They’re pretty cool. She added a short-leafed style. <3 or wood I guess.
what do?
(edited by Doggie.3184)
Currently more people are coming back to the game than there are leaving
Just saying.
Next to that, ArenaNet isn’t holding silent. If you check out the forum there are actually quite alot of threads which they reply to. However these threads are most of the time about major issues or seriously improvements.
Where ArenaNet does hold silent are threads that involve builds, complains about bugs, your own opinion about balances.
Why doesn’t ArenaNet reply to these threads?
The answer is easy: There is no way they can do that. This is not because people are flooding the forums with their self-made improvements, but because people have very different opinions about it. I am sure Anet DOES read them, and actually do form an opinion about it. But here is what happens if they react:
Option 1
They disaggree with your opinion, and people go hatin’ because people think they ARE right. This causes a negative discussion on the forums.
Option 2
They aggree. Other people go hatin’ like “Not true!” or “Why didn’t you reply to the thread I made?!”. Next to that if Anet aggrees with an opinion people expect it to see happen in the near future, which they definetly can’t do because they have more kitten to do, making people angry again like “You said this could be a good balance but still not patched??!”.
In short:
ArenaNet doesn’t want to promise anything they can’t realise yet. They are realistic.
People, your threads ARE being watched. Don’t cry that you don;t get comments from mods.
Thanks, Fvux.
Alright ArenaNet…I think it has been PLENTY long enough. We need to be able to filter armor types on the trading post.
At first I just thought it was odd that a game would even be released without the option…but I shrugged it off. But now, no offense, I just chalk it up under incompetence. I know that may sound harsh…but for a feature that has been in MMO’s for many years AND was also in beta…I can’t help but think that at least a little bit. I am sure you got a lot on your plate but it has been long enough.
I have brought a few friends into this game and its almost slightly embarrassing when I tell them they can’t filter armor types in the trading post. The awkward silence followed by the “Are you kidding me???” is always a bummer to hear. Not to mention it almost instantly creates a slight sense of “I don’t know about this game…” in their minds.
I’m sorry but I really feel like it has been long enough. ArenaNet can you please just let us filter armor types already?
“How do I search for a backpiece?”
“Oh just type Spineguard”
“…how was I supposed to know that?”
“I….I don’t know…you weren’t I guess…?”
It has been long enough.
I don’t pity Scarlet.
But when Marjory asked me how I felt, I planned on delivering the most sober answer. Unfortunately ANet didn’t seem to think our character had some kind of respect for the dead and gave us 3 cheesy choices.
And what is worse with this ending, is that it’s not an ending. Yeah sure, we killed Scarlet. So what ? Lion’s Arch is completely destroyed, hundreds are dead/missing, we have no information on what her armies will become and most importantly she achieved her goal of waking up a dragon.
In the end, everything we did for a year resulted in us failing to stop her from killing an entire city and waking up yet another dragon.
Yeah, I wasn’t really into a celebratory mood.
SPOILER: Jokes in bad taste.

I get that Scarlet was the villain, but I felt horrible listening to Marjory and the others joke about her death.
Previous LS updates established that she’s been driven crazy by some external force that she encountered in the Eternal Alchemy and could no longer mentally fight it. We should pity her or mourn for those she’s killed, not make childish jokes about what it felt like to deliver the death blow.
Not to be rude here, but I’m genuinely curious – do dialogue ideas get checked before they are added? If so, did no one suggest that joking about killing a mentally unstable character might be in poor taste?
Kindof dangerous to have nothing for 10days

Not dangerous at all. I plan to keep enjoying the game.

As Colin mentioned in this blog post, “Due to the size and scope of the final four story releases in season one, the next round of major features will be bundled together into a large “feature only” release that will come after the first season of the Living World 2014 has finished.”
More information on this feature release will come available after the current living world arc wraps up.
In case you wanted to start including images onto your post attachments, I’ll start updating each day with a shot of the sale items for you as well.

Why you want to affect those who play like they want but not like you want?
Current system was done with purpose.
On humanoid females, the new zodiac armor looks like it was designed for the easy nursing of infants. Take a look at the medium set for example.
Certainly, it has artistic merit and beauty, and the human body is nothing to be ashamed of. On the other hand, it’s hard to claim that this isn’t biased sexualization. Considering that males are neutered to the point of looking comically unnatural below the navel, the presence of fully exposed chest-orbs seems a little unbalanced.
What do you think?
First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to have this armor made.
The armor is exotic and very unique. I fell in love with it right away and have been playing with it for a bit now. My 2 cents on the armor so far;
– The armor needs eyes that can blink. Maybe yellow or white glowing eyes that are similar to the glowing orbs on the Zodiac weapons. The face feels unfinished without them.
– Human and Norn Females, Medium armor, the breast plate is too revealing. I am a dude that plays for the other team, and I play with a few female gamers and we all agreed that it needed one more strip of metal to cover where the “point” of the breast would be. It is still very beautiful armor, just really distracting.
Those are my recommendations, hope you find them helpful
Hey brah, they work hard, and they need money. It’s either cash-shop or monthly fee. Pick one.
Getting the SAME mini on every character is a bit silly imo, really should have just given a random series 1 mini like GW1.
Keep the current instances limited to 5, increase the open world party limit to 8.
No balancing needed whatsoever.
asking why the tree people aren’t elves is like asking why they aren’t orcs. The answer is because they’re busy being tree people.
I had no idea what you were even talking about.. until I realized you horribly misspelled sylvari.
Racial elite skills are, universally, worse than class elite skills.
This is deliberate and will not be changed. A person shouldn’t choose their race on overpowered elites; it should be mostly a cosmetic choice.
And a man who trusts no one is a fool.
We are all fools, if we live long enough.”
I aggree that the necromancer needs some improvement to it attrition capabilities (more specifically sustain) but I think a total reconstruction of the class is too muc.h I think we can achieve more with smaller changes at the right place. So I suggest the following:
-let healing go through death shroud and make it possible to revive in it as well
-buff vampiric and vampiric precision but add an icd of 1/2~3/4 s
-remove/ merge a grandmaster trait in death magic and give something really defensive
-remove/merge the minion related minor traits in death magic and give something defensive
It is because the older picks were originally character bound but now are soul bound. That was the reason behind the 200 gem increase in price. Just that the older tools were grandfathered in and they would refund additional tools if you wanted to.
The 200 gem increase isn’t for the sprocket generating ability.
RIP City of Heroes
For me personally no, I buy stuff when i need it and that suits me fine. There are tonnes of casual players who never buy stuff from the gem store and they most likely wouldnt play if there was a sub fee leaving the game with a lower population imo.
If it was just their names but not the words it would reduce the spam.

Mess with the best, die like the rest.
“So its basically paying for cheating? You are trolling right?
And as soon as mounts buff you in any way, Anet has to rebalance their whole pve content.”I think you’re being overly negative/trolling yourself.
In World of Warcraft flying mounts do not break the game. Chill out, internet warrior.
This game just doesnt need mounts and i am quite happy that Anet will never dedicate any ressources towards implementing them.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
Like lordkrall said, its not about the sprockets. Its the fact that they are putting in vertical progression items like this in the gem store and the fact that they knowingly sold obsolete items. It makes me question whether anything I buy from the gem store will be upgraded at my expense in a month or 2 and how much vertical progression will it be. Will I need to purchase a pick, axe or harvesting tool to be able to harvest items needed to craft a precursor when they implement that? Will possibly need to purchase new skills via gem store to be competitive in PvE or even PvP? There is no ceiling once you start having vertical progression in a cash store. Then it becomes P2W and the new question will be how big of gap will it be.
Am I legendary yet!?
I have to agree here. Usually I defend Anet against the unreasonable fanbase, but I think this new pick is enroaching on P2W territory. It doesn’t matter that the sprockets are cheap, but the fact that it does give you extra items over your standard pick is not good.
Unlimited picks are convenience, which is fine. Unlimited picks which give out extra loot which is not accessable by normal picks is not.

To your TL;DR:
What if you have the “wrong tools” – let’s say my molten pick gives azurite crystals – and 3 months down the line your precursor requires 10.000 sprockets to craft? Should I fill up 40 bank slots with sprockets now, in the event that happens? What if it requires 10.000 pristine snowflakes, and I wasn’t in time to get the “unlimited ice pick”?
There is no end to this, you’ll be coughing up 1k gems with every new currency that is introduced. If you don’t, well, your fault! You’ll simply pay an enormous bill later on. But that’s later right? Let’s not get worried too quickly
Flat out no. Keep the power creep out of the gem tools. Cosmetics and minor conveniences. Bonus harvesting is a horrible idea and I really want to see it removed from the current tool, not added to others.
Just three weeks ago the Molten Alliance Mining Pick was state of the art and there was no news about releasing higher quality gathering picks. I spent 170g (or 56.66g for MAMP) to get my infinite gathering tools thinking they would be a long term investment. Less than a month later my cash shop item has been made obsolete by this new one. In the future, could the logging axes and harvesting sickles give out other items, like Azurite Orbs or Pristine Toxic Spore Samples? Why should my MAMP become less valuable and useful one month after I bought it when I had no prior knowledge to save my gems and wait for these new and improved items?
This situation is unfair and it sets a bad precedent. I’ll hold off on gem store purchases from now on until I know that the final version of an item is going to be released, so I don’t waste my money on obsolete goods.
we’ve all seen what happens in games where there’s no disadvantage to taking your pants off.
Better idea, give ANet a chance to apologize for an obvious PTW item slipping into the gem store so they can remove it and move on.
If not, then I don’t see it ending well, as the original idea was to give players the convenience of not having to buy gathering tools perpetually. Nowhere in the game is there a pick that can harvest sprockets, hence this in not convenient, it is however giving an advantage.
Maybe, but this sets a bad precedent. I have no problem with new tools with different animations being released, but a new unlimited pick, for the same price as the previous ones, that gives EXTRA loot per swing? Why would we ever buy the old picks again? Or buy the tools now knowing that they could be superseded by future releases?
I really want someone from ANet to respond to this and let us know if this behaviour is intended.
I want it also.
Why do I get punished for buying my molten pucks (for each character) months ago?!
This is really slap in the face… Great work… Whoever is responsible for it.
Make people even more frustrated by the gem shop, so we will probably stop using it all together with GW2.
