Welll TS > gw2 guild systems (chat rooms) that’s for sure.. for fast comunication, but due how or what is required to play this game all that players need is to play some dumb aoe gimmick spam at range, just stick to the tag even if u are not in the squad, while listen some music … meh its gw2… its not a serious pvp game after all.

@OP change your “Mace skill 2 isn’t 1 block” title to a more coherent one.
Its mace 3 and its called protector strike.
ive been noticing the same. if i have to jump while mace PS is in effect will not get triggered most of time, with ranger nor melee combat, nor will aply the boons.
druids = healer
zerker casters (mesmer/ele) = dps
Cleric warrior/guard = tanktheres the trinity. you just have to spec it.
for pve zerker guard with hammer can tank :| and u have the aditions of some dps.
pistol or off and pistol as wel :\, but sucks that it would get tied to X spec trait….
IMO not all additions should be elite spec..
Ghost that AA on bow and shield makes issues since they are defensive SW, the SW will get out of the combat scene to run after target while they should be used in defense and support.
Guardian is a mess overall, they removed tomes where tomes could be tweaked to better things that we have now, SW probably will continue trash or be removed to add something even worse than SW… so i would prefer to stay with SW.
What SW really need is besides decent traits, they need to stay closer or tied to the caster imo that is important, at melee range that would fix the run away or lost SW…issues, players would use the command for weapon to leap to zone for an atack/suuport, still for the AA, shield would be a 100 defensive weapon but i can see it twewaked on the longow SW.

We could have a healing skill and a elite as well:
Healing, heal yourself for X and your SW, for each SW healed, player gains more X heal and <insert somethign here> with 25 seconds recharge.
Elite, Makes your SW burn targets,for every hit on burning targets, player gains 2sec of MIght. ; would have 20 seconds of recharge.

SW get damage x% more from certain condis, but are imune to fire, since would be a fire and ghost themre.
on GW1 fire would make double damage to spirits but this are fire based.. so oterh condis would have to do more damage as trade off.

, queues happen in diferent time zones for the servers most of time, we only had 3 map queued on the 1st day, we might have small queues for some hours in 2 maps these days, still have to deal with 2x full stacked(70-80) blobs at home and EB, most of time.
Well at least Pip Wars is reall i dont need to do much besides leech with my zerker hammer rev :} farmming all those pve’ers.
issue is all these rewards are to cover the “we dont care about pvp balance” since they only care to design pve spam classes, imo that is why every stacks aoe, and keep just flipping towers in less than a minute(i think it even didnt even reached 30-40seconds, since i was in eb keep coutyard building some siege, and saw the blob arrive pvd’ingWC and when i get near they were already gettgin inside).. if they arent upgraded.
And no zerg defends t0 unless to ktrain the bags
cause game has no objectives besides blob farm, that is the structure WVW pvp is, wich is a joke.

ANet… your pvp game is awfull(from pvp to wvw)… since u killed your pvp with HoT and pve classes design, so a 2 vs 2 arenas with queue would be really good.
You guys already did the mistake to do not make 8/10 man GVG stuff(sicne u guys know how bad its your balance stuff), and u guys instaead of add what made GW1 a great game u guys choosed to add lots of placebos and very crappy(ugly) gameplay.
2 vs 2 should be and ranked arena queue coliseum style with its own ladder:

Now that so many are in full PvD mode, WvW is just a farm mode now. I enjoy seeing the new faces but any semblance of defense is seemingly gone. WvW is one dimensional now more than ever. Typically commanders avoid outright fights and often happily leave structures undefended for PPT flipping later.
Maybe others enjoy this style more than I but I would rather have fewer dedicated players than mobs just farming paper. Can there be something in between?

sadly GW2 pvp modes are a bit of placebos(as in FARM WARS) rather than a warfare gameplay, still its what ment to be.
Limiting the weapons close to the caster is something that ive been asking for quite some years, ANet never cared(blame the awfull balance crew) or must have a plan for later stuff.
I would wait for the next spec :\ Guardian traits are a mess at the momment.

IMO the issue with GW2 grind is that is not even funny nor relaxing… compared with older mmo’s their grind is still better even if takes longer time.
Alot of things in this game feel forced, from builds to, HoT map “questing/progression” i even lost track of where i stayed in pve stuff…
cause if it had a queue every one would abandon the lamers pvp side >:)
WvW is all about aoe+condi stacking in a very spam way and the more players ur sever have the better, u will dominate the skirmish.
just stack alot of hammer revs and necros/reapers… and full stack in one group.

@op, in part it did…more than i actually was expecting, the issues ar e skill lag still happens, not has before but still happens when one blob is mostly aoe based.
It is easier to ktrain since some server are still empty and then ktrain sides is swapped from blue to green and then red as example, matchups still pairs servers with diferent fight time zones, wich is what create the population imbalance.

Mace shield could be the healing/support role but for that we need traited virtues as well.
Wish shield trait could be swapped withhammer trait in virtues, so we could actually mix with whateved spec is added in future. (since players who actually use hammer are usign meditations as usual it would make better sense).
That and some healing increase trait would amazing… cause:
Atm im using the 10% sigil, and the food with 10% both with heal otput, healing power arround 900-1000 and the heal ticks from virtues and mace slowpoke heals that need to be at melee range are very very underwhelming
.. in terms of high risk and very low reward,… due how game is being played.
P.S i am also using the vitality trait as well where i get arround 24-27% outgoing heals… the sumatory of all this is wayyyy to low that doesnt make any diference on the most basic heals, 180-200 heals on virtue share.. lol with so much damage sacrifice it should have a better support/healer role…
The healing elite signet is still a burden… id take RF to refresh DH virtues (traited) for suport roles as 2 very good aoe heals and 2x blocks/defense.
DH is even a good support role with traited consectrations…

1st) Servers cant handle this much people.
2nd) wins who has more aoe output and gets less lagged, ive see groups one side can spam their aoe crap and sometimes is my side who can spam stuff while the other side is shutded dow in lag and can only dodge…..
AOE/Cleave spam should had been reduced to avoid this lag wars…
Imo they should fix the spam wars on pvp gamemode 1st then rewards who playes better and not by who can full stack a entire blob.
The pve class design already made pvp fail looks like they are enforcing it, it wasnt eneught to end pvp.
eb is not queued we had a small queue tho atm we are being ktrained….

WvW was/is in needs players, but game lags with players on WvW, whilem Anet will keep buffing aoe/cleave spams to make game more lagg in future.
They wan to make game better but until they stop enforcing the spam based gameplay for pve in other gamemodes we will get super skill lag..
This is why i keep sayign Anet should remove the cleave from autos… for most weapons.
How would these conditions build character be able to smash a Centaur Weapon Rack then, when doing renown hearts?

Conditions are made to carry players (game is all about find tactics to leech from it than actually l2p)…so dont worry about beating centaurs weapon racks, Anet probably will make classes and conditions based stuff much stronger..
well i still use trooper runes since i use shouts mace shield has well, but the WvW gameplay is only aoe spam based that shield dome is 98% of time useless, ill i can do is block aoe, will spread aegis to allies and heal them dodge dodge… empower, shield prot, retreat, SyG, back to mace block and repeat… keep range.. while trying not to get eated alive form the aoe spam of the bigger groups…
ANet broked aoe gameplay to carry players… that made alot of skills and weapon useless.
poor OP if he/her is on AR or SBI doubt they have th epopulation for those other 2 servers… maguma allone could 27/4 ktrain nsp and bp last match, i dont see sbi having much more players.

well this game is designed for pve only… reason they are doing that, since i cant follow pve on this game i spend all the time in WvW, wich where im not on the pvd side.
Guys i was playing my support guard with mace shield as usual and i noticed that, to increase the ally support within the virtues i had sacrifice the shield CD, wich is a team support weapon as well.
Would it be better to swap Glacial Heart form virtues with stalward defender, and make hammer trait in paith with meditations ?
I know Valor should be the toughness thingy but stats are no longer tied to traitlines, should the traitlines be better organized so we can have better oriented roles instead?
IT feels we sacrifice alot since traits feel quite messed up and some traits on virtues as way to much useless..
Btw overalll isnt the virtues traitline underwhelming?
Traits like retalious subsconcious, virtue of retribution… can they be swapped with other traits that could make more sense in virtues or for something more usefull besides retaliation???

Exaggeration does not substitute valid arguments. Every class giving out everything would not be good design for obvious reasons. However, having two or maybe even three classes that can satisfactorily fulfill a given role (e.g. “provide 100% quickness” or “provide banner effects”) would allow for much greater flexibility than we currently have. Right now, the buff distribution means that certain classes are essentially mandatory for teams (like warr/druid/mes in raids, guardian apparently in WvW zergs, etc.). In my opinion, no single class should be mandatory, although a healthy mix of classes should be beneficial for any team.

Thats all good but how ANet does stuff is arround exaggerations… NO class should have 100% uptime of anything… its a awfull concept sicne ANet does not know how to work arround that unless for some cheap mechanics/gimmicks spam stacks etc.
IF the new class has 100% uptime quickness i hope it isnt shared… WvW for zerg aoe spam with 100% quickness and allacry together will make the gameplay from stupid to the worst mmo ever… wich will make wvw worse and make more players abandon the game..
This is why GW2is the worst pvp game, classes design are pve based…

Giving 100% uptime of the same boon to different classes would be the exact opposite of “suck[ing] awfully”. It would be a (rare) step in the right direction.

-dont know how to balance a class that gives diferent things

That is what kills pvp, some classes start to do much in this design, some classes to be good at somethign that isnt usefull or is easilly underwhlmed since other class can do better with better gimmicks, theres alot of ways to end in a bad gameplay with that.

Because GW2 is the only game that uses drain over time/condition damage right… conditions are fine learn to deal with it.
i can cleanse a condition per second if enemy keep atacking + cleanse with 3 shouts + trnasform extra condi to boon + got some stun breakers, 2 skills that aply stability, 2 seconds invunerability, should i continue?
No i dont have issues with conditions, acually i have issues with noob revs CoR spammers from mid since CoR animation gets invisible due ANet graphical clutter and game performance, u cant avoid what is not rendered.

conditions were designed this way cause ANet abolished Hexes from GW1, Yes conditions are fine, but the acess to conditions is way to easy, they are very easy to reaply, and add the power creep existent in this game due spam requried in pve, issues are not conditions alone but the sum of all floating damage and ticks in a very spamable game, wich is what makes condi builds a bit more effortless than most builds.
Played as a fire guard and i could do 7k-10k fire ticks when full combo hits… its stupid,… damage for burst is one thing but every one fights are burst races, some based on spam other on rotation gimmicks, it should be a team play game like gw1 was…
Adding this much to classes take out the sense of roles, builds etc, every that matters is more damage ouput and faster than the target.
Classes need to do less in defense and offense.
gw2 is ment for bad players Anet needs to give those gimmicks so they think its them that are good.
conditions should have stayed like we had on gw1…..
You actually have DoT conditions in GW1.
-3 to -7 degen /second and per condi(degen stacks), they were used to pressure and condi spike pressure not how we have on gw2 where a full combo condi on tanky spec can take alot of health per tick
i do remmind when i used save yourselves to remove some condis from allies as faster as i can they still died and i didnt even passed from downstate was to fast due the ammount on conditions pulled XD, i wont even try use that shout again…..even after the recent changes…

getting all new weapons locked under elite specs w/o having decent roles with some of the weapons we have is very very lackluster.. 
elite specs should not be locked to weapons, we should get a non elite tied to a weapon and then a elite new trait tied to a role, both per expansion cause the way Anet is doing it is very imba and limited in everything..

yeah but that will kill alot of existing builds… on WvW, if those build are situational or underwhelmed against most metas, that will make WvW every one players same build more than we already have, it will be FORCED builds like we have in spvp….
not every one likes the mandatory dps gimmicks we have on spvp…
get a watercooling and OC that CPU at least to 5ghz to run smooth as baby skin, gw2 optimization is very cpu heavy if you want to play WvW.
got my cpu oc’ed @5.4 with a 980ti to deal with enemy zerg aoe spam, stil game has issues not every skill will be rendered to your screen … due game graphical clutter.

It’s fine because once we have multiple elite specs you still can only pick one. In fact, having 2-3 elite specs strong will promote more build diversity. You just see it as a problem now because there’s only ONE elite spec that has some power creep. It will get better as they introduced more, and it will make the xpacs more exciting than just having everything bland and exactly the same.
One thing I agree on is the weapon tied to the elite spec. For example I love my DH can use a LB but if future elite specs I prefer, then I can’t use my bow. But I doubt that will change so I am just going to live with it.
problem is the Anet ideals, each one needs to be superior to the last one, for the mandatory gimmick gameplay and to create the need that the new specializatin are required, will result in the game getting worse year after years with more aoe pve spam and more damage output to make the specs the only way to keep competitive and mandatory as well.
It could be somehting, but Anet is a joke at class balance and design… the specialization went completelly wrong how they were designed.
that would kill a bunker guardian in 1 second XD due their low HP base, if the guardian didnt cleanse the condi ofc, still isnt there a sigil to transfer condi??
WvW gameplay atm is very ulgy, basicly aoe and condis with revs shooting invinsible CoR since CoR animation gets invisible to other players when theres alot of skills being spammed.

Well you are returning player so you probably have some l2p issues. Weird thing is that i never get these kind of stacks. Do you just run straight in red circles or something or do that follow commander thing that is so 2014.
lol he would have died way before reach 50 stack XD, last time i got was arround 14-20 of several condis in a second…. used my shout that removed all condis to me… how clever of Anet make one shout being auto suicide button…. for the caster.

wich is stupid and shows how Anet is OK with the ktrains and groups avoiding fights, while Anet keeps pairing server with diferent ktrain momentum timezones so both have a change to ktrain…

Meanwhile i noticed u play on EU servers, the gap of population in NA is huge and pve players dont put their feet on WvW, also ANet keeps pairing even dead servers with the top servers.

I think it is possible but Anet wants this game to carry lots of bad players trough keyboars smashing….
Skill slipt is actually not needed, why just not reduce the cleave spam and make players get better, team better, gank and spiked better????
Some utilities need to be reduced as well to 3 targets, while we could have actually strong AoE skills in compensation.
I bet the game even on WvW would get better and less laggy….
The issue might not be the damage but the overall spam stack gameplay Anet is enforcing from pve into the other game modes, so reducing that and make players get better if they want better results.
whatever issues the game has at its core it is funny Anet keeps enforcing them, it is what made the game out of ESL, it wrecked WvW, it made alot of players leave WvW oreven GW2 overall and they come with rewards instead of change a little bit what is makin the game with ugly fights and stupidly unskilled compared with gw1 and alot of pvp games.

i would say that guardian shouts are very weak and underwhelming is a issue, more than retreat is in need of anything alone.
It is not funny as i like to play with shouts with mace shield, and im forced to play nuub crried by damage builds to look good… not every one likes to play DPS.
Anet needs to buff some traits(mace and shield) and the shouts utilities..
It is a set up that does no damage and the support is very very weak no matter how the CD get reduced…
That and Virtues traits are stupid, who want 240-260 retaliation? its useless… bothin traits and the consecration…

the problem is ktrain blob servers will propably farm that backpice easilly, while the pve players that join the dead servers wvw will be burned with loosing every skirmish and WvW rank will take alot of time….
never the less, its a placebo update… rewards is the worts way to fix stuff when the problem arent the rewards…

Pretty sure if “Stand Your Ground!” did not exist, Guardian would not be around. It’s great to be held up by one utility.
some times i have to run SiG and Hallowed Ground, and im still pulled or kb,, stability is easilly overwhelmed and removed.
i actually dontlike the fire effect :\ wich they could be turned off or would be cool if they had several colors depending the class.
for some reason i hate the barbecue armor designs….. can i do some meat on your back? o_O

I’m just sayin’, if you want a game that is purely designed around pvp, that’s your option. Don’t play a game that is designed to have multiple game types, and then complain about stuff that exists for that very reason.
i wasnt quite clear, the issue is the pve design confilcting with pvp, while Anet keeps enforcing their pve skill design spamway across pvp, they wanted the game to have a moba feeling, they failed since they dont know how to balance nor design classes that fit in both pve and pvp with good gameplay, all resumes to play certain gimmicks per class due how easy is to be carried in this game against players that dont follow the “metas”.
The gap between metas and effort needed is wrongly done.
