Corrupting boons for the most of the time is single target – except for Well of Corruption and traited Death’s Charge which you can side step or walk out of. Meanwhile, your aegis and prot are almost always AoE. Good luck on Necro to keep those boons removed all the time.
I play on a small linked servers, our “blob” is arorund 15-30(on a good day), enemy blob has 60+ with 15+ boon corrupting necros
What im suggesting is why doesnt ANET do some calculation and how you get rewarded base on participation why not do that for overall score.
Because players can simply transfer to the highest population server to get rewarded for coming in first. That’s why it isn’t done.
That is what was happening for WvW tournaments, players stacked on specific servers to make shure they would end in 1st.
Every dh white knight says “5s on 65s cooldown”.
It’s 7s (cause everyone traits it)no one traits for longer duration over hunter’s determination…
literally no one.

Most players are used to be carried by Anet easy damage and spam skills, most expect to press keys and do alot of damage, DH f3 counters a litle bit of that, while skill is easilly disrupted and countered, players whine cause they dont want much effort, just want their skills to do damage and win every match, GW2 dont want to think they want every to work with a few keys, i guess Anet made them to play like that…
There’s blocking. I’m fine with blocking. It has counterplay, it has it’s role and price. Take a look at warrior or engi blocks. These are fine and healthy – a block is channeled leaving room for conterplay (unblockable interrupt) or at least doing what it should do – blocking damage while at the same time nor allowing for excessive damage from the character which is blocking – if you’re defending, then you’re defending.
And there’s the dragon hunter F3 cancer.
Is it channeled? Nope.
Does it respect proper counterplay? (unblockable interrupt) – Nope.
Can you prevent it’s casting, given you can’t kill it when it’s already up? – Nope.
Does it in some way limit dps loadout options, given you’re supposed to be blocking at that time? – nope.

Actually DH F2 & F3 are easilly disrupted, and only blocks frontal damage.
The only way for DH cast those is to use virtues with stability on f3 or use a shout with stability.
U cant just expect to spam to… even thiefs can go behind and 2 or 3 backstabs and Dh is dead…
Not knowing how to beat DH f3 situation is a huge l2p issue :\, or u just want to get close press keys and expect to win.

Jana.6831, those skills are necessary for bad players to kill something and think they are decent, reason some are on low CD, wich atracks players, that is not a matter of class design but a way to atrack players that dont want to go much deep on classes, they only need X build for sustain and damage, its more about “marketing builds” , Anet still needs to learn this is one of the reasons many player left, and others laugh at gw2 skill game.
Add some autoatacks that can hit 3-4k on some classes.. this game is ment to be easy.

Spartacus.3192, dont mace symbold feels weak due its low cast for a low achieve?
(comparing time that takes to cast symbol and its result).
On full soldiers i dont do damage with symbols and healling :| om symbold was always weak.
Would be to much if mace symbold reduced damage by X% (while guardian in inside offc).

Razor.9872, HoT mobs were amazing fun and hard at the beggining.
Prot + aegis + heal + cc + stability spam. Go to wvw and you will see what am i talking about
Boon what boons? they are constantly getting ripped off or tranformed to conditions, what server nowadays dont run a pack of necros corrupting boons?
Play guardian with Spirit weapons, game gets more complicated, while SW run from batle or go on vecations.
Same as play with no utilities.
note: SW casted underwater will not make land skill be on CD…. funny bug when u fight with 4 (SW utulities and still have 2 shouts or traps to use).
I think the traits across “bunker” and support are weak on guardian, meditations are actually strong w/o investement, but shouts are still weaker with investement, it does not make sense…… and we have alot of traits that conflict with others on those trait lines.
Stand your ground, need more stability stacks and something more usefull than 5 seconds retaliation.
Hold the line could be a good one, but it is weak, protection in this damage creep game saves for more 1 auto atack… regen duration is low or skill might be laking something.
Reatreat is nice, add a small stability pulse would be neat, to neat.
Signets and SW????… oh my what a disgrace…..

(For anyone who’s never played Guild Wars 1 in that game dyes were single use. And black was about as rare and valuable as Abyss in GW2, even more so in pre-searing.)
Sadly at that time i tough pre searin was all that gw1 had that time, so we had to wait for more releases, so we could pregress in more new maps and story ark etc.
Irony… Anet releases that model in GW2 XD..

The strategies are still the same:
Check if keep is paper.
Check if is abandoned.
Check if have 2x than them.
Check cheap and easy places to take walls down, when ic design of places above a keep or castle to build sige…. castles in valeys… that can be bombarded by serveral places… everything is designed to make game easy for bad players and blobbers.
No matter what BL, or EB it is a Ktrain model…..
Pay for a new game RvR based or a game d expansion edicated to a good RvR model? Yes i would, if it is worth it.
I dont play games that need X fee every month to let me log and play…

I know – I’m usually a thief in a blob, that’s where I’m coming from
And as a warrior I usually get party boons (which I don’t get as a thief because everybody thinks I’m a backliner).
Thief role should be the ninja guy have the fun on killing the downed guys or quick killing some one who just get back up.
Issue, all those roles that ranger and thief would do pretty well.. we dont need much of those , all we need is necros and eles for that spam.
Anet wanted to make the game so easy that game at the momment turned to be very uinpleasent to play…
delete all servers
delete eotm
create 3 factions with a continent.(several maps), sotry is even easy to link with LS….
* each faction has its own BL
* less tower on EB no longer blob server treb towers and red keep from SM.
(will be mostly a fight for SM for those who are blinded about it)…
add more maps, more structure types (with no gimmick*) .
*Guild ladder system for point contribuition.
*Remove the noobs weapon banner(it is a idiotic gimmick)
* Remove Airship, needs to be redesigned.
Issue with WvW is its design how is ment to work (with the actual gimmick game design it is unpleasent and ugly to play).

The portals are actually help the feel of traveling in CD, but that south rocky zone….. and center… need a shave.

More shouting CD? I woudl not mind since i tend to run untraited shouts for more health…
what if we had more boon duration, or stronger boons?
Issue is that shouts take out the surviability from medi heals, and we dont gain nothing in change, cast boons that are weak -.-"…

Warrior have a nice sustain and good damage output, but old zerg warrior builds are now subpar with the adition of revenant.
Also, why warrior is the only true heavy? Guardians are much more closer to a real heavy fighter than warrior. They have little mobility and can take a lot of punishment. Warrior in the other hand can run like if they were Usain Bolt while wielding a greatsword.
Sorry im used to facemelt guardians and DH’s… while some warriors i cant damage them well and they still hurt alot hen they hit…
Guardian/DH defenses are easilly disrrupted, boons corrupted, i think it is the weakest and easiest class to defeat.
Sustain/damage warrior is the best choice for frontliners (they are beasts with durability runes + traited charge offhand), and sustains against conditions is also very good.
They are far more impotant than guardians, wich are just small “prot monks” and small buffers .
The best frontline is put warriors in first place and guardians backing up them, when ic a fronline with most guardians/DH…. bait them and let the aoe farm those guys easilly.
Stability is easilly removed, with the amount of boon removal that exists, warriors can give stun breakers every 12seconds to 5 targets + 2 condi removal. on a 1200range.

yeh that usually happens when one of the players get tired with the rotation, which happens a lot to main warriors.
Short concentration span is a problem with the tanky builds.
Maybe I should give warrior another shot, every time I used him in zergs I was like “alone inbetween 15 enemies how on earth did I survive that and why is everybody running away?” – the stuff that heroes are made of.

they just need to make autoatack some weapons auto atacks do much less damage…. while the auto atack does has much has a higher skill CD… (some auto atacks even cleave with “easy” damage to make it more noob friendly)…
It is a game to atrack very basic people that just want to press a few buttons and look good… sadly it is paying for that in pvp.
Anet has even taken good mechanics from Gw1 ranger to make that class more noob friendly, ranger concept there was really inovative and good.

PvP is dead… If you want the skills to make sense go PvE cause that’s where they were intended to be used…
No matter what any PvP forum warrior says, PvP is an unbalanced mess that can not be taken seriously in any capacity.
aoe/cleave spam class design from pve added to pvp… they shoud design classes for pvp and then build pve arround that.
1st rule if want a decent pvp, and pve becomes much more skilled than dodge hits that will take 70% of health(wich means dodge that animation or orange mark on ground).

link pairs servers with close population but match is setted up for big vs small vs smallest.
this is what i have seen even when i ending in a green pair, other servers(blue and red) tend to have lesser players.
And i would bet that map cap isnt the same across green/blue/red.
Issue lies on the core of the gamemode itself.

And ANet changes stuff all the time. The question isn’t “can it be changed” — the question is “should it be changed”. The fact that some people have fond memories of something in GW1 isn’t sufficient.
The current sytem or path game is going it is awfull, pvp is know to be a joke not even good to observe that mode.
WvW link not solving anything and not helping, link system linking empty servers that will get blobbed by larger servers being linked, something like big vs smaller vs smallest, it is a KT model and pretend to be working to kt capping stuff and other groups capping back it is awfull concept.
Skill balance is a joke, damaging pvp, WvW.
GW2 has just a few skills, some classes, traitline are useless and utilies are far useless due not work, bugged AI since game lauch, nerfed to oblivion so strong gimmicks are easier to work, wtc.
Most armor stats are useless, most runes and sigils are useless, only a few are used.

Ok, maybe one change they could do for DBL is to allow us to go down to North Camp straight from spawn like it is on ABL. The Lab is right on top of the camp anyway, we could have a teleporter to go down. Other than that, the run distance to the towers are about the same (DBL towers have back entrances) and running from spawn to a side keep takes long even on ABL.
They could add a gate/portal that is active when that servers owns the camp, imo that would be fine.
I mean, I worked hard for those legendaries and I didn’t work for them just for me to see them.
People who want to see them, can.
Most legendaries are hugly, i would dare to say only a handfull of them are nice to cool.
If i had to work for a legendary the 1st thing i would do, would be, apply a lvl 1 skin on the legendary weapon, most backpacks are ugly to..

Stronghold is the worst pvp map/idea in the game. There is a reason ANET lets us uncheck stronghold option. Its that bad. If i want to PVE there is the whole world of Tyria and Maguuma out there.
Anet wanted to get atention from the kewl moba kids, while balance team is doidng what they believe is best for the game(wich isnt), IMO they even put the pvp team with tied hands……

GW1 was not made in the same engine as GW2.

Only way to play guard/DH is trap/meditation otherwise cant do nothing, and DH need to have Virtue trait to have stability on its f3, if a DH pop ups F3 and didnt gain stability he can be disrupted even with the defenses up…..
QQ about blocks on guardian/DH is the same to ask to the player to put hand of keyboard, they dont have any other way of survival, and mace shield builds DONT DO DAMAGE, and not gain any surviability by just blocking a few auto atacks…
- Comunal defenses has a internal CD of 15 seconds
- On the above build to have stability and aegis on block aegis wont heal since 3 traitlines are already choosen, so no space for a 4th one.
- if a DH heals on block using mace shield (and heals for a good portion), it is a build that does no damage all u need is keep auto atack, even if they had 30k hp it is a joke of a build, also means DH had to sacrifice valor or virtues trailine to use honor, so he dont have stability or dont have comunal defenses.
- DH wings of resolve, is easilly interrupted, DH needs first to use stability to avoid it to get skill interrupted.
- All health is puer deppendable of 10k hp + stats, blocks are there to cover the lack of health class has a heavy.
- class is super weak outside DH with meditation and traps… wich exist to make class in pair with other classes damage.
- a guardian to heal 1.2k on block has to wear cleric wich is a auto kill for who is playing pvp, with a class that makes no damage and has 12k hp.

Altough… DBL some stuff on the DBL is not the right way for a game progressions…and some map effects need to be reduced.
Players dont want gimmicks has much Anet enforces it in classes and WVW maps..

antidote.7201, condi in large scale does not do the damage aloe, it is the sum of all aoe being re-pammed in short time.
Ill keep saying reduce all classes cleave/aoe and tweak eles to a better defined role.

The Bunker Druid and its hybrid cousin are both OP. When played well they essentially cannot be killed short of 3+ players hammering them and even then it is often a race across the map to a door.
These build variants aren’t particularly effective in zergs but in small scale the Bunker variety is indeed as stronger than the D/D eles of old and the hybrid versions are nearly as tanky but far more dangerous.
They still can bunker much better than bunker guard/DH, well alot of classes do, and druid still does a very good damage.
- Every class that goes bunker should loose damage as guardian do, classes need to be less gimmick while still maint damage and resilience/ bunker alike sustain.
Wow. Take a look at the bottom tier of NA. That’s some awesome pairing there. Jesus wept.

it pairs a larger stacked server VS stacked smaller servers VS almost abandoned servers
So the larger server(server A) can blob server B wich is smaller and server B will have to farm the empty maps of server C, while server C only caps back what it can.
This creates map activity, thing are always flipping back and in when KT leave on BL to be capped back and other team scroes a few ticks, and then get map lost again..
WVW is not RvR gametyp alike, just a farmign map like eotm…with status.. lol

You know the truth is that it wouldn’t be that OP in WvW, only in PvE.
I’m running around with my Revenant in WvW doing 5k auto attacks at 1200 range, 10-15k+ CoR on a 3 sec cooldown, every other hammer skills ht for 6-7k+ and I got permanent duration of the buffs I need.
All these skills do more damage than my Meteorshower which only kill players unable to dodge out of the red circle. At full zerk spec elementalist meteors barely hit 7-8k (against a completle glass), and we all know the elementalist is just a glass canon when full zerk. For years we could do 12k meteors with meteornado and nobody complained because everyone understood that we had no good elite skills.All the casting time buff would just be more in line with the speed of HoT which is just faster.
Eruption and Ice Spike need to be easier to land, as they are currently the miss 75% of the time. Eruption should at the very least have a bleeding damage increase and speed increase.
Gust and such are a given, waterblast is so kittenty nobody even use it. The casting time on Lightning surge justify the damage increase. Seriously.
i do belive that, and i said it would be fine if Anet reduced the easy spam aoe of every class, so they can tune up eles to be a true aoe class, but is game is about play what is broken or stack to reach broken momentum anyway, that how Anet hoped to get more players, bring more players back or make player acepting changes because the flavour of easy damage, so every one kills something and feels good.
Rev is pretty much unskilled class, played one had to delete due the amount of joke that is to play with it, i dont like to feel carried when i play, reason i stick to the potato of mace/shield guard.
Eles lost their role to a dumb aoe game that Anet adopted to make game super easy for unskilled players, whatever class they are playing.
Anet should get together with no man sky team lel….. gw2 is more than lost also…

Traps are NOT the problem, apart from possibly the healing trap (which heals too reliably given that its supposed to be a TRAP and IMO heaks for too much). This is readily confirmed by the fact that the meta builds usually only take one offensive trap – test of faith. The problem is how out of balance healing, block and invuln are.
Let’s just count the heals for fun. The meditrapper build gets about
2k heal from smite condition every 16 seconds AND
2k every 20-30 seconds from triggering smite with the trait AND
2k every 36 seconds from judges intervention AND
4k from wings of resolve every 26 seconds (actually less because renewed focus)This is all with zero healing power and without even taking into account the actual healing skill (purification gives between 8 and 9k MORE on only a 24 (!) second cooldown). Add to this the fact that DH has some of the best access to blocks, ivnulnerabilities and condi removal and you should see the real problem here.
AND?
clases are designed whith a role in mind.
role of guardians are frontline damage absorvers. it can be doned whith an insane health pool and an insane toughness(pasive) or whit a frequent acces to healing and blocking (active), they prefered the second way . or¿you prefer guard designed whith a base health of 30k or more and a base toughness of 2k or more ?
Guardians dont have insane health pool (we wont be able to do anything if increase health pool due damage outpu is sacrificed, damage is all that matters ), they has the lowest HP pool like a thief, and damage mitigation is a joke when a game all u need is to bomb frontliners and they will melt with all CC and boon rip + aoe.
Warrior is much sturdier than guardian for frontline and does much more damage.

That would be interesting but, blob gameplay is awfull in this game, group who has more aoe spam capabilities wins.
To get siege down all it is needed is aoe walls, no more siege, nor players.
And if one blob atacks the castles and other apears to defend, atacker blob go search for something empty most of times, (recall EOTM gameplay?).
But the issue is, when one have a blob the other 2 servers dont have a blob, i would dare to say with my tin hat foil
, that how pairings are ment to work, since population “control” on this design it is impossible to do, matches will be always large server vs 2 smaller ones, with diferent fight times.
Links of red will probably will always link smaller servers that it total will always be smaller than blue while blue will be smaller than green,i bet even server population limit on map isnt the same.

We faced a few changes in classes on the last update how would the classes behave?
I main Guardian since open beta and I say DHs has to be restricted to only one per team. Period. SPvP revolves around holding little points. Which gets impossible when you are pitted against a team of 4 guardians who spam traps on those points and decimate you with a flurry of arrows on distance.
We just need all removed stats back even if they are strong in some classes, that is what game is about anyway….

Still i would not mind some of those changes actually, if the game wasnt already to easy to aoe stuff, classwide in wvw is all that matters, if the aoe/cleave from other were reduced (removed from most autoatacks) that would make some classes have a better defined role in all game modes.
Buff meteor shower damage by 20% if has a longer CD, it would be fine.
And btw that waterfield +250%…. XD, blobs would be a massive tsunami of lag and waterblasts.
Guys wait until ele has traps also and a icy op bow back.
