You seem a bit bitter, if you could rather tell us what problem you have when you fight with a warrior, your class/build, then maybe we could provide some guidance and tactics so that you emerge victorious in your duels… As a matter of fact, there’s a lot of misinformation in your post, a warrior can hit hard for sure, but has lots of serious weaknesses you can exploit.

But I don’t think you’ll receive any constructive post after so much QQ, whether you’re serious or simply trolling, so you’ve basically just wasted an opportunity to get acquainted with a class community, and ultimately become better at the game.

I can win against warriors, everyone just seems keep saying condi burst them, bait your condis, condi condi condi just how this game is Condition Wars 2 aka CW2.
anyway enough trolling. I don’t mean to say warriors are overpowered n all. I simply hate that as an engineer (berserker) I cannot do anything without CC/soft CC.
There is no chance to immobilize a warrior of that kind. Not because of adrenaline stance only, it seems like it is a meta or something. If they are immobilized, movement skills cleanses them. If I try to CC, of course with my rifle #4 that also knocks me back, they get stability proc and I get knocked back.
I simply want Anet to deal with those kinds of traits (stability,endure pain,etc etc).

The reason behind those traits is that without them warrior has no sustain at all. It’s all about window of opportunity with a warrior. Warrior used to be even more dependant on window of opportunity, for example in the old days to land a hundred blades you basically popped an elite, 3 utilities and 100 blades to go in for the kill. If that missed, and it did, you were kind of kittened. That is why the traits are so popular, and necessary. Nowadays warr is much more solid ofcourse and you don’t have to depend on it as much but it’s still the same class and way of playing even if it’s not as hardcore.

The question is how many people does “we” constitute?

We achieved this with 2 eles, a guard and 2 revenants.

If you’re looking for a nerf then what you have to do is have a mesmer apply 6 stacks of burning solo.

It’ll get nerfed within the hour.

Ik you’re talking about the torment stack, but this sarcasm is not even funny .
Infinite Stun-lock, instant 18k AOE burst, phatasm doing 10k+ damage, permanent stealth, CS abuse, blind goes through dodge with no ICD, none of these got addressed.

Stop talking as if Mesmer is some kind of bullied child, like the current Ranger, when you’re the Top 2 strongest classes (along with Ele) right now. It makes me kinda sick.

He’s probably one of the best engies out there, I’m talking about Five Gauge from The Abjured.
Well, I see him do the follow:
Perma swiftness
Stealth
Pull the target
Push the target
Heavy condition damage
Good ranged damage
Insane healing
Perma regen
Perma vigor
Insane kite mechanic
Engi shield has lower cooldown on block than guardian and warrior, unbelievable.
He trasnform people into MOA, really Anet??
He gets WARRIOR’S rampage on a much LOWER cooldown, the damage? Is almost the same.
It’s tanky as hell
He goes twice in less than 20 secs into the mini-form being invunerable to everything…
He cleanses condies very often.

So, Engineers can do EVERYTHING and they do everything very very well.
In good hands like Chaith, it shows how broken engies are.

Remove the moa, rampage, shield and invulnerable from this class and it may balance things out.
Also engies has zero cooldown on kits, give Eles no cooldown on attunements too.

I love everything about my warrior except one thing at the moment. Damage is awesome. All the weapon sets are viable in one way or another, whether it’s condi or power.

The one thing that I cannot get over, is the lack to swiftness. I play a GS/Axe+Mace, and the only real option I have for swiftness is Signet of Rage which is 25s on a 48s CD

I don’t know why but it makes the class feel soooo slow.

It could be that I was just spoiled by my thief, ele, and guardian, but man, some more options to swiftness just to get around would be nice.

It also feels like GS3 and GS5 is even worthless to use for movement. It may be because of the quickness nerf on them, but even without it, they seem worse than what they used to be.

the servers seem to have some lag issue’s After this patch. I have noticed this before as well but it seems a lot worse now with skill lag and just basic unresponsiveness with controls, when i hit skills, move around and so on.

My internet speed is 150mb down and 13up which is ok so i am pretty sure it is not my internet. I Also have a good pc I7 4790K 16gig ram. The only reason i bring that up is i know you all will probably say it may be you’re internet or cpu, which i do not believe to be the case.

So i guess i am just wondering if you all know of these server issues and are looking into it, and if not then i am just bringing it to your attention to see if there is any thing that can be done to help fix or at least be done to not have it happen so much.

And for players that read this please post as well and let them know so they can see it isn’t just 1 or 2 people having this issue but it is game wide with many. or if it is just me then maybe some one has an idea on how i could fix it thanks.

One more thing i main warrior and that is the class it seems to be the worse on with the skill lag so if any could let me know if it is like that for them as well thank you.

I main elementalist and right now I feel a bit overpowered but it’s to early to tell.

Here is my take for every class I played against since 10 this morning.

Warriors: With everything dealing more damage, Shouthorn can no longer survive a 2v1 for 5 minutes. That said, they can still build very tanky and can easily wreck in team fights. Plus, I no longer sigh when I see a Warrior with a warhorn offhand. I think they’re great, my friend says otherwise so we’ll see.

Necromancers: Power necro got buffed significantly, in contrast, they are infinitely squishier. Making for a lethal glass cannon, now if it becomes a problem has yet to be seen as they are now even more yummy food for thieves. Are they a problem? I don’t think so. Speaking of which-

Thieves: Hell. Yes. They are so beast, dealing lots of damage, REALLY fast but in contrast, squishy themselves. It’s a VERY welcome change that now I have to be extra careful when alone with a thief. Their team fight ability has yet to be determined but I welcome these new thieves meta dealing huge damage very fast.

Guardians: It’s a mixed bag, condition guardian is legit and bunker guardian is now very strong. Overall, I’m welcoming the return of bunker guardians with condition guardians. Are they the best? Can’t say, I can’t say they are useless however.

Mesmers: These guys feel a bit weak compared to other classes. Everyone says otherwise, maybe it’s my build but I fail to see them destroying everyone.

Elementalists: Maybe because everyone is so used to (and using) zerker amulets is why I feel so broken. Using powerful aura and just wreck team fights, even alone I can deal tons of raw damage. I’m thinking ArenaNet should watch that Fire Magic traitline Fire Auras. Granted, I’m not nearly has tanky as I was before but I got enough experience where I can abuse my escapes quite easily. This feels like the most broken class, but then again, I’m the most experienced with it.

Engineers: HAHAHA Git gud spamgineers. But seriously, these guys feel the most underpowered, it’s hard to tell if it’s the sheer reliance on being naturally tanky or maybe the Engineers I fought were just bad. I probably fought against a twenty or more engineers since patch launch. I doubt running 2-3 kits is ideal anymore, we’ll see if something broken pops up but until then, beware of me.

Rangers: Mixed bag, on one hand, I fought against a ranger that just destroyed me with conditions in seconds. On the other hand, I watched a thief just face roll that same ranger with ease.

Ditch the zerker amulet. Unless your build is designed with range or evasion in mind. The meta has changed, you can no longer survive well with a zerker amulet. And for that, I love it <3

then approx every 21 precion after 926 precision gives 1%
base precision is now 1000 but the base crit rate is still 4%
new base crit rate should be 4% + (1000 – 926) / 21 = 7.52 %

If you are complaining about Swap sigils as an excuse to why baseline Fast Hands shouldn’t happen, then you are simply bad. That is a FAIL ARGUMENT. That’s like the only instant cast Warrior can have and guess what, you can REACT AGAINST it. How? Learn to dodge the already telegraphed skills Warrior has and stay away from swap range while you bait out the Warrior’s defense.

Sadly people like Sebrent have a hard time comprehending SIMPLE MECHANICS and still probably thinks Warrior is over-powered when the Warrior meta (shoutbow) right now is just a pub-stomping class that can’t really make plays and depends too much on team mates.

Also, on-swap sigils only really benefit condi builds anyways (Zero CC other than Fear Me, which gets condi cleansed by target and his team mates easy, no point in picking over Necro). If you’re having problems with fire/air + rage/paralyzation on Warrior or something along those lines, then you literally have problems mechanically and you need to play BETTER. THAT SIMPLE.

I think you missed the point.

I didn’t say anything about Mesmers being good/bad in large fights.

I did say that with 0 illusions and no Illusionary Persona, a Mesmer does not have a class mechanic … shatters do nothing in that scenario.

-If a warrior dont have adrenaline and no FH then warrior also dont have a class mechanic …burst skills dont do nothing in that scenario.

Regardless of whether or not a Warrior has Fast Hands, their burst skills don’t “do nothing”.
-Without adrenaline they dont do nothing

I only brought this up to explain a possible bit of reasoning that ArenaNet may have had … hence the wording I used in my previous post.

Now to the rest of my previous post … I wasn’t saying that this lone reason was why they shouldn’t be made baseline … in fact, if you read the whole post, I said that Fast Hands should either be made baseline or removed from the game and the Warrior balanced around whichever one is done.

Is there something wrong with that opinion?
Is there something you disagree with there?

Just to clear some false statement in this post.
IP on warrior is like the use of burst skills without adrenaline.

A character slot should not cost ANYTHING extra when you are getting an expansion with a new class. Not REAL money nor the time it takes to get FAKE money. It shouldn’t come out of our pockets.

New players are only going to have 5 empty slots at launch.
I currently have 9, all four extra slots being gold purchased, most of them maxed and ascended. Time and effort.
Cry if you want about character slots, you’ve had since January to sort out your priorities, expansion-price-fiasco or not

That’s five slots to experiment with when deciding which professions you want to play. The worst thing about character slot sales is that they are pure rent income for Anet since it costs them nothing to provide them (unlike say outfits that at least require effort to develop).
They are monopolists exploiting their in game “market power”. And it’s really poor showing that they use such a device to try to get an additional 10 bucks from players.

So much left that I wanted to see…

Of course there is always the chance I’m understanding it wrong.

Perhaps when it says it activates leap finishers twice, it activates everything about them including damage. So eviscerate would be really good.

No. It activates the finisher effect twice. On a class with the least amount of combo fields.

This trait is interesting, but it’s also so terrible it’s just mind-boggling. It should’ve been “Your leap finishes also count as blast finishers” and even then it would still be useless because now it has to compete with Vigorous Shouts.

I don’t see how Mending can be a physical skill, since it doesn’t do any damage so Peak Performance only really gives it the CD reduction.

Anet just needs to reduce the cd to 15 seconds and maybe up the heal to ~6,000 so it can compete with To The Limit and Healing Signet.

If this is true…then about half of the potential new builds have all but gone up in smoke. That CD reduction when traited would have theoretically allowed you to not run Defense because with Mending, Brawler’s Recovery, and a skill like Zerker Stance you can at least stave off conditions long enough to kill your foe before the condis totally wreck you. CI being a GM almost means chances are the other 2 GM traits will never be used. Maybe if Mending was decent that would change.

However, with no changes that means we’re basically forced into Defense. It’s a crying shame, not many will be willing to give up Fast Hands (unless we run Powerful Synergy because that will hopefully somewhat make up for it on Sword/LB).

Mending as it is will probably never see use, especially now that “To The Limit” is becoming a thing. Even with it being a Physical skill it might not be that strong, but it at least gives us SOME options.

Can you please explain why the trait ‘Fast Hand’(reduce weapon swap to 5sec) is not baseline?
I think I speak for everyone on this forum or even all warrior players by saying that we would really appreciate a developers response on this matter.

How is the most defining skill for the warrior profession is not baseline? thus forcing every viable build to take the Discipline trait line and limiting the class build diversity.
How come it is less ‘baseline’ then Mesmer’s ‘Illusionary Persona’ (“Using any shatter skill now creates the shatter effect on you as well”) which was only necessary for shatter builds while they also have clone builds and phantasm builds?

Such disappointment, i was looking for new mechanics in order to change the flow of the game play.

But instead, they removed skillful mechanics.
keeping warrior even simpler and boring to play, why is that. what’s happening.
timing your condition convert with micro condi management with shout to get good boon was a pretty big part between a good warrior and a bad warrior.

now everybody just spam w/e condition cleanse you have and call it a day.

and more passives! that double leap finisher doesnt change your gameplay at all, just passive duration buff

I have come to share my closing thoughts on the biggest glaring issue with PvP! The biggest problem with this game is.. you guessed it, TEEF.

Thief is the most overpowered class in the game. It has the highest map mobility, the highest map control in general, the highest burst setup combined with the 3rd best burst, virtual invincibility with instant 1200 range teleports combined with long stealth durations and high evasiveness via weapon skills, without even traiting for acro.

Now, obviously most top players don’t see Thief as overpowered in 1v1. While in an actual duel a thief will never lose, in a conquest setting it is often not ideal for a thief to engage in 1v1s. Why is this? It’s because with the amount of map control the class has, it’s better to literally run around the map insta killing people in +1s and decapping points than it is to actually contest anything, because thief can force a camp as well, because otherwise the second an enemy leaves a point it’ll get decapped. No other class can influence the map even close to this extent.

Not only that, but then there’s the element of stealth. You might think you have the map under control, but the second you leave a point, there will literally be a thief that pops out of stealth and decaps it before you can react. This is an awful mechanic because there is no counterplay to stealth AT ALL in this game.

Finally, my personal biggest problem. Thief hardcounters necro, mes, and ranger in a conquest environment as well as a 1v1 environment. Having been a necro main when I quit the game, this was one of the worst parts for me. The chances of a good thief losing to a necro in any situation is minimal… same for mes and ranger. This would be ok if you could get away but noooooooo thief will ALWAYS catch you. There is no escape from the most OP class.

Suggested nerfs to Thief:

Reduce all shadowstep ranges by 1/3. i.e. SS max range 800.

Reduce all stealth durations on ALL classes by 1/3. i.e. BP would give 2s stealth instead of 3s.

Change the maximum stealth duration to 5s, down from 13s or whatever it is now.

Reduce thief blind durations to 1s, right now kittenty thieves just spam DP 3 and win instead of actually using it to predict something and dodge it.

Give pistol 4 a 1s cast time and raise initiative cost to 6. In return give it a 2s daze.

Remove panic strike from the game, replace it with some useless trait so people go back to CS Thief.

Gut vampirism runes.

These changes would keep Thief strong as a burst class and wouldn’t effect its 1v1 too much, but it would give the class more counterplay.

I’ll make more threads on what I think the PvP in this game needs. ArenaNet will obviously do none of it, but I don’t really have much to do over the summer XD
