Is Warrior just a pet without a Ranger?
Never Forget My friends…never forget
Xsorus – Ranger PvP movies Creator of the BM Bunker
Taking the previous times the rangers was mentioned in GW2 official videos, the ranger update part will take about 2 minutes of the video, including the presentations, small jokes and the laughs, and the info will be so vague that it would be just like nothing was told.
I just hope for no nerfs
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nope, NPCs don’t fight back and players will hide in keeps whether they are t1 or t3. Don’t waste your spare time performing menial and pointless tasks in game, fight people and if they are going to cower inside their keeps “bugging” dolyaks on their odd venture into the fresh air they really aren’t worth the effort you’ll put in to get at them.

This forum is not a place for appealing a ban, but since you went into so much detail on why you think you got banned, I’ll go into the same level of detail on why you actually got banned.
Your account was terminated due to use of a 3rd Party Botting program. In regards to your reference to Cursed Shore, that is where you were reported (thanks players that reported you) and investigated. After watching your character, our GM team was able to determine that you were running a bot.
To extend further on that investigation, I looked into the logs and it looks like you were leaving your bot on for a couple of hours then playing the game later.
I also find it very interesting that a user by the name of kitten Cracked also has a post on a known botting forum where that user goes into depth about botting in Cursed Shore and is attempting to help others do the same.
Closing this thread. Please open a ticket with Customer Service if you wish to appeal.

First of all, dueling means virtually nothing when it comes to class knowledge. Anyone can run a Condigen (00662) build and win every 1v1, however that build will never succeed in high tier tPvP, so please quit asking Jcbroe to duel you. It’s extremely childish and only shows that you either think that you’re skilled enough to run a dueling meta build (requires skill? Not much.), or you just think everyone here is stupid enough to think that you won’t just run the Condigen build or its variants.
Spirits aren’t meta. They haven’t been since March, and any tPvP build with spirits is often centered around Sun Spirit for the condition ranger’s personal use rather than team support. Most top rangers now are beginning to run power roaming builds and condition home point bunkers over spirits due to the nerfs that the Balance patch brought. I’d even go as far to say that they aren’t viable in tPvP anymore compared to other options. Is it still the easiest, least skillful spec to play? Absolutely. Does it provide the same team support and survivability that it used to? Not even close. Many top rangers, when running spirits, are only running a single spirit for their own benefit more than their teams. I’ve seen two variants: a condition roamer running Sun Spirit for the burning proc to increase their own DPS without the need to run Torch, and a power variant of the same build running Frost Spirit (and likely Spotter) to increase their own DPS. Spirits, in short, have fallen out of the meta.
I will try to take this seriously.
First, lets fix your numbers. Thief, no gear dancing dagger tooltip damage is 163. Lets not count the possible bounce damage. Also, cripple is 3s. (this kinda helps your argument)
Ranger Crippling Talon. Tool tip damage is 242. Bleed is 8s(3 stacks) 1020 damage total. Range is 900. (you have it traited on your ranger)
Lets go over a few (perfect world) NUMBERS ONLY scenarios to help you understand the difference in skills and the reasoning behind them. With a base ini regen of 1/sec, the effective CD of Dancing Dagger is 3 seconds. You can use it 5 times in the 1 time the ranger uses Crippling Talon. 815 damage total.
Now 815 damage is less than the rangers 1322 in a 15 second time frame right? Well, here is where it gets tricky. Lets assume nothing misses/dodged/random flat terrain obstructed/out of range point blank….
The thief can use the skill 5 times in about 4secs (im being generous). That is 204 DPS.
The ranger can use his skill once every 15 seconds. 88 DPS. Quite the difference. Thief doesn’t look too bad now does it?
But you say, a thief would never spam Dancing Dagger 5 times in a row. Remember, numbers is all I am talking. But we can what if all day. You can’t cleanse direct damage like you can condi damage. What if someone cleanses the bleed right after it is applied. What if the first attack by both classes is dodged? Ranger does 0 damage, thief does 652. What if the dagger bounced to 3 targets? What if, what if, what if.
From a pure damage standpoint, which is why you made this thread, Dancing Dagger is better than Crippling Talon.
Now, with all that said, Initiative vs Cooldown skills is a whole different beast we don’t really need to go into. I can’t say “1 point of Ini is equal to 3 seconds of a weapon skill CD on another class”. It is too hard to compare them together to get a real, hard evidence application because as the situation/spec/gear changes, so does the value of Initiative. It is a tricky slope anet created with making thief the way they are.

Skritt Happens
No officials from TA have made a single statement denouncing their members actions. As such by staying silent and taking no actions (evident by how long the same people have continued this), they are allowing these individuals to represent their guild for better or worse.
Also yes, there are numerous posts in the gvg scene stating euro superiority and how NA has always been 3-6 months behind, which up to this point hasn’t been disproven. Now the flood gates are open after 2 years+ of overwhelming smug. I seriously think all of maguuma had a simultaneous “accident” spiking keyboard sales after the victory.
Why would TA care that much about the things Intigo said? It’s a kittening game, you really think he would get kicked? The game is just filled with recycled guilds for ppl that are still having fun on it (I’m still wondering how).
On the RG/VoTF first GvG, I don’t think there is any point comparing who was playing, who was from the core group etc. VoTF was still playing with their squishy berserker setup and it’s the only reason they didn’t pull a single round, I don’t think any guild would have won with that.
The second GvG was more interesting for both sides I guess and it’s the only thing that matter in this game.
Stop blaming others for flaming and no one will ever know who was really the best because no guild from the beginning is still playing. It went to a point that everyone is doing the same thing. While I agree that you shouldn’t get 1 pushed even with lag, when everyone has the same meta, almost same builds and gear, small things matter such as ping. Humility from all side would be better than this kitten, but dramas and forum wars are still more interesting than the game itself.
Blame Anet that prefers its awesome Living Story..
They might Gutter
… they might
I still would like a Devs answer to the question though
let em explain it instead of shipping us of with a standard copy/paste message
You must learn to embrace the Zen that is GW2, grasshoppa’.
The lack of an answer to your question…is the answer to your question.
Considering that I can count the number of exotics that I’ve gotten in two years of play on my fingers, I do believe that some accounts are simply “unlucky.” I’m always surprised when people complain about their bad drops. I find myself wishing my drops were at least as bad as theirs. One of the growing reasons that I am getting quite weary of this game.
You can never have too much chocolate.
I dont get it?
No, he’s asking if he’s the only one.
I think Jet Li was or is the One.
Because we all know the result of these CDI threads are nothing. This isn’t even a troll, why would we care about another CDI when were still asking for things from the first couple ?
CDI’s are only meant to be a smoke screen to settle the community down by suggesting that the Dev’s actually listen to us, the reality is, they don’t listen and don’t care. They will continue to implement things we don’t need or want while ignoring the things we do need and want.
Because ANet has worn us down… WvW players expect little and many have no hope of any substantial changes coming.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
What will getting angry accomplish?
ANet has proven for almost 2 years straight now, that they will do what they want, when they want with this game, for all playstyle modes, regardless of customer experience and customer feedback/suggestions/testing.
It is their game, and they do get to do what they want.
Accept, tolerate or vote with your feet/wallet are the choices left to customers in response.
I would post more, but again, there’s no point.
All the angry people are banned
Most WvW players know that the CDIs are pointless PR stunts anyway and as such don’t really care either way.
That and many people just quit already they don’t care anymore.
Cause anger has been replace by apathy, people just do not care any more.
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
Most of the wvw playerbase has accepted their role in the grand scheme of things. It is our duty to toil on in terrible conditions week after week so that pvers can have more HP friday morning. If they gave us any sort of reward like tomes from badges we might get silly ideas about new maps.

sPvP forums asks about pairing change and AreaNet programmer shows up and talks for 2 weeks about how there is no change.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Appropriate-Pairing/first
9 week long WvW tourney changes matching in WvW in a way that’s different from normal matching as well as season 1 matching. ArenaNet has nothing to talk about.
And this is typical.
Notice how that particular thread contains posts with actual content besides just crucifying the dev? Maybe that has something to do with it. Also, there are a lot of complete sentences and rational suggestions. I know, it’s weird.
Also, that particular guy is not a community representative, he’s a programmer. He’s basically posting on the forums in his spare time; he’s not required to at all.
Notice how there are particular threads here with actual content besides just crucifying the devs? Maybe that is something you should think about it. Also, there are lots of complete sentences and rational suggestions. No, it’s not weird. It’s quite common and every day.
I know that he’s a programmer. I’m trying to communicate that I expect that level of engagement with the WvW community as well as other parts of the forums. I used that specific example to illustrate a larger trend at work. Not all of its specifics are relevant to the discussion.
You mean the release that will most likely mean a massive influx of money that can be used to improve the game? Yeah, it is quite comforting.
So young, so naïve.
Keep up the white-knighting
You mean giving us an update so that people can whine every single week about it not being released yet?
Or giving us an update that might change, and thus people will whine about being lied to and so on?Why do you think they don’t tell us things anymore?
this.
the WvW community is exceedingly toxic towards any devs that post here.
when Devon first took over from Habib he was actually very involved and posted quite a bit, however every single thing he ever said got massively kittened on so it’s not hard to understand why he stopped posting altogether.
Whatever credit you may want to give Devon for initially posting (and it was NOT “quite a bit”), the fact is that he didn’t really address anything and that’s why players soon turned on him. And when Chris initiated the various CDI’s to mend the fences between devs and players, the great majority of WvW players embraced the first one positively … but Devon quite obviously blew it off entirely and showed less interest in the CDIs than any other dev by far.
So tell me, how’s the server balance been lately? How’s that new commander system working for you? Oh wait …
ANet created and sustains this toxic environment … not the players. Every single new ANet face that has shown up here since launch has been greeted with relief and encouragement from the players. It’s not the players’ fault that none of them ever followed through.

ANet needs to get around balancing existing pets before adding new ones.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Another one bites the dust. Wake up, Carver.
~ There is no balance team. ~
so people actually believe they spent over 1 year designing this map so that players could PvD ? tsk tsk tsk that’s rationalizing at it’s worse hehe
anyways I think the whole point of this post is that People need to let everyone play the game the way they want to, and don’t try to impose your thoughts onto other people.
and let’s all thank the Developers who put in the 1000’s of hours of work to make this beautiful map. it is a masterpiece after all.
THANK YOU EotM Devs
The players killed EotM, not the devs… The map have a lot of potential, but it was all wasted by the greed of players. Anyone that belive otherwise is making him/herself a fool.

Knocking out bridges can be done with the Scorp’s Wanze. Nothing wrong with that at all. What I’m talking about is full scale defense sieging with sup’s, as if it’s a home bl Garri. Last week I came across a keep with door treb’s, cata’s, and 8+ sup AC’s controlled by some with full AC mastery. That’s way too much pressure for up level stats to handle.
Now, I’m not going to say I’ve never been a part of or led a defense/bag farming session in EotM. The big difference is knowing your limits as a player. You do this by thinking about the experience other players are having across of the entire layer. When you do you’ll realize sure you can defend a little for some laugh’s. Afterwards, you then go with the flow again. Otherwise, if you don’t, you are surely seeking to grieve the majority of players on the layer. In that scenario, you earned any level of negativity reflected back to you. Also any level of bad karma in the real world too.
i lol’d
there are just as many tears rolling down my cheek after golfing an uplevel off a cliff. it’s like the concept that eotm was meant to be something you queue up for when the real fight had a line is totally lost on the eotm crowd. going into a wvw map and complaining about being killed by anything is nothing short of laughable.(unless it’s a hambow. then you are justified to complain)
and this is why there are ‘griefers’ some of them, like myself, are vastly experienced in wvw and are a little bored of it, yet do not(rightfully so) find the pve engaging in the slightest. so i go out of my way to zerg chase, and much hilarity ensues. whether i live in a crowd of 30 enemies for 5 minutes or knock two of them into the pit of tartarus, obviously i’m doing it right.
