The keys alone are more cost efficient than buying them normally but even that is stuff based on RNG. Who keeps buying these keys anyway? There are more cost-effective ways of getting black lion tickets.
Maybe those cost effective ways are not time efficient?
I find the chests themselves boring. The greatest new addition, an item that let’s you change the boosters … while practical I still have to yawn.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
Nooo, I’m waiting for the first threads about this.
250 sand and nothing in it
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
if you need a different answer, it’s “nothing”
as they have said, in anets eyes it is working as intended.
As far as I remember this bug first appeared during Scarlet’s Attack on Lion’s Arch. The inventory kept shrinking every once in a while sometimes when u open it, and almost ever time u log in to the game.
You guys fixed it quickly back then.
But the bug came back with the Feature Patch on 15-th April. Please fix it!
Playing true S2e1 i was fascinated whit the new map and the wibe of the whole place and armour – head gear. Its not elonian but desert still. I would love to see a dungeon in this style. Sand, canyons, devours. I think it would be an epic dungeon and experience and i think that the armour set could be really something different than the current gear.
They will ad 500 jewelry in December. Because December is the last month for 2013 earning.
They will release jewelry crafting in December. So poor people will buy gems to boost Anet 2013 earning.
Seriously, some of the offers for a permanent hair style contract are higher than most LEGENDARY weapons now.
WTF?
Anet, will you ever release more of these? Because this has been going on for months, and it’s just getting ridiculous now.
Am I the only one that thinks this is insane?
My mesmer wants to learn Kasmeer’s version of portal…
They should really add it as an Elite skill in the future. Make it so you can ground target 1500 feet away for the exit portal, and the entrance appears at your feet. Because that would be a game changer.
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald
I think this sums it up pretty well.
The Leveling & Open World Compendium
Just curious…what do you think of them.
It takes 10 of them just to see you get nothing.
I think they need to make the prickly pear recipe use 1 pear for the 30 min version and 2 for the 60 min version considering the low drop rate of pears from cacti.
As for the nopale, 2 and 4 would have been alright. As it stands, there are a lot different level 80 foods that use level 400 food crafting materials. The effects of these dry top recipes don’t really warrant the amount of time and effort placed into making them. Orrian Steak Frittes and Koi Cakes for everyone!
I you havent noticed, we are running out of koi cakes. Sonder the Seller, who until the Bazaar arrived was trading 5 zhaitaffy for 1 koi cake in Vigil Keep, was nowhere to be found when everybody moved back into LA. People suspect that he was traveling with the Zepphyrites and we all know how that ended.
We went from over 500k supply in February to less than10k now.
Chop, chop!
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
I’ve been waiting for some power/condition duration for my engineer since I hit 80 on him. And finally, in the form of Prickly Pear Stuffed Nopale, I’ve got it. Unfortunately, it’s an account bound food. No problem, though, since I’ve level Cooking on each of my characters.
So I grab the recipe from the vendor and learn it on my engineer and go to cook me up a dozen or so of these bad boys. And…each one takes 20 prickly pears? That’s…a lot. They also take 5 napole. So that’s 5 of the common cactus yield and 20 of the rare? I can’t help but feel whomever inputted these values for this patch got them mixed up. Either way, for a 30 minute food that doesn’t offer any statistical bonus over the other common level 80 foods, 20 prickly pears seems prohibitively high.
These are, after all, consumables…they’re designed to be used. But with a cost as high at that, I’m going to wind up locking them away in some guarded vault along with the rest of my most cherished possession.
Basic lesson here, do research BEFORE you spend money (which you didn’t have to BTW you can get to 500 relatively inexpensively if you’re patient). It has nothing to do with Anet that you made rash, and inpatient decisions.
If you had done research before hand you would have known
-leatherworking is the cheapest Gift of Blades
-ascended crafting is time gated
-The least expensive way to level crafting
-That recipes tell what craft you need to make them
Sorry if this isn’t what you want to hear you kittened up, everyone does at some point try to learn from it. There are less forgiving places to make mistakes than a video game.
Would it be a bit much to ask if the shoulders and gauntlets were able to be toggled? It just seems kind of silly you can’t hide the shoulders or gauntlets, but you can hide the helm. :<
Redgen Furyblaze – Charr Guardian – [SHD]Shade Warband – Tarnished Coast
Lerious Warhowl – Charr Warrior – [SHD] Shade Warband – Tarnished Coast
I think this is a terrible idea.
That poor guy who wants a precursor can’t post a buy order because he spent his karma on obsidian shards? He has to pay more?
PvP players will get super shafted because they have no money and no karma. They have to buy from the lowest seller?
This hurts everyone badly and has no place in a game like this. Essentially nothing will be bought on sell orders. I’d run out of karma in under 4 days and then I have to spend 10 hours to post orders that will last 30 min??? I’m honestly suprised you posted this because I thought you would understand how bad of an effect this would have on the game.
Here are some changes that I think should be done to improve hand health while playing this game:
Crafting improvements:
Inventory improvements:
- All remaining one-time instant effect consumables like essences of luck, drinks that count for thirst slayer and potions of karma should get the Consume All context menu entry.
- All containers, bags, boxes and packaged goods that produce random loot on use should get a right click context menu option to “Open all”. Choosing that option would open a small panel that looks like the bottom half of the crafting window in the crafting panel, with a progress bar and a cancel button, and stopping automatically if the inventory is full.
- Transferring items between the bank and the inventory should require single clicks from the bank panel. Same with the collections panel.
- Hidden tabs or closed bags should be ignored when transferring items between the ban and the inventory by clicking them.
- Empty slots in invisible bags should be the last to be filled by the system (e.g.: Looted items, crafter items, items from loot bags…). If there’s any other empty slot in the inventory, getting an item should put it in hat other slot instead, giving priority to the player to use invisible bag slots.
Salvage improvements
- An option to bypass the salvage confirmation dialog could be added. For example, once this option is enabled, clicking with Shift+click with the salvage cursor prompt would not make the confirmation appear.
Autoattack improvement
- When a ground-targeted skill has auto-attack enabled, holding the left mouse button or skill key down should keep the ground target marker visible and attempt to continuously use that skill on the target marker instead having to repeatedly press them.
- A toggle option could be added. So using the skill once starts autoattacking, and using the skill again stops autoattacking, instead having to holster the weapon to stop.
Autotarget improvement:

Toggleable Ctrl and Alt:

(I ran out of space!)
What other features you think could be added to reduce strain in our hands while playing?
Done!
- You can disable activating objects with right clik in the options panel!
- We can salvage in bulk!
- When transferring stackable items from and to the bank, the client searches for stacks of the same item, and tries to send then directly to the stack!
- Vendors got a spinner and number boxes to buy in bulk!
- Recipes from consumables are now account bound (except a few bugged ones, report those if you find them!)!

Dear ArenaNet,
I know you need to make some money and that you put some items in the gem store. I’m fine with that, I know you need to make money to keep the servers running and to make these content patches.
But please don’t make Belinda’s greatsword a gem store only item. Make it something we have to work for, we have to craft, we have to obtain. Make it an item that shows you dedicated time to the game rather than throwing money at the screen.
Make it something like Mini Liadri, not everyone has it because it was hard to defeat Liadri. Obtaining this item and the corresponding title felt good because of that.
So again, please don’t make this an $$$ item but rather an in-game item players have to something for.
I hope some people also share my opinion and Arenanet will take this into account.
XX:00 Tendril, Race, Moa
XX:05 Serene, Froggy, South Mine, Queen
XX:10 North Mine, basket
XX:15 Tendril, Race, Moa
XX:20 Serene, Froggy, South Mine, Queen
XX:25 North Mine, basket
XX:30 Tendril, Race, Moa
XX:35 Serene, Froggy, South Mine, Queen
XX:40 SANDSTORM – Mine blockade, Defeat the dust mites, Skritt Burglar, Escort Haze
XX:45 Devourer Queen (If T2 was reached)
XX:50 Small Dust Thingy (If T3 was reached), Escort Haze
XX:55 Big Dust Thingy (If T4 was reached)
Replace XX with whatever hour it is – note some events take a few seconds to spawn.
North mine is the rescue zephyrites event, which usually needs about 10-15 people
South mine is the golem
Race usually needs 10-15 people
Skritt Burglar is like the other skritt burglars in the world, in that she spawns in a chest and you chase her from there.
Race, North Mine, Tendril and Basket all have a chance at bonus favor, though I’m willing to say you don’t need any bonus to reach tier 4, as the map I’m on has been hitting T4 part way through the XX:30 spawns.
Past T4, all pre-sandstorm events give 5 geodes. All sandstorm events give 10 geodes, which means a single sandstorm is worth up to 80 geodes. North Mine blockade and the dust thingy swarm both die pretty fast though, so it’s very likely you don’t get both. North Mine is easy to tag and leave; dust thingy drops a LOT of sand, especially if you zerg scale the event.
NOTE: If you do not kill the big dust thingy before the sandstorm dies down, you get reduced geode rewards.
Happy farming!
(I would like to thank Bald the Warrior, Fenrir Cinderspire, and Bregnok Damodred and whoever the other commander was, as well as all us little underlings that went 4 hours of T4)
Contains only light armor.

This may not be the best LS release so far, but for a start of a new season- its great. Remember when S1 started and we were wandering the land fixing signs and escorting refugee… comparing to that, S2 is going to be epic.
Also after many months of zerg wars content it is nice to see a map like that designed for smaller groups of players. Only thing i miss is some kind of repeatable dungeon path. Like in tower of nightmares part.
No. I need my karma for legendaries/ascended crafting.
-Grunt
They ahve learned very little from LS1. They honestly expect the majority of people to gridn 1200 geodes??? DREAMING ANET!
I’ll probably not spend a lot of time there, and I could well understand more people won’t. While I like the content, I can’t say I’m entirely happy with it. There’s not very much of it, and none of it is challenging enough to have much of a replay value.
The reward system is also disappointing. I’ve played quite hard for the past 2 days, and I can still only afford a single chef recipe. That’s with all the achievements that give extra geodes (geode caches) done. That’s 60 I won’t be getting ever again, so future days of playing as hard as I played now are going to give me even fewer geodes. It’s going to take me weeks to get all 10 recipes (unless I get lucky and get them from a buried chest, if that’s even possible).
The problem is, there’s not enough there to keep me interested enough to collect 1,200 geodes. Here’s hoping future LS instalments will offer more ways to earn them.
Eh I’m more interested how can I get so many Geodes to buy em.
As dirty as it feels to suggest this… I think the tier 4 merchant needs to offer something like crafting material bags, tomes of knowledge or scrolls of knowledge (for geodes of course, so players would have to contribute) – something the bulk of players would want access to. This zone has so much potential and I really love every aspect of it, but I can see it being pretty empty after we move on a bit.
Give us a reason to strive for tier 4!
agreed
People demand harder content, harder content arrives, content is too hard please make it easier.
Make up your mind.
I gotta agree I’m one of the people who liked stuff like stepping stones and not so secret but, the Zephyrite stuff is annoying and the skills seem kinda laggy. I hope the next area doesn’t have them.
All armor skins in the gemstore should be removed and should be available only by killing a hard mode boss who wears that outfit imo. Either that our do a bunch of hardcore content that unlocks a merchant who sells them for in-game gold, quest related items, or participation.
Master of all Professions
sPvP Rank Dragon – 8 Champ Titles – Ruby Division
For the rewards
Seriously, pretty soon this game will have more weapons/armor originating from the gem store than from the actual game.
Oh well, the woes of a F2P game I suppose.
Are people OK with this? I’d actually almost prefer at this rate to not have new stuff added if it’s only gem store based.
What happened to doing a cool quest line or killing a difficult boss to get a weapon skin in games?
