reading and posting on the forums then is kind of counter productive for everyone involved.
Can people stop with the insults and over the top hyperbole? It was a bad decision probably demanded from accounting and alienating staff who are probably on our side is counterproductive. Say you don’t like it, it negatively impacts your game and you will have the staff on your side instead of sitting out on the discussion.
If you are not contributing support in a group environment you are pretty much just dead weight.
Context seems to be missing so really don’t get it.
Everything you wrote is either huge or completely irrelevant to me personally.
umm from the 15th I have done teq every day in a pug setting and I have a 70% success rate. Sorry that you do not.
Getting tired of pump and dump tp postings?
Can’t say I agree with this. You can play just the meta events and get more in WEEKS of play than that, not even getting lucky drops just breaking down the rares and selling the mats.
You are misguided. You are not supposed to sell all your salvage. You are supposed to collect it to craft with. If Anet is balancing the game with that assumption they are also confused. OP is correct in that the game doesn’t offer enough rewards especially gold. The problem is that they create rarity by horrendous drop rates. Stuff in this game either drops too much or way too little, there seems to be no in-between. If the OP wants just 1 item and they put all there efforts towards that it isn’t unreasonable that they should get it because they are sacrificing everything else. Hardcore players, or “Pro players” as many mistakenly call themselves, will acquire almost everything. These players can’t rationalize the OP’s wish. The situations are very different. The real problem is people are greedy and this is half responsible for destroying the game experience. Anet place in this is not understanding that and setting limits as to how much selfish players can ruin it for others. Anet allows virtually unlimited pricing on the TP, they set unrealistically low merchant values, and they set horrible drop rates. I one day hope Anet wakes up to this and implements the simple solutions I have mentioned.
I could very well be misguided. When Ascended came out I had 50 gold and 2000 gems from how I play the game. I now have 500 in all the crafts, 3 ascended back pieces (1 through tailor), 1 ascended weapon, 2 more lvl 80 characters a couple of gem store purchases and 90 gold in the bank and 2000 gems. I got one lucky drop of a skin worth 100ish gold. I did not buy gems, I have never changed gems to gold. I don’t dungeon run and I don’t do champ trains. But I do have fun and when it is not fun I shut down the game and do other things.
I agree with this. I never could understand the reason for the guild mission waypoints being contested since nothing happens anywhere near these spots. The damaged ones from season 1 should either be fixed it as suggested turned into POIs.
Your logic is Raid content=only caring about HC players? thats the biggest and most inane leap iv ever heard.
Agree
As long as you are not in a Rush, you can pretty much stay in tune with what is happening.
Elementalists are notoriously annoying to level. I barely got mine to 90 without giving up.
Anyway, I have to say I disagree. Difficulty does not equal poor design. If you want to mow over mobs like a demi-god for 40 hours, play World of Warcraft. I, for one, find that to make the leveling experience boring and unbearable.
I gave up at 80, gj on getting all the way to 90.
As Morrigan said it might be better for sanity’s sake not to have any ‘gifts’. Anyway I did not play GW1 so there is absolutely no baggage that something needs to be given on character anniversary, though it would be nice whatever the gift is if there actually is a gift. Maybe it will be a horse so you can look it in the mouth?
Just adding my voice that I think it is a bad idea to include a drop of an extra item that is not widely available anywhere else. Not a good plan.
Thief.
That needs to type more than 15 characters.
Stop asking guys. Just wait. Its only 2 weeks away.
This is Guild Wars 2. You can miss a lot in two weeks.
LOL well done.
They will need to add entire maps for the areas to add in the other dragons, so they will most likely only be added with expansions.
Jormag is further up in the Shiverpeaks
Primordus is underground
Kralka-whathisname is in the Crystal Desert
And “Bubbles” controls the oceans so he will most likely come with the Elona (or hopefully Cantha? Cmon devs, pretty please?) expansion. There will be no expansions, which leads me to believe there will be no dragons.
True, I did not eat raspberries yesterday or today so I am stating that raspberries do not exist.
5×365=1825
Can absolutely make a legendary.
As for Cotton, Linen and Wool? You can use karma to get those and you get enough karma playing in SW (if you don’t just chest farm) and I’m willing to bet the new zones will be packed full with events for even more karma income.
. . . I’m curious as to how? I know a couple quick ways to ensure Wool and Cotton, but Linen has been an odd one.
Bloodtide coast light karma gloves, from directly below LA on west side heart.
use LFG, post add with your lvl looking for similar or higher for a fun run. Should work.
(That’s all i have to say)..
As the saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”
Yeah, but Beholders can cast an anti-magic shell and get like 8 attacks/round. Kinda hard to argue with that.
I just had to log in and say well done!
The actual game is 50% off this weekend. Someone can buy 2 copies and have more character slots, storage etc. for the same price that you paid originally. Do you seriously expect “compensation” in the form of $30/euros/etc. because someone can now buy it cheaper? Or get another game for free because GW2 went on sale? I hope not.
Oh god, now you have done it. They will start this now.
Really like the confusion and mesmer changes.
If s/he uninstalled it’s not like s/he can send us her/his stuff…. sadly XD
This is an interesting gripe though. I mean, most people complain bc they have to do wvw for their mapping… not that its the same map 3 times over. chuckle
They can always re-install to increase the dramatic effect. Then we get the stuff.
Weekend posts are always so…. interesting?
Don’t play if it is not fun?
you have it at 80.
About a game? Never.
If you mean you where verbal in PvP and people remember the toon name, no never then either.
I confess I occasionally post on necrod threads.
I also write short sentences.
Why do people who seem to be obsessed with others shooting themselves in the foot always seem to have their own foot firmly planted in their mouths?
Wildstar is directly targeting WOW. GW2 is not. With the trinity, raids and graphics wildstar is setting itself up to try to pull people from there. GW2 is set to target those who do not get a kick from trinity, raids and whatnot. There are people on forums who say GW2 is dying because they don’t have what Wildstar is putting in, they will leave, but they would have gone back to wow anyway so not a big deal (game is already bought).
I never understood that mindset personally. If I don’t understand then frankly it was not directed at me.
For those saying NA servers should only have english I would point out that for a large chunk of NA english is not the main language used. Even in the US there are several states that have more Spanish native speakers than English including California where the company is based.
Don’t panic it is not a problem. You have 2 active crafting abilities at any one time (can buy more active with gems for some reason) but every character can gain experience in every craft, switch by talking to the npc, you do not lose any experience if it is switched out to a different one.
As said above it is not really vital which you take but if you only have the warrior a armour crafting and weapon crafting works.
Edit: guess I was slow in typing. Also use https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players for better advice.

also you can account bind by transferring onto a white item the skin using transmutation crystals for lvl 80 items and the stones for under 80 items.
(Suggestion) add living animals to guild hall
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Yargesh.4965
I am not sure how to phrase this but I think it would be neat to have living moving things in the halls. They seem quite empty even with all the decorations about.
Some birds flying around, some of the various beasts from different zones walking/swimming in the areas of the hall would be cool. Would be non hostile to guild members and guests, don’t know if you would want them to be hostile to GvG combatants, but could add some spice. No loot drops at all is a given.
Not to mention a Dr. Evil fantasy of sharks with laser beams on their heads would be fantastic.
The idea seems to be that it is easier to get a company to completely redesign their game than to level another character to 80 in the species you prefer.
I stop at claw island now after doing 1 toon all the way through. I have alts for all races so I know the basic story from most sides. The latter storyline just does not impress me at all.
Luck just effects mob drops and I believe some aspects of pvp drops. It does not effect chests or bags that you open. The boost you get in Silverwastes is a separate matter again.
No.
Irony
If getting to level 10 is a huge issue I really don’t know what to say. The only way I can think if to not get to level 10 in a very short period of time is to not move around and only kill mobs that spawn right beside you. Exploration gives huge exp, killing mobs that have not been killed in a while gives huge exp, doing event chains gives a lot. Posting on forums does not give in game exp.
100% sure it will be added.
100% sure I have no clue when.
