After scrubbing through the video, you’re correct — the warhorn animation takes exactly 1.35s. There are numbers like these that make things like activation time and cooldown time seem meaningless — and if it’s the case that all skills begin their cooldown after the animation (and not the activation time, which is what it should be), that is an incredibly bad design choice.
I’m still leaving my ticket in review, but updating the information. It’s absolutely unbelievable that the cooldown doesn’t start until my character has blown the horn, and finished moving his arm away from his mouth and back to the ready position again.
Again, the bad design behind this is astounding. I wonder if anyone actually knows how long their skills are taking to fully cool down vs. any time benefit they’re getting?
“It comes from the game” is perhaps the worst answer I’ve ever heard. There isn’t even any data regarding this, and any searches I’ve done for “after cast” or “after casting” take me to the Guild Wars 1 wiki. If this is intended, then I’d like to know. I’m sure a lot of players would. If it’s not, then it should be fixed.
Dropping my ticket # into the post-3 day review thread.
Curious, but where does that 1.35s (After cast) come from? Is there some data I’m missing here, where cooldown does not begin until 1.35s after cast? If so, that is terribly misleading; nowhere in the game do I see any indication that if I have a skill with a 12 second cooldown, and it applies a 12 second boon, that there will be a gap of 1.35s where that boon cannot be activated again.
The wiki on this doesn’t offer any help, checking both the casting time and recharge pages. Where does the 1.35s come from?
They already do something like this for ram mastery, where ram masters have a little buff on their bar when they’re using a ram. That’s how I check whether or not I need to kick someone off.
If they added a small number to indicate level of mastery and extended it to other types of siege, it’d be pretty useful, and I can’t imagine it being that difficult to implement.
You mean the Iron Hide buff, which is only the first tick in Ram Mastery. This doesn’t tell you if they can apply structural vulnerability or have increased ram speed or the last two relatively useless buffs (although the shared iron hide is nice if you build, say, an arrow cart next to the ram to counter siege on whatever you’re ramming).
I’ll do some more research today. It’ll be easy to tell if I’m scrubbing through a video. I’m willing to bet I end up with the same results.
Bumped. There is video and picture evidence in my original post, numerical evidence and observations, even easy steps on how to reproduce. I’m doing your QA team a favor by doing their job. This is still bugged, and it still needs to be fixed.
I’ve rolled about 30 camps in the last 2 days at least, and I haven’t noticed any difference.
Unconfirmed.

Everything else is pretty much the same.
…and are you sure that someone didn’t order an upgrade that finished right when you were killing the guards? Sometimes it helps to kill the QM right away.
The loss of aggro and insta-reset happens all the time. Sometimes I can stand right in front of the supervisor after all the guards are dead and he won’t even react to me. I’m just used to it.
edit: the blinds from the scouts are annoying, and if you’re talking about pulls then it’s at least on its 3rd upgrade, so it should be more difficult to solo. Blinds? Learn to prevent conditions/cleanse. Pulls? Stability. I run a superior sigil of generosity on my main damage dealing set simply for the reason that it not only gives me an extra way to cleanse, it transfers the condition right back to them. I’ve also noticed that when the transfer occurs (on my War, at least) I’ll gain a few seconds of regeneration as well.

Also, invest in WvW infusions. They do help.
Before I begin I’d like to state that I’m not accusing you or trying to put you down in any way;
Don’t put effort in to something you’re not willing to lose. As someone who has spent hours upon hours doing tower/camp/keep maintenance, scouting, solo roaming, killing yaks and harassing enemy camps, I can say from experience that it’s a thankless job. If I put hours in to upgrading a tower from wooden to fully fortified with siege and it flips 5 minutes after it finishes it’s final upgrade I’d be lying if I said it’s not discouraging. But I do it because I enjoy being a part of the backbone that holds my server together. You will rarely get a thanks, not everyone will know your name and it’s kitten the wallet… Really there aren’t a lot of benefits but I still enjoy it more than mindless zerging all day. That, and the people that do appreciate it appreciate it enough that they will send you donations or thank you personally which to me means a lot.
There are times where I won’t bother with scouting or defense such as when towers/keeps etc. are flipping before they can get 5 yaks to them or when we’re clearly outnumbered (this week on Jade Quarry, but no complaints because it’d be boring if numbers were always even or one server was always winning) but I don’t ever really “slow down.” I’d just say know when to take a break from being defender and merge with the zerg for a while or go do something else. I usually shout in /map that I’ll be leaving my post and that it’d be great if someone could take my spot for a while. If any one ever blames you for not being there when something is attacked to call it out, don’t take it personally. The game isn’t a job and shouldn’t be treated as one, so just enjoy and know when to either take a break from the game or when to do something that requires less effort (zerging.)/Salute
To all the scouts out there; you’re not wanted, you’re needed! Keep it up ^^
I think that you may have missed it, but by your description, that is indeed “slowing down.” Since we both know that eventually the gold has to run out for upgrades and siege, doing it less often, taking breaks for PvE or zerg running/busting, etc, is slowing down. I also agree with everything you said.
I could write out a lengthy response but I simply think “Yes” works just fine here.
True, Ark, but 99% of the reports on this forum about this issue involve someone buying 2 of the “red ring of death.”
Can’t argue with that. The funny thing is, you can craft versatile infusions that will go in either offensive or defensive (and hey, you get some AR out of them too), so if having 2 mighty infusions is really that important, you can spend the gold to get them. Yeah, I know, forging them isn’t cheap, but if you’re not planning on changing your rings or accessories out again, it can be done.
The only exception is that there are no versatile WvW infusions, which is probably a bummer for some people who’d like to have the extra dmg % against guards/lords rather than the damage reduction on their armor. For me, it works out fine, since I have 6 WvW resilient infusions and my weapon sets all have one precise and one mighty on them. The damage reduction (6%) is pretty substantial if you’re a camp-flipping roamer that doesn’t have stealth retreats, clones, or blinds. The 2% damage increase on weapon sets is fairly negligible, but it’s still 2%. A sigil of force is 5-6 gold and offers only an overall 5% increase. Any extra damage or damage reduction is still that: extra. All of it helps.
Btw how did that go?
Poorly, and nowhere.
All of my “angry” posts from earlier today have been deleted. Every single one of them. Even the thread they were in where the other people were simply asking the same question as the OP, albeit much more politely than me.
Hah. jim is funny. you must be new.

.
250 G? Where you get that kind of cash?
I only play WvW and I can’t afford to upgrade. Up until the other day I still had some green trinkets on one of my toons lol.
I do make superior siege and donate it to the commanders and server guild stash.
I do regular AC runs (all paths) every day. CoF1 and HotW1 every day. Sometimes all of CoE (those charged cores/lodestones add up). I sell a bolt of damask and deldrimor steel ingot every day. I turn karma into gold. I invest in new skins when they come out and sell them months later when they are worth 10x what I bought them for. During the festival, I spent so much time gold blitzing in the Crown Pavilion I ended up with 670 gold chests (that’s 6700 lvl80 t6 champ bags). And plenty of other methods I’ve learned after PvEing for a long time. There are a lot of different ways to make cash without spending too much time in PvE, which for me, has gotten less and less lately (meaning less income, and being unable to make back what I’ve been spending, hence my defense slowdown).
For the IoJ and CD people who posted, I’m on HoD. If there’s a superior AC raining down helpless fire on your 2 or 3 omegas, there may be an annoying sylvari with an eyepatch wearing silver and blue armor manning it. If you put down rams on south bay or hills, the treb blowing them up from the other side is likely mine. When your trebs hit from SW tower, I’m amongst a few others who try to sneak to the top of battle’s hollow to speed-build a balli to try and take it out. I’m the idiot who pops endure pain and defiant stance then bull’s rushes into the ring and hits take root while you’re capping just to prevent it for a few more seconds before I suicide. When you guys decide to raid, you sure as hell don’t hold back, I’ll give you that.
Hi.
(edited by Ark Bladesteele.2943)
Probably in about a year, when WvW is desolate and empty and people have long since abandoned it for what is likely a game that gives a kitten about RvR or GvG or WvW.
The new soundtrack is indeed fantastic. I loved logging in to Dry Top after the patch and letting the music keep going as I went back to Lion’s Arch. It gave me flashbacks to FF XII’s wonderful desert roaming soundtrack.
Been encountering a lot of roamers in WvW using hacks like auto-heals (even in downed states without rallying out of nothing) and multi hits (combat chat registers multiple damage hits in one hit) lately in our tiers.
I’m not requesting that ANET do anything about it as i’m sure their too busy but can anyone suggest any easy to use and free software to record these for posterity?
Thanks in advance!
Ok, so I’m not crazy. That warrior I just downed without anyone or anything else around doesn’t have some skill or trait unknown to me that allowed him to instantly self-revive (not talking about Vengeance, I mean instantly). I’ve been seeing this a lot lately.
Also, if you use MSI Afterburner (and everyone should!) it has a very good built-in utility for recording ingame footage.
Sounds like he rally.
Yeah, he could have gotten exp from an event/fight and leveled(I think that’s possible).
Honestly, I think the most rampant hacks used are movement speed and see through walls.
It’s not just the one time. Again, as I said in my post, I’ve been seeing it a lot. I had one guy do it on me 3 times in a row yesterday. It’s not rallying.
Also, wouldn’t you see the burst of light if the guy leveled? I didn’t.
Braham’s Shield too, please

Back to Siegerazer. This guy can be a great utility if you’re trying to come from behind, so I’m glad he exists. On the other hand, if a pug militia or guild group decides to go on a raid run in your borderlands, and their server is already ahead of you by 70k, is this really what ANet intended? My thoughts and proposals on Siegerazer:
- Increase the number of people required to activate him if their server is ahead of the server’s borderlands they’re currently attacking by a certain percentage of points. I’m not sure of how to formulate the logistics for this, as early in the match percentages could just be a few hundred points instead of 5k or 10k or 50k, etc, but at least make it harder for someone who’s already winning to win even more easily.
- Make it so the guy isn’t so unbelievably strong. A group of 5 will have trouble against him, and even then he’s going to take a good few minutes to kill — that’s if he’s alone. If he’s not, people will hide in his buff radius and not only is taking Razer down almost a non-option, it’s insanely hard to kill these people. Since it only takes 5 to activate, it shouldn’t take 5 so long to shut him down. I’ve found that the best recourse is often to kill his elder yak, and then just let him sit there so he doesn’t reset and thus be reactivated again so quickly (this is actually funny, because he will literally just stand there doing nothing after the yak is dead except roar at the gate. At least that doesn’t do any damage).
- If the server attempting to activate Siegerazer is already ahead by an extremely wide margin, don’t allow him to be activated at all. Again, it shouldn’t make the winners able to win even more easily.
Finally, the question: do you bother? If so, why? What’s BL defense like on your server? Do you find it enjoyable or tiresome/tedious (the hurry up and wait mentality, in a sense)? For me, it seems that when an attack occurs, it ends up being more fruitful to speed-build a couple arrow carts when needed to drive enemies away, and often it works out pretty well. The same goes with speed-building a balli if someone’s cracking into a cata wall, or on the top of Battle’s Hollow if they’re trebbing bay from SW tower, etc. I’m truly interested in others’ thoughts on this.
(edited by Ark Bladesteele.2943)
I’ve posted about Borderlands defense before, but I thought I’d pop a few bullet points to explain where I’m coming from. After the tournament, when I realized that nobody was really doing BL defense anymore (there are about 5 of us that are truly dedicated to watching camps and towers and initiating immediate responses if we see swords), I decided to start doing things myself. I am still a bit green to wuvwuv, as this is only my 5th month in playing, just FYI. So, since then, I’ve learned the following:
- In the first week of my defense campaign, it cost me me about 90-100 gold in upgrades and superior siege, siege mainly because it was often not refreshed and I’ll be placing siege at the same points every few hours. At about 20s+ per superior arrow cart as an example, this can get rather expensive.
- Upgrades cost money, and often karma. That increased supply delivery you just had to reorder from the camp you flipped back? 10 silver. Want to upgrade the camps even more? More silver. Oh, and karma this time too. Yep.
- Tower and keep upgrades, even more expensive. We don’t want our towers and keeps to be paper, right? We want waypoints in the keeps, right? Well, that’ll cost ya. A lot, actually. You’ll go through a few gold if you’re the only one that’s ordering upgrades at keeps alone. Unfortunately, many people have learned this, and are often unwilling to order the upgrades themselves, instead asking in map chat if someone can order upgrade X at location Y, and if nobody responds, it doesn’t get ordered.
- Playing defense has downright abysmal rewards. If nobody attacks, you get nothing. There’s no WXP or karma to be had by building siege. Repairs get you a pitiful amount of WXP, and so does building cannons/mortars/oils. Compared to, say, running offense in EBG, it’s peanuts. You also won’t be seeing any kind of income from this, as even when you do successfully repel an enemy attack, unless you managed to kill 20-30 people on your arrow cart, you’re just going to get 200 WXP for a gold rewarded defense, some XP, and some karma, and that’s it.
- Bottom line: defense costs a lot, but there is no measure to reward the people defending to even the costs out so that they don’t go broke. The people out in EBG are gaining ranks like crazy, farming zergs, flipping camps, towers, keeps, SMC, over and over, and the people holding the borderland for them so they can go off and do so get virtually nothing for it. Feature, or bug?
After dumping about 250g since the tournament into defense, I’ve slowed a bit. Is this the conclusion others have arrived at as well? For example, I’ll only build maybe one superior AC on each keep gate, and a gate treb on the most-often attacked gate, because I know at least the trebs will generally be refreshed because they’re giant, have an icon on the map, and people routinely pop in one when they’re running by it because it’s quick and easy. North towers generally get a cata on the gate and maybe one superior AC, and I’ll do my best to keep them upgraded. South towers, forget it. I’ve spent the time and effort warhorning dolyaks into the towers to get them upgraded to T3, but even then, unless response time is super fast and there are enough people to do it, a group of 5 or so can easily breach a fully fortified tower in minutes by activating our favorite overpowered nightmare, Siegerazer. Why was his activation dropped to a flat 5 people as a requirement again? I’ll get to this guy in a minute.
I’m fully aware that this is probably different on many other servers, where people share the cost of upgrades, siege refreshing is commonplace, and there are generally more than 5 people in the BL at all given times to help with doing so as well as responding to attacks. I was actually shocked at first when I called some people over from EBG to help defend Hills, when one guy asked in map chat where Hills was because he’d never been to a BL. A bit of a learning experience for me, there: some people only do EBG, and have no idea what siege refreshing is, or in this case, where some things are even located in borderlands.

The email address apparently no longer works. It used to be exploits@arena.net, but it’s been removed. See here:
It used to be valid, according to this post:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/forum/Email-to-exploits-arenanet-com-undeliverable
Also, expect this thread to be either locked or deleted because you can’t even talk about exploits or hacking in this forum, and don’t expect your support ticket to go anywhere (the same people have been hacking and exploiting for MONTHS without being banned), ingame reports seemingly disappear into a neverending void, I’m guessing they just route them all to //dev/null (you’ll also never get a response from these so it’s impossible to tell if anyone’s even reading them. Hint: probably not). Also, if there are GMs ingame that are available 24/7, we don’t know who they are and there’s no information on how to contact them if you see someone hacking/exploiting to deal with the situation immediately.
Welcome to hell! Enjoy your stay!

I would recommend camping in a small quickly loading zone and then jumping to brisban after. The reason being that when they change a map they essentially make a new instance of it which your character is not in. This means you will load into brisban (old map) the game will say “opps that is not a valid map anymore” and will then re-load you into the new map, essentially making you load brisban twice. If you start off in a small quickly loading zone then you can port straight to brisban faster!
Edit: the patches also usually don’t come until 3-4 PM EDT, so you will have most of the day to play without the patch
…it wouldn’t matter if he was camping out anyway. When the patch comes out it would force him out to patch it after a certain amount of time. Sometimes you get an hour, sometimes you get 10 minutes.
I’ve never once thought about equipping two of the same ring, but I guess its because I dont have the berzerker mentality.
You don’t need a “berzerker” mentality to think that. Many people want to have the same stats on both of their accessories or rings. This is why two different accessories/rings with the same stats, except one with an offensive and one with a defensive infusion slot, exist.
Having two of the same anything doesn’t mean you’re a “berzerker.”
No thanks. I get enough gold seller spam as it is.
I do not think you understand how chat works. Gold spammers typically use whisper because it can’t be suppressed.
The other gold sellers that you see do it in map chat, do it because all worlds can see it, and they don’t spam because they supress quickly. Why would they bother with world chat?
Dungeons, fractals (for what you can salvage from the exotics), but yeah mainly dungeons. T6 farming is profitable but highly grindy and boring.
And then there’s the ascended mats. If you’re not doing ascended gear anymore or not for a while, bolts of damask and deldrimor steel are profitable. To get the linen and wool you’ll need a bit of karma and some mystic forging, but I pull 18g a day selling one of each. Silk and mithril are everywhere so it’s never been an issue getting my hands on what I need just through daily play.

No zombie skills please. IIRC that was done in another mmo and the result was really bad. ‘Corrupted blood incident’
Yeah, except the results were not what were intended. It was a fantastic look into how an epidemic would spread throughout the populace, though.
Already pleaded for it. I believe the thread was locked. +1’d it anyway, because yeah, what in the everloving hizzell were they thinking not implementing this when rolling out megaservers?
Low level as valuable as anyone else in that setup.
Haha not at all… A level 5 character can do extremely little. A level 80 is about equal to 5 level 5 chars – especially if its a good player.
But anyway, you’re right it doesnt really matter. WvW should definetly not have a level requirement. Many people do WvW only even when leveling. Its worked perfectly fine for the past 2 years and havent hurt WvW at all. Personally I’m a little surprised that many people even stomach playing WvW without a level 80, I cant even tolerate being level 60 because you’re so kitten weak. But hey they do. Kudos to them for running around as cannon fodder.
A level 80 that is at least any good could take 10-20 level 5s. I mean, you can basically swing an axe at each one (oh hey, cleave, so 3 at a time!) and they’ll drop.
Is the time and date of your Computer set correct ? This can mess up the reset.
For the record, no, it can’t. You could set your date and time to 8 hours and 3 minutes off from your actual clock in 2025 and the game won’t care. The server controls resets, and it will be at the same universal time of day no matter what your clock says.
How about an informal poll:
Name the three most dangerous Class/Builds you fight against in small fight scenarios. Note: Annoying doesn’t count.
A bit late:
1) Thief. Most of the time I can’t see them. The rest of the time they’re 2-shotting me in the back and throwing 20 stacks of bleeding on me. I think all classes should have a trait or skill that allows them to strip stealth from an enemy, much like boon stripping.
2) Necro. And this may just be me, and it’s just some of them. I’ve never played one, so I don’t know how they really work, aside from ending up dead after a few seconds with most I come across with way more conditions on me than I can cleanse before my HP is zero.
3) None. I’m fine with everything else. Mesmers used to bother me until I learned to avoid their clones and always focus on the real one. It took me a while to figure out how they were killing me so well, until I leveled one to 80. Once I knew how it all worked, fights got much more interesting if not easier. Engineers can be a bit tricky, but I’ve only come across a few that I didn’t really get. And one was glitching all over the place from lag that he was kitten near impossible to hit, so I’m not sure that counts.
And I know you said no to annoying, but for me, thieves that want to duel. Yeah. The most boring effing duels imaginable, because inevitably when they get low on health they’ll stealth out to heal and then run back. If I see one that wants to fight, I just run by them. One killed me in just a regular-old-ran-into-each-other fight (which lasted way too long), and then was waiting for me at the same spot. He bowed. I kept running to the spot I was already heading for. He didn’t follow. I didn’t care.
I hate to break it to you, but this bug has existed since the game’s existence and happens with many other skills and situations. Don’t expect to see it fixed soon, if ever.
Your only way out is to emote or use a toy. I’ve gotten used to having /sit copied in my clipboard so can paste it when it happens. It blows.
I doubt they have a fix planned for this. For now, put a matching stacking sigil on one of your underwater weapons and the stacks won’t disappear.
I had no idea FKB was doing any kind of recruiting. I didn’t read about it on the server forums or see it anywhere else. Take it out on them or something? Send them mean mail? kitten in their cokes? I really don’t know what to say. I suppose it’s hard for me to understand why people get so much enjoyment out of watching us get pummeled, to the point where they actively don’t attack each other (well, usually) and instead decide to double-team a server they know has lost a lot of its players. I sure as hell felt bad watching FA fall from T2, for example.
Anyways. I’m not a server representative or anything like that. I don’t speak for all of HoD. And I know that this week things have changed between CD and IoJ, so it’ll be interesting to see how that pans out. Also, had a great time with an IoJ bronze general earlier. We dueled 3 times and it was close, but I still have trouble against thieves, so you win. At one point when he realized I was just going to run by him and not fight, he stood on top of the arch of sw camp which had been flipped by CD, and cheered while I killed the guards and capped it. Thanks, Mr. Whoever You Are. I got a laugh out of it.
Since you’re new you probably don’t understand that this is kind of a karma thing for HoD. In fact, more players are laughing about your servers situation then HoD has people crying about it on their server.
That’s nice and all, and I know why some people laugh about it. But we didn’t recruit anybody for the tournament, we didn’t buy guilds, we didn’t pay people to man siege at all hours of the day. We were a free transfer server, and when the tourney ended, all the people that transferred over for a free 1st place transferred out.
Karma would entail that we did something bad, and now something bad should happen to us, correct? We didn’t do anything wrong. We had no control over Anet’s allowance of free transfers. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that we “deserve” this and revel in it.
Waypointing and fortifying our keeps, YB style. Can’t wait to see the Maguuma Wastes, the concept art and teaser have me intrigued. Finally an area that looks new, interesting, and freshly designed.
Don’t forget CD came from a lower tier the week before last. So they have to work their way through your current tier before advancing higher. One week isn’t enough.
Also, lol you’re basing this on reset night? Are you new to wvw?
Pretty new, yeah. 3 or 4 months since I started playing. I’m still getting the hang of things. I know we have about 0 coverage between 2am-10am, so with last week’s results, this wasn’t exactly unexpected.
It’s just.. well, I’m not exactly looking forward to another week like last. Maybe take a break or something. Oh hey, there’s that shiny new PvE coming out in 3 days… sparkles
It’s the same. With roughly the same results so far.
CD absolutely crushed us. IoJ I did expect to see again, but really, what kind of system figures out a matching like this after what happened last week?
Also, hey CD, could you go bash on IoJ’s BL for a little while? We’d like to at least upgrade our keeps and not drive away every single player that logs in to our BL and sees a map that looks like this. You do want a good fight this week, don’t you? Right? Awesome, thanks.
Welp. I’m on HoD. I’ve been commanding borderland defense for a while.
IoJ held our hills for 2 days and upgraded it to a full T3. We finally took it back today after 3 golem rushes and 15 of my omegas.
Then everyone left. Within 25 minutes, a guild group from CD rolled in and flipped our entire borderlands blue. All-calls were sent. I asked if anyone was in map, 2 people answered. My last refuge was garri, manning an arrow cart alone on inner garri trying to stop them from taking it. I didn’t.
I spent 17 hours in our BL today working it back to full fortification. 17 hours. It was gone in 30 minutes.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I should probably just leave everything paper, wait for everything to flip, then flip it back. At least then I won’t be down a hundred gold and 17 hours of wasted time, and I’ll get champ bags and WXP.
This is why I logged off when I watched the last keep flip. This is why I’m now posting here before I head off to bed. I’m simply completely and utterly spent, and after all the effort and gold put into defending our BL, I’m not doing it again tomorrow. This has happened 2 days in a row now, and I’m sick of it.
Welcome to my world.
I’m right with the OP here. Yesterday, I went through 80g in our borderlands, sieging up all 3 keeps, 2 towers, and upgrading them to T3. I personally refreshed all of the siege. There are about 5 of us that hang around in our borderlands at all times; the rest are in EBG and only respond to all-calls so they can zerg bust. We actually had a great time yesterday; beat back a massive golem rush (even ending in an epic battle inside garri lord’s with omegas vs. omegas). It was exhausting, but satisfying, and it pushed until 5am and I had to sleep.
I woke up, all siege was gone (nobody refreshed), keeps had all been flipped, towers flipped, so I started over. Took back garri. Took back hills. Took back bay. Upgraded bay, garri, and hills to T3. Northeast tower to T3. Throughout the day blue was constantly flipping camps and caught them several times speed-building omegas, so I knew the impending rush was coming. I warned multiple guilds in TS and EBG map chat that we may need an all-call, that a golem rush was coming.
I had to sign off for maintenance on my internet connection for 3 hours, and when I came back all the siege was gone. Garri was barren. Bay outer was all that remained. I had parked 2 omegas in lord’s of each keep just in case — all 6 gone. Ten minutes later, the golem rush came; 10 omegas and nothing to stop them. They steamrolled our entire borderland. We took all 3 keeps back, and started upgrades and siege, but before we could get anything done (it takes a long time to build siege with only 2 people running supply for each piece, and that’s exactly what we were doing) blue rolled through each keep one at a time and capped them. They did this 2 more times.
Now, at 4am today, I’m down 150g, and our borderlands aren’t ours. I logged off after the 3rd time they flipped everything. Not a rage quit. I just realized that without any help, there was nothing left for me to do. I’m tired. Beaten back. Insulted in chat by people from EBG for not putting up enough siege to defend.
I logged out in despair. I could spend the next 6 hours on autopilot trying to get everything back in order, but I’m afraid I’ll just go to sleep, wake up, and find everything gone again.
I have been doing this for a long time, and commanded defense in our borderlands before the tourney, during, and after.
I think I should have spent that 150g on something better than insults and ridicule. I’ll be back tomorrow, of course, to start the whole thing over again, but am I going to end up going to sleep like this every night? Or do I feel comfortable leaving our borderlands in capable hands, and don’t have to worry about herding cats or solo running supply from camps to get a few ACs up on the walls and trebs on the gates?
I don’t know. I just know that right now, I don’t want to play WvW. And this is after being steamrolled last week so badly that we didn’t see our keeps once after reset night because an enemy server took them, upgraded them to T3, and sieged and manned them better than we ever had — in our own borderlands! But I had fun in other ways.
Somehow, and I don’t know why, this feels ten times worse.
So I just got Kudzu and it’s adorable and all but it has very low visibility. The only way I can tell who has a Kudzu is by following the flower trail because seeing the weapon itself is very hard from a distance. Doesn’t seem fitting for a legendary.
I can recognize Kudzu here and there but out of all legendary it is not very outstanding.
I, however, can’t have any love in both legendary bows, for longbow i think Wing of Dwayna looks more legendary to me.
Wings of Dwayna is my favorite as well; I would never make Kudzu. WoD is a fantastic looking bow, with the featherfalls, shape, colors, size (massive!) — everything.

Think about it for a sec. What other elements in the game generate more out of nothing other than dungeon.
I thought about it. It didn’t take long.
World bosses. Stand in one place at a pre-determined time, press 1 repeatedly, win rewards. Rewards that generally add up to 1-2 gold or even more if you get an exotic or highly valued rare. And all can be done in about 15 minutes and in many cases, much less.
Nerf everything! Everything is killing the economy! The economy is killing the economy! Kill it!
It oddly looks like a normal map. Kinda neat. Er, I mean normal map in the map used for giving textured materials depth. Not as in, you know, it looks normal.
World bosses are essentially junk for gold. Get your token rare and whatever other bonus rares you get, your dragonite, salvage the rares for ecto (or sell them if you can get cheaper rares to salvage, sometimes certain skins are worth quite a bit — 50 silver and up), and move on.
