I have not seen the two people fighting two different champions thing. But I have seen one person fighting Liadri while another was outside casting inside the dome.

In another thread someone posted a screen of two people from the same guild fighting one Liadri.

What is Anet’s stance on being in a party while doing the queens gauntlet?

There are several things happening right now due to being in a group which I would consider an exploit.

1. People are using the party targeting system to always know which Liadri to attack.

2. People are able to bring in a 2nd person, perhaps more into the dome to fight Liadri and other Champions.

It’s my opinion that you should be able to be in a party while attempting to complete the gauntlet.

2 Guys in the same arena figthing Liadri at same time. And both, of same guild. I’ve sayed they I would report, and he called me idiot and some other things. Then.. I reported twice, one for cheat, other for agressive verbal abuse.

Which is why I think that being able to be in a party while entering should be considered an exploit.

So in other words you want Anet so specifically set all prices for every item? Anet controls prices way to much as it is.

If you are not good with economics don’t try playing the TP, you are going to lose…and it appears you are losing.

Either be patient or make gold another way.

might as well say asking for a couple guardians to empower you is exploiting.

It’s a solo “dungeon” meant for…you guessed it, being solo. You should not be able to use party functions in there. Empower does not follow you into the dome.

No you didn’t cheat, although when I play my Mesmer I always feel like I am cheating since everything is pretty much facepalm easy.

Are you still into GW2 like you were when it lauched? Or as much into it as you first started playing?

I was going to farm him but found is teleports were random, some fights he just stood there and took it, other times he teleported 3 times within the first few seconds. There are easier things to farm.

From my understanding, you can’t used Ranged attacks (bow, pistol, rifle) to kill the orbs.

Well you can’t use direct ranged attacks, but you can plant ranged attacks…in my case (Guardian), I can plant scepter 2 or staff 3 on it to kill orbs. Staff 1 also never misses. I never try an melee them.

This is my problem with content like this. It divides people into the two groups pretty much, with a very small 3rd group.

Groups one and two are the “This is really hard I may not be able to do this” and the “You don’t deserve this/Get better at playing”.

Then there is the very small 3rd group who will actually take the time to give pointers and advice.

This kind of content really lets people show their true colors and creates more divides.

Why only a solo gauntlet? Chances are the people playing the game came from another MMO where group content is the core of the game. Why create a challenge the only caters to the VERY few people who have nothing better to do then figure out how to solo Arah or Fractals? Just a couple examples.

Why not also have a group oriented gauntlet?

Now this is not a complaining response. I have not beat Liadri yet, have only tried 3 or 4 times, but I plan to continue til I beat her…I just want to know why Anet would go through all this trouble to cater to a VERY few when they could have made this just as challenging aimed at groups…

All you really have to do is keep moving. Range it to be safe. Do that and its dead every time.

These buggy areas are bull crap. I want Queen’s Gauntlet Tickets reimbursed. Either that, or turn them off completely.

There’s no reason why I should instantly lose 6 tickets because the event is buggy. 5 gambits plus the entrance.

Several times, I’ve been forced to drop out of the bottom of the cage, because the player before me took too long. I get warped into the cage before the floor resets. They lost…..so I don’t even get a chance?

Not to mention the queue bug that forces you to lose the tickets because you aren’t allowed to actually join.

Why? It’s simple, really. GW2 is not farming friendly, and it punishes us for farming, honest farming. Prices on some Pre’s are outrageously high, and even more so since it’s almost impossible to farm in this game without Anet using the infamous Nerf gun to cripple our efforts.

I’m not saying that pre’s should be 100g, or even 200g, but having them 500+ is a bit too far.

Especially since the journey to getting a Legendary is already one long, agonizing journey with the amount of hardcore RNG+DR, getting those mats would take forever.

I’m not sure if people who have 2+ Legendaries simply got super lucky at the Forge, or chests? Or they actually spent $500+ to convert to gold and just buy out everything needed.

1. Precursors that don’t sell are overpriced. Precursors that do sell are not as evidenced by the fact that someone bought them.

2. If someone lists a Precursor at 500 gold and gets it, then it isn’t too far.

3. The Mystic Forge is your best chance at getting a Precursor. Farming is subject to DR while the Forge is not. If you want a specific Pre, here is the process:
A. Check the cost to buy the materials to make an exotic weapon of the same type.
B. Check the cost to buy the materials to make a rare weapon of the same type and multiply by 5.
C. Check the cost of the cheapest rares and exotic weapons of the same type on the TP.
D. Determine which of the above (A-C) is the cheapest route.
E. Use the cheapest route to acquire weapons to throw into the MF.

To add to this – no one should be blaming the game for Precursor prices, since it’s we players who set them. Midnattsol should be blaming us instead.

We actually don’t set anything…Anet controls all prices through drop rates.

I am just worried about the possible Skynet take over of Tyria using these Watchknights.

I am having the exact same problem with my Norn Guardian. I have even let myself get killed to see if I can actually see them coming, but I simply see no indicator.

Okay, so it makes sense that engineers actually can keep DPS up while running from Laidri, but what on earth does other professions do here?

Right! I hate this also! I start my WW on my Guardian and some noob Mesmer aoe scatters all the mobs! Drives me nuts!

Sell it back now! These high prices will not last forever!

I get where everyone is coming from on both sides. No you shouldn’t be able to face tank the boss. At the same time combat should not cheap dodge ball mechanic.

The only challenge is finding the right stats to choose? Is this the challenge people wanted? With a 2 minute limit it is blatantly obvious they wanted us to use Zerk gear, that is plain lazy game design as Zerk gear is already the norm for all other PvE.

Mesmer here, I agree it’s too expensive. 50s or less and it would actually be used. charged core instead? or have it have 5 or 10 charges instead of 2.
my reason is that a lot of classes have faily unique skills that are bypassed by utility items:
some classes have leap skills, there’s teleport gun to replace that (32c)
stealth? spy kit (28 karma for 10s stationary or 16c for 3s of able to move)
pets? many, ogre pet whistle for one (1s4c for 5 min of pet)
and now portal? watchwork portal (1.5g!!!)

the only way they could justify 1.5g was if it did something the mesmer portal doesn’t, such as last for 60 seconds once connected or unlimited range (within the same area).

It’s actually more like 5g once you consider all the mats it takes to craft it.

This item would make a Mesmer having portal on their own utility bar useless. Not only would other classes gain a unique class ability, but it would also be so good that even the class with the actual ability would shelve that utility and never use it again, as they would simply use the item, freeing up another utility slot.

How about we get a plethora of click-ables that replace every utility? Then we don’t even need the utility bar, or specific classes, we can just play any class we want with an open inventory clicking all of our skills. Sounds like an absolutely boring and tedious way to play.

If you want a Mesmer skill, bring a long a Mesmer, or pay your arm and a leg for this item.

I already consider having portal on my utility bar useless…so again, I would not have a problem with a permanent portal being in game.

But to your post…yes…5g for a 10s portal is beyond ridiculous.

At least people can shut up now. I keep telling people nerfing just cof don’t matter. You can speed run other dungeon similarly to cof. Only way to stop people from doing it is diminishing return. Which Anet is adding next patch.

You are going to get a broad range of answers. If your time is limited stick with CoF path 1 & 2. In a “ok” group you are looking at about 30-45 minutes total for both paths combined.

Yeah, no real facts here and experiences seem to differ from person to person. For me, it seems at times it kicks in about 10m, could be RNG hating me, sometimes its more like 30m and I can’t seem to shake it off most of the times.
