They don’t need to officially report to the player base when they clearly said they were going to roll it out to ALL servers eventually – there was no timeframe listed, eventually just happened to mean a few days. Their metrics supported the faster rollout and it seems to be doing just fine.
Congratulations Anet on a sweet rollout
It has been really smooth from my experience.
I got back into WvW this tournament after barely doing GW2 for two months, in that time I’ve gotten 2 ascended rings (knight and celestial) and 2 armor boxes (cleric and rampager). This was within roughly 30 ranks.
I also got a precursor drop, The Lover, off the tower champ at Anz. So yeah… wvw’s been pretty good to me. Helped me get my emperor title
Don’t be too upset, this is the only place where rng seems to work in my benefit, everything else has been painful. Needless to say, I’m going to be in wvw a lot more.
it’s better then being bugged with overflows……..
Most of the people I know quit when this patch went live. I have been trying out PvP but I don’t like the toxic PvP “community” this game has either. I will be leaving very soon if mega servers are not removed.
I seems to recall those people quitting after more or less every single update.
But I might confuse you with someone else.
You aren’t my dear friend, you aren’t. He apparently forgets how his friends already left a dozen of updates ago but well, I suppose he is a good guy for remembering their memory.
Regarding the thread: once upon a time there was a game called WoW that everyone hated on whatever Blizzard did. Today GW2 is taking its place. The reason other MMOs haven’t and can’t do it, is becasue most already have too low of a population to complain about. With time you will understand that opening threads about the game dying with every single update-release mean nothing but being in the same boat as the people who hated on WoW for 10 whole years, gl with your journey I guess and make sure to check your post history to not end up like your other fellow player, telling us how your friends are leaving now when you already stated everyone have left with the update 6 months ago.
Mega-server have its flawas, yes…but I, mysteriously, happened to always play with friends on the same map, I always enjoyed the active zone chat with people talking and joking and have quite mysteriously, once again gotten many friends from new servers, I guess it is a miracle since GW2 only have whats negative…how can such a good thing happen?
Well, if this wasn’t a forum, specifically created for people to complain and therefore 90% of the people who check are ones who want to complain, you would have seen different thread titles.
Good luck fellow players and remember, people will complain about everything, will leave the game for whatever reason and willl come up with ’’killing’’ statements when they feel like. GW2 isn’t perfect, NO… but it is the best on the western market, wether our fellow cuties want it or not.

Something is always ‘killing the game.’
Then
It was non-account bound dyes
It was cosmetic items in the gem store
It was lack of mounts in the game
It was empty mid-level maps
etc…
Now
It’s account bound dyes
It’s the ‘money grabbing’ wardrobe
It’s the megaservers and overpopulated maps
etc…
They just can’t win
I fail to see how this is a bad thing

I was in a very populated server, but with a very friendly community. I’ve already noticed additional vitriol, and plan on reminding people, especially in cities, that verbal abuse is a reason to report someone.
Crafting is designed for gear accessibility, not profit.
I believe the Devs are human, like all of us, and can appreciate positive feedback just as much as constructive critical feedback. There is nothing wrong with posting you are in favor of a particular implementation of content or features. When I prepare meals for the family, I receive both kinds of feedback (though not always constructive..lol..kids), and from that feedback I know what to continue to serve, and what isn’t appreciated. If I got no feedback whatsoever, I would be unsure if something was enjoyed, even if it was consumed.
Besides, we all appreciate positive reinforcement, just as we can learn from feedback that is not so positive. Just my personal opinion, of course.
I’ve never known anyone to say “I could run in there.. but if I die I need to repair..nevermind.”
I don’t think the repair costs were ever a huge concern of anyones? were they?
That’s how it works. If the Maw events start outside of it’s prescribed timer event, it will fail upon destruction of the totem.
When the Maw spawns at it’s time, it won’t fail at the totem.
tldr: Maw only works on schedule.
I think almost everybody would agree that in general, the people who are enjoying the game are in-game, enjoying it.
Many of the comments here (and in any game forum) are gripes or complaints that something isn’t right for the poster.
I think we can also all agree that there is a big difference between “Please fix (X) because it’s causing (Y) to happen, which I think is not working as intended” and “I want you to add (Z) to the game or I’m gonna /ragequit!”
Complaining isn’t necessarily bad in and of itself. General complaints about specific issues along with their corresponding solutions isn’t the same as demanding that a feature be removed or added like a spoiled child.
Unfortunately, there are those who frequent the forums who not only seem to be incapable of putting a coherent sentence together but they have to put forth their concerns in a way that makes them sound like all they’re doing is whining because they can’t have their way. Many of them don’t even play the game any more.
We can’t stop these type of posts, but we can ignore them. Responding only fans the flames into a full blown wildfire.
It’s current match and next match. Should’ve transferred on a Thursday.

One thing I do not not understand though is the amount of those here that complain about the changes that you have done to the game. Your world changes to some extent a lot and to others the impact is very minor but enough to feel that change anytime I go to the maps that are now changed.
I think the core issue is that allot of people try to persuade devs to implement/emulate systems from their favorite games.
Here’s an anecdote: Today I talked with a friend who left GW2 for Wildstar and who is a hardcore PvEr.
We talked about pros and cons of GW2 and Wildstar, and pretty much everything he listed about Wildstar as a feature sounded to me like something I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole (for example gear grinding through dungeon tiers for better equipment).
After a while I wanted to ask him why did he spend so much time struggling with GW2 since allot of the “features” in GW2 go against his favorite play style.
This is the same kind of attitude you can see on these forums in almost every section… Why is there no holy trinity, lack of tiered gear grinding, lack of instanced raids etc. People come from other games with their own definition of “fun” and “proper way of doing things” and they’d like to mold GW2 into it, not caring (or not being able to comprehend) that different people have different mindsets. Then they get frustrated when their suggestions are not being given attention leading to one more popular complaint: “devs never listen to us”, which was proven incorrect on so many occasions.
All that being said, there is always room for improvement, and GW2 is far from a perfect game, but before asking for a change one should ask himself if that change would fit the “spirit” of the game, and if the answer is positive give his suggestion in a concise and thought out manner. I’ve seen countless suggestions implemented from these kinds of discussions.

I got my refund (550 gems) for two of my old one piece items and I go on today and I stillhave them in my guardian’s inventory.
Is this supposed to happen? were they supposed to take the stuff off my account I asked for a refund for?
Am I allowed to sell the two tonics to the TP and get more gold? Or is that taking advantage and exploiting?
I don’t want to be banned suspended for exploiting…
Anyone else know or had the same issue?
Reread the mails carefully (unless you deleted them) and they should specify if they expect you to DESTROY the objects in question (doubt they will “take them” from your account, tho they MAY have altered them so you can’t sell or use them). If you deleted the email, I would respond to the refund ticket an ask before selling the items.
