1) As OP, leveling is one of the great pleasure. I got 8 lv80 and 2 extra slots. Especially the down scaling makes up a very good exp no matter solo roaming or playing with friends. I no longer need to left a toon lv behind so i can enjoy playing with low lv real live friends.
2) Removal of trinity, this is a few MMO that not rely on some specific role to play harder contents, i know berserker is the pve meta but i don’t feel forced to use berserker gear here and there. I can build every character to what i want to play.
I think I belong to the pool of people who prefers the trinity system. Having specified roles in say a dungeon gives a lot more purpose to each player playing a specific class rather than the usual mentality of “ZERG IT DOWN” or “NO ZERKER GTFO” that we see in gw2. That being said, things that I find awesome about GW2:
1)Loot system – Loots for everybody ! Nuff said
2)Group play- one of my favourite things. especially running small groups in WvW
3)Active Devs/CM’s in the forums – I think the devs are more actively involved in the forums than any other MMOs
4)Community – I’ve played tons of MMO’s. GW2’s community has to be the best out of all of them. Sure they ’ll be a few bad apples but overall the best
5)Content – They may not get much gratitude for it but they always deliver new content throughout the year even on a F2P game. So theres always something to look forward to.

sPvP – the whole concept of trying builds, and everyone entering on a level playing field is pretty awesome. Actually, the various ways to play in general is also great. Activities, WvW, PvE, and sPvP are unique and allow me to enjoy GW2 no matter what mood I am in.
Three words: free to play.
That’s about it. Ive tried several other ftp mmos, but you are lvl capped, or have to pay to unlock content. Other than the first initial purchase, you can access all content without ever paying a dime. That and the art work. Simply breath taking.

Partial merger of rank 26 and rank 27 EU servers onto a rank 15 EU server during free transfers already resulted in multi-hour primetime queues. Anyone who proposes something like this has no idea about the population numbers.

Maybe stop doing champ runs in the starter zone? A 5-slot bag is a step up from the 4-slot bags newbies start off with. Seems appropriate for the zone, at least to me.
Plus, they are quite colorful!
Why on earth are you running Queensdale champ train?
You might die faster than GW2.
This topic is stupid and must appear from time to time.
You can’t know if the game dies based on the numbers you see on YOUR SERVER.
2 mmos,Wildstar and Eso?
Both subscription based, players will get bored and come back to the non subscription based game, ofc some will not come back but ESO is nothing more than GW2 2.0.Everyone will love the game because is a new thing but like GW2 after a while gets boring….not the new thing anymore (1500 hours + still not boring for me)
In 2 days my cousin will join the game and he will bring another friend in the game, another reason for me to play even more…we lose players…and we get players..the life of an mmo.
“We are now! We are forever!”
We’ve been discussing this a lot recently and we agree that something needs to change. When we have a change that we are ready to talk about we’ll make sure to make it known to everyone.

Commanding from the back line is almost impossible as THE solitary pin on the map.
However, command coordination is possible (when the map is willing to tolerate multiple pins on the map and the pins are open to facilitation).
Hawthorn used to command as a D/D ele and (when he was not raving) enjoyed modest success. But it is also important to understand that his success was predicated on the fact that he was often the only commander willing to pin up during those times. Cloud and Chia would constantly troll pin if/when they were online.
Any class/spec combination CAN command. Command is simply a GW2 construct (function) of leadership (a topic of which, tens of thousands of texts have explored).
If you display tenacity, courage, and nurture those that follow you with the necessary emotional food they need (appreciation, confidence, and trust), your ability to command can/will become legendary.
Every commander is going to lead a wipe and/or make mistakes. How you handle those events is a mark of your leadership!
That said, I would never encourage anyone to try to lead that is glassy. Bunker up and reduce the “appearance” that you are weak.
Remember, your function is not to do the most DPS… your job requires you to survive to promote cohesion. Your job is to convince people to accomplish things they may not believe they can accomplish. They will fight for you and they will die for you… if they believe. But no one is going to believe… if you don’t believe.
- There is a time for serious and there is a time for levity — never confuse the two.
- There is a time for proven and there is a time experimentation — never confuse the two.
And the mean, 800-pound gorilla?
Build up your leadership capital. Draw on it ONLY when you really need it.
Think about all that Living Story content that you got to enjoy as an early adopter that newer players don’t.
I wish you’d go back in time and say to Napoleon, you’re zerg is a real issue here. You should face the other army 1 on 1…. /sarcasm
Seriously Anet please delete this thread its turning into trash talk central and if anyone wants to know where some forums are that are designed for this type of trash talk go here. http://www.gw2wvw.net/
As for your “predictions” its too early in the season to accurately predict anything. Let the numbers talk and soon enough we’ll know who will be king once a few more matches have taken place. Other than that just play its a game whoever wins in essence gets nothing but pixels and in game tokens anyways.
Anet don’t delete this thread. This is a thread that gives heart to the seasons. It helps us stay excited about WvW and this season. We can make predictions and keep up with whats happening even when we aren’t in game. Its like Fantasy Sports or filling out your bracket for March Madness.
And there aren’t that many bad posts in here – and just a couple that could be considered deletable. So if you must, just delete those couple and let the rest of us have fun. I even deleted my own posted in fun but might start trouble post.

Hate to say it but this has turned into a trash talk thread not a predicter thread and should be deleted
I agree wholeheartedly, this has become a trash talking thread thread and from what I can see its pretty much the norm for all wvw threads now, most topics become this pathetic mud slinging contest, no one can ever lose or win respectfully or graciously anymore it seems.
I agree as well. People need to stop with the trash talking and respect others. Win or lose. Its a game we all enjoy. A little banter here and there is fine, there’s something to be said about server pride, but trashing each other is pathetic.
My guild and I had a blast last night in FA’s BL. There were good fights all around. We got to see what higher ranked servers bring to the game but most importantly we got to see what we can improve upon.
I want to thank the guild groups on FA’s BL for bringing fun fights and a chance for us to learn and improve. You showed us our flaws and we need to adapt. I don’t care about the bags or the stomps. I care about good fights and learning to be a better player.
Cheers to you my friend! thank you for bringing us good fights as well. If WvW was like this everyday I would probably be playing more often.

What advantage do you see in character-bound skill points?
I think the idea is that people like to retain some progression on a character-by-character basis. Each time something is made account-bound, it chips away at the distinction between characters and at the replay value of the game. Account-bound dyes and account-bound WXP do the same thing, though they’re pretty popular. Perhaps people think account-bound skill points just go to far. To give you an extreme example, how about account-bound level? Or automatically generated copies of your gear for all your characters?
Does that make sense? On the one hand, yes it’s more convenient. But on the other hand, the game gradually disappears.
Hey everyone!
I’m very glad and excited with your overwhelming responses regarding the MegaServer system. We are still working on establishing the best roll-out plan for this feature. I’d like to provide you with an update on our plans. It was announced on the blog post that we planned to start with the PvP Lobby, the level 1 to 15 maps, as well as the cities. As MegaServers evolved into a finished product, we have changed our initial roll-out plan.
We are now planning on releasing the system starting with the PvP lobby and low population maps, and incrementally moving onto the maps with high populations. With this approach, the behavior on level 1 to 15 maps won’t change until we’ve seen the positive confirmation from the community as well as from our metrics that MegaServer is working as expected on lower population maps.
MegaServer is a complex system, so we will be closely monitoring its deployment. We will make adjustments to our plan in accordance with the results of the roll-out. Our Quality Assurance team have performed a great job in doing an extensive testing of the game under this new paradigm, but nothing can stress out a system like a huge amount of players rushing through Tyria to rediscover the world with fellow adventurers. Which is why we’re extremely careful about that.
Please keep voicing your questions and remarks about MegaServers! We’re excited to bring out this new way of fostering our game community, and your comments are greatly helpful in doing so.
See you in Tyria!

Uh, you’re a month late. That happened in early March.

“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
People have their opinions. Sharing those opinions is good. Sharing those opinions in a vehemently negative fashion while deriding anyone that doesn’t share that opinion is not, regardless of what that opinion is.
So true! We do understand it can be a bit jarring to folks used to other forums, when we’re very vocal about keeping our forums respectful to each other and to our staff. There are a good many folks who are critical, but never have their posts removed or get infracted.
We believe that the community likes that we work hard to create a safe and welcoming space. Thousands up thousands of posts are made every single day and although we wish we could review them all, it’s just not physically possible. The more folks report posts, the better the forums are for everyone. When they’re welcoming, both players and staff feel more positive about interacting with each other.
After reading through many different video game forums , such as Diablo 3 and WoW. I have come to the conclusion that this forum community is by far more tolerant and respectful. The number of flaming forums on here are not as toxic and insulting to read.
Diablo 3 forums are like trying to listen to rival gangs talk with each other without being able to shoot. Extremely toxic community with insults and threats being thrown around every 3rd post (sometimes more frequent). Even reading some of the “helping” threads ends up in a giant war over nothing (or a missing calculation or something small).
So here is a big thank you to Anet and the GW2 Forum community for being more tolerant and respectful in the posts. The worst GW2 posts are similar to the best Diablo 3 posts!
