Thats a good idea, and I would also love that you could choose “automatically show” on that tab, and whenever you go, the minipet would auto showed.
Can we have an option to auto cast AoE Effects at your current target?

Ha, glad to see others think like me.
And I know Dual Dagger elementalist has no ground targeting, but that’s not the point really. xD
I know i bought quite a few costumes in gw1 and i know for a fact i wouldn’t have bought them if i could only wear them in town. It’s neat that they exist, but with all the ugly low level gear sets I’m sure they would see sales rise if players could wear ‘costumes’ in the world during combat.
Rename them from town clothes to fashion also add a rotation the player could set up so they can buy multiple sets that automatically change after x amount of time. Just my 2 cents
Hi GW2 management.
I just wanted to chime in saying that to have appearance armor only show up as “town clothes” and not have it active when you are out adventuring really stinks. I have skipped buying a lot of “appearance” items that I would have normally bought if it made me “look a certain way” while having the benefits of my normal armor stats.
Not a good concept, you’d make more money if you allowed your players to display “appearance” armor while adventuring.
God …. i love this costume it is sooo freaking amazing!
L.A. -> “Cub” near the action house screaming: “It’s Howler…Holla..IT’S CANDY DAY!”
Proof that ANet is watching My Little Pony…….
“How do you know when a charr likes you?
He asks for seconds.”
The crossing is one of the most amazing necro staffs in game, I’m sorry you can’t experience it. Also, I think the spider bow looks silly XD.

The fact that I have to manually move and click AoE effects is a bit of a gamebreaker for me. I actively do not use Staffs or Longbows because of this. Elementalists also are a no-go for me.
I know I could use fastcast, but then it means I can’t choose to click on the skill anymore.
I know I could press the button, but I am mainly a clicky kind of player.
These skills also mess up camera control in my experience.
Why not let us have the option of enabling it to autocast ground spells at our current target? Even add it so you can right click a skill to force it to ground target so we can choose.
Options are the spice of life. Let us Choose!
Introduction:
Imagine we have an Axe, that can freely hot swap (while out of combat) its:
Skin into either AC, COF or HOTW, etc
Stat into Rampager, Berserker, Soldier, etc
Sigil into Sigil of Accuracy, Sigil of Leeching, etc
Imagine again, if we can do it for every piece of equipment we own.
Now, it would be very awesome, yes?
Say hello to the SMART GEAR system!
Origin:
Inspired by my original “Smart Armor System” in the original Guild Wars
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/smart-armor-system-v3-0-t10071643.html
Idea:
Able to switch the “Skins (Trinket Icons)”, “Prefix (Insignia)” and “Suffix (Armor Runes, Weapon Sigils)” of equipment after “absorbing” them.
Armor: Skins, Prefix (Insignia), Suffix (Armor Runes)
Weapons: Skins, Prefix (Insignia), Suffix (Weapon Sigils)
Trinkets: Icons, Prefix (1st Ascended Stats), Suffix (2nd Ascended Stats), Infusion
Execution:
Can only change the Skins & Stats while not in combat.
Example:
[Insignia][V] [Skin][V] of [Rune][V]
Click on the [V] to bring down a list of unlocked items.
Acquisition
Complete long chain of personal SMART GEAR quest.
Use Transmutation Crystal to unlock an item.
Example
Berserker’s Svanir Chestguard of Dwayna
Use 5 Transmutation Crystal to unlock:
Rampager’s Insignia
Cleric’s Insignia
Soldier’s Insignia
Superior Rune of Melandru
Superior Rune of Dolyak
[Insignia][V] [Skin][V] of [Rune][V]
Insignia have 4 choices: Berserker, Rampager, Cleric, Soldier
Skin have 1 choice: Svanir
Rune have 3 choices: Dwayna, Melandru, Dolyak
Each armor piece has 3 “variables” mainly “Skin”, “Insignia (Stats)” and “Runes”.
These 3 “variables” can be freely changed after unlocking them.
Pros:
Guild Wars 2 the first to have such an unique equipment system.
Promotes “gotta get them all” game play.
Makes things very convenient for players.
Most people will be more likely to pay real dollars for convenience.
Frees up lots and lots of inventory space.
No need for equipment wardrobes anymore.
Optional.
Cons:
None.

Charr have problems. First is the armor in-game was made for Humans, and then _s t r e t c h e d _ to fit the Charr. This causes distortion from the waist down, and the shoulders rarely sit where they should on the Charr.
Heavy armor suffers less, as there is little detail to below the waist. But Medium armor is horrible as many outfits have longcoats. Light armor suffers too, with details becoming a warped mess.
Take the leather Noble set as an example. The shoulders float above the shoulders on the Charr. I thought this was how the armor was for all races until I put on a Human. On the Human, the shoulders sit on the shoulders. There is zero floating.
Take Pagga’s Coat as another example. It has knives and daggers in the belts around the jacket. On a Charr, the knives are bent into 90 degree angles at the waist. It looks horrible. What good are bent weapons? The armor should have been designed for the Charr to display differently with the belts further up on the chest area to avoid being self stabbed in the gut. On Humans, of coarse it looks fine. It was made for that upright model type (Sylvari, Human, Norn, Asura).
There is another leather coat, that has pockets on the waist/thigh area. On Humans, it looks normal. On Charr, the pockets are stretch into a 2 foot long mess. It really is quite bad.
The Dredge Dungeon medium set is also bad, with the metal plates becoming larger, losing the detailed look it has on other races. On Charr, it looks like stretched polygons. Also, the head item cuts off the horns. The Charr suddenly loses it’s defining features.
The new Aviator Hat in the Gem Store also cuts off the Charr Horns. It completely disregarded the Charr head it its creation. If the horns were allowed to show now, the horns would clip with the ear piece on the helmet. It could have been made so much better. So much more quality and effort could have been put in.
The tail is never taken into consideration except on a rare handful of sets. The tail simply clips out the back of most sets.
There should be a team that patches the armor to fit and look better, like it was actually designed with the Charr in mind (*not stretched and tacked on in a copy-paste job). The armor is actually customized to look slightly different on Charr, so it fits their body model. Where was the designer to raise his hand and say “we can’t do this low quality work to our players playing Charr. We need to customize it to fit and look correctly to our high ArenaNet standard.” ? I wanted that guy to happen so bad….
The last bit is the Charr Model itself (which will not be changed, but feedback is feedback). From GW1, the Charr casters would stand upright. In GW2, the only time Charr stand upright is when saluting, or the idle emote when they toss their weapon in the air (somewhat upright). Otherwise, they are 100% hunched over.
I know I would have liked the Charr to idle upright when standing around. And discussions on the matter have various wishes to how upright people wished the Charr were. Some little bit more, some all the way, some like it as is. Armor would have looked better had the Charr not needed to have their lower armor stretched so extreme to go out behind their bodies. It would be nice to have the Charr idle around by standing between their current stance and to fully upright and back.
Argument, presented; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f488uJAQgmw&feature=channel&list=UL
Premise; Currently you can make your characters with Æ in your name and that is great. It’s nice to have an option to name your character Æragorn instead of Aragorn. Gives more room.
But could you also allow us to make use of the letters Ø and Å? They are very dear letters to me. In fact it’s some of the best letters ever made, and they should be in GW2.
Will there ever be a fallen mode in story where you are not the hero of justice? Why wasn’t there an option to ally with the elder dragon?
I feel this game requires more diversity in its champions. Not everyone likes to save the day…
p.s.
I liked the part in the story where you kill the person from the order you are assisting, I felt the best death scene in the game should / must be Tybalt's (Charr) farewell; it was unbelievably cool while the Siren (Salvari) was pathetic - dying for friends? she had a good personality but a bad ending.
i think we will be able to visit cantha again in gw2.
but probably just the ruins.
the actual civilization there probably long gone. destroyed by dragons perhaps.
i had this issue with my lvl 13 necro,
i asked in mapchat if my alt could do it instead and someone said i could,
i couldnt…the book is sent to the character that completes it, not to your account as a whole, and then it binds on acquire.
so i hung around the crypt until a crowd of helpful people came along …
Just trying to get the Act 1 of halloween even using my lvl 13 charr warrior. Its kitten difficult. Every enemy out there just one hits me.
Is there a way to switch my mission to a my higher lvl character? Or Am I doomed to death?
I recently created my first GW2 character, a Sylvari. I spent some time with the initial character customization, making sure he looked the way I wanted him to, and I was pretty glad with the end result. Until I logged in, and realized he had a pony tail. I fully understand it was a mistake on my part to not notice something so obvious, but I really think having In-game customization NPC’s is a must. I’m fairly certain that every once in a while, we’d like to change a certain feature in our characters appearance, be it big or small. So, why not implement NPC’s which can alter your character’s appearance?
I think there was a similar feature in the first GW game, but it was a cash shop feature. If this’ll happen with GW2, why not just make it a free, easily accessible feature? We shouldn’t need to pay actual money just to change character appearance, imo. What does everyone else think?
Regarding the unique armor drops (khilbron, rurik, devona etc)

Greetings,
Developers & fellow players, today i would like to make a suggestion regarding the unique lootable exotic set armors.
i would like to suggest the use of various unikittenfect(s) on use with these armors; meaning that, for instance the Khilbron set; a player uses the full set and is a necromancer in this case activates the elite lich form skill, under the effects of the completed armor he/she could uniquely assume the form of the Vizer khilbron which would be purely be a “unique skin” without any game breaking mechanisms involved.
likewise for the rurik set, whenever a player executes the skill 100 blades (Prince Rurik’s signature skill) the attack would standout amongst other players aesthetically in the fore-mentioned manner
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers,
BAZ
I think it would be something cool, like the ascalon weapon sets that change during the night and day, or maybe just have the ascalon armor set give off a ghostly glow during the night. As far as i can think of it shouldn’t be something very difficult to put in to the game, but let me know what you guys think!
As long as it is just an option I agree.
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)
i would love that feature too…. i hate mousing to skills then to the terrain.
I want another option for Ground targetted skills in the option menu:
Fast-Cast Ground Targeting 2 — Skills that target the ground activate immediately, centered at the currently selected target.
Please add this. The option to have it target at the mouse cursor is good, but this would be way more useful to me.
I support this as an option, in fact during the beta I thought the smart casting was this option. I learned very quickly.
Ahhh… this thread is nice. I have had so much fun already, can’t wait to see what else they have in store!
Im loving the event, Thank you Anet, I finally have a title I can use
[OHai] – Northern Shiverpeaks
Well done and good work guys. The job you did on this holiday is, so far, nothing short of phenomenal and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
signed: grateful satisfied player.
+1, really love the event thus far, keep it up!
“The best defense is a strong offense.”
This is not a whining thread. This is not even a thread to whine about whiners. Please take anything whiny elsewhere
Now on to the real stuff…
Thank you ANet for the entertainment. We’re just in Act 1, and I’ve had more fun than any other game this year. I look forward to the remaining three Acts, and Christmas, and New Year, and the next year events.
Much love.
I have tons of boosters and tonics that I won’t even use so for me this is actually a good one.
