If ranged combat is buffed then the average skill level will drop even further. The last thing this game needs is giving bearbows an excuse to be useless. The higher the risk (melee) the higher the reward should be. I’m speaking purely from a PvE perspective of course.

Well personally I would rather go with the karma infusion since it’s such a pain to get now. Besides even with over 100% magic find at the moment I have not noticed any real difference in drop quality.

do you keep a tally of which character earned which tokens, gold and badges? Don’t you want to have the proper character earn the proper equipment themselves? Why even bother making a new character and gear them out via the shared-inventory exploit?

Equip reflects or have someone else do it, use stability etc… The invulnerability wears off once you get near them after a little while. There’s nothing that prevents progress at all. Even if you die on a platform and you can’t respawn you can just relog and your body will appear at the bottom.

There are large updates every 2 weeks and some patches for the next few days afterwards usually. This is an MMO so you have to play on an up to date client so no there isn’t a way around it.

Flame and Frost didn’t get any better after that, I have my doubts about this as well.

What game have you been playing? It improved a lot over the course of the story, and then the end-story dungeon to F&F wound up being one of the most popular additions we have had since launch.

Maybe not the dungeon itself but everything else before that was terrible.

If people are skilled enough to solo Arah and kill Lupi themselves then why not make some money on the side? Especially when it’s a service that’s in high demand. People bought dungeon runs in GW1 and nobody had a problem with it so what’s different now.

You’re basically saying that the best PvE players in this game should be punished for being good.

Also if you want a normal group then use the lfg tool, there is no issue finding people no matter what people say.

I didn’t say that, but sentinels is too much defense. I’ve never had any problem in wvw with knights armour and zerker trinkets, be it zerg combat or whatever.

from what ive seen and experienced a year ago and nowdays aswell, anything but Greatsword is bad in PvE , to much AoE mob agro so it makes certain weapons useless.

it was called Cookie cutter build or something like that.. but with so many changes after a year im wondering if its still viable or if theres a different & better build

They could improve the heal scaling by 10x and it would still be useless in PvE. If you can survive content in full berserker gear then it will always be optimal.

Zerg content = auto attack and afk. Why bother with the mechanics when zergs can simply ignore them.

If those are really for PvE then there’s nothing to be constructive about, those builds are just plain bad. You’re barely supporting anyone with that build while sacrificing most of your dps.

The constant crippling is annoying but I don’t see how you’re getting killed from it.

I have two characters with a full set of ascended trinkets solely attained through daily and monthly achievements. I’m starting on my third and the fact is simply being able to switch them between characters until I can get a permanent set would be extremely convenient, and besides being difficult and elitist, there’s no reason this shouldn’t be an option, especially with ANet’s whole philosophy about playing how we want.

Many people would stop doing guild missions and fractals if ascended trinkets were account bound on use. Obviously they want people to do as much of their content as possible so it will never happen.

The stat difference from exotics to ascended isn’t that huge so waiting a few weeks is no big deal.

Oh and grow up yourself if you’re not willing to have a civil debate.

The system is perfectly fine as it is. ANet want people to spread out their focus in the game and refusing to do guild missions and Fractals is your choice. It takes time but I have 6 characters with full ascended trinkets now. You clearly want everything served to you on a silver platter.

I once went 2 months without a skin doing 48’s almost every day. Then I got 3 skins in 2 days after that. The way of acquiring Fractal skins is plain stupid to be honest.

I would have agreed at release, however people have spent a LOT of money on dyes and implementing an account wide feature now would anger a lot of people.

I guess as long as people don’t see gold dissapearing from their wallet then it seems free to them. Although if you start selling t6 mats instead of saving them you find out just how much money you’re technically spending when you craft max level gear.

The people that say you have good dps in tanky gear have clearly never used berserker before…

I don’t use AH, and I’m in melee right there in them. Knight’s armor, soldier trinks, zerker greatsword, and a still-respectable amount of damage. The difference between me and the zerkers on the ground is that I’m actually making that red bar go down. This, of course, with your typical boss lovin’ on me somethin’ fierce with my high toughness.

I’m laughing at how clueless you are… Of course people speed run the Aether path in full zerker groups. And if I survive for an entire fight in full zerker gear I’m doing significantly more damage than you and you’re only being a liability.

You could at least run knights or valkyrie armour with zerker trinkets. There is no PvE content that justifies anything that defensive and the only thing you’re doing is slowing down dungeon runs. You can support just as well in zerker gear but if you really don’t want to run that do what I suggested above.

Can you link to the reference to that you claim the number is coming from. In general you are right the numbers don’t lie, but the number usually only covers a very specific context.

In this case you are only talking about the content in which a boss does one-shot you. I am welling to bet there are far more instance of player going into down state from various source of dam than being 1-shotted by a boss. For example I am far more likely to get mobbed by 10 Orr mobs than 1-shotted by an Orr priest, simply because I know the attack is coming and I don’t fight a particular Priest as often as running through Orr. Wearing a tankier set allows me grater chance to survive most situations in exchange for a bit slower killing. I’ll take that. If you don’t I’ll respect that, but that’s your choice.

Most of the bosses in dungeons don’t one shot people, at least I have not seem a huge amount. There are far more attacks that does a huge amount of dam, or even over time it does a huge amount of damage. But you can potentially mitigate with armor, toughness and protections.

There’s also this thing called dodging.

It seems people can’t even suggest zerker gear without being called elitists these days…

A good player wouldn’t use bad gear/build end of. It’s just selfish in a group situation if you’re not playing to your full potential because of a crap stat set of gear.

If you’d like to provide mathematics supporting your claim that non-offensive support warriors are objectively bad I’d be happy to discuss it. Otherwise I’ll continue to give regen and cleanse conditions for my groups.

Common sense is all you should need… This game requires no healing support in PvE, condition removal is usually covered by a guardian or a mesmer with null field etc.

Regeneration is a weak boon in general, it’s certainly not enough to out heal any significant damage. You’re doing poor damage so mobs/bosses stay alive longer dishing out even more damage to your group and your “support” build is doing almost nothing to keep people alive.

If you’re still stubborn look at countless other threads on the subject matter…

With a build like that you’re not going to be doing much damage at all… Warriors are best when giving offensive support through banners of discipline and strength, for great justice and empower allies.

If you’re jealous of guardians make one… Even then a full berserker guardian supports just as well as a clerics one.

It’s easy enough to duo, but kitten is it boring…

Most I’ve had was about 1380g just before I spent it all when I crafted Sunrise.

P3 is the easiest and shortest but only gives 1.5g. P2 is easy as well but it’s a bit longe and the deadeyes can give inexperienced people problems when skipping. P1 is quick but has some annoying skips and if you wipe at Lupi the nearest wp is quite a distance away. P4 is just long and not really worth it if you’re not in an organized group.

Shouts do scale pretty well with healing. Shout warriors just want to be able to claim to be DPS and having gearset where power is the major stat is the first step to fooling yourself.

I prefer PVT because downed or dead DPS is no DPS at all. Having to constant pick up other group members that get downed because they’re 6/6 berserker and have no health or defense also stops my DPS. Having a Warrior healing the group with shouts can keep the other 4 up to put out max DPS too.

Your healing shouts are doing very little, whatever small amount of dps you’re doing will not be missed if you stop attacking either. Sounds like you’re trying to excuse your own short comings more than anything.

You can enter as long as you’re in the correct zone for that dungeon, it just requires one person to physically enter through the dungeon portal.

Sure it’s viable if you have no problem being completely useless. Your dps would be pathetic and your bonus healing is making almost no difference. If you must go with some survivability at least go with knights armour + berserker trinkets.

You’re essentially insulting us legitimate sellers with such a broad claim of kicking innocent players that’s why we get annoyed at these non stop threads.

If people are skilled enough to complete arah paths with 1-3 people why not sell the extra spots especially when there is a lot of demand for it. ANet themselves have stated in the past that they have no issue with selling dungeon spots.

Where is my option to report people who are clueless?
