Why do I have to buy a new pc for Liadri?

Demigott.4150

With my usual graphic setting I have 30-40fps more or less depending on the area.
You will not recognize it much, gw2 feels smooth usually.
In the new area I get under 10 fps regardless where I am, when I set every graphic setting to the lowest possible, I get something between 10-20fps.
Red aoe circles pop up late and are hard to see due to the graphic settings not only because of the background.

When gw2 was released they mentioned something about that players with not highend pcs wont get in trouble…I just see more and more content especially vertical new areas, these areas just let the fps drop very fast…maybe a bit more optimization in the future or what are your experiences?
When I am in the arena I dont really have to know what the zerg under me does….

I dont play any other games currently, thats y I dont really like to buy new hardware just for a mmorpg.

Mini-Pet Slot

I almost never see people with minis. There are a couple reasons for this I think.

First: You have to take it out every single time you change map/instance. That get’s really old, really quick.

Second: Deposit all sends it to the bank. Certain bags can do away with this problem, but it requires you to have those specific bags in the first place. I personally greatly prefer general use bags for all purposes.

There is a very easy solution to this that I think would greatly increase the popularity of mini’s and can’t imagine anyone not being in favor of: A mini-pet slot.

It would be in your “H” menu. You just pick a mini-pet that you want and ‘equip’ it. Then it will never be sent to your bank and it will automatically appear every time you enter a new map/zone.

Toons: Foreseer, Geikamir, Rapscallion, Specimen, Scythian, Zeau, Ärtifact, and Replica.

Critial Diff between Challenging & Punishing

So I’ve tracked GW2 back since the earliest days of its announced development (which was some time in March 2007, I think), and one thing that always stuck out to me was the idea that it would be built around the concept of “Fun”. Fun was the drive behind the game – if something wasn’t deemed Fun, then it would be revised or eliminated. Now, I know that something can be Challenging and Fun at the same time, and sometimes, there even needs to be Frustration for the Fun to happen.

An example of this, in my opinion, was found in the learning curve behind the Southsun Survival minigame. I came into the update late, so when I’d first play, I’d get one-shotted right off the bat. And this happened again and again and again, and it was very Frustrating. But I stuck with it, and several hours later, I was able to consistently place top in my games, even if I wasn’t winning first place. In this case, it was immensely Frustrating, but because I kept with it and pushed past the Frustrating, it became Fun. If it had been easy right at the get-go, I wouldn’t have had as much Fun when I finally got it.

With the Queen’s Gauntlet, I have beaten Liadri (proper gear and condition application are key) and gotten the Meatless Murder achievement – Liadri took over 300 attempts, so I have spent a great deal of time playing the Gauntlet and I would say that I know what I’m talking about (given that I’ve spent over 20-30 hours alone on Liadri). And with Liadri, it really highly emphasized, in my mind, that Queen’s Gauntlet isn’t Challenging, almost at all. Instead, it’s mostly Punishing. So I’d like to quickly outline what I mean by that – by defining what Challenging Is and Is Not.

What Challenging Is:
Challenging Is having something difficult that can be overcome by persistence and a learning attitude.
Challenging Is having a bar set high and having people need to reach that bar.
Challenging Is introducing new concepts and difficulties that people need to adapt to in order to survive and prosper.
Challenging, in the case of Queen’s Gauntlet, Is having 3 tiers of increasingly difficult bosses that each require different strategies to beat. And for that depth of Challenge, I applaud you, ArenaNet.

10. “Everyone, I beat the boss!……everyone…hello?”

Problem
The tier system makes no sense. Some bosses are easier than others and in the end putting them in tiers really doesn’t matter. What is worse is that you don’t really get an achievement for defeating a boss. It seems so anticlimactic to just pop out after a fight and be standing there. No achievement, no fanfare, just a shrug.

Solution
Each boss should have an achievement. That would allow players to see the list and work their way though what to many is most important, beating the boss. The gambits are for those players who want extra hardcore achievements. The satisfaction of at least seeing each boss checked off the list with some points for my trouble would be a lot nicer.

11. Dome Buggy

Problem
It’s buggy. Quite simply this place has more bugs than Internet Explorer 3.1. For a long list of the bugs, see the bugs, or Queen’s Jubilee sections of this forum.

Solution
Fix them. Or, try to not create time limited content in a short production window that hasn’t had time to be properly tested.

12. WikiDulfia

Problem
Difficult content is totally cool. Content that insta-wipes you and doesn’t even give you a chance to figure out the mechanics is worse, put time limited content in the game is horrible. These three factors means that many players must resort to third party sites to figure out how to beat the boss. You may as well put out a magazine called “ArenaNet Power” that gives tips and tricks because for some, they just have no other means of sorting out the mechanics.

I went straight online after the first fight because after blasting through 5 tickets, I realized I don’t have the time to waste getting insta-wiped and starting all over.

Solution
The game should be self contained. Players should be able to solve the mechanics of the game without having to resort to online tutorials or forum posts to do so. If the mechanics are designed as such that they’re too unforgiving, or too vague, you need to rethink what is happening.

Notice I didn’t say anything about the difficulty? I am not here to slam how difficult or challenging it is. Other than the limited time available to learn and beat the fight (remember how we complained about the last dungeon, or the Trials ANet?), it is pretty ok.

The problem is when you add in all these other factors, what could potentially be an amazing activity becomes a long, drawn out, expensive, and frustrating experience for many players.

I have more ideas in terms of arena design, and such, but I’ll leave that for now.

6. Round 1, FIGHT!

Problem
The yellow text is not a proper way to start a match to the death. “Any moment now you’ll be teleported into a dome and instantly required to fight!” This instantaneous start to the fight is annoying because you have no time to get oriented, ready your fingers for your first move, and in many cases doesn’t allow time for the enemy to load.

Solution
Adding a simple countdown like we find in Sanctum Sprint would allow players to prepare for the battle. Even if it’s only five seconds or so, it would give the map time to clear out previous bosses/elements, allow the boss to fully load, and give the player time to load and react.

7. Nosebleed Section

Problem
Who paid for these seats? The viewing area is so far from the dome that it borders on useless. What is the point of creating a transparent viewing dome, if we’re so far away that we can’t even really view what is going on, or interact with players inside (by cheering, viewing techniques, etc).

Solution
Create a walkway that goes around the stage. Allow players to view the action close up. Now remember ANet, you need to shut off buffs, AOE, and other things that can influence the fight. My hopes are that someone will play the classic Star Trek fight music on the flute while I battle.

8. Confusing Registration

Problem
The NPC system for setting up matches is confusing and overly complicated. Why are the announcers, ring masters, repair NPCs, Gambit, and match masters all randomly standing around?

When I want to fight a boss, I have no idea who to talk to, how much it will cost, what order I do things in, or how to cancel.

Solution
Put the NPC’s in the appropriate place (announcer on a platform by the ring), and eliminate redundancies. Here is how I would work it.

Fight Master -

A. Ask to fight
B. Confirm fighter
C. Ask for additional gambits
D. Select Gambit(s) or skip
E. Confirm total cost
F. Confirm fight

Now, I am put into a queue, but give me an ETA for my fight time. If there are 4 queued ahead of me, show me a ETA To Fight: 8 Minutes. If a player gets eliminated, adjust the time.

9. I’m not Maverick, I don’t fight by the seat of my pants!

Problem
You are introducing new fight dynamics to players without giving them any way to practice prior to spending time or money. You require players to farm for tickets, spend money on WP, collect buffs, eat food, spend money on traits/skills/etc, spend tickets, and ultimately WP/repair costs, but give them no option to train, or practice for a fight.

This is like paying someone a bunch of money to fight a random boxer, then finding out it is Mike Tyson, two seconds before he sends your head into the back of the seats.

Solution
Create a “training” area where players can try techniques, builds, and buffs before facing the real thing. This could even cost a few silver for 5 minutes in the “gym” which is still cheaper than jumping in head first.

The Gauntlet is.....

in Queen's Jubilee

Posted by: Crazylegsmurphy.6430

Crazylegsmurphy.6430

…dumb!

And here is why!

1. Resource Sharing

Problem
Ever since the Karka attacked Lions Arch, we’ve known that large numbers of players, on populated maps, simply aren’t conducive to smooth gameplay.

Because the Gauntlet occupies the same physical space as the rest of the map, it is quite common for players to experience FPS drops, latency, and culling.

Solution

This is a case where being instanced makes sense. When the point is to fight bosses that require a lot of precise movement, timing, and vision, it needs to be presented in a way that facilitates the best possible performance.

2. Waypoints (or lack thereof)

Problem

Being required to continuously run from the bottom to the top is nothing more than a waste of time. When you die, lose your buff, or are starting out for the first time, you must always waste time getting up and down.

Moreover, there are often enemies occupying the bridges making an already annoying task, all the more frustrating.

Solution

Simple, create a WP at the top (or part of an instance as described above).

3. Dumb Dome

Problem
The dome and camera are like two exes running into each other in public. We know the camera doesn’t like tight spaces, this has been known since day one. Putting this in a dome often causes the camera to zoom in at the worst times.

The dome also seems to interfere with some of the graphical elements (orbs) making it even more difficult.

Solution
Replace the dome with a transparent rail that is high enough to not jump over, but doesn’t cause camera issues.

4. Death is bad

Problem
Getting into a fight can already be annoying, but after being repeatedly defeated to then have to lay there in the hopes someone isn’t AFK, too close to a fight to help, or not interested in you adding more waiting time to their cue, can make this a frustrating experience.

Solution
Either transport a defeated player out in a downed state, place them at the WP, or just revive them. There is no reason to place the dead player in an arbitrary location where there may, or may not be other players to help

5. Ain’t no one got time for dat!"

Problem
We have a lot of other things to do in this game and a short time to do it. The last thing most of us want to be doing is standing around waiting for a queue of people to finish a game.

Solution
The game should really be intelligent enough to place players into open arenas. This would keep players moving along faster, and cut down on the few crowded ones with long queues, and empty ones on the other side.

There’s no reason why I should instantly lose 6 tickets because the event is buggy. 5 gambits plus the entrance.

Several times, I’ve been forced to drop out of the bottom of the cage, because the player before me took too long. I get warped into the cage before the floor resets. They lost…..so I don’t even get a chance?

Not to mention the queue bug that forces you to lose the tickets because you aren’t allowed to actually join.

The real problems with Liadri

in Queen's Jubilee

Posted by: Delryn.7235

Delryn.7235

Her 1 hit kill attacks are by far the least of my problems. Both the AoE and the exploding shadows are extremely avoidable and predictable.

However, some of the real issues with this fight are;

1: The camera and visuals.
When a whirlpool appears near the walls you can’t properly see where the red circles are, and you can’t see if there are any visions coming from the left or right, or if any spawned on top of you. All of this not to mention how bad it is for someone without perfect vision to clearly spot the AoE on that floor texture.

2: The vision of mortality gang bang.
Using some pulls available to me I’m able to pull the visions into the whirlpools to quicken the process, unfortunately the problem starts when I run out of pulls. They move so slow that by the time 1 reaches the far off whirpool, there will be some 2 or 3 other visions there on top of the orb, thus making it impossible for you to pick up the orb without dying. Forcing you to run around in hopes that you’ll get an orb without visions nearby, wasting precious time.

3: Liadri’s auto attack.
You’re able to avoid that somewhat well using swiftness or moving from left to right. However due to the chaotic nature of the fight odds are you’ll have to mostly ignore it. The claws she sends out deals on average 2k damage. This ruins the chance for low HP classes. On top of avoiding AoE, leading visions, and doing it all quickly, they have to deal with their HP quickly depleting as their one heal is on cooldown.

4: The Cosmic Rifts.
Adding to the fact of the already bad camera, these orbs that pull you will often spawn outside of your line of sight, making you only find out they’re there when it’s too late. Not to mention the bug (hopefully) that you can’t hit them with ranged skills.

Lastly, and more importantly…

5: The time.
Unless you’re damage focused (zerk) you’re gonna have a very stressful time trying to beat her within the time limit. With the running around to get orbs, escaping her to try to heal up, to actually fighting back to reduce her huge HP pool, you won’t have much time to complete it unless you’re a damage build. Some classes just have it ten times worst because not all classes have decent viable constant damage dealing skills.

Now, all these things by themselves don’t pose much of a threat, but by putting them all together and adding the variety of 1 hit kills in this fight is what really makes it more frustrating than challenging.

Honestly what ties this whole parade of ridiculousness together is the time limit.

On my very first try (after I read up information online on how to fight her) I went pretty far. I managed to get her to 2nd phase, and I was slowly chipping away at her HP while running around trying to survive. Sadly though once she was at about 25% HP the time ran out.

Even though all her mechanisms are very difficult and frustrating, it’s not so unreasonable. What truly makes it unreasonable is the time limit on top of everything else.

I love a good challenge, and I for one am alright accepting the fact that not all content is for everyone. That you really need to master your class, the enemy and everything available to you to overcome the challenge, but this isn’t a challenge.

I could go on describing and giving examples as to what this one fight does wrong that really doesn’t make it a good challenge, instead only makes it a frustrating hassle, but I went on for long enough as it is. Maybe I’ll talk about it later.

I dont like being blunt about things. I like sleeping over things as to not post something I might regret later on. But Im afraid this requires a post and I have to let you know where you have failed and how you could have improved because as it is right now, some people managed to get it and I feel neither admiration nor awe about them and they would complain if you were to change it now.

I have spent over 40 gold in retraits, regearing, buying tickets, repairs, food, 2 classes, ele and guardian since those are my only lvl 80s, over 120 tries.

Before I go on,let me tell you where you failed and how you made a potentially great boss into a total mess.

1 hit KO mechanic: In and by itself it is not a big deal, given proper counterplay and cooldown. P1 phase is beautifully designed. Patterns are easy to follow, kamikazes are slow. Overall well done. Then come the problem. The orbs. people with ranged attacks cant do much about it, they appear as “obstructed” even though there is absolutely nothing in between. These add an element of luck, luck that it will either pull you to safety or (most often than not) your doom. Phase 2 it gets incredibly convoluted, too convoluted, 1 KO mechanics are all over the place, you have little to no room to run to, crippled your dodge dont take you very far, the AoE covers effectively 75% of the map. This offers very little counterplay for classes which cant simply put a couple of clones and run around. If you need to be facing her to deal damage any damage then you have to either choose to run and hit a couple of times or die to kamikazes or AoE. Which brings me to my next point;

Time Limit is usually tied to lazy design: Plain and simple. It diminishes the your options; gear, traits, weapons, playstyle. Surely being a bunker and outlasting her wouldnt be fun, but as it is right now you have to give up damage for some tankines/sustain. When you do that you run out of TIME. A simple fix would be increase the time, whih brings me to my next point;

Why is this not instanced and personal?! Time limit was (hopefully) introduced to prevent people from stalling rooms, but why isnt this instanced like the drinking contest? And if you are going to make it public, at least PLEASE move it to another rom, not everyone runs Nvidia999999 or whatever number it is right now, when you have a zerg below or nearby you the FPS drops are insane. WHich bring sme to the last point;

Camera a nd red circles, FIX IT: The camera is the thing killing me 80%of the time, plain and simple. You cant see more than the back of your head, this makes the already hard to see red circles even harder to see, same for anything approaching you. For the love of God, Allah, Mathematics whatever you workship please make the walls disappear when you are inside (for you only). Also make the circles a little ( A LOT MORE) visible, cant count how many times I cant really tell if Im on the circles or outside of them, that if, I see them.

Overall I think this boss has the potential to be a great fight if something is tuned down a bit, I believe taking away the random fact about orbs and making p2 AoE less often and cover less.

You made GREAT encounters, such as the lady with the book and the quaggan, please bring this kind of design more often, it shows some work, it shows that there was thought put into mechanics and counterplay. The last boss feels convoluted and that just just threw a bunch of stuff together to make it impossible for the average john.

Get this right, 1 hit KO mechanics are not fun when they have less than 3 second CD.

All those in favour of having the difficulty reduced on this boss: (post a comment to show your support and your ideas on how to fix the issues)

From the mountain of bugs:
Obstructed cosmic rifts ( a bug which has been there since launch AC burrows I feel they should just be removed (the rift not the burrows))
Camera in circular dome ( smart idea arenanet the camera sucks as it is your just making it worst)
The targeting system ( it sucked kitten launch and it still sucks hard GW1 had a better system)
Previous bosses not despawning ((doesnt happen all the time) wasting tickets and money on repair)

Attacks
The AOE (overpowered I think the pattern should remain the same as phase 1 or either reduce the damage)

  • The clones* ( same issue reduce damage)

Clearly designed for hardcore gamers. I wouldn’t mind the one-shot downs so much if it was a group event like in a dungeon but not in a 1vs1 fight, it’s just like quick scoping on CoD, just leaves a bad taste in your mouth

Arenanet need to remember not everyone is a hardcore gamer what happens to the casual games that arenanet are excluding with theses events. Not everyone wants to play a berserk practically all the guides online used a berserker build

I know a lot of people are complaining about this on the forums, and I think with good cause there are many issues that need resolving.

This discussion is laughable (not the build suggestion parts). Nobody ever told you all Achievements would be obtainable by any class using any build. Part of the work for obtaining ALL achievements SHOULD require you to go outside your comfort zone alter your normal game play to ACHIEVE the goal set before you.

You have the entire rest of the game to play with any class you like with any off the wall build you desire. If you want to be an “Achievement Completionist”, suck it up and do the work.

Ummm… Actually Anet did promise that as an original game goal… That your spec was about personal preference and that under no situation would you be required to spec any certain way… That’s one of the reasons why weapons have static skills… Not a very feasable goal really, but it was their original intent and promise… It’s just one of the many promises broken…

The key word here is “required” (and I doubt they ever said nor implied NO SITUATION). This content is NOT required to progress in the game itself. Also, my statement was about obtaining ALL Achievements….those didn’t even exist with the game released.

What a bunch of non-sense.

It is clearly understood that certain achievement rewards those who frequent certain part of the game (i.e. WvW ach. rewards those who frequent WvW) and a lot of the Achievements are required. So in the realm of PvE, Achievement points became a progression at the time Anet introduced the Leaderboard.

Without the Leaderboard and the reward system, sure, it’s nothing to worry about, but as soon as they’ve activated these features, it became a tool to gauge progression.

So stop with your non-sense.

-Remove the root from throwing orbs at Liadri
-Make the arena floors solid as to show red circles more clearly
-Be revived at the ringmaster if you lose a fight
-Make using Gambits more profitable. Right now you get 1 extra box per gambit, so the return of tickets to boxes is always 1 to 1.

Pros:
- Its “hard” and “challenging”

Cons:
- Not instanced makes it lag and delay like mad because 10000000 people are zerg farming 2 inches below your feet.

- Really bad design of arena makes camera being stuck up your kitten 99.9% of the time. Game is out for a year and they still don’t realize that there should be no activities in small rooms because of the god awful camera.

- Making players wait up to 4 times longer than they often fight inside is kittening absurd

- Kicked out dead and make players run from waypoint every single time for 2 minutes to queue up for 10 minutes is messed up. Seriously? Isn’t the broken armor and kittening entry ticket enough?

- It often bugs out with spawning 2 or more foes inside instead of one you chose.

- Fights are timed. Nothing that involves skill should be timed, its either do or die, not some artificial “hard” caused by lame timer. It renders most condition builds useless because they are time dependent.

- Gambits are often stuck in arena making it unplayable.

Now to sum it up:
If it was a player only instance without zerg under you farming, without god kitten lag and delay, and kittening camera up my kitten all the time, this “hard” activity wouldn’t be hard at all.
So far it is worst implemented activity i have taken part in, and I hope, for the sake of everyones nerves, it will never be repeated like this again.
I just don’t understand why Anet forces small tight kittened up rooms for something like this when they know camera is kittening terrible. And why suddenly change activities from instanced to the middle of the kittening lag infested area.
This whole activity just makes people mad, not because its hard, but because its poorly implemented.

Dear Anet, pls be kind and remake this into a single man, deserted island, no walls, no zergs farming under me instance where I can actually enjoy in the content without unnecessary lag, delay, bad camera and kittenload of other issues that just render this potentially good activity kittening awful.

There, let it off my chest. Feel free to discuss, like, share, subscribe, leave a comment, add to favorites and keep it civil.

Cheers!

Now the worst class balance from release. Direct damage in the first months immediately cut.
Holy trinity op condition|pet class ruin all pvp:
Necromancer

Condition bunkers have same dps as berserker GC. And godmod defence.

Necromancer
God mode Damage
1) Can impose almost every condition from 1200 distance. AOE. And if you take off your all Condition. You eat Epidemic.
2) Easy 8 sec+ fear chain to death.

God mode Defence
1) Perma weakness
2) Death Shroud
3) Plague

Engineer
God mode Damage
1) Perma burning – just 1 autoattack can eat 6k+ hp.
2) Hgh burning tick 800+
3) Perma poison
4) A lot of confusion
5) A lot of brainless aoe damage

God mode Defence
1) Perma protection.
2) Self resurrection.
3) Perma vigor.

Ranger
God mode Damage
1)pet – 600+ dps
2) 10 stack bleeding
2) perma poison
3) near perma burning
Around 2500+ dps – Often more than can make GC.
Oh and pet have direct damage
Pet hit light golem: 1-2k
Storm spirit hit light golem: 3-5k

God mode Defence:
1) Perma protection.
2) Self resurrection.
3) Perma dodge.
4) Pets take over a large part of damage.

Why AOE Damage bunkers often have more damage than one target direct damage?

Many watched NA / EU tournament. Almost all the teams consisted of a condition bunkers.
85% of the deaths were from the condition
10% of deaths from thieves
5% of the deaths from pets

A problem in 4 things.
1) Too huge damage from burning.
2) A lot of brainless AOE
3) Every single condition skills have too huge damage. For example 5 longbow warrior-10k + damage.
4)Too strong pets.

Greetings, Matthew Medina has asked me to pass on some explanations/clarifications:
Difficulty – From the beginning, we wanted to create an event that would truly test player’s abilities to survive, whether solo or in groups.
we stand by the decision to include content for those players.

And I have no problem with hard, difficult, even near impossible content.

That is, if it is permanent content that I can spend months practicing and learning.

You have made the hardest content available in game fit into a two week window, that I assume will never be achievable again.

There was also an unfortunate bug which was fixed earlier today involving an issue where some of the Aetherblade waves would not spawn. The first bug made the achievements hard to understand, while the second made the achievements easier to attain. I deeply apologize on behalf of our team that these issues led to a less-than-optimal player experience. With these issues fixed, our hope would be that the achievements for the Candidate Trials are clearer and better balanced for their intended difficulty.

Don’t apologize, fix it. If you’re not prepared to take away the rewards and achievements gained by people who benefited from the bug, then let the rest of us have an equal chance.

Think about this long-term. You are encouraging people to rush through new content to take advantage of bugs on the chance that they get fixed and it becomes harder.

How about this ? Remove the last skill “Return”, replace it with “Pause.” And to unequip the flute: Switch Weapon button. I think my idea is perfect.

New Legendary Items, Do Them Right.

in Suggestions

With the upcoming introduction of new legendary weapons and “trinkets”, this is Anet’s chance to get them right. Here is a list of differences I would like to see to make this set much better:

1. Account Bound. Legendary weapons should of never been on the TP. It is too late for the first set, but please correct this for the new weapons.

2. Less buying, more playing. You can buy almost everything you need for a legendary on the TP. You only need badges (currently thrown at us in obsene numbers), karma, SP’s, Map exploration, and a few dungeon tokens. Everything else can just be bought. I suggest vastly increasing the dungeon tokens, add in laurels and other account bound items, and decrease the buyable items.

3. Less sparkle, more awesomeness. Most of the first legendary weapons are pretty silly… the pistol, the SB, and the mace in particular. That’s fine for the people who want that sort of thing, but please diversify. Necros just look silly with their selection of legendary weapons.

4. Fix the engineer legendary problem. This has been well dicussed and acknowledged, but make sure there is a solution before adding in more.

If you have more please post them so the devs know what we want in terms of the next gen legendary weapons.

Surprised nobody’s mentioned the cheapest, simplest method yet.

1. Go to any Master Chef in a city.
2. Buy Rice in Bulk for 49 karma.
3. Eat all 25 Rice Balls inside.
4. Achievement done!

Minigames, Dailies, Exploits, and Harassment

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Sanctum Sprint and people stopping to let others have first place. Is it just good sportsmanship, or is it ruining the fun of those who want to play the race as intended and earn their first place?

Today, for the first time in a long time, I stopped by keg brawl, which happens to be included in the dailies. When trying to play the game as intended, I was told not to try and stop the other team scoring, because everyone was trying to get their assists. I was supposed to “play on my own side” and make the score come out even between the teams.

Clearly there’s a problem here with the way achievements and mini-games intersect. It divides the player base between those who actually want to play the mini-game and hope to get their achievements/dailies along the way, and those who just want to exploit their way to achievement completion.

Kneejerk reaction would be to remove minigames from achievements altogether. Achievement hunters can go off and get their points in other parts of the games, leaving people who actually want to play the minigames to enjoy them. The consequence of this, though, would probably make it so that it’d be hard to find anyone ever doing mini-games, outside of the current living story one. Would people be regularly playing keg brawl if there was no daily tie in?

Is there a solution to this that would keep people playing the mini-games as intended?
