Here you can determine if it is actually the servers or not. Most likely it is not or you’d see Reddit and the forums blowing up. Actually it’s hard to post or do anything on the forums when the servers are having issues. Anyway follow the instructions there and you can figure out where your connection is having issues.
Also this is more of a bug/technical issue. It will probably get moved over there.

You can get 4 a day. One from each zone. I tested this last night. On my third try I got the one to unlock on the collection I wanted.
Same. To be more specific it says I don’t have enough energy for it. Even when at 100%.

If it’s already been identified then they may not need more information. Most likely they already know what’s going on but that doesn’t mean a couple clicks and it’s fixed. It seems like they already know what the bug is and what it does so more info isn’t needed.
It’s your healing skill. You’re probably looking at utilities.
You can’t expect them to fix bugs that quickly. Wait a week then post again. Don’t get your hopes up tho.
Here’s the thing about the word exploit. What determines an exploit varies from person to person. An exact definition that will cover every situation is impossible. But for the most part people can agree on certain conditions. One of these conditions is a Dev saying it’s not an exploit. So yeah.

It’s bad. Unfortunately it’s the only reason to bother with 75-100. I was doing them and got tired of it. That and my AR is 146. I can’t bring myself to shell out hundred of gold just to do higher tiers that don’t give me anything I want. And they look so ugly in my opinion. I hope some people like them tho…. Such a shame.

It took like 4 months for them to fix this after they messed it up the last time. Then they still hadn’t fixed it completely. And it took another 3 months or so to fix it again. So I wouldn’t expect anything too soon. Just saying.
People who want to make the same legendary for themselves twice are the minority at this point because of wardrobe. So I doubt there will be a way to make more than one. Just re skin it with ascended.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel we could really use individualized sections for each expansion map OR at least a HoT LFG section in the LFG tool. Im looking right now and there’s about 40ish posts. Try scanning those as new ones are being added and others are being filled. It messes with my eyes.
It was REALLY bad at Halloween with all the Halloween events being posted plus the meta events and often people post for hero points as well. That plus the regular open world type things like Orr temples. On average I would guess there 60+ posts at prime time with Halloween.
If you’re looking for one specific thing in Open World it can be quite daunting to find it on the current LFG section set up.
So what do you think? More subdivision for Open world LFG section? And if so should it be:
1) HoT Open world and Open World.
2) All the new maps get their own section
At launch this was fine. Then they made things easier and yes this got mixed up. The HP in VB near the WP to Auric Basin and another are switched. The other one is near the center of the map and will show as completed tho it isn’t. It’s the one at noble ledges where you start going up the path at the waypoint and jump out in the vine when you’re about halfway up the path. It’s now a channeling Hp super easy. It was basically swapped with the other one but the map wasn’t updated.
I don’t think they were ever 1000 gems. You can check dulfy if you want to prove me wrong but I bought them and I’m certain I didn’t spend more than 800 gems on them

If you did a 20 and your personal reward level was 20 then it should go up to 21. If you are stuck on 20 then you have some type of bug. Doing a 21 won’t fix that. But I think there would be a lot more posts about this if it was a bug. So that’s why people are repeating themselves. So you are certain you weren’t 19, did a 20, and now your reward level is 20, and you haven’t since done a fractal at 20?
I ended up just getting it off the tp. Seems cheaper anyway. Which stinks because even if it would take more time, and about the same amount of gold investment I would do it anyway because it seems kind of fun to me anyway. Except I don’t want to what around for scribe. Purchased it for 450 gold.
To bad this forum got merged and moved to the bug section where it will eventually be buried because back when I created my version on the gw2 main forum section it had almost 15k views before it got merged.
On another note it’s not like the devs haven’t seen it/read it due to all the changes they have made I guess they’re just not in a place to comment.I know that some of them are not allowed to comment and the higher ups aren’t saying anything just yet.
I’m not sure what you mean by “just yet”. The thing is this issue is so old. No offense or anything but if they were going to say something or do something about this, I think they would have done something by now.

It’s a Mesmer thing when channeling mantra of distraction. But yes a bug. Reported a couple times now but no Dev attention as of yet.
But I need to know did Chris Use the flame thrower in the server room? I think you guys need some fire extinguishers. Check on the servers and hire some minions because you are going to need some serious “beedo beedo beedo” to fix this.

Server transfers are almost always free at the launch of a game. I’ve played 3 other MMOs at launch and this was always the case. Then they cost gems/monetary currency after that. Welcome (back) to MMOs.
If you take some time to think this through….
Free server transfers would be awful for WvW. People wanting an easy win or the bonuses that come with being in the lead would just transfer to the winning team.

Anthology of villains for the flame seeker prophecies (shield) is supposedly craft able by weapon smith. However it actually isn’t. And scribe is hard to obtain anytime soon with it being gated behind guilds.
You can’t even start the first tier. All you can do is purchase the first tier recipe item.
The hall of monuments portal stone. I’m not sure if this still happens but when you get them the only way to delete them had been to type out the entire name one at a time. It’s really annoying. You could fill his inventory with them lol. The vendor was in the cave in north lions arch. It costs nothing to buy them.

They don’t show up because they are older or perhaps because they were at some point equppied at some point. It’s not because of using the extraction tho. I had no issues using rings that j had never equipped and were probably less than 3 months old.

Was there any Dev response somewhere on this like Reddit. I’m not so sure it won’t be nerfed/ deemed exploitive.
I grinded the hard way to get all these before release. And I’m at 12/19 with all skins unlocked. I tried several different tactics to try and get them to unlock but to no go. I have lots of spare skins around so I tried using those, throwing them out, using them and throwing the item out… Nothing is working.
It seems to me the ones I am “missing” are mostly skins I got in the past 9 months or so.
It’s always been this way. It’s best to just auto attack it as those count as separate hits. It’s like this with any other skill as well.
OP post sounds a bit over emotional to me. Also it’s fractals. Sorry that bothered me a little. But combating negativity with even more negativity doesn’t work. It just makes people even more negative.
I did save a ton of points by not going into the two lines I never use on Mesmer in PvE. But you have to Unlock them in order to unlock the spec
I have been having this error for 2 days now. I’ve contacted them but I know their busy with the expansion coming up so I don’t mind waiting. Sad thing Is I’m full on character slots and need the gems to buy them up for tomorrow so I may just have to wait until they get back with me on the Issue and skip playing the new profession tomorrow.

World choice only matters for Wvw. If you don’t Wvw then don’t worry because we have mega servers now. I think yaks bend is a lower tier server for Wvw which has it pros and cons. Like less zerging and more roaming or just a dead map. So if you zone in at anytime you will be placed with primarily guild/friend list players then yaks bend people.

Yeah this does seem odd to me. To be honest I stored my CC like 2 or 3 times and it keeps disappearing. Here is a thread with a Gaile response from a year ago… Unfortunately it’s not resolved…. You could try necro’ing it.

A lot of credit card companies will see multiple charges from Anet as fraudulent charges when they are done repeatedly and for so much money. Also there is a a limit to how many gems you can buy per hour. I think it maxes at 100$ per hour or something like that or you get the error as well.

Actually I had this bug commented in guild chat 1 week ago, might be useful for you to reproduce it Lauren.
- It appears that a mesmer used invisibility/blink to skip a certain part after the cage. That prevented the next stage to get triggered.
Sorry that I can’t give you more details. I think they filled a report /bug though, so you might just find it on your logs.
What character name did you submit it on? The DB with the /bugs is quite… large… and this will make it easier for me to find it.
Your mesmer probably blinked past a tripwire, or that sounds like the likely scenario.
I’m guessing the trip wire is the exit door that opens. It could be possible to fall down through the center where the gears are turning, and skip going through that exit door by walking up the scaffolding/blinking up the scaffolding. If the trip wire is right past the door you could blink up the scaffolding before triggering it.
This doesn’t seem hard to avoid but it’s just something you have to remember to not do, such as with the weapons testing facility and waiting for Rox and Braham.
And with pugs who may or may not listen can make stuff like this more challenging.
I used to blink in there all the time. It has seemed better tho for me the past 5 months or so I haven’t had an issue there where it was about twice a month I’d get stuck in there. Maybe it got broken again or you were just really unlucky.

So those sorts of topics do get a lot of salty responses. People are apparently not playing the game right or they are angry drunks lol. I read it. And it’s well written. Hopefully this will help, But you have to realize players come from all different backgrounds in this game. There will still be posts about Mesmer being OP because someone played 5 hot joins and kept dying to the Mesmer. But thanks for writing this hopefully some people will inform themselves.
No we had no disconnects or chat problems. The fractal just didn’t progress after we finished the final boss.
It was really strange. We did nothing different than any other raid, we did ooze and the laser stuff (not fire).
I just mentioned our bug if there is something that stops progressing fractals that might not be connected to the UI, our UI seemed fine.
Also there shouldn’t be a cutscene at the end of that boss. All that happens is a short npc interaction but it doesn’t actually put you in a cutscene at all during that boss.
You do. You have the cutscene where the thaumanova reactor shakes and ‘explodes’, then you have the rubble on the ground after the boss is dead.
Sorry I read that wrong and for some reason was thinking Mai Trin. Anyway there had been a bug where it didn’t teleport you to the room with the large chest. That was resolved but maybe it’s back.
Yesterday we had a major bug in scarlets fractal. It was our 3rd (1st was underwater, 2nd was hammer). We finished our two trials and killed the boss. We saw the short cut-scene video and then… nothing.
We recieved no chest and we couldn’t proceed to the 4th fractal. After we tried 15min to somehow get past the bug we all left.. without loot and without the 4th fractal reward. Sucked quite a bit.
Was your party chat lagging or not working at all? There was a problem last night with the UI, a couple reports of party issues which also affects dungeon/fractal runs. Also there shouldn’t be a cutscene at the end of that boss. All that happens is a short npc interaction but it doesn’t actually put you in a cutscene at all during that boss.
Also regarding OP, yeah this is the first time I have ever heard of this issue. My only guess is maybe someone was blinking or shadow stepping up the scaffolding? Idk how that would buy it but maybe….
