At least you get skins… The only skin I’ve ever had was the dagger and that was from a 26 run. I don’t even get that many rings from 40+ let alone skins.

It was fun but I wish it was more challenging.

It drops from the final boss fight in the living story dungeon.

Well you said it yourself, they are rewards for Guild Wars 1 players they won’t and shouldn’t add make any HoM items available to people who did not earn them.

Because as has been said lots of times now it would just cause too many problems. From the personal story, racial skills, cultural armour etc. It’s not going to happen.

I just made one simply because I like their animations and the amusing sounds they make.

Because zerkers are so easy to counter… In WvW and SPvP I know when I see a glass cannon it’s a free kill. Besides most people who run zerker gear have no idea how to run it and survive more than 3 seconds.

Plus when you’re trying to farm a dungeon doing the same things again and again gets old fast, so any way to speed things up is great.

All in all find a group that thinks the same way as you, just don’t think you can tell others what to do with a game they paid for.

so if i have the rights to play the game as i want, i can now feel free to do the following stuff, according to all those skipper’s “i can play however i want”-logic?
- exploiting (hey, it’s in the game sometimes and until its fixed, i can (ab)use it, right? i mean i can play however i want…)
- cheating (i’ve paid for the game, so lemme cheat plox)
- griefing (my 50 bucks, my game so i do it because i can)

dungeon skipping would be exploiting flawed dungeon design. i guess it’s just easier for a-net to clean up the mess afterwards, because so many (MANY) players are doing speedruns right now. would complicate things to prohibit speedruns until those dungeon design flaws are fixed.
AC and CM are examples of a better, fixed design. (though, they’re still a bit flawed)
CoE is an example of a good dungeon design. (the reason, why it’s the least played dungeon, i guess…)

the rewards at the end are not supposed to be obtained within 5-7 minutes, you know…slashing those “trashmobs” is part of getting those rewards.
fully completing a GW2 dungeon is also not some sort of 6-hour odyssey like in many k-grinders. well, skipping is a major part in many traditional mmorpg’s, considered and intended by developers. [“/say: everybody to the left wall until next room, k”]

tl;dr
a game have rules. dungeons in GW2 have their rules.
flawed dungeon designs making it possible for players to bypass these rules.
conclusion: skippers are exploiting.

it’s quite a shame, that speedruns and skipping strategies are so openly postet and discussed at these forums…not very promising for the future.

Yeah this is exactly why I always try to enter when possible especially when I’m in another guilds group.

My guild has done it with a 5 man group per target, it’s certainly not impossible. You would have a good point against tier 3 however.

Is the Arah karma vendor currently available in any EU server, seems liked it’s been bugged for weeks on Gandara.

Played regularly since the headstart and the only valuable dyes I’ve ever had are black and midnight fire.

About 365g at the moment, with a lot more in mats. I don’t play the TP I simply just don’t spend most of the time.

It’s like all the dungeons that present something of a challenge, people have always stuck with the easiest options.

Gem store gambling is a great business decision and I hope Anet continues with it to encourage exclusivity with certain items. The fact that you guys keep buying chests when there is a low chance just shows how much it’s working.

Do you still get ectos from salvaging crafted rares? I was wondering because I just salvaged 8 level 80 rares and got none, although I’m not certain if it’s just down to bad luck or not.

I just don’t understand why they didn’t do it the same way as the wintersday skins. At least you had the option to outright buy the weapon skins with gems, as well as several other methods.

They better not only be available through the chests. They handled it correctly during wintersday with the weapons themselves being listed on the gem store. You would think they would learn from their past mistakes.

You shouldn’t be insulting anyone’s intelligence… One event covers the cost of a WP, not to mention the loot gained during it and any gathering nodes along the way. If the WP fees effect you that much then you’re playing the game wrong plain and simple.

Well someone in my guild spent over 60g on abyss dyes for his characters so I don’t someone in that circumstance would agree with a change like that without some sort of compensation.

I don’t even understand why you’re complaining, you can’t ignore the TP in an argument like this, any high level rare will yield roughly 25 silver at the moment. And as has already been stated the WP fees are covered by a single event. Pointless rant is pointless.

This is a great change and how it should have been since the start.

Not every chest has an updated loot table, the Megadestroyer in Mount Maelstrom for example.

That would be fair to us GW1 players who grinded our Hall of Monuments to unlock everything… I don’t know why people feel that they are entitled to something simply because they like it.

More like no classes should get stealth in it’s current form. It simply breaks the game for me and personally I have no patience for it.

I’m about to purchase my first ascended item with laurels and wondered if the small stat increase was from the offensive/defensive infusions were worth it. I realize you don’t get AR with the utility infusion but is that really anything to be concerned about?

People claim it makes no difference but I can tell you that I got far more ectos when I used Black Lion kits on rares. Something like 50% more overall when compared to using a master kit. But at the current price of Black Lion kits and the value of rares it’s not worth using anything other than a master kit.

In my opinion exotics are only worth salvaging if they have a valuable rune/sigil. You would end up losing out most of the time salvaging for just ectos.

There’s too many things that would make it problematic. Most so with the story mode, racial skills and cultural armors. I don’t see it happening to be honest.

You talk as though they were worth spending in the first place… Honestly outside of the gift of battle you can bet most people never spend them.

With price of t6 mats dropping steadily and the increased price of crystalline dust is mystic forging t5 mats a waste of money?

Rares are no longer rare that’s the main problem with the changes they’re made. All they had to do was up the chances of better loot not guarantee at least one rare.

Well generally AoE is most important in WvW so size is irrelevant in that regard. Although personally I look for Asura because I can’t stand the little…

I swear most people haven’t heard of transmuting… You are buying the skin, like any other expensive weapon with identical stats to any other exotic. It has some prestige because not everyone can afford it and that’s how it should stay.

I had top stop playing for about 7 weeks due to circumstances out of my control and since I’ve come back the game feels renewed to me. Sure it’s not addictive but that’s a good thing in my book, I prefer playing something when I feel like it.

I play this game like I played the first GW, I take a while off every now and again which for me anyway extends it’s lifespan.

Most of the daily objectives can be achieved by simply playing the game as usual. Dodge rolling is one of the fastest so I don’t know why you’re complaining about it. Other than the variation certainly beats the old repetitive dailies.
