Maybe they are messing with the party UI again for raids/commanders. The same thing happened to me when they did that back in beta3. Either way that server or whatever is crashing if that’s happening to you.
My main is an older character, so perhaps it doesn’t look as appropriate for young whippersnappers, but I’d be displeased if they changed it after three years. Anytime you rock the boat like that, you risk upsetting people.
I’m okay for keeping it how it is as long as:
1) sometimes we spin the staff like around our head for idle animation fun times
2) they change the angle a bit so it doesn’t clip into like 80% of light armor legs.
3) some times you randomly fall over since the stance is about the worst thing you could do in actual combat. Enemies could so easily knock you over. Not an actual knock down but you fall on your face, laugh a little, and never interrupt skills.
Right now it’s too early to put in extra luck sinks or increase the magic find cap. Those who have hit the cap already are probably only a small percent of the population. It’s not going to be until a sizable percent of the vets have hit the cap that this will be addressed. There is really not much point in the devs spending time to change the system if only a small percent is affected by it. After enough have hit the cap and have luck sitting in inventories, then you’ll see them adding something like a luck eater or new recipes.
Yeah I agree. However if the sink item ate your luck without you having to upcraft it and click it over and over. I honestly would use it fairly often. I’m at 210 and never did the salvage ecto thing. I know it gets really slow now so no idea how much longer it will take me to get to 300 but my guess would be about 2 years.
Creating mawdry isn’t a sink. That’s like saying creating ascended armor is a sink for bloodstone dust. You make mawdry once. You make ascended maybe a few times but your sole purpose for making ascended is not to get rid of excess resources. Now lucky Rams were meant to be a sink but its rather temporary. Eventually when more people hit 300 that won’t be a viable option anymore.
Here is an argument for why there should be a luck sink.
Currently everything in game that drops has some sort of purpose. There is always some type of sink for items that eventually you gather too much of. Fractal relics, karma, bloodstone dust etc. They all have a sink you can spend them on. While the reward isn’t that great, certainly not as great as using the “resource” for its intended purpose, at least there is still something to do with these drops after you have already used the resource for its intended purpose exhaustively.
And yes even junk items have a purpose. They can be used for a collection then sold. Some junk items are even worth a bit of gold.

If Anet fixes this people will learn to just login on a different character on wipe/near wipe. I do this all the time on Mai and arch diviner. You don’t even need ar to save the progress but it helps if you actually want to then contribute. I doubt they will be changing that but I could be wrong. I don’t have a problem with fractals myself after doing 1000+ runs but I always go with pugs so I’ve carried plenty.
Oh my gosh so that is why my GS 5 is not working right. I thought I was going crazy or something. Yeah it only works ha out half the time. It still knocks down but the knock back is like 100 feet maybe.
It’s easy enough to tell you are in combat by looking at your skill bar and how it’s locked and has some type of way effect around it (a yello haze). Then you know you should be running slower.
It’s a very old living story event where you had to race from one point to another to get I believe the flames of kyrta. It’s been reported like every other month on the forum so I’m sure it’s been noticed. But they aren’t too worried about it.
You have to use brighter dyes in order to really see the glow. If you go with a darker dye it won’t glow in some cases or be so faint that you can’t really tell if it is or not. So when testing it use a lighter dye anyway.

I think you might be over analyzing because seeing 5+ a day is rather unlikely. From what I’ve seen botting isn’t a major issue because Anet took away most of the ways that would make botting profitable. Hacking and most likely trading post flipping is another story. But I have no idea how you would be seeing 5+ botters a day.
Also sometimes people auto run then afk so they end up in a wall somewhere. People do this sometimes on purpose but either way I don’t know that I would call that botting. And even if Anet knew the person was doing this, I highly doubt they would take any action.
Depending on the armor you choose it will be different. Are you asking about armor colors or slyvari colors? All armor has different shades of colors even if it is similar in type. For example the slyvari cultural armor between T1 and T3, although they are both leaf like the T1 dyes slightly darker than T3. It’s annoying especially when armor you think should dye similarly such as cultural armor, does not. Btw if you are going with slyvari cultural armor you should test it out first. The color of your slyvari bleeds into your armor color, especially around the belly/waist. It can make really cool combinations but can be tricky to pull off.

To all the people saying this can’t work, I’d like to direct your attention to Final Fantasy XIV. Works, runs, plays, perfectly. It’s also cross-platform.
Edit: And if you think this game has “too many skills” to work on a gamepad, you should see the enormity of skills in that game.
The combat is completely different. It’s slower in ffxiv. Also you don’t use all your skills even tho you have a lot. You’re rotation mostly includes the same skills over and over. A lot of people even macro skills together in the rotation. But that won’t work in gw2 especially in pvp where you need to switch up your rotation frequently based on the other player’s actions.
This was one of the things SE did so well with ff11 and ffARR. I always loved doing the quests for the jobs and getting really neat looking armor. Then later getting an HQ version in something like a raid or endgame content and it looked even cooler.
Have they fixed the glitch when you can zip through the dorm room in Thaumanova and get the cooling rod without the need to rescue the Inquests?
This is not a bug but some lazy workaround. In higher levels you have to complete all 4 rooms of thaumanova for beeing able to fight the endboss. If you fail the prisoner-room however, it would no longer be possible to finish the fractal.
In lower levels, the door to the cooling rod is not yet open, and if you fail the event then you cannot longer complete it. This won’t stop progress, because you dont have to clear all 4 rooms in lower levels anyway.
I hope they remove this workaround with fractal rework. It will become first pve instance with legit failure state.
You do not get boss debuff if you skip all the rooms. You need to save two of the guys for the debuff
In pvp if I am near a male ranger slyvari as a male slyvari myself, he will say something like “come here” to his pet when he is dead. Also when the ranger himself had low health I said “need help over here”.
Invisible fire fields in molten (no red circle)
Cliff side: harpies are no longer invulnerable from the ground if you have other party memebers near/attacking them. So an ele can kill them from the ground rather easily.
Cliff side: if you wipe once the chanters will reset but they will have a much longer “leash” and chase you through the hall. This is an issue as you end up killing the “targeted” on you don’t want to kill because it makes a lot spawn.
My guess is it’s only certain lines from certain races and genders. So if it happens and you can remember exactly what it was try to post. If we can find a pattern to the problem then that gives devs a direction to go in. But as it stands now it’s too random to replicate and fix.
I just destroy all that useless inventory/storage hogging crap since we can’t AT LEAST salvage the crap.

Sorry, but, for me, it’s too little, too late. Been here since BETA, been begged for ability to salvage crap like those rings and ignored until now, that’s just insulting, sorry again, just my feelings on it.
So you ignore the fact that you will need them for legendaries based on principle? Gotta admire that.
It’s not like they are hard to get tho. I have like 30,000 relics and 1000 pristine relics so idk how many rings that gets me but enough I’m sure. Most people that are avid fractal goers have about this much too I’d assume. Tho I did make two legendaries with skill points from relics so I burnt through some that way. Plus one of my hands fell off from all the clicking.
I only noticed this three times in like 20 hours or so of play. Not as bad as it had been but still weird and annoying when it happens. It’s just odd it isn’t more consistent. I don’t do Wvw tho so maybe if it more consistent there that could point to the source of the issue.
I did check my bank and I’m familiar with the changes to the costume/outfit system. What I’m missing are pretty much my five 20-slot boxes, all musical instruments, and various gem store toy items. I’ve already changed my password. I’ll get on the authentication today. Thanks for the advice!
I feel like those things would not have been a priority if your account was hacked. Like why would they bother with instruments which are account bound? Same with the other gem store items. But yeah authenticator is great.
I really think some kind of compensation is in order for the amount of time and resources it took to make this legendary and the lack of attention we’ve received. I’ve actully spent money in the gem store. Maybe that’s the only thing they will understand. Perhaps we should all agree to boycott the gem store until they at least give us an answer. Ask all your friends and guildmates to consider doing the same.
This is what we want:
1 Night time effects back
2 Better sound
3 mist effects + footprints to work all the time
4 the wolf more prominent and not hidden by skill effects.
Seems ANET is acting like every other company where money is the bottom line so a boycott might be the only thing they hear. Personally not to sound elitist but people who make Legendaries need a special forum as I’ve noticed other complaining about theirs. To make a legendary weapon you need to be dedicated to the game at an above average level so why kitten on the people who are your most dedicated? That’s bad business.
Boycotting wouldn’t work. It’s not a big enough issue for everyone to boycott and as soon as they put something new and cool in the gem store people will buy it. I mean you can try but the odds of that actually working are lower than the odds of getting a Dev response to this thread. At least in my opinion anyway. But I don’t want to fully discourage you from trying. Besides the forums/Reddit there is no effective way to get this issue addressed. And since the forums are going ignored …. :-/
The wiki doesn’t say anything about a specific order of doing things to unlock the center. The only ‘order’ mentioned is the list of where to find the NPCs, which is the order I picked them up in.
Dulfy’s guide is focused on getting the achievements, with no mention of how to open the center. I’m trying to complete it for the first time.
Yeah sorry I was thinking of the achievements. there has been a pretty large resurgence of doing these missions with HoT and returning players so I would expect someone else to post about it if it was happening to everyone. Maybe try again? If not tho you should open a support ticket.
There is a certain order you have to follow I think. though maybe you are doing that idk. It’s hard to tell from your picture and I don’t remember the order anyway but you could wiki it or dulfy has a guide.
Since you’re returning I got to ask… Did you check your bank? Otherwise maybe you deleted a character that had those things on them. The only thing you may be missing is costume items or town clothing items which has a new system and those items can be redeemed from a merchant for free.
