As soon as one scrap is guaranteed in a box I might consider it.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
This doesn’t sound like a poorly programmed NPC so much as a player who didn’t take the time to look at what he was clicking — four times.

…Yak’s Bend
Because exploring new areas while leveling was one of the best experiences I have had while playing Guild Wars 2.
because
1.) there is nothing new in the existing map or Anet destroyed the use of it
2.) we want what GW1 has, a giant scope to explore with different moods everywhere, i have yet to see a desert in GW2.
Even if you craft Ascended Weapons and Armors for you main pg, unless you throw those away you’ll need to make an alt to store your Ascended Mats.
I think it is time to make them saleable, at least to normal vendor…
We need 1-click crafting:
You select the object you want to craft (assuming you know the recipe) and click on it. All recipe items (that are not already in your possession) that themselves require crafting are automatically crafted before your target item is itself crafted. And if you do not have the materials necessary, nothing is crafted.
The current crafting method of having to create each sub-item one-by-one brings absolutely nothing to the game but tedium.
They do. They really do. That is why I have no faith left in GW2 pugs.
You should always find a buyer before you sell expensive items, come to an aggrement with someone, its always better than crossing your fingers, im not advising you to do it outside the TP though, you should always go through the TP
Finding a buyer who you can trust with such high sums is near impossible. I know I’ve been too greedy and listed too high but finding a trustful buyer probably takes longer than a few weeks. And yea it would’ve been better for me if i wasnt undercut by such high margins. The price has been pressed down to 2500g since which is absolutely horrible for me.
With my play style, I get much more bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments than dragonite ore. I would pay for a device (or more likely a consumable service) that allowed me to convert the other ascended mats to dragonite ore.
I wouldn’t mind if it cost 3x – 5x the materials as wells as the cost of the converter (e.g. 400 fragments to make 100 ore).
Would this be appealing to other people?
it’s designed to trick new players into spending 1600 gems on stuff they don’t need
Since December 10th I’ve been observing this bug on a regular basis when summoning the Phantasmal Warden. Rather than attacking the mob straight away the Phantasm will just stand there idle rather than attack.
Sometimes it starts attacking after a few seconds (instead of right away) but often it just doesn’t do anything.
I didn’t observe this bug much before December 10th so I assume it has something to do with it.
Firstly, you are fooling yourself if you think the bonus toughness on 3 Knights pieces are making any difference to your survival, especially as you’re level 49. Sucks that you got those pieces in ascended, but that’s why top players released early-meta updates featuring ascended.
15/15/0/20/10 sounds like a Hammer build to me, which isn’t really close to optimal in a regular dungeon, Hammer is more fractal-based. You probably need a Sword/X and GS and retrait as you switch between them and Fractals to qualify for a “speedrun” group.
And likely yes, Soldier runes will likely get you kicked as they are horrible. Your shouts shouldn’t be used for condition removal, Retreat should be saved for Aegis, and SYG saved for the Stability.
Dump the Soldier runes and put your 10 points into the bottom line, picking up the trait that allows Virtue of Resolve to cleanse 3 conditions. This, along with Purging Flames, is more than enough condition removal.
I can understand you not wanting to replace your 3 Ascended Knights pieces, but if you are getting regularly kicked, just buy 3 Exotic Zerker pieces and be done with it.

Level 40 is really just a gear-check to make sure you have enough AR, it’s not tough. If you’re struggling there, you won’t have enough AR for anything higher than that, so give into the vertical progression system of building up AR or crafting ascended for the +5s.

John Smith will never say anything outright so as to prevent market shocks. You won’t get a response on that.
I went ahead with Berserker, since I prefer the raw damage over conditions, especially in PvE. I also use it in World vs. World for that matter (full zerk, since Mesmer has decent defensive skills), so it wasn’t too hard a choice for me to make.
I’d much rather have spent my time working on a Legendary set of armor though. I would love being able to switch stats out of combat and play more with builds while having a single set or armors and trinkets.
Seafarer’s Rest
Knowing that phantasms won’t get the “out of phase” buff and will do 0 damage, you’re better off with a build that buffs self DPS. Its doable with 10/20/0/25/15, I’ve done it before, but you’ll be cutting it pretty kitten close.
naa it would be too easy to use and give an advantage to proffessions w blink in my opinion, it would lessen the skill it takes in this game, i am against it
The skill comes from deciding when to use it and where you want to blink to — not the mechanics of button/mouse mashing. The brain did it’s job already, the game is holding the player back from greatness.
Changing skills to be easier to use is a great thing.
EDIT: An analogy is chess — you win by deciding on good moves, not physically picking up your pieces and moving them from A to B better than someone else.
in case you haven’t noticed, blink can be very buggy and screw you over in sticky situations. one problem is teleporting to the max distance, but because of the uneven ground or stump in your way, you hardly move at all. another problem is in high stress situations when you need to port max distance away. i find that, for the most part, when i use blink in these situations, that i accidently go a little too far and cancel the spell. now, though the blink bug is an obvious fix, i have a theory on how to help with the second problem. keep the max distance, but make it so that if you scroll past that, it locks to the furthest place you can teleport. i think it would help make blink a much better ability.
Another one of these… Fun!
1) You can advertise your own party. If this is how you want to fight, then DO IT!
2) If you are asking the dungeon community, I must say you will not like your responses.
3) If you’re asking the devs, you’re wasting your time
4) You’re mainly just wasting your time either way.
Any chance we could get more fights requiring groups to spread out and…play? I know many are perfectly content with the whole “equip full berserker, stack, buff, reflect, and chain rez or rally from downed state until mobs die” thing, but that gets old. Unfortunately most people and groups expect this type of play now.
It would be great to see some mechanics that amplify mob outgoing damage based on closer proximity, even with trash mob fights. This would require some people to actually fight at range. Some of the most fun I’ve had in game were during difficult fights that required dodging and awareness. Now, nearly everything is trivialized by stacking.
I believe it’s nursing a complacent, less-skilled player base. Stacking and LoSing aren’t what dungeons should be about. Many of the LFG ads reflect the stack-to-win mentality that dominates dungeons. This was copied from a screenshot this morning:
“P1&3 / Ping ZERK or kick / EXP only / No necro, engie, ranger.”
Obviously ads like this have been around for awhile, but I still get disgusted by them. Unfortunately the current standard of dungeon combat does nothing except to promote ads like this.
I’m hoping for the winged set to have flames.

A bit too late for you but the safe way to go on bank or character bag slot expansions is to buy directly from the panel. If you have a little padlock on the next tab down you can click it for an option to buy another one. Once you’ve maxed, there’s no little padlock.
I can’t see many people that were not interested at release being interested now. Not to mention, more silk is probably being salvaged now it’s worth something.
At release it was profitable to sell damask bolts, currently it’s not, a lot of people saw the profit and sold sold sold, now there’s no profit they are making it for their own use.
Legendaries have been in the game since release. They were sellable from the beginning, and very soon people created a market for them. Anet cannot simply remove this option because many players have money invested in them, others are saving up for them, etc.
This was a mistake, certainly, but they are stuck with it. Ascended, on the other hand, were added to the game later, and by this time the devs had realized their mistake and did not repeat it.
There are new Legendaries coming, including other gear than weapons, and a method to craft (acquire?) their precursors that doesn’t involve RNG or the TP. My personal theory is that this will involve all new Legendaries with Ascended precursors that are account bound, following the example from Ascended crafting.
But it will probably be a few months before we know for sure.
Talking to folks in Chat over the weekend… shouldn’t Legendaries be the ones not sellable on the Trading Post? They’re the supposedly truly rare, almost unique, items that arguably no one would want to part with. Ascended, on the other hand, just feels like Exotics spiked with Grind, shaken, not stirred
Yeah, I see the problem. You’re using berserker gear against a world boss when you can’t crit against it.
More Scarlet updates!
Could have had a full suit of raid gear in WoW with the amount of times you spent killing him…
More like full Raid gear and decked out in full pvp gear as well. And the encounters would have been more challenging and fun.
edit: And probably had a couple rare mounts drop, and be able to outfit alts with other drops, and made a substantial amount of gold, and got some crafting mats, and etc, etc, etc.
This is spot on. Time spent within GW2 isn’t rewarding, when considering the atrocious drop rates and the extreme grind. The skins aren’t that amazing.
I always have something to do in WoW. Always. Here in GW2, I log on, linger in Lion’s Arch for 15 minutes and then just log off. Nothing is interesting or challenging enough.
The dailies absolutely killed the game for me.
