secondary stories are told through world events, some of them are no impactful at all some of them are.
it’s true, there are no cinematics or instanced content but at least they are multiplayer events.
take SWOTR for example, the way they deliver story is so much better, pure bioware style, although when you play it it feels very single playery even if you are in a group.
i’m not saying it’s a bad thing, i’m saying there are different ways of delivering stories and lore, gw2 chose the main story arc instances with worldwide events for secondary stories

as far as i know there are people getting those every mushroom they harvest in every part of tyria (like me) and people who never find one (like my boyfriend).
they said it’s not intended, although they are account bound otherwise i would have given it for free because they cannot be stored anywhere

My problem with medium/light armor in this game is not even that it seriously lacks skimpy option for male, but that since i see my character from behind all the time, male armors all look the same, long skirts touching the ground with or without fur at the end.
endless stream of butt capes, zero back muscles revealing armor and just 2 pair of trousers in light armor.
I say let our butts be part of this world, free them from their capes and coverage, hell let at least our legs be part of this world.
i would also like more “modern” look like armors. i wouldn’t go to the jungle with a long coat, i would go there with a tank top and a pair of cargo trousers (maybe a short jacket).
I know that this is supposed o be a fantasy setting, but we have laser sword, flying ships, steampunk themes, so why not a modern set of outfit?
and why the hell the tribal armor is no more available to unlock?
and finally, are we compensating something with all those big shoulderpads?

when you accidentally disconnect or you are forced to teleport to another map because for no reason waypoint in your map won’t work when you are dead you can’t go back in a map with a completed meta. or at least this is what happened to me in dragon stand and i’m still kittened about. i spent hours there than i died during mouth of mordremoth fight and couldn’t waypoint

this thread makes me smile because i mainly play a mesmer, but when i play a necro both in pve and pvp everything is so much easier i don’t even have to bother dodge anything.
and minions don’t die after the enemy you targeted died.
i don’t know if it is overpowered or not, but definitely it’s easier to play than a mesmer.

i updated my pc and there was also a new apdate from invidia. so far the problem seems solved.

anyway the raids don’t require 8 hours a day. our guild dedicate 2 hours 3 days a week to the raids. the raid don’t reset daily, so you have a full week to complete it.
really it’s not a matter of time. although it is a fair matter of skill, so i would suggest not to pug it.
there are a lots of video about those fights that you can watch in your spare time to see what your role can be.
and finally, as you described how you play, you really don’t need a legendary armor, actually, no one needs one to be fair. even though you should be able to switch stat with it, the way you play i don’t think you change build that often and you can always try new builds in exotic

I don’t think it’s so much about time required, it’s more about commitment.

if a raid is scheduled at certain time, you better be there, else you won’t have a slot next time.

yes, it’s like when you decide to hang out with friends, you decide to commit a night out with them and to do so you don’t pick other dates with other people…
but you hang out in a mmo instead. but i don’t see why it is ok to go to the cinema and not ok to decide to spend 2 hours in a raid

how do you know people interested in raids are the minority?
i guess they have data and if they are increasing raid wings is probably because according to their data enough player are worth the development… or you just say the raiders are a minority because you are not in said group?

fill the bar, then use the point to start the new tier, the more you train the more points you need

another solution would be no runes slot, but the legendary armor could have more numbers to stats or when you switch stats follow the logic of a superior rune with some limitations (chose your main stat increase, chose secondary stat, chose effect on heal, chose final effect etc etc)

edit: before ascended, legendary weapon had the same stats as exotic, it was all about the skin. with the introduction of ascended they increased the stat and the ability to change it

I’m all for light armors that are not dresses.
unfortuantelly outfits won’t do it for me, i’m not saying i don’t like them, but i would prefer to mix and match for a personal style.

the problem is still there for me. i can still play with windowed full screen, but as soon as i switch to full screen i get the flickering again

you whiners never learn to shut up. after they nerf moa or whatever is the next skill a mesmer can perform you’ll always find an excuse to complain about mesmers or whatever other class you hate at the moment alongside mesmers instead of learning to lose with dignity.
some players of some classes should also be ashamed after so many buffs to their classes to still complain just because they are so terrible that even a mesmer can kill them.
this is not hating, pvp whiners are facts you’ll never get rid of those they have endless supply of tears and blind complains. pvp is a place for party cooperation not for 1v1 duels. the focus of pvp is not killing players but capping point, using maps to your advantage and most important to know when to withdraw from a fight instead of just losing 1v3 or 4, the only killing players map was removed from the game, so i don’t know what you are talking about. you guys are ridiculous

i have windows 10 and yes both a graphic card and an intel, although if i check it says the game is running under graphic card and not intel

i updated the card with the driver released a day ago indeed. i’ll try to roll back and see what happens.

yes exactly, the reason i didn’t play in windowed full screen was too low fps

i deactivated the v-sinc option and restarted the client and i solved the problem.
for some reason v-sinc was causing this

edit: i also alt tab to write this post and when i was back in the game i got the issue again. hope restarting the client will help otherwise no alt tab for us

edit2: the problem was solved only in the character selection screen

since last patch i can run the game ony with windowed fullscreen mode otherwise i get the screen flashing and is unplayable. Anyone else got the same issue, any solution?

i don’t mind at all, though a majority of female reflects guild wars 2 community which have a majority of female character. i mean it has to be that way since both men and women are mostly playing female characters

edit: whatever it is just the boss fight otherwise it’s going to be swamp daily all over again after the first few successes

i didn’t mean tokens to be soulbound, but tokens to be collected for every same run you do with every alt.
it was like that before, than they changed it when they decided for the dungeon to be more rewarding, now that dungeon don’t give anything special but tokens, why shouldn’t revert it as how it was before?

it also resets your progression reward in that map

Hello, since dungeon are not giving gold anymore and very few people are playing that content I would like to suggest to revert the reward in terms of tokens character bound daily instead of account bound, so at least for people not playing pvp it can be a source of tokens to complete collection that otherwise require ages to get

i too think phantasm need a redisign, i wish them to be more similar to necromancer minions, although on the other end that would become a problem since you can’t control them and in most instanced fight it could be a big problem (so you wouldn’t use them like necromencer don’t use them and ranger has is problem with the pet).
on the other end i wish they were just skill with short cooldown and a more powerful one skill one use effect. still leave us the clones for the shatters.
but i think this will never happen. mesmer will never be balanced or reworked or anything.
it’s been 4 years now and all we have seen is nerf and illusionary (isn’t it ironic?) buffs!

every single match against a thief i have played i saw thief on his far. the thief will always go on far and lose to the dragon hunter who goes there instead of the mesmer

l2p, iv played mes exclusively for 3 years

average application of a duelist is as follows BCO with haste
8 attacks 50% traited 4 bleeds + 50% vipers+fury 4 bleeds for total average 8 bleeds per 6.5 secs

with 3 of these up, you don’t really do more dps as clones can and will stack higher
also when you loose a clone you have no issue replacing it, loose a duelist? change target? need to shatter? and everything goes fubar.

i duelist, its not bad but it doesn’t really offer you more damage, it does grant you a better burst, keep in mind you throw 3 I’d’s you require to use both CS and healing signet. so no 90sec or double warp there, no 90sec or 1mins worth of take root, and 1mins worth of take root is a lot of dmg in vipers.

you also loose the ability burst your shatter conf+torment when clone/phanto skills are up for roughly 12 torment and 16 confusion that only costs you roughly 3 secs of a full staff clones.

iD builds drop to a halt if you want to use the Mesmer to its full ability and if u gotta do everything mes has to offer to be remotely useful atm as all mes will agree.

but hey if you wanna make 3 average phantos and use AA while forgetting all the ways to maximize the little we have i really gotta l2p.

fyi its a meta build because its a low skill high reward, you can pick it up and do it. meta isn’t best, its most common.

i play mesmer since the very beginning of the game, it’s not a l2p issue, the necromancer with full cavalier still did better damage than me. i know every single mechanic of the mesmer, plus boss don’t even target me so i have all the time to think what i have to do.

i know it’s hard to accept when you invested all this time with one class, but it’s undeniably true, mesmer is one of the lowest dps in game or even average dps with a lot of efforts and condition to be met.
of course i don’t play the mesmer to outshine an ele in raw dps but for alacrity botting and double timewarp slavery. and that is all they want from you as a mesmer these days.

i also play other classes, and it’s stupid to deny that there is no difference.
for example a necro can have even more minions than mesmer and they all do damage and siphon health if you want, while mesmer clones don’t do damage, they are mostly there for shatters and they die when you look bad at them.
same goes with engi turrets. so why can’t mesmer clones and phantasms can’t be the same?
one can arguably say that they can be shattered for a “burst” damage, but so can turrets and minions…

there are a lot of legal dps meter out there, i tried it once in the raid, my viper mesmer dps (full sinister trinkets and full rune of perplexity, plus condi food and utility) was only best than the full healer druid (slightly best). first dps in the raid was berserker staff ele.
numbers don’t lie. i have an identity crisis since. i always thought the low dps was just perceived as it takes a lot of effort for a mesmer to reach it’s full potential in a boss fight, but than i realized kitten dps is the ugly truth.
sure alacrity and shared quickness helped everybody else!

there is another explanation for bags of loot in the game. there weren’t that many bags at the beginning, but as the normal loot table is affected by magic find, this doesn’t apply to the loot table from a bag or a chest.
when arenanet decided we deserved an account bound magic find instead of it being a stat you can equip with gear in the game, they also decided to turn most of the loot to chests or bags. so yes magic find is still there as a relic of the older way but pretty much worthless because the rarity you get is in form of a bag. at this point as other people already said i would prefer directly the silver instead of going to the process of selling everything to the vendor or salvage for silk and wood. but this will not happen either since there is the account gold find increase.

i still like running dungeon as they are a diversion from the usual 3 swamps in fractal for better loot. and honestly it’s a shame, i would like an alternative to fractals from time to time. in my opinion there was no need to nerf dungeon reward. there should be plenty of content for everybody in an healthy game, not tube in map where the loot is best per hour

usually those runes are not crafting ingridients. what you can do with them is:

1 put 4 in the mystic forge for a chance to get 1 of 1 tier higher level (4 green for a chance of 1 yellow or 4 yellow for a chance of 1 orange).
most people do that because if you are lucky you can get some very expensive rune that you need or may want to sell in the trading post.
2 sell them (either to vendor if they are cheap on tp or in tp if they have some value)
3 use them if you need in armors or weapons.
4 search the wiki for specific mystic forge recipe where you can use them and turn them in something else entirely (ie rune of the nights are often used in combination with other ingridients to craft weapons with thematic skins)

also it’s blu rarity…

i support this, although if truth be told i wouldn’t spend money on appearence slots since i can change skins for free although i don’t spend money on charges too so i may not be a good example for this.
but yes, free changes of costumes always win for me

it is now a while i have this 5 shared slots. i love them, they were worth the price.
i use them for copper fed salvage o’matic, mystic salvage kit and keys t open chests in the new maps.
although when you loot new keys they don’t stack with the ones in the shared slot. is it possible to implement an option to automatically stack them?
also 5 are so not enough for me. i wish it would be an entire bag shared slot in order to put there food and boosts and various other things like ascended gears

honestly though how many mass production recipes do you use?

i personally liked the on death mechanic, i was using it in my condition build in pve and it was very useful alongside the phamtasm on the staff. also the condition from death if i remember correctly weren’t even damaging, i remember some random condition between vulnerability, weakness and cripple. but i could remember incorrectly.
ove the course of the years all i noticed anyway was a considerably reduction in damage and general viability on the mesmer, while we remained as squishy as ever if not playing with focused attention.
we were required in any party before, the more the better, now 2 mesmer in a raid are 2 too many if one of those is not tanking. and that saddens me because mesmer is the class where i invested most of my time, gold, ascended and legendary. i simply cannot that easily go play another class, but i find myself relieved when i can play content with my druid for example because i can do so in the new maps without fear of instant death.
what i would like for the mesmers would be a possibility to build for a more sustained dps or condidps without relying too much on clones or phantasms.
i mean all of us love our clones and phantasms, we can be narcisistic that way, but those should be one delayed hit skills that you should be able to shatter without second thoughts. it’s not acceptable that we have to build 3 phantasms to have more or less the same damage some class can perform by auto attacking, especially in the new maps that illusions can die before you press the dreaded f1.
and have something for conditions, we have only 2 reliable conditions which are torment and confusion and both of them are useless in pve but even in pvp they are not that strong and easily removed meanwhile building them is not that easy as a dodge roll.

i used to be an half decent mesmer in pvp before hot, than i was the free kill for all because i didn’t get the point to be bunker and mesmer instead of damage and mesmer, and now i’ll still be the free kill for all because i was to late in jumping the bunker wagon (that any class was/is using anyway but only mesmers got punished for it).
and yet on a pure dps druids i can kill and survive more while just spamming buttons at random hoping something happens while with the mesmer i have to carefully plan a rotation for accomplishing nothing

i never stopped shattering for condition before and after hot and i never complained about the lack of real damage or viable condition damage because utility, and after hot the mesmer became even a greater supporter increasing everyone effectiveness with quickness, boon sharing and alacrity. i accepted as a compromise i could never be left alone in hot maps if i wanted to survive and do some decent damage on my own and used a bunker build only for gorseval (mainly because so much dps is needed that mesmers or chrono were useless if not fulfilling the tanking role and let everyone else do the real damage).
and now? now we are mediocre again i feel like if i want to build a condition build the chrono trait line is a waste of slot now, if i want to build for phantasm same, if i want to build for power shatter meh. and this only because somebody who enjoyed the alacrity as ally in pve cried a lot while against in pvp as it was always done with the mesmer we again are the escape goat so everybody can live happy ever after.
also the mesmer class is the only class everytime a big class balance arrive that you have to reset your whole build and start over again from what is left because previous version became crap. and i never used a metabuild in my life actually.
i also have a ranger and the first time i had to change his build was when the trait line was reworked before hot and after to make him a druid… that says a lot about how they balance classes!
i read all other classes forum and there are not all of this outcry and rage quittings although i’m sure that all of our rant are just perceived as mesmers being just the usual drama queens

i bought 5 slots, but i honestly think they are very expensive, also 5 slots are not enough, but i can’t spend more money on those slots even if i want more.
it is a very QOL improvement for me.
on a technical side, loot in the shared slot won’t stack, so if i put keys in there and loot more keys the will be putted in my normal inventory instead of stacking, could you please fix this?
also a 20 slot shared inventory would be awesome for all the boosters and key, it would make use alts so much easier

also black desert is pretty and everything but is grindy as hell and classes are gender locked. so they open up a world but then limit your choices in the most basic of every mmo features, character creation and class selection

although there are so many games with different races and sizes and they are still able to sit.

you have to defeat the first boss to unlock the mastery to unlock the legendary armor.
it is true that you can get the currency even if you fail. but at least the first boss is the wall you have to break to even consider the possibility of a legendary armor.
i’m fine with the raid mechanics and the number of players required, although it is unforgiving:
- if 1 player make 1 mistake you wipe.
- you need specific roles to complete it, and it’s ok, but it is not fair if those roles can only be filled by some classes better than others.

i would be fine if any class could fulfill any role instead of having mandatory classes in the raids and if you haven’t ever played that class or not interested to, you are forced now to do so just because you picked the wrong class at the beginning

hello.
the attuned infused rings allow you to put one versatile +5 or +7 infusion in one slot (you can buy those in fractals).
the other to slots are for those very globs you are talking about.
if you have an artificer profession, you can combine 2 +1 agony infusion with 1 thermocatalytic reagent to become +2 agony infusion and so on.
only thing you need is 2 agony infusion of the same level plus the catalyst to increase 1 level.
it takes time and is exponentially expensive to craft it, but you can potentially cover the 150 agony resistance required for level 100 just with trinkets and rings

i personally didn’t like it even before. it is huge and basically another pair of wings… we will eventually all have it for the utility of changing the stats at will and we will all look the same. why can’t be just an aura, maybe dieble or an effect the will be added to a skin you chose for it. why another pair of wings pointing up never the less?
