Guild Wars 2 does not rely on the tank/healer/dps trinity. Direct damage dps meta in pve/dungeons is what it is for efficiency’s sake, and “support” builds are dps geared/traited with support skills.

I can confirm that you can still use it in the mystic forge even after changing is appearance but to be safe i changed its appearance back to its original. i am not sure if that made it possible or not but it still worked.
Yeah, buying Dyes with laurels would be stupid. But the Laurel vendor isn’t worthless.

Thorin and Company [TAC] are having huge issues trying to get all out members into the same map for guild missions, thanks to megaservers. I know that this issue only really affects large guilds, as getting 20 members into a map is easy compared to our 150. There needs to be a better way to get people into the same map than using party taxi for 20 minutes. An instance for guild missions might be a way for doing it.
I am sure this has been brought up on the forums hundreds of times, but I only read the WvW forum so don’t complain.
We had to come up with some creative ways of getting people to leave the map (See map chat)
Gandara – Piken – FSP – SFR – FSP
Exactly. What we need is more supply of t2-t4, not less supply of t5. It’s exactly the thinking OP proposes that led to the current prices of silk – we don’t need a repeat of that.
But if thick leather demand don’t go up. The flippers can’t flip thick leather.
Think of the flippers!
With the addition of Ascended Crafting the demand for silk scraps went up considerably, yet the demand for Leather didn’t go up at all. There’s almost 8 million Thick Leather Sections sitting on the TP going for minimum price and not a single buy order. The amount of Thick Leather Section sinks needs to go up. Maybe require more for ascended equipment, maybe new armor skins requiring a generous leather sink, just something to make Thick Leather Sections useful instead of just wasted inventory space.
I kinda suspect that a certain “special guest” is going to crash the party, tbh.
Priorities, what to do?

Thats a reasonable amount of gold to start playing the tp. Within a week or 2 you can get to 500g by focusing on tp.
For now, ask an ele to conjure volcanus
For someone who never played the tp before, 1 or 2 weeks to make 500g out of 100g is pretty optimistic. Usually, after the first week, you are happy, if you still have your initial 100g…

From my experience, you get more dark matter from the BLSK than the mystic salvage kits. I was using mystic and when I switched to BLSKs there was a noticeable increase in frequency of getting dark matter.
I love people using me.
Sorry Mystic, but your Globs of Dark Matter were too few and far between to keep using you. I’ve moved on to a better salvage kit. :P
You still have my heart when it comes to ectos though, so don’t be too sad.

Of course, i’ll keep you updated, but it seems, that you have to wait for the answer… I have to levelup my AS to 500 (it’s just 300 now) and i need some more Dragonite Ingots… but i promise, when i got everything, i’ll tell you the result

In exchange for making life very inconvenient for all normal players, all a gold seller has to do is buy the buyer’s 400g trading post listing. Gold is exchanged, seller is mildly bothered, everybody else has to deal with this headache for all time.

There’s already far too much account bound garbage going on as it stands.
As someone who very much enjoys in game casual looking clothing, which this game has a serious lack of, I would really, reaaalllyyy love to see this in the gem store. I stumbled across it while looking up the witches outfit and apparently it’s already in the data files or something?
Anyway, pleeeaaaseeee!! Many gems would pay do want, TAKE MY MONEY.

I think its apparent no one likes the mega server. The biggest issue my guild has come across is when we do our missions, rushes, puzzles, and challenge. I’m curious as to how to get past the whole half hour process on taxiing your guild to the same map for each guild event? Anyone have any other ways to get past the mega server dividing the Guild. This game is called Guild Wars, and there inst much guild going on you know lol.
The answer is in your name. Yolo salvaging all or nothing.
I guess this is just ranting but honestly I’m feeling pretty fed up with this game lately, especially now that megaservers were just proudly announced to be on all PvE maps like Anet thinks we should all be excited about this, apparently oblivious to all the negative feedback. Not to mention I’m from Blackgate so there’s no reason to play WvW this basically leaves me with only PvP left in this game. Let me elaborate on this with some suggestions.
First and foremost why are you proudly announcing full Megaserver release when you guys said you would roll it out paying close attention to feedback? If you were paying close attention this roll out would have been a lot slower.
1) Why are cities megaservered? They would have been great places for WvW guilds to advertise without wasting battleground spots and honestly what could POSSIBLY be gained from merged cities? It ruins the experience for guild recruiters and RPers. And who gains something from this? Very few people I’d wager.
2)WvW either do it 1v1 every week or get rid of the swiss-style tournament. Maybe this sounds like bruised ego but what’s going on in WvW at the current time with Jade Quarry and Tarnished Coast is simply making this game aggravating and completely lacking of fun. It will kill WvW outside those two (we’ve already seen major WvW decreases in Blackgate even when we weren’t playing both) and that seems like a lose lose for you guys. The old season 1 system would have prevented this by constantly rotating teams but instead we have this broken system where a clearly dominant server (we stomped all competitors the first 2 weeks and then won again when they weren’t together so yeh it is true) is literally helpless. How could that be fun? We can’t win period. So why bother and why keep playing the game?
3) So every world boss dies in under a minute with the massive zerg fests going on and if I miss that Karka Queen by four seconds (as I did) I’m now out of luck for the next nine hours. Did that really sound like a good idea? And how did I miss the boss by four seconds? Because the loading screen took a solid minute or more to load in since now every server is packed full. Which also leads into…
4) Every map is laggy. I ran Tequatl with these specs on Blackgate primetime with no lag and at full settings. I now experience lag spikes in every single map particularly if I try to do any serious event. So why bother with PvE if it’s going to be frame by frame or look as good as a napkin doodle?
So some suggestions for me are:
1) 1v1 WvW every week, this way it is a fair and accurate representation of every server’s capabilities.
2) Megaservers should be optional. Maybe we can’t find anyone to do an event with us so we can go to the megaserver and experience the rest of the content. Otherwise we can stay in the main server and be able to play lag-free and enjoy immersive elements like the dynamic Orr maps where we can actually feel like our actions have some real effect.
3) Remove waypoint costs. You just shut down half or more (Seriously I have Plains of Ashford a bloody lvl 1 – 15 zone 80%+ complete on my charr and there is but a SINGLE waypoint I can use from outside the map) of all waypoints locked to people outside their maps so we have to waste time waypointing twice. If you MUST stick with this system then remove the cost.
4) Bring back Raid on the Capricorn! Okay this one is a bit of a joke but cmon my PvP guild and I loved our pirate ship battles.
Utility Goggles – Reveal stealthed players + Prevents them from going back into
stealth for 3 secs.
*this would be added to the ability engineers already have
Give engineers something to counter stealth (Stealth disruptor traps don’t count.)
To anyone who flat out disagrees with this or its basic concept without giving good reason is more then likely someone who has invested a lot of time into their thief/mesmer. They don’t want their unfair advantage taken away and are just trying to prevent balance in WvW/PvP.
Thx,
Diabetus
They have devices which can re-enact ancient rituals and giant laser beams that shoot ancient dragons, but omg detecting stealthed enemies is completely baffling.
Scholar is still the best bet if you play frequently with an organized group. Strength is beneficial for someone who is often PuGing and has broad shoulders upon which to carry a team.
Past that, it doesn’t matter for the rest of PvE.
That was an exploit?
There are players out there that consider any form of obtaining wealth (with the notable exception of those they themselves use) as exploits.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
I bought some of the last set of dyes – bought 2 sets of 5, and got one of the premium dyes. Not a mistake I’ll repeat.
I would LOVE to be able to buy the dyes from the gemstore. You know, instead of buying a lottery ticket.
Some of those enameled ones look really nice, but gambling at the gemstore’s odds are just too tilted.
I’ve ran this yesterday in fractals 49
- 25 stacks of might for the whole party even on tougher bosses like Mossman or Archdiviner (although as a result of paying attention to might stacking more than animations, I did get downed a few times). This was without signet of rage, as I took warbanner instead (was a pug).
- I did feel the loss in personal DPS pretty heavily, although stuff went down fairly fast, so I guess it is not a bad choice of a build for fractals at all
EDIT: Oh, and almost forgot. My ele would most definitely still outperform this build in any regular dungeon by far, but I would really recommend running this for high level fractals. Ele can just swap to staff for superior DPS instead of bothering with might upkeep with all the different fields in various fractals (smoke/light/chaos ect.).

CONS
Megaservers are Crap – The megaserver system has effectively smashed community cohesion. If you insist on going forward with this, at least leave the cities alone so people can RP and give shout-outs to their fellow servermates when they need help in WvW (as of now, any number of spies can be listening in). There are other reasons why these will cause problems too, but I’m not going to go into detail here, since it’s a topic worthy of its own thread, and many have been made already.
Nerfing the Queensdale and Frostgorge champ trains – Yet another way to smash community cohesion. Queensdale in particular was a very social area where people could relax and chat, and now there isn’t much of a reason to stick around since the loot is not worth it anymore. Even if you don’t care about the loot, the social aspect will now be more fragmented due to megaservers.
Removal of Town Clothes – Way to screw the RP community again, guys. Making town clothes into un-dyeable tonics and removing people’s ability to mix and match their outfits is a great way to kitten off a large portion of your playerbase. RPers probably made you a lot of money in gem sales, and now all those people are going to be asking for refunds. Everyone loses.
Restrictive Dailies – When you diversified the dailies, people breathed a sigh of relief. People don’t like being forced to do things they don’t want to. For example, PVP players don’t play PVE because they don’t like it. Forcing them to do so to get their daily is not going to make them happy. Dailies had been improved in previous builds and now they’re back to where they were originally. Why would you deliberately make your game worse when you had already taken steps to improve it? Makes no sense to me.
PVP Gear Erasure – A year and a half worth of work just so all those skins could go up in smoke. This won’t anger everybody, but it will anger anybody who A) plays pvp a lot, and B ) changes their outfit a lot. PVP players have every right to be kittened about this. Removing glory was a good move, but taking away all of our rewards? Not so much. And no, the wardrobe does not compensate for this.
Removal of the personality system because of… Reasons? – Seriously, just think up a new word for “ferocity” already. There’s no need to completely remove this from our UI.
PVP Build System is restrictive – Sure, it’s convenient, but not being able to mix and match runes is going to be a pain, especially when the changes to some of the runes were not great. This isn’t going to result in “build diversification”, in fact it will ensure that less-useful runes will be ignored completely.
New Traits are Gold Sinks – Yes, you can hunt all over the map for them, but for those who don’t have the patience (and resent the fact that they have to buy something that they traditionally have had access to for free) will have to spend gold they never had to before. It’s an obvious gold sink.
New World Boss schedule equals FPS death – The ridiculously dense crowds of people showing up at these events will ensure that people with low-end PC’s will not have a good time. Even people with high-end PC’s (like me) get a headache-inducing 15 FPS or lower. But even for people who do have the money to play GW2 on a military-grade supercomputer, all they have to do is show up on time, spam #1, and get their reward. Somehow it cheapens the experience. There was a certain satisfaction you could gain from beating one of these events with a small crew, and now you’re pretty much guaranteed never to have to bother.
SUMMARY
All in all, this feature patch is dressed up to look like we’re getting a lot of good stuff, but we didn’t. It simply changed things, and not always in a good way. The pros and cons sort of balance themselves out. Certain things were fixed, others were made worse.
This update gave us tweaks, not features. Actual features would be things like skills, zones, classes, races, dungeons, guild halls, more PVP maps, etc. We have gotten some features over the past year, but they’ve come in a small trickle: A handful of healing skills, a handful of traits, one new WvW map, one new PVP map, one PVE zone. What else? Nothing noteworthy.
It feels like the Living Story took us for a ride this past year and left us with nothing. By now the game should be filled out in ways that anybody (new players included) can enjoy. But that’s not what we have, and that’s certainly not what this feature update has given us.
All I can hope for is that Living Story Season 2 learns from the mistakes of Season 1 and we finally get the game we all thought we were paying for.

Hey all i would like to talk about The Minstrel. Why the other legendaries have so much effects?I know they’r precursors are expensive but hey! lets think logical if they make visual upgrade for The Minstrel the price of precursor will go up in
no time and their price will be same as others.I saw The Minstrel visual upgrade and i appreciate that they did something with it but …the notes,#, and other signs flying from The Minstrel arent looking that good as they could. Please share your opinion, maybe some day they will read this post.

Aaaaaand It’s gone.
Back to square one.
I’ve finished this fight without taking any damage no less than 3 times, still no credit.
Please, for the love of god, fix this.
My prediction about stacking sigils being exploitable was correct. Only downside is you can no longer double stack.

~ Takes months to fix phantasmal berserker
~ Fails to fix phantasmal warden on two separate occasions
~ Makes no attempt to fix a number of buggy traits
~ Introduces skill-based grandmaster which is strong but not overpowered – immediately fixes because a mesmer used it against Grouch
And the final result:
Mesmers got boned even harder in the patch and are basically below necro tier in terms of dungeon viability.
Game over, yo.
