Growing pains. Any large scale PvP game has them, DAoC was unplayable during relic raids the first few years the game was even out, most of the times the server crashed.
That being said, it’s particularly worrisome in GW2 because they don’t have an assured revenue stream to upgrade their servers, which are in desperate need of an upgrade. Really they need to introduce 3 new servers and another WvW tier as most servers are Very High these dayss, as well as upgrade the existing servers.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
You’ll find different armour skins as you progress through the game, and the means to swap skins to keep the stats you want (if desired). Keep plugging away and you’ll find them.
Having said that, some of the early medium stuff is boring.
At the moment im not wearing medium armor though, im wearing heavy armor. Does it apply to heavy armor aswell?
Basically the further along you go, the cooler looking armor you are going to find from hearts/chests, what have you.
You will start seeing some really cool heavy armor skins start popping up around 30ish.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Looks like the cargo cult of game design is out in full swing in this thread. Gear grind bad. Trinity bad. Large group content bad. So sayeth a manifesto from years ago!
I’ve yet to see the grand developer vision in action in providing a revolutionary alternative to the status quo.
That is ironic because I very much see it in action- it is called GW2 and yes, it is kind of revolutionary when you look at the status quo of gear progression, raids, and trinity.
Sorry but thats a load lol, GW2 has broken nearly everyting about that silly vaunted manifesto. Also, GW2 did show straying from the Trinity is a horrible idea, but that sidewise gear progression can work in an MMO imo.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Today I received the healing signet from Anet support as a replacement ring. Thanks to Anet for helping me out. I really appreciate it.
Good move by Anet, and good for you too
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I don’t think it will hit either console, with good reasons for both. Like others have mentioned, M$ charges far out the kitten for updates and you have an $8 a month Live subscription. That’s a no go.
Which is really a dang shame because Xbox Live is a pay for, but working, version of PSN.
PS4 would be a better fit, by far, but at the same time you have to deal with Sony’s laggy servers, infrequent updates, and shoddy security practices.
Really they are better off just milking us PC dwellers, because both consoles have too many drawbacks to have a successful MMO at this time.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
What both Geotherma and Danikat said. That is all.
How dare they bring logic to the gw2 forums! :p
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
OK, I have an idea for you all. Instead of the way the current PPT system works try this.
Right now everything has a fixed value (other than killing yaks). What if they were not. What if they ramped up over time. But also, you add in a bonus for capturing something which also ramps up over time.
So what this would mean is lets just say that Green just took their garrison. Well that garrison is now only worth +2ppt, and after the next tick it will be worth +4ppt. And then after a bunch of ticks it caps out at its current +25PPT. But what is also happening is there is a second mechanic ticking. This would be the value that this keep would be worth if another team was to take it from green. So lets just say that its worth +10 if you take it before the next tick. And then maybe +15 after that. Finally capping out at like +200 or +300 something like that.
So what would happen is that the longer an enemy would have a tower the more rewarding it would be for them to hold it and for someone else to try and take it from them. I think this would encourage people to go after high value targets while trying to hold onto their own. As a +2 tick and +10 for taking a keep would not be worth the time or effort that would go into trying to siege something.
This is a solid idea. Another thing I thought of is a “underdog bonus” type deal, where 2nd and 3rd place teams earn slightly more points for each objective taken in a single tick, and keep the PPTs the same as they are now
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I do not mind PvP. That’s why I’m in WvW, after all. I’ve always been a PvPer. However, I consider CAMPING completely unacceptable. It wouldn’t be so bad if people had a way out without being forced to completely remove themselves from the map because some dumb players feel it’s fun to grief others. And anet not implementing any possible way to out of such situations is bad game design. For example, why am I not able to simply run back through the portal? It makes NO sense. The people who say ‘PvP happened in a PvP zone’ are often the ones who are griefing or haven’t experienced the constant ganking themselves. They have no empathy and don’t care because it didn’t happen to them.
Not raining on the parade, I think JP camping is an excuse for the skill less personally so I agree with you.
But what you mentioned about having no empathy, that is just human nature, if you don’t experience it first hand, you really can’t imagine, even if you say you can. All I can say is try in the early morning hours or mid day during the work week.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Any chance you have a link/reference for those other concept art?
How about this one?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/7/70/Charr_08_concept_art.jpg
Seems like it would be a perfect alt skin bound to the Predator rifle.Or maybe this one?
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tYGwlLTdXTE/Tq7FJLm6LXI/AAAAAAAAAb8/qq_v6HdqbIw/s1600/EngineerFlamethrowerRifle2.JPG
That second skin would be amazing, they should use that!

I don’t really get the difference between transferring to a server to enjoy better fights, and getting transfers for 4-5 months to get better fights.
To put it another way, DB is asking for a lot of people to do something (transfer) that they consider unthinkable and wrong.
I’m so happy you care so much about DB and the recruitment thread. I have never felt so loved in my life. Is there another subject we care to break out the microscope on?
My contact, I lost one! I’m half blind! Bring the ’scope over here!
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
you sure that’s not the artist’s signature? or am i missing it?
Right under the jaw in the fire it says “The Essex …” which is a remnant from the original image. This image was released before beta, so it sparked a lot of theories to what it meant.
Hah cool, I see it now. Very good eye. Or I am mostly blind, one of those
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
What you want for “end game” ArenaNet doesn’t believe in. I would just stick to WoW or try Rift, this game wasn’t made for someone who enjoys end game content or raiding, it was made for the journey.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Then why attempt to defend yourself in saying that you did not consult the entire server?
Anyway mass recruiting whether one person does it or it’s agreed on by the WvW populace throws any attempts to appear proud and unified down the drain.
I contend it supports and emphasizes our unification and pride. We like our server and the people on it. We want others to share our community and our success, if they’re willing. We want the work of our diligent SEA community to be rewarded. We want to move to T2, get crushed, learn from it, and do it again. We want to get better, and we want other like-minded people to join us as we do.
Some may choose to see that as an awful sentiment. Why would anyone ever think about moving forward, or progressing? Why can’t we just be happy with what we’ve got, and where we are? I personally choose not to see things that way.
He’s just trying to start an argument or he’s jealous. Either way don’t worry about it. There is nothing wrong with DB trying to actually gain ground and fill in the weak spots in our WvW armor.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Waypoints are something worth defending.
That being said, I do wish players would defend objectives and play in enemy borderlands more often. If they bring back orbs of power they should provide bonus karma or magic find rather than a competitive advantage though.
Screw useless karma or MF, make them give bonus WxP so I can finish all these ranks quick :P
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Doing that would basically defeat the purpose of playing the game further.
that should be a clear warning on the direction this game is heading
So you think that players are gaining money too fast? I don’t quite understand.
I think his point was putting everything based around gold in a game meant to not have a “grind” is absolutely stupid.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Maybe keep the 100g book, but add a 50g book that has requirements such as Take 25 towers, 15 keeps, SM 5 times, etc.?
Just throwing out ideas.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
That’s a pretty cool find, whether it’s coincidence or not, the resemblance is definitely there.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Confusion = GW2 PvP IQ test.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
“We want to get DB to higher tier by ourselves, not just join another server.”
Is this clear enough??Wait, but you’ll try to get other servers to join yours…? Then you’re not doing it by yourselves at all.
I don’t think we belong to T2 yet.
We came back up from T6 by slowly building our community, and attracting players. New players join the game every day, new guilds form and disintegrate every day.
Skill and builds are largely even across most servers in adjacent tiers, it’s just a matter of getting the numbers and coverage. It will be silly for us to presume that we’ll be able to further our skill to an extent that we’ll completely steamroll higher ranked servers with our current numbers.
20 vs. 60 victories just happen on this forum, and very rarely in the game.
So yeah, we need people to accomplish that goal. I’m actually in no hurry. #7 is not bad, and I like the fights we’ve been having the last few times. I can solo roam, zerg, farm, and do whatever in this tier. We’ll get there when we deserve it.
Well said, as usual Calvin :P
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I was writing something, but half way through, I got bored, and my writing time was up.
so i’ll do a TL:DR version. TG & BP both yield huge numbers, they raid for set times then rest. That’s your problem, not numbers. When they are in DB, they have a huge group 50+. You want those numbers on during Prime time? Yell at them to stay on longer then an hour.
Also, BroNade <3
Let’s try Occam’s Razor:
Which is more likely?
Dragonbrand is a little short on the NA population.
or
Dragonbrand’s guilds all log in at the same time, for an hour only, and log off after smashing their faces against the infinitely more talented Maguuma roaming guilds?
Again, you can make up stuff all you want to. It doesn’t make it reality.
+1
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I enjoy Dragonbrand, we have plenty of people 24/7 it’s a populated server even in the wee morning hours. Tarnished Coast, Crystal Desert, Gates of Madness, and a few others stand out as above the rest in terms of community IMO, but opinions will differ here.
Pretty sure everyone likes TC though.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
if there was a down vote button i’d use it for the OP, personally i see this as a complete waste, and it interferes with WvW, all around just bad..
What do you think of jumping puzzle achievements and world map completion POIs, vistas & skill challenges?
Irrelevant, please stay on topic or create one about JPs/PoIs. But yes having them in WvW is an awful idea
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
it was from the get go meant to be played seasonally with a world champions declared and since I dont see anyone even close to the medal count jq has why not do it now and as far as matchups all I see are blowouts aside from the bandaid fux un t7.
Newsflash: there’s world beyond NA.
According to your medals from http://mos.millenium.org/matchups/histories actually Vizunah Square is better than Jade Quarry. Yet… they were dethroned by SFR, to a degree. JQ may still be overthrown.
@down: i love how players talk about global stuff of the game, like weekly WvW resets or resetting the whole ladder, based solely on their database’s current situation. Somehow it happens much more often with the NA players.
I guess it comes from the centuries of kicking the crowns butt both militarily and economically then bailing you out in 2 world wars then defending western europe from the USSR for decades while western europe socialized all the while never once being thanked kind of like an ungrateful wife or grlfriend so please forgive us yanks of our arrogance but its not unfounded.
Back on subject. Presumed everyone concerned would understand there would be 2 champions hence the plural in champions and knowing there were eu and na brackets.
Did you graduate from a university? Do you have a college degree? Please name the degree you achieved?
You are shamefully arrogant. Not funny. So lets shame train you.
The American colonial military never found success alone in the field against the British. Lucky for them they were rescued from defeat by: Native Americans, French military personnel + supplies, slaves, and women. Make sure to say thank you next time.
The British currency is still worth more than the American dollar.
The French and British successfully fought WWI to a stalemate with the loss of millions of lives for years before the Americans decided they had an interest. Why don’t you take a look at the deaths inflicted and received during the American contribution. Its small.
“U.S. intervention in the war, as well as the Wilson administration itself, became deeply unpopular. This was reflected in the U.S. Senate’s rejection of the Versailles Treaty and membership in the League of Nations. In the interwar era, a consensus arose that U.S. intervention had been a mistake, and the Congress passed laws in an attempt to preserve U.S. neutrality in any future conflict. Polls taken in 1937 and the opening months of World War II established that nearly 60% regarded intervention in WWI as a mistake, with only 28% opposing that view.”
Americans had no interest in “saving” anyone. They opposed the war and their contribution was small. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_I
WWII? America did not fight alone. Are you aware of that? The military personnel contributing in WWII included countries from all over the world. If you stack up the numbers Russia contributed more guts and blood in WWII than anyone else. After WWII America attempted pre-eminence and threatened much of the world with war and invasion. They did not support Europe militarily by themselves. That duty was shared equally by multiple countries. America was not capable of doing it alone.
Take a close look at your American military interventions:
http://academic.evergreen.edu/g/grossmaz/interventionkittenmlEuropean countries certainly did socialize their political policies successfully. How much does health care cost in European countries? How much does a college education cost in a European country? How large are their militaries? How much national debt do these countries have? Do you know where to find these numbers? No, you don’t.
Your misogynic comments fit right in with the mind numbing vitriol.
All Americans do not think like you.
Shame on you.
ROFL that was one the longest but best troll posts I have seen. Good job sir
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
How about you give these egohounds a duel arena somewhere else, that way the WvW players don’t have to deal with the dead weight? Come on Anet make it happen!
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I absolutely hate the multi guild system in this game. I honestly don’t know what purpose it serves.
What ever happened to guild loyalty?
It lets people be a part of multiple communities and groups of friends – it may not serve a purpose to you, but it does to me and many others. In GW2, I can actually be in a guild with different groups of friends, instead of leaving all but one group out in the cold. This is a huge deal for me, as I enjoy both being in a small tight-knit guild with my RL friends while also having a larger guild to do events and WvW with – and my big guild doesn’t seem to mind that I rep my small guild when I’m playing with them.
Whether the implementation is good or not is another matter, but there’s pretty clear reasons why the idea of multiple guilds serves a purpose.
Personally I find ‘guild loyalty’ a bit of a silly concept. There’s no reason a person can’t enjoy time with multiple communities, and since this is a game, not a job, I don’t see why someone should be forced to only put in time with a single community if they don’t want to be. Requiring loyalty to the guild and only the guild is a bit too serious for what amounts to a hobby for most people.
Again – I’m fine with guilds that require sole membership, it’s their choice as long as they’re upfront about it. But for me, the multi-guild system (as an idea) is great – though I do agree the implementation could be improved.
I was with you till you found loyalty a silly concept.
Not loyalty as a whole – perhaps I was not clear. I meant the idea of ‘guild loyalty’ that precludes spending time with other groups on occasion.
I’ll edit my post to be more clear – but in short, I mean that when people consider ‘guild loyalty’ never spending time with other guilds, and devoting all of one’s time to that one guild alone, it’s a silly concept.
People should still contribute to their guild and not leech off of them, but by the same token someone is not ‘disloyal’ if they split time between guilds.
I know what you meant, I should of added guild to my sentence. To each his own I guess, but lack of guild loyalty is one of the many reasons why most MMO communities are on par with 4chan.

Learn from it and move on.
Agreed, learn from it and just group with guildies/friends, because the average pug on GW2 is an elitist who thinks he’s hardcore but is actually dumb as a rock. That’s pretty much what this thread has taught me, don’t bother trying to find a CoF group.

this is really really frustrating to play, ive logged out everyday after jsut 1 hr of play cos of the lag,
Anet, please do something, anything to fix this as this is not fun atall to play!
You are playing on a tier 1 server…one of the most populated…. Transfer to T8, no more lag.
I cant really agree with this. Anet created a part of the game that was meant to include large scale battles with 3 servers. Unfortunately when this happens no one can do anything, I am lucky if I can auto attack sometimes. This is a problem with their hardware and it is their responsibility to fix it.
Didn’t say I agreed with it, just telling him why it lags and how to stop it.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Look at it this way, she wasn’t the main character, but she was awesome. So we’re kinda like Ivanova from B5. We are the right hand of awesome.
Susan Ivanova: Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander. Daughter of Andre and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is going to kick your sorry [donkey] all the way back to Earth, sweetheart! I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you will ever see. God sent me.

Joy.
Cya, ArenaNet.
Way to take an absolutely amazing game (Guild Wars) and drop it into the furthest abyss possible.
Recommend firing whomever thought of leaderboards.
Competition keeps some people happy. If you don’t care, don’t look at them. Problem solved.
That’s not even the problem. The problem is breeding elitism through a ficitional useless number people will put stock in even though it’s just a measurement of time invested. The only reason to honestly have leaderboards is for PvP, any kind of quantifiable PvE metric gets grabbed and ran with. I weep for the future of dungeons if they come out with stats like dungeons ran, speed clear stats, etc.
Just a bad idea overall, going to cause fragmentation.
Heavin forbid people want to clear dungeons fast and have fun at competing in this fashion!
Do you really think you’re going to join a PUG that says “we’re going for the WORLD RECORD – please ping your gear!”?!
Any group that goes for the fastest clear time would be a set group of players looking to accomplish this, etc. PUGs would not be impacted.
You must not of played WoW during the GS debacle, where even pugs were shunned by a number derived from a kitten poor formula that doesn’t take into account player skill or class limitations or abilities.
Maybe the Speed clear thing isn’t that big of deal for pugs, but total dungeons ran, how many times each dungeon, etc. will become a big deal, whether it is now or not.
If people want a speed run type deal, fine, do it by guild not by group or player.
I played WoW since closed beta phase 2 to end of CATA and demo’d MOP. So I’ve got a good idea of how it functions
. Nonetheless, guilds should consist of players who have the same ideals you have and enjoy playing the game in a similar fashion, no? Yes, these changes might force guilds to split and/or change their goals/ideals, but in the long run I really don’t see how that is an issue.
If you don’t think something splitting a guild apart is an issue I really don’t know what to tell you. We’ll just disagree, to me guilds are important, to others I can see why they wouldn’t be.
I don’t really think you’re quite understanding me here. Of course guilds are important (I missed the part where I said they weren’t). However, this implementation gives guilds a reason to pursue a more structured focus and interest as opposed to simply a social hangout spot. I think it’s striking the right balance and giving hardcore players more to aim for. Again, these changes won’t impact casual/pvx/go with the flow types guilds, but it will give those looking for more (and kitten flexing) something to aim for, which I’m on board for.
Like I said, I respectfully disagree I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said by both sides of this debate.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
The entire idea of having more than one guild kills the point of an MMO to me. It just encourages guild hopping even more, which has already been a problem in games since….well…forever.
There will never be the same level of guild loyalty in this game that games like EQ, DAoC, etc had, because they actively encourage you to not be part of any one community.
It was one of the major gripes I had from the get go with this game, and it’s still in game, but it’s just a really bad idea that was poorly implemented as well.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
It is getting bad when I a geared Zerker Warrior get kicked from COF1 Because I did not ping my gear fast enough for a group that had no ping gear requirment on GW2LFG.
By not fast enough I mean 1-3 seconds. to slow for these kittens. This is the quickest way to kill an MMO, the players themselves. They have done it to countless other MMOS.
I have been calling these players the Locusts for years, it seems applicable.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
All the conspiracy theories here against speed runs are interesting.
People that enjoy playing competitively.
1. Arn’t playing the game how it was meant to be played.
2. Are botting.
3. Have to be warriors.
4. Having the initiative to learn how to improve your skill in a game is a problem in all MMOs
5. One evening of doing a dungeon without paying attention counts as “experienced”
6. Being asked to have a type of gear that takes 2 evenings of casual playing is bad.
7. Every character can only have one armor set and you should only equip that one and never change it around.
8. Players that attempt to learn and improve their play to max efficiency do so because they are bad at the game and the more they learn the worse they get
9. Nothing in the game is required in any run except maybe hitting auto attack so you shouldn’t be expected to do anything more then swing your weapon
This guy doesn’t get it. But that is okay, not everyone will.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Your feedback is important to us. Please stay on the forums and your concerns will be addressed by the next available dev. :P
I’m glad to be making WvW better and while I’m the face of the team to you guys, don’t forget all the hard work from everyone else on the team. I’d be doing nothing without them.
Well spoken and humble. Good to see some communication happening finally. Taking a great page from Trion (Rift) imo by having better communication. The dev/player communication in that game MADE that game for me. Otherwise it’s a slightly improved version of WoW.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
I still don’t understand why DB wants to recruit more NA.
Your NA population is (gasp) about as large as Maguuma’s, possibly larger at some times. Last night, we took your entire borderland with 30 people. You had 30 people, too. We had some good fights, but ultimately kept you contained to one or two towers for an hour or two.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, 60+ come and take back their garrison. You get the west keep back, and then we hold down the east keep for about an hour. Just as suddenly as the 60+ came, they were gone, so our 30 fought your 30, won a bunch, and took your borderland again.
An hour later, this same process happens again, except this time you come back with even more. If you guys would just spread out your play to have 40 people in a borderland all the time, instead of 20 for awhile, then 60+ for an hour, you would be doing much better.
Plus, ignoring the fact that your NA presence is fine (probably stronger than Yak’s NA presence, as far as population goes), if you had even more NA, you would destabilize a relatively even fight, and jump up and down from T2 every week, like FA did for awhile, or like Maguuma did with T3/T4 for the past few months.
Tl;dr: your NA population is fine, just utilize it better.
I would really like to know when this scenario played out, because DB had the outmanned buffed last night in our own BL most of the night.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
A 30 minute timed refund feature would be nice. Buy something like that from the laurel vendor, find out something that makes you go “wait, I dont want this” and be able to immediately return it. That would fix problems like this.
although this is a a great feature and every mmo has it now a days, i don’t see anet doing this, they seem too stubborn
haven’t you guys played other MMOs though? they use the term unique also… i believe RIFT does, and i know WoW does…
Refer to my earlier quote, if someone wasn’t playing Rift or WoW, they would have no idea unique means you can only equip 1, especially if it allows you to buy it. in EQ it was called Lore item.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
And honestly if you are playing during EU prime time on US servers for WvW, it’s important enough to stay up till 2am which I’m sure a lot of us WvW people do anyway
I am not. I play on EU servers, being from EU, and my WvW resets start only after 2am my local time. As i said in another thread… there’s world beyond NA
I gotcha. Was just an idea I had spur of the moment type thing. I still like my High Commander idea upon reflection though.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Just sharing an experience I had. I have 3 level 80 toons, 2 of them are at FOTM scale 39+. I’ve also earned the Dungeon Master title and do daily random dungeon runs mostly with my guild but sometimes with a pug party. I’d like to think I’m not an elitist MOST of the time and in all my daily runs I’ve only ever initiated a kick once and it was not due to gear issues or “noob” behavior but simply because the player went afk at a crucial time (at the arm seals in a 30+ fractal) without any logical explanation.
So today I went with my fairly new but fully zerk-geared mesmer to my first COF p1 speed run with a pug group. I’ve done COF p1 countless times before, most of them with my guildmates. And yesterday I joined a “casual” speed farming pug group with my mesmer (had 1 ele and later 1 guard, not full zerk) that did well (did 1 run in an average of 15min). But the group I joined today was one of those elitist groups that wanted 4 zerk warriors and 1 zerk mesmer and demanded that we ping our gears. We finished 1 run in about 10min. I THOUGHT I did everything right including blink-porting them through the boulders (on my first try). Then after the run I got kicked. I asked two of them why. Only one of them was kind enough to reply and tell me what I should have done. He said I “didn’t pull the slave driver into the wall and didn’t time-warp fast enough”. Also I cast feedback late at the turrets (apparently they didn’t notice I cast Phantasmal warden before casting feedback). Other than that I did everything right, he said.
I am astonished at the level of elitism in the GW2 community now. And especially because from what I was told I only made minor errors that I could have easily changed. I’ve tolerated much worse mistakes from other players without raging or kicking. Wouldn’t it have been easier to tell me what I did wrong than risk getting a less experienced mesmer on the next run? Or is it really just easier to initiate a kick?
Look for this to get far worse as they add more to the leaderboards.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Eh, I’m on the side of the fence that thinks there are too many armor sets and not enough unique weapon graphics.
I mean, half the level 80 weapons still use the same level 1 weapon graphic. That’s just…wrong.
See: Flame & Frost weapons, Wintersday weapons (both Gem Store and toy skins), Halloween weapons (both BLC and pseudo-Legendary), Consortium weapons, etc.
ArenaNet’s been introducing new weapon skins. They just want you to gamble REAL money for them.
Oh, right. They did give us the hideous Guild weapons for “free” if you are willing to join a large-enough guild.
Yea, I meant skins that people can get without real money. Should of been clear on that. 60$ is more than enough, unless they come out with some really amazing skins I doubt I’ll spend more money any time soon, sans possibly inventory upgrades. I haven’t had a space problem yet though.

Buy Eternity and absolutely annihilate the gem market. That’ll teach those people who make more money than me IRL! :P

it was from the get go meant to be played seasonally with a world champions declared and since I dont see anyone even close to the medal count jq has why not do it now and as far as matchups all I see are blowouts aside from the bandaid fux un t7.
Newsflash: there’s world beyond NA.
lolwut?

i want freedom of stats allocation.
give us blank skins.
let us slot in the major and minor attributions ourselves.
No please, they are already having enough trouble balancing the stats they have now.

have a poll type screen in-game on server reset days, say for 4 or 5 hours.
Aka 2~7am in Europe?
Well it would have to be during EU prime time for the EU servers of course. And honestly if you are playing during EU prime time on US servers for WvW, it’s important enough to stay up till 2am which I’m sure a lot of us WvW people do anyway

JQ stomps both t1 servers every week
http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA
What gives you the impression that t2 servers would have any chance?
Well if they are already stomping every week, let them stomp others too just to mix it up. I’m sure BG or SoR would like to play against someone else every once in a while. And honestly I would get bored winning every week on JQ to the same 2 servers.

If they were ever dead set on reseting the tiers then reset them every couple of tiers:
Tier 1+2 jumble
tier 3+4 jumble
tier 5+6 jumble
tier 7+8 jumbleOr just bring down NSP and HoD to tier 8 so i can fight them again…they were fun. Had solo roamers, small group roaming, the zergs werent all that big, was nice.
I like this idea. Maybe they could do 1 week a month that is “Jumble Week” where the tiers you have laid out there get randomly placed. You could even make it not affect the ratings, or have a 50% of normal affect on the ratings. Just mix it up some, it’s not a bad idea really!
Lol, you guys are living in lala land;)
I week a month no one would play because putting JQ in with T2 servers would be a joke and boring.
I think you overestimate JQ and underestimate servers getting a chance to fight the top dog. Yea I can see JQ winning 90% of the time, but I still don’t think it would be an absolute monkey stomp if you kept it to t1-2.
